When the commotion had all gone down with Gerard, she took care not to draw any attention to herself. Instead, she watched as Sarcel and some others talked, before she left the room. Perhaps Gerard had a cusp blood color, or just a very confusing color to troll vision spheres, like she did. Although she was a blueblood, many saw her color as a lower purple, and was it her job to correct their mistake? No. But still, she felt a twang of pity. Seemed he was rather disliked at the party, if someone would spread such a rumor about him.

Still, she had better things to do, and more trolls to see. Like Tamiya, banging on the ablutionblock door. Eostre smiled at the colorful language. Volcano would probably enjoy meeting Tamiya... Eostre took a seat on the arm rest of Kursha's lounge chair, ready to focus again. "Hello again," she said, placing a hand on her chin. "I think the investigation is going well, all things told..." [sorry i'll clean this later im not feeling well]

Leeroi was stunned, for a lack of better words. Elidae had torn away so suddenly, it left him with a feeling that he could only describe as emptiness. He ultimately felt like he had done something wrong, that he was clueless and making a fool of himself. Elidae had confirmed his prior suspicions, that she did want to share notes, but something felt wrong. Why was everyone lying tonight, even the trolls who had no reason to be suspicious?

Trailing behind Elidae, Leeroi gave a deep sigh, trying to wash away his depressing thoughts. This game was definitely not his preferred genre. There was no action, no comedy, at least in comparison to his other games. It only fed him with sadness and disappointment, he realized, thinking about Zindel and Schrad.

He had phased out the sound of Elidae's voice until she clambered up on the loveseat. Awestruck at Elidae's compliment, Leeroi blushed bright blue. After a moment, he flashed her an awkward, toothy smile, reaching up and rubbing at the back of his neck. He really had to get back to investigating, but Elidae was a very convincing distraction. Scratching his neck, he supposed sharing notes would probably warrant more clues than searching, anyways. And maybe, just maybe, they'd help take his mind off of what was making him so upset. "I guess that's alright," Leeroi acquiesced, pulling himself up on the seat.

Trying to put on his usual smirk, Leeroi turned to Elidae. "So what kind of cool secrets have you discovered?" He leaned back on his hands, kicking his feet in suspense.

Scurrying back into the central hivestem, Aconan headed to one of the chairs where she sat down and began writing furiously in her notebook.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Time was ticking.

Kursha drummed his fingers on the arms of the chair with his gaze centred across the room, where Elidae chatted amiably with her blueblooded friend. They were too far for him to make out what they were saying, but they appeared to be close. Emotionally and physically. The rapping of his nails turned sharp, as his body tensed. Eyes narrowed, he continued to watch, internally seething. It was stupid. He had no reason to be annoyed. They were just sharing notes—nothing wrong with that. Anyway, even if they did have something more between them, what did he care? He barely knew either of them. Yet...

His jaw clenched. Every muscle poised to spring to action. Then a gentle voice sounded near him. Incredibly near.

The spell was broken.

Startled, Kursha glanced up at Eostre, who had taken perch up on the arm of his chair. She smiled down at him, and he swallowed. A hint of green rose to his cheeks. s**t. How long had she been there? His eyes darted back to Elidae. If she had seen... No. He needed to focus. Forcing himself to relax, Kursha offered her a grin. He cocked his head to one side.

“Could be better,” he remarked with a shrug. “Actually, I found something I thought was pretty interesting. I wanted to get a second opinion before jumping to any conclusions though. Wanna join me?” He rose.

She didn't even bother asking what he was so focused on. That wasn't her focus. She had better things to do than pry two kids apart or babysit or whatever. Eostre nodded as Kursha spoke, smiling. This was more promising. Eostre hopped off the armrest. "Of course. Let's take a walk, shall we?" she said.

With his notes jotted down, Hazmas rolled up papers and returned them to their place in his sleeve. He closed his eyes for a moment letting his whirling thoughts settle like sediment in a calming pond. Letting his think pan settle, Hazmas let the rest of himself relax. It was tiring being wound up like a bad coil, ready break or spring, though being out of the spotlight wasn't half bad either.

He would've remained in that pose of reverie had it not been for the faint croaking sound that reached his sponge clots. Curious, the young greenblood hopped off his chair and strode over to investigate the window. He frowned, not quite sure what he was supposed to find, and turned just in time to see Chiara standing across the room. Giving the window a second glance, Hazmas made his way to the blueblood and gently, if not gingerly, tapped her shoulder.

"H-hey, uh, would it - mmmmm, can I talk to you?"

Evading her lusus somehow, Psykgi took a breather in the central hivestem and thought about what she had found thus far... Oh, why hadn't she brought her notebook?! She would have to write so-o-ooo much when she got home, but oh well. Such were these things...

Lorata sneaked another peek over at Elidae and Leeroi as she settled back in to think about what she'd discovered, and was more than a little annoyed that they still looked all cozy. She'd have to remind Elidae about how she'd met the weird blueblood, maybe in all the chaos she'd just forgotten how awful it had been. In the meantime, everyone else was still busy. She'd seen Kursha leaving with some girl, and Alifax and Sarcel still hadn't reappeared from wherever they'd both gone. Kicking her feet restlessly, she glanced back at her lusus.

No, Meduma was no good. She wouldn't talk about things.

With a huff, she scanned the room one more time. Quiet review was just boring. And oh, there was someone else all alone, just sitting there! The seadweller hopped up and made her way over without a second thought. She took a seat next to Hemera and leaned in with a bright smile. "Hello! Do you wanna talk?" As Meduma drifted over to settle in a new spot somewhere behind them, she cheerfully continued. "I'm Lorata, by the way! What's your name? Have you found very much yet?"

He turned to Sarcel - back to the door. He was pretty sure he knew the voice outside, and yet...

No one knew they'd been smoking...right? The smell was palpable, but they'd put the cigarette out, and it was gone. To Sarcel, he gave a tense shrug, unwilling to speak loudly in case the person outside heard. She wasn't going invisible, which meant - which meant. His hand shook on the door. "We've been exchanging information," he said quietly.
Then the lock turned and he looked out at...the purpleblooded priest lady. He slid his way out of the room, trying to look taller than Sarcel and not at all nervous. Smoking wasn't illegal on its own, and he'd have pulled Sarcel into the ablution block even if he'd just been planning to tell her things. That gave him confidence.

If one had been watching cloesly enough, they might have seen Mera startle just the tiniest bit at a new voice next to her; she had been too wrapped up in the goings-on to see Lorata scoot next to her. Her hands remained a good deal colder than they should be, even as she sat up straighter and perked up at the company. "Ah! Good evening. I would certainly enjoy a chat. Lorata? A pleasure to meet you! I'm Hemera, or Mera." She kept her hands clasped on her lap, back straight. She had to look good in front of a seadweller! And one so outgoing, too. A positive. "I...have not found as much as some have. Nothing on the board yet. But I have been contemplating some information I did receive...it's just a matter of if it is a real lead or just an inflated opinion." She sighed. "Trying to come to any conclusions about this mess has been tough work. Have you been leading an investigation, too? If so, any luck there?"

Pagoni glanced as Meduma came up nearby, fluffed his feathers, and stepped aside. He wasn't supposed to touch anyone while he was here. If a highblood's lusus was to get wax on them, ohhhh, he would never live it down. His little angel had kept herself in check so far. He couldn't imagine overcoming the embarrassment if a child held it together better than him!

Almost on cue, the lights flick off all over the hive. A few seconds pass, and as you start to feel uncomfortable, they flick on again. Confused, you make your way to the central hivestem, however no new dramatic occurrence seems to have happened. In fact, Gerard Rutven's petulant wail is suspiciously silent all over the hive.

All trolls have gathered in the central hivestem.
The fourth hour of the party has begun.
Your first move out of the central hivestem this hour does not loose you an investigation.

It is (also) a new ooc day! All investigations have been reset to 3.
Clues posted in the central hivestem will be pmed out shortly.

Some noted reminders:
Please remember that you lose an investigation if you switch Outgrowths during a party hour!
Please also remember that 100 words are required for EACH investigation that you do.
Finally, please be aware of the players and NPCs when entering a room and be mindful of their presence when you RP! Not only is it good etiquette, there are certain mechanics that rely on being mindful of character interactions.

Chiara Moteku
xxxxxReporting
Chiara stood there a while, tears threatening to flood her face. She didn't know what to do. She felt so alone. She couldn't ask Zindel for more, she had already relied on him so much this night, and the force of Eridia's words left her feeling cold and alone.

"Huh?" Chiara thought she heard something, shattering her frozen state. It was Hazmas. She had invited him to dinner a time long ago. He was a smart troll, it was his color that had found many facts on the chalk board. Chiara tried to force herself back to reality. She couldn't just stand here like a lump, there were things to do. Her think pan throbbed as she tried to force plans, thoughts, and facts into order. "Yeah, sure. Do you wanna exchange facts or something?" Chiara responded numbly, reaching up to rub her head. As if a switch turned on, slowly Chiara's think pan started up. She looked over at the chalk board. Yep, Hazmas had really helped a lot. There were more than a few lines in his particular color. Stepping in close to the other kid, Chiara said "Man, your smart, bet you could make more sense of these random scraps of info than i could."Leaning in a little more she added "How about an exchange, im interested in something i think is in your pocket." She winked, teasing him a little.

The door opened and Tamiya came face to face with a whiff of the fumes. Her nose twitched, but she focused on the troll responsible. Trolls. Responsible. Tamiya’s eyes widened. At first, Sarcel’s presence hit her like that of a ghost’s. She was watching the ablution block door carefully. There was no way such a bunglechump could muster such ********. Perhaps there was a window. Secret passage. Or perhaps even… Some kind of tricksy magic was at play. Now that Tamiya had assessed the situation, her eyes re-narrowed and she took a sharp whiff. Whatever they were smoking, it wasn’t a typical product. It was doubtful that it had to do with the case.

Tamiya brought her hand up perpendicular to her chin in a slicing fashion. “Shh.” She growled. Her words were cutting. “Your pseudoshitting pump-biscuits are leading you into a treacherously trumpeting tangle of misadventures tangential to this case. Now is not the goddamn time to explore one another’s souls and bodies. Remove yourself so that I may cleanse your pit of lascivious butt-smoking and that we may all return to this ******** investigation.”
She stood aside and fished in her robe for some salt. They would make a fair addition to the dried flowers on the load gaper.
Tamiya gave Sarcel a hard stare as she waited. She would figure out what Sarcel was up to. She had to learn – the least suspect trolls had the most to hide. These two were blank slates to the juggalo. She watched them discerningly and made her next plan of action.

Sarcel was pretty sure she was going to die. In fact, she might already be dead. Alifax's shrug gave her little to no solace. What he murmured through the door next didn't do much either. She resisted the urge to reach out and grab the knob when Alifax began to open the door, but fear kept her paralyzed.

Of course, there was Tamiya, eyes searing into the very core of her being. No, she wasn't dead yet, because this experience was so entirely tangible that only someone mortal, someone who could still experience the act of death, someone living and ready for repentance could only experience this sort of borderline humiliation. Her un-gloved hand wiped the coughed caused tear from her face.

Alifax meanwhile was a monolith, collected as he walked out. Tamiya's words made her flinch, eyes squeezing shut. She had to give Tamiya credit however; despite the fact that Sarcel could only really understand half of what she was saying, it still made her feel ashamed. That took real talent.

"M-M-Miss A-Aiguma... m-my apologies..." she stuttered anxiously, legs stiff as she found the gumption to take a few steps and remove herself from the ablution block. "W-We were j-just..."

She shook her head. It wasn't good to say anything even more incriminating. Standing next to Alifax, she couldn't look at him. Somehow despite how unreasonable it all was, she still felt responsible for the situation. Coupled with the anxiety of losing her ability, she was one step away from a total conniption. Funny how she loathed her invisibility at first; she had come to rely on it a little too much, it seemed. Now she'd learn that price and consequence.

Hazmas shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his tongue refusing to work.

"Uhh, sort of," he stammered and huffed, a slight yellow green blush entering his cheeks as he tried to shake off his nerves and her compliment. What did he need to be worried about? He and she had been on the same team - both questioning the bespectacled adult's integrity. Unlike Kursha, the pair of them had been on the same page and openly demanded Gerard's reconciling of the rumor, though his own suggestions had been both minor and extreme. However, of the two of them Chiara had been the bravest. She'd stood her ground and took responsibility for what had been claimed.

The young green blood took a breath and looked her in the eye.

"Chiara, you're about the bravest troll I've ever seen. I don't know anyone who would've done what you did tonight, standing up and taking responsibility for that redblood. And..." He paused, trying to figure out if the words he wanted to say were really what he wanted to say. "If... you need anything.. Just let me know alright?"

The greenblood gave her a nervous smile. This was definitely a first for him. He'd never given an open-ended offer before and there was always the chance it might be misused. But after seeing how Chiara had taken responsibility for her red-blooded lackey, Hazmas wasn't sure she wouldn't do the same for him.
