Suddenly, multiple shadows were upon him, and while Na'ima was busy fending off her assailant, Wrath was going into an all out frenzy with his, slamming his hammer into the face of anything and everything that came close while letting out incredibly loud battle cries with each.
When he was finished, and breathing quite a bit heavier, he continued on. "I am only bleeding a little."
And probably had a few broken ribs. No big deal.
It was at that moment, when he shifted his gaze back to her, his eyes dropping to the new wound on her arm, that he noticed something.
He was suddenly staring at that particular something very hard.
"What.......?" He looked up at her face, his anger suddenly diminishing as an incredibly confused look overcame his features. That mark. That mark was exactly the same as his own. She had it, and she hadn't mentioned it before? Why?
This was probably the worst time for him to feel hurt, especially by somebody who he barely knew (or maybe not barely, but he could not remember), but he did, anyways. He felt hurt by the fact that she hadn't told him ,back when she had accompanied him to the infirmary and had questioned him so heavily on his own.

After another knight killed the monster that Shayne missed; he keep pressing on as he kept feeling the enemy forces. "How many are there?" He asked as he kept screeching for Camilla. Out of the blue, Shayne heard a deadly screech behind him. He loaded another bolt into his crossbow, then turn and fired it at the enemy that was attacking from above. "I-I think I know what Camilla meant by the thrill of battling." Shayne told himself as his heart was racing now.

The young man finally decided to try something different. Pulling his arms back to his side, each placed on a different part of his spear, he would wait till the monster got just close enough. And before it was able to reach him Haze would drag one end of his weapon against the ground, the metal against concreate causing sparks, blinding the enemey. He used this chance to take another stab at his opponent, finally causing some damage.

Shayne is really shock that he killed two enemies off the bat. However, he still felt his heart is pounding heavily. The feeling of damage and fear still rushing inside him. After all, he might not get so lucky if he missed one of those monster again. "What if one of those things got her?" Shayne asked himself as he loaded his crossbow with about bolt. Without a warning another enemy jumped right in front of him. Which made him fired his crossbow at it and hit the monster die on once more.

While he had a high opinion of the katana as a weapon in general, Johan couldn't help but wish that he had one of the true Knight's weapons. With his mortal steel, he could only wound the Shadowlings and drive them back with the threat of pain. If they felt pain... The Great Knights' weapons. You could see how the Shadowlings feared those.

His last tactic seemed to work, keeping on his toes he would haunch back preparing for the next assault. Breathing steadily for a moment he could hear the screams and yells of the others that were fighting. Even if they gave it their all he witnessed large amounts of blood still splatter against the pavement. This was war. This is what it was like to be in utter chaos. There was no going back now though, no matter how much he wanted to fall back. Something kept him there, and empowered him to continue on. His will to protect others and gain as much knowledge as he could in order to prevent any other calamity from happening overwhelmed him. And so letting out a loud heated yell he slashed his spear out in front of him. Digging the sharp tip against another one of the shadow creatures. Hearing its seething screech as he twisted his weapon against the creature's wound. Pulling back to let it fall to the ground.

Johan had to be careful as he moved through the Courtyard. More than once, he'd been about to strike before he realized that it was another Knight Apprentice. The Shadowlings were still swarming, making the already darkened area a confusing morass of shadow upon shadow. It was still unsettling to think that this pitch black was how the world was supposed to look.

Johan's katana flickered through the shadows, slicing incorporeal flesh, pushing back monsters in front of him only to have them close in behind him. The wounds were beginning to add up. With the majority of his body bruised or scratched in some manner, Johan decided it was time to seek medical help. He pressed his attack, moving his little bubble amidst the enemies towards the exit. With one last parting slash to his pursuers, he slipped (well, more like limped) away.

Shayne started to have doubts as if this was really the right thing to do. "No Shayne! Stop it right now! If Camilla is in trouble! No! If anyone is in trouble you need to help them." He told himself as pressed on. After a while, he saw a Ballista. "If I used that thing. I could kill more of those monsters!" He said with cheerful tone of voice. After he loaded the Ballista up, Shayne yelled "Fire!" as he shot it. However, the impact wasn't too kind for him. "That's hurt a bit." he told himself as getting up off the ground.

This was where she needed to be, or at least it was the place she felt the most useful. Amy charged forward with her scythe raised, slicing one of the creatures across its belly, thinking she dodged that stray swipe in time, only to see that she received some gashes along the back of her leg. Great, at least it wasn't anything too serious or she'd have to go to the healers. She was just getting started~

She's usually pretty crass and vocal when the situation calls for it, otherwise she will appear to be everything a proper lady should be. Feeling empowered by his last attack that landed Haze started to feel his movements flow more. Fending off the creatures that dared to oppose them as best he could the white haired knight lash out his spear. Aiming a weak spot in one of the creatures that lunged at him, stabbing its side while it reached out and attempted to rake its claws against the young man. He would take the hit, letting it struggle deeper into his spear before pulling harshly back. The hair on the back of his neck stood up as he felt his spear hit something behind him. Swiveling his head quickly he noticed the tip of his weapon had pierced right through another shadowling that had tried to sneak up on him. If he hadn't pulled back when he did, he could have very well ended up.. dead.
