Mimi couldn't help but hold her breath at the room that they stepped into. Although they were definitely still in mirrorspace, this area felt... different? She couldn't place why exactly, but the feeling both caused her to be a bit afraid and excited. Whatever led to the cracks would be coming up soon, right?
She looked around the room. Their group, her family was slowly getting more and more beat up. Mimi eventually noticed Acubens and the small group she was helping, including Ptolemaeus. It seemed like he was decently hurt from the flying glass. Working up the courage, Mimi walked up to him and gave him a weak smile.
"Do you want to go up this thing together? I'm less banged up than you." Mimi paused, unsure of how he'd take the next part. "I can't help with your injuries, but I can at least help you on your way up?" She wanted to help people... somehow? The progress would be slow for them, but at least they'd be able to make their way up.

(( They're going the same way up, so I thought this would help~ <3 Although a bit late xD ))
"Hm?" Ptolemaeus beamed when he caught sight of Mimi's smile and realized she was addressing him. "I'd appreciate that, angel-face. Thanks for offering. Just wish I could be of some use as well."
Beginning his ascension, he considered the dark-eyed brunette. "I don't think I caught what you were the senshi of, Mimi. Care to enlighten me?"
He didn't want to slow her down unnecessarily, but if she was going to be kind enough to accompany him, he wasn't going to complain. He felt it was much better to pass the time doing tedious things like climbing when you had someone to pass it with.
"Probably because this place was waiting to see how I'd do wall climbing in pumps." Diadem answered, trying not to look as flustered as she felt, which was not easy. She didn't exactly -do- wall climbing on a regular basis. She liked her nails, she liked her make up...
Still, she could feel it, and in one relative piece, she wasn't planning on being the first one to try and go back. Especially not alone...
So she drew herself up with as much nobility as she could muster under the circumstance, and nodded stiffly to the wall like a challenger entering her ring/
"Familiarity isn't the same thing as expertise I've found. Not always." Just because you were used to living by the banks of a river didn't mean it wouldn't surprise you and flood it's banks... Being familiar with crocodiles didn't necessarily stop one of them from trying to eat you.
It did however offer an advantage in situations like this one, where she found herself struggling up the wall.
Hand holds kept crumbling in her grip, or her feet would slip (She didn't dare take off her shoes for fear of slicing her feet to ribbons in what protection they had), and her heart sounded like a kettle drum in her ears well before she reached a relatively safe place, half way up, with a barely concealed shake in her hands, where she paused to catch her breath, as much as she could, and pretend to examine the change of scenery. The broken frames, the lost misty beyond of the ceiling... it was dream like and eerie, as though normal points of reference had been turned on their side, and none of it was helped by that feeling that they were getting closer, which was both exciting and alarming.
As Crocus crawled out on the other side of the tunnel he was quite happy to see that they were all able to regroup. He was only a little worried that they would all end up separated. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little bit winded from the pang in his shoulder, but he'd been as careful with it as he could while making his way through.
They were confronted by a very strange space and a steep cliff in front of them. He looked up, but couldn't make out the ceiling at all. "Are we even still in mirrorspace?" He looked toward Remarque since he had followed the Prince through the tunnels and he was close by at the moment. There was a sense that something was near by. Could it be the cause of this intrusion? He couldn't really tell much more other than something was there, whether it had any intention to harm them or not was unknown.
Acubens and Kiuchi were near him then and he looked toward Acubens as she made her demands. Before he could tell Acubens to help Kiuchi, he spoke up first and started to scale up without them. Crocus put his hands on his hips and let out a little sigh. "I know you mean well Acubens, but I can do this and I'm not going home. But, you can follow after me and if something does happen, I know you'll be there to support me." He gave her shoulder a little squeeze and then turned around to face the wall.
Of course it was going to suck. He'd was going to be a little slower, mostly because he'd have to try to position himself to use his right arm to pull him up and just focus on using his left to keep him steady. He followed after Kiuchi, prepared to help out his friend if he needed it as well. Actually, their path wasn't all that bad. They found all the right sturdy hand holds and were half-way up before he realized it. "That wasn't so bad." He shoulder definitely hurt, but at least it wasn't bleeding anymore. He was worried all the movement would cause that, but it was holding up well for a makeshift bandage.

Once they were halfway up the ledge, Sinope sat on the edge of one platform to rest. He glanced at Crocus, Kiuchi, Sadalsuud, and Acubens out the corner of his eye. A unit, Acubens had said. A family, he'd heard some of them mention. How nice for them. But he was almost certain they would regret it. There were always bound to be problems when you let it be known that you cared for others.
It wasn't that he didn't want to join. Who actually preferred to be excluded from a group? Sure, it was nice to be alone sometimes, but even introverts enjoyed being included every now and then, having their presence acknowledged and their words listened to. If Sinope dared, he would have joined in in an instant. But he was a coward and he knew it.
From playing class clown at Romano's, he prided himself on being able to seem sociable and friendly when he wanted. He was the fun-loving type of person who tended to get into trouble a lot but people liked hanging around with because of that. As long as it remained superficial, he didn't mind.
What worried him was that he was caring too much about these people. He thought he'd had everything under control until Kiuchi and then Crocus had gotten badly hurt. If he'd been in his right mindset, he felt he shouldn't have cared at all. If he had no choice in the matter and was forced to care regardless, the least he could have remained calm and trusted them to know how to take care of themselves.
But he hadn't; he'd freaked out on them instead. That was what had worried him the most. He wasn't supposed to concern himself so much about other people. They were getting him caught up in their family-like feelings against his will!
Maybe, though...maybe if he tried again, he could control his emotions better this time. Maybe he could keep them at a proper distance.
Checking on Sadalsuud, he said, "You were talking before about your magic taking the form of a glowing, four-leaf clover. Do you think maybe it might be able to do something? Maybe not actively, but passively. Do you feel anything different when you hold it?"
"And you," Sinope continued, looking to Kiuchi. "Your power about making people sick...what if it has to do with snakes? I mean, your outfit is covered with them and gorgons are associated with them... Maybe it's a stretch, but it makes me think about snake venom causing illness." He scratched his head. "I was hoping to see you around Romano's, maybe, but if you're graduating soon, guess not. I'm 16 and I just ended my first year of high school."
Casting a lop-sided grin at Crocus, he said, "Distractions are good. Maybe my magic's meant to be a distraction like yours. The only trouble is while your magic fragrance might draw others' attention away from you, mine tends to draw attention toward me." Turning away in embarrassment, he rubbed the back of his neck.
"It's, uh...I guess I can make people think I know something about them they don't want me knowing. Then they just want to beat me up. The thing is, I don't actually know it, so it's not like I can even use it against them. And I suck at fighting or defending myself, so then I'm pretty much screwed unless I can talk my way out of the situation." Shrugging, he forced a laugh. "Kinda fun to see them get so worked up, though. And sometimes they accidentally give me hints as to what they think I might know."
Suddenly, the sight of one of the senshi girls making slower progress than most caused Sinope to grin. It was Diadem. He grinned; he couldn't resist.
Cupping his hands over his mouth, he called down to her, "Hang in there, Rainbows! Oh, no wait - it was..." The redhead paused, contorting his face for a moment as he pretended to strain for a memory. "...Diarrhea, right? You can do it, Diarrhea! Pretty good progress, considering your outfit and footwear."
Oh man, he did not envy her sailor uniform. At least she had pants, he supposed, but those heels?! And yet despite his pity, he couldn't help feeling a certain degree of schadenfreude in watching her struggle. Served her right after the comment she'd made about him to Laverna.
Acubens wasn't certain what the various reactions would be. Something a long the lines of validation of her own short comings, perhaps. She hugged herself as she waited, avoiding the eyes of those that she was meant to be caring for as the second ticked by, stretching into eons as she waited for something. anything.
But she hadn't expected sweet silent Kiuchi to be the first one to speak. As he used the words that she had given him as though they were natural for him to speak, Acubens felt her eyes heating. He hugged her and she knew that he meant what he was saying. All of it. This Court had become his family as much as it was hers and within it Kiuchi had grown. More than she had expected, to be honest. He was taking initiative, pushing himself... coming into himself. Acubens felt herself swelling with pride as he climbed, no longer as helpless as she had found him. He would, perhaps, always keep his softness, which would end up being a boon to him, Acubens knew, but he would draw his strength from that softness.
And then something unexpected happened. Ptolemy came to speak to her. someone who owed her nothing, knew nothing about her, and still came to her aid. She rested her hand on his as he spoke, smiling her thanks. Without her knowing it, he had endeared himself to her the same as Crocus and Kiuchi had. He was new, she could feel it, but he didn't act it. He didn't need her as a teacher, that was certain. Then again, Crocus and Kiuchi wouldn't need her for much longer, by the looks of it...
Crocus pulled her out of her reverie. He was willing to go the wall alone as well? Alright then. The confidence of the three of them boosted her own confidence. The heat in her eyes was replaced by heat in her gut that pushed her forward. Behind him she would be, as always, ready to catch him if he fell.
As it would seem, however, she was the one in need of assistance. Halfway up the wall, her arms and legs began to freeze up on her. Why? She wasn't a body builder, but she was an athlete. Not out of shape by any means. This should not have been an issue. Looking down, it seemed like she had gone a lone way, but above her the wall still stretched on. Ptolemy, Mimi, Crocus, and Kiuchi made it over the ledge, and for that she was grateful. Her own progress, however, had been halted for the moment as she caught her breath. Hopefully they wouldn't notice that she had fallen behind. They had stated the the fate of the court was their priority, and well it should be... but because of this, they needed to be focused on what laid a head of them, not worried about her. She would make it up. After a short rest.

Mimi couldn't help but blush slightly at being called 'angel face'. In a normal day to day base, she had a pretty good resting b*tch face, so wasn't normally talked to or complimented. Other times, she was covered in grease and was 'one of the guys' at the mechanics. "You can do something for me another time if it makes you feel bad." She winked. "But definitely not a have to!"
They made their way slowly, but surely. Mimi made sure that she was beside Ptolemaeus as much as she could. "Oh. My apologies." She bit her lip; usually she was much more polite than that. "I'm the Senshi of Nightshade. It's a pretty broad spectrum of plants, but my magic deals mostly with the toxic kind."
"Did... I miss what your sphere was as well?" She got up to an area that was a little difficult for her to pull herself up, so she felt Ptolemaeus would most likely need some help. "Here, grab my hand and we'll both work on getting you up here."

The sight of the girl's blush caused Kit's grin to broaden and it was all he could do to keep from chuckling when she winked. "It would be my pleasure," he assured her. "Just let me know whenever I can be of service."
When she apologized, he laughed aloud and shook his head. "Relax! No apology necessary. I know everyone was kinda talking over each other haphazardly before, so there was probably a lot we missed. Nightshade, huh? That's really cool. Even without mentioning the toxic kind, it sounds pretty dangerous."
Shifting his focus to his next hand and footholds, he continued to beam even while facing the wall. "Ptolemaeus, Senshi of Change. My magic's pretty weird, vague as my sphere is; it depends on others' magic in order to be effective. I never know how it'll alter others' attacks, but the unpredictability makes it kind of fun."
With a mischievous look in his eye, the teen took his peer's hand as instructed, but kissed the back of it before telling her 'thank you' and using it to haul himself up. His cuts still stung a bit, but he hardly noticed, pleasant as the company was. "Aren't you hurt, too?" Even if she wasn't, that dress and those shoes didn't look like any picnic to climb with.
Kibirev nodded, giving a little smile at Lovejoy, then giving her friend a tight hug. “Yeah! So we just gotta keep going, you’re the one who always has the stamina for these types of things…right?” The smile faltered at the thought of something eating them…but honestly…she hoped that Lesath wouldn’t let something that horrible happen…though…not that Lesath really seemed to be paying much attention to them or what they were doing anyway…so maybe she would let them be eaten.
…Maybe they were just there to be fodder for monsters?
She drew in a breath then turned towards the cliff. “I’m…I’m heading up…I’ll see you at the top, LJ…I think you’re the best okay?”
Because that was something you said when you might end up dying…right?
The climb was so hard, and by the time the senshi reached the halfway mark, it felt as though her arms were made of rubber, and she was clinging to the wall as tightly as possible, trying to catch her breath.
Lesath had felt the hand on her bottom, and even though this place was literally trying to kill them, she couldn’t help the stupid grin that spread across her face and she gave Remarque a gentle shove. “Jeeze. You trying to tell me something, Rem?" Obviously. He was telling her that her skirt was riding up...but she hoped that there was more to it. "And yes, I’m as happy as you are that Chloe’s with grandma tonight. I think you and I could use some burgers and then some quality time…if you’re up to it.”
…If they weren’t smashed by a giant whatever in the next few minutes was the real issue.
“Come on, honey. Race you to the top. I think we should just keep trying to think of this as an adventure. Date night, even…or something. Something to keep us going, yeah?”
Clearly being here together was rekindling something between the two…not that anything had died or needed rekindling…but it had been a long time since they had flirted together while out as Remarque and Lesath…mostly because she hardly went out as Lesath.
But still.
She began to scale the cliffs with relative ease. Relative.
From tiny spaces to cliff faces. Whatever this places was seemed to beyond enjoying tormenting them. Following behind Diadem was both helpful and slow. However it meant she traveled in safety and kept her skin from anymore slices and cuts....something she was grateful for.
Balance. That was required as she moved. Balance years walking on a 4in beam provided her with.
What it didn't provide her with was tolerance from stupidity. Blue eyes flickered up and she lifted a hand off the wall and provided a nice, single middle finger to the senshi who had decided to mock her new friend. "Not as if much more can be said for you, Centipede." Laverna hissed back, reaching a hand out for Diadem.

A grin grew on Remarque’s face. “A woman after my own heart, aren’t you.”
He was trying to stay in a good mood; Mirrorspace wasn’t exactly the most romantic environment right now, but he was making the best of it—and hoped that everyone else was, too.
He followed her to the wall and winked. “You go first. I’ll be right behind you.”
He was competitive, of course, but this was win-win either way. Make it to the top and get bragging rights, or take it slow and get bragging sights.
Remarque tried very hard not to comment on the colorful nicknames being flung around; instead, he focused on ascending the wall after Lesath. He didn’t take the same route as her, partially because his wings got in the way and he didn’t want to power down into his Eternal form or deal with bumping into people with them.
His time as a boxer meant that his upper body muscles were still in pretty good shape despite the fact that ascending a wall and punching a target weren’t quite the same thing.
He was careful, though; there was a part of him that wanted to make sure Lesath stayed above him. If she fell, he could catch her. If anyone fell, maybe he could catch them, too, but at least where he was he knew she was safe.
It might not have been a comfortable landing, but if he had to pop his wings out and glide to the bottom, it was better than landing in a heap on the floor.
