Kiru nodded at the other two. "I'm not sure she's going to react." The pikachu nearly got his tail bitten that time. "..p-please move don't want to be here!" River whimpered already tearing up and pushing at her trainer she pawed at her bandaged arm. October twitched and slowly backed away towards Nyomii and Aria. She felt sick and her body felt heavy. Focusing again she noticed the snake pokemon closer and rushed to get back quicker barely breathing normally. The Ekans lashed out at them at the sudden movement but before it could make contact Kiru tackled it away. The pikachu felt the poison types fang graze his back leg. He wasted no time in rushing back to October and sparked angrily as the Ekans slithered away.

Huey began to dig around in his bag, rifling through it in an attempt to retrieve a few potions to heal Beep. With his eyes lowered, he missed the appearance of yet another Slowpoke, though its arrival didn't escape Beep who bleated happily before producing a small shock of electricity that stopped the advancing creature in its track. "Mare~" he chirruped and looked up at Huey for recognition of his heroics. Unfortunately for him it took a few more seconds before the blonde popped his head up, triumphant in his search. "Here you go." he introduced a few bottles and after allowing the sheep to inspect them he began to spray his wounds.

Still a bit miffed that Huey had missed his battle, Beep was determined to find another evildoer, and there'd be nothing to prevent his trainer from seeing it. He hopped over to a few nearby bushes and gave a call that went unanswered, prompting him to hop over towards the side of a nearby building and peer around the corner. While he did this, Huey was once again checking in his bag, this time drawing out an odd piece of candy. It wasn't apart of his stash, that was for sure, and upon further inspection realized it wasn't actually a confection meant for human consumption. "Here you go, Ty." the crinkling of wrapper instantly drew the Kirlia's attention and he bounded over, immediately interested.
Beep's search ended once he found himself face to face with a Rattata, its whiskers twitching in alertness. He bleated, gaining the rat's attention, and hit it with a hardened tail the second it turned its head to look at him. The Mareep trotted back to Huey, positive that he'd seen this battle only to nearly fall over from shock when he found him feeding Tybalt a candy. "Mareep!"

Natalia nodded to Nurse Joy appreciatively when she mentioned she would let them know when their pokemon were ready to be picked up. "Thank you." She said quietly, turning her attention to Thalia as she picked the Sylveon up and cuddled her in her arms, smiling a bit finally as she felt the fairy type reciprocate. Thalia happily murmured "Fey" as she usually did upon greeting Natalia, however the Sylveon looked thoughtful for a moment before finally testing out calling her Natalia instead. It occurred to the brunette that Thalia had witness the same events Aiden had, so of course now she would know her real name. Oddly enough it didn't much bother Natalia to be called her real name by the Sylveon, but.... Natalia gave the Sylveon a small, sad smile. "That's your name now, not mine...." Natalia said softly, rubbing the Sylveon's ears. She had long since passed the name on, stubbornly sticking to her alias. Natalia was a name for another time long ago, back when things were much better. She'd changed so much now that it was hard to really call herself Natalia Jones anymore....
Natalia felt eyes on her, and looked up to find Aiden giving her a small smile, one that she attempted to return, though it probably looked more like a simper than anything else. However, he tried to redirect them to the cafeteria, suggesting they get something to eat like she had said earlier. "Yeah, that's probably--" Natalia started, only to cringe as none other than Giovanni Versechi threw his arms around her shoulders, as well as Aiden's, and made a somewhat snarky greeting by commenting "look what the Delcatty dragged in" when referring to the two of them, though it was obviously in good humor. Natalia couldn't help but grin. "Speak for yourself, Purugly breath." Natalia teased, wrinkling her nose with a smirk. Gio was kind of person Natalia was used to, he was like a nicer version of Jet, a friendly rival of sorts, someone she could actually get along with. His presence was certainly welcome, bringing a breath of fresh air into the apprehensive atmosphere between herself and Aiden. Though, of course this meant she couldn't talk privately with Aiden about the events from earlier, and she hoped that he wouldn't try to bring it up with Gio around. Natalia cast a momentary glance to Aiden with light concern, but she quickly turned her attention back to Gio as he mentioned having expected that they'd be halfway gone to Goldenrod by now.
Natalia gave a light shrug. "Who knows, we might've been, but got somewhat held up at the exit of Union cave by some weirdo in a mask who called himself King. Wouldn't let us pass unless we beat him in a battle or something." Natalia huffed, still a little peeved by the whole ordeal since it seemed that every force in the entire Pokeverse was destined to keep her from getting to Azalea in any decent amount of time. Gio also mentioned however that he'd already gone and beaten Bugsy, which honestly stunned Natalia, since Gio couldn't have passed them in Union Cave, which meant between the time it had taken for Natalia to escape Isis, beat down Jet, and head to the pokemon center, Gio had made his way to Azalea, challenged and beaten Bugsy, and then met up with them now. "Seriously?!" Natalia gawked while Aiden explained that Gio was now a step ahead of them, since he and Natalia had yet to battle Bugsy and had been thinking of doing some training beforehand. "Yeah but... If Gio beat Bugsy that quickly, maybe I don't need to train after all...." Natalia mused thoughtfully. Then again, she had no doubts Blaze could probably blow through those bug pokemon like they were a stack of cards, but in truth she wanted to train up the rest of her newly acquired team and have an excuse to sneak out to Ilex forest alone to snoop out that Void hideout that Jet mentioned.
Natalia noticed that Gio's Lucario seemed to be looking around curiously, and briefly wondered what he was looking for until Aiden mentioned that Aria and Nyomii were off investigating something, then it became clear. Natalia nodded to reaffirm this fact, before looking back to Gio as Aiden asked if he'd caught a glimpse of October anywhere, wondering how the girl was doing ever since she'd fought Falkner in Violet City. Natalia hoped the girl had won and wasn't stuck in Violet City still, knowing October's self confidence (or lack thereof) it would be a crushing blow. "October is with us. She is the source of the scream Aria heard. Don't panic, she's fine, just a rather unusually aggressive Ekans that scared the poor girl out of her wits. It's dealt with now though, and we'll likely be headed your way soon." Nyomii's voice reported in Natalia's head. The brunette looked concerned for a moment. Unusually aggressive Ekans? It could just be mere coincidence, but then again it was still possible that.....
Natalia's resolve to investigate Ilex Forest tonight only grew stronger. So help her, she would kick all of their butts out of the temporary station and burn it to the ground single handedly. "October's here, according to Nyomii. She was the scream we heard earlier, but she's fine, just an acute fear of Ekans I suppose." Natalia still frowned briefly before giving a light sigh and setting Thalia down, beginning to make her way towards the cafeteria. "But anyways.... Food, yes. I don't know about you two, but I'm starving." She insisted, stretching to relieve the tension in her limbs as she folded her hands behind her head and moved into the dining area of the center, letting out her pokemon one by one.
Blaze was released first, and immediately grinned at the sight of food. "Aw yeah! Chow time!" She licked her lips and immediately began scouring the buffet laid out before her. Meanwhile Terra settled herself on Natalia's shoulder, curiously eyeing what the girl was putting on her plate. Cynthia eyed the salad bar, filling up a bowl of leafy greens and carrots for herself. Titan found that the area was a bit of a tight fit for him, leaning down so that he didn't break the ceiling with his giant head and defeatedly sat in a corner, hoping maybe someone else could get something for him. Ishmael thankfully noticed and grabbed a bag of pokefood for the gentle giant, bringing it over for them to share while Nikolai watched the group scramble rather than try to eat anything. He would not stoop so low as to interact with the common rabble. Caliope however, was still perched on Kaizer's back, humming away happily, completely oblivious to the dragons growing irritation with her constant singing. She was content to wait with Kaizer until he followed Aiden into the cafeteria, happy to have a new friend with her, and so of course she wanted to eat with him too. Plazma, Wisp, and Reaper, Natalia kept inside their pokeballs. being ghosts they didn't really have to eat, and not to mention Plazma would just cause trouble or go and short circuit the whole center, something they really didn't need right now. Flora sort of forced her way around the crowd to the pokemon food to quickly shovel herself a bowl and get out so it wasn't so stuffy and congested in her personal space. Kyurem.... Well.... Natalia looked at the pokeball and quickly put it away. She would have to deal with the dragon at some point or another. Perhaps she could sneak away after she had eaten with some bags of pokefood to satisfy the great ice dragon's colossal appetite. Belle on the other hand, stuck rather close to Natalia, seeming shy and afraid to interact with any of her new teammates, so Natalia took pity on the sheep pokemon and got her a bowl of leafy greens as well before sitting down and setting the bowl on the floor nearby her table. The Mareep sniffed the bowl lightly before carefully nibbling at the food she was offered, deeming it eatable and happily munching away soon after. With that settled, Natalia then looked at her last pokeball, Jade's in fact. Natalia would wait for Aiden before letting her out.
Nyomii in the meantime, was relieved the Ekans had finally left their group alone. She'd been preparing to ward off any attacks to October with a psychic barrier, but Kiru had managed on his own, and now things had finally seemed to calm down, so Nyomii took the liberty of informing her trainer of the new update before returning to the matter at hand. "Okay dearie, the Ekans is gone now, come along, no need to be afraid~ Let's take some nice, deep breaths hm? Just put one foot in front of the other, and then we'll be at the Pokemon Center before you know it. Gio, Aiden, and Fey are all there. You want to se your friends don't you?" Nyomii tried to persuade the girl, even though Kiru seemed certain October wouldn't react. Perhaps with the Ekans threat gone now, the girl would relax and start tuning in to her voice or Aria's. "If nothing else, you shoulld probably have Kiru checked on by Nurse Joy, just to make sure he's all healed up from fending off that nasty Ekans right?" Nyomii suggested gently, silently praying to Arceus that the girl was still with them and wasn't in complete shock.

Giovanni attempted to pretended he hadn't heard Fey comment back. He turned his attention to Aiden and then back to Fey. "Well it was all thanks to Lucario. Being resistant to eight types and immune to a whole one means he doesnt give or take the occasional fighting or ground type." Giovanni said as he started to get a big head thinking that it bothered Fey a little he was ahead of the pair. "Then again Steel type Pokemon are hard to deal with" it was simple banter but it was a belief that Gio held dear to his heart.
The conversation turned to October just the same time he was wondering about her. "You know Aiden, I havent." Giovanni stated as his stomach growled "She left Violet before I did. Needless to say I slept a little to long so I got here just before sundown." just then Fey confirmed that she was still in Azalea which to Gio meant he was probably ahead of all three of them.
At the mention of Food both Giovanni and Lucario perked up. They were famished and Gio could only imagine his other Pokemon. When they reached the cafeteria Giovanni and Lucario both in typical fashion loaded up there plates beyond being able to see the bottom anymore. Lucario began eating and could have easily been confused as a pig instead of a fox type. Gio on the other hand Grabbed his Totodile, Metang, Pawniard and Skarmory's Balls and let them out. "Mkay guys, lets eat and then maybe we will go train." Giovanni said with a kind smile before digging into his food the same way as his Lucario was.

✦ ✦Aiden gave an appreciative nod to Nurse Joy as she told them she would let them know when their Pokemon would be ready to pick up. ” Thank you, Nurse Joy,” he said gratefully, turning around to face Natalia as she held Thalia in her arms. The Sylveon happily reciprocated the cuddling gesture as she wrapped her feelers around the girl’s neck and nuzzled against her, saying her name as she always did. However, a thought dawned on the Sylveon as she recalled the events from before, and spoke Natalia’s real name to test it out. It felt rather strange to Thalia, since she had called the girl by ‘Fey’ for so long that… calling her by her actual name just felt foreign and odd… The Sylveon looked towards Natalia, noticing the small, sad smile on the girl’s face as she rubbed her ears and said that it was her name now. Thalia blinked slightly in surprise, a bit confused by what the girl had meant by that. It was clear that Natalia was intent on sticking to her persona of Fey Marquee, and the confusion on the Sylveon’s face soon melted away into a small smile as she nodded in understanding, closing her eyes as she leaned into Natalia’s hand. Aiden gave Natalia a small smile as she looked to him again, attempting to return it herself even though it didn’t quite look like a smile as much as it did a simper. Breaking the ice that had been lingering around them for the past several minutes, Aiden suggested that they head onwards to the cafeteria to grab something to eat before they did anything else. Natalia spoke up, starting to say that they should probably go ahead and do that, when seemingly on cue Gio showed up. The grey-haired boy threw his arms around them as he greeted them in a very Gio-esque manner by saying ‘look what the Delcatty dragged in’. Chuckling at the remark, Aiden happily greeted their companion as Natalia teasingly reciprocated with a witty quip back at the boy, calling him ‘Purugly breath’ as she made a show of wrinkling her nose. He had wondered when Gio would have caught up with them, and the boy certainly provided a welcome distraction from the tense atmosphere that had developed between Aiden and Natalia. On the other hand, it also meant that the two of them wouldn’t be able to talk among each other privately like they had planned to, at least not now… He caught the concerned glance that Natalia was directing towards him, and gave a small smile and a nod in return to convey the silent message of ‘don’t worry about it’. The last thing they needed was to bring Gio into the middle of all of this, and Aiden felt that it would be for the better to just keep it as hush-hush as possible. He turned his attention back towards Gio, who mentioned that he had expected them to be over in Goldenrod by now. Natalia said that they could have very well been, if it hadn’t been for the inconvenient hold-up back in Union Cave when King had blocked their way and wouldn’t let them pass until they battled him. She still sounded pretty miffed about the whole ordeal, and he really couldn’t blame her for it either. ” Well, maybe we won’t have to deal with him again… Though I’d imagine he’d be a bit ticked off that we had to end our battle rather prematurely,” Aiden suggested with a nod, wondering where exactly King was now after they had run off, ” We’ll be well prepared for him if he’s still intent on battling us again, though~” He was probably still in Union Cave for that matter, but if the man decided to try to come after them, they would surely be more prepared for him the next time around. Of course, they hadn’t exactly expected to run into Isis either, though the girl was probably all the way back in Hoenn by now… Gio then mentioned that he had already gone on and beaten Bugsy already, shocking both Aiden and Natalia as they gawked at their grey-haired companion. So, in the span of time that they had encountered Isis, had a run-in with that Void grunt, and gone to the Center, Gio had arrived in Azalea and beat down Bugsy while all of that had been happening. Aiden had to admit, that was pretty quick, though considering how strong Gio’s Lucario was, it was really no surprise that he had beaten Bugsy so quickly. Natalia said that if Gio had beaten Bugsy already, then perhaps she didn’t have to train after all. Aiden gave a chuckle and a nod, maybe his team would be mostly prepared enough for them to go up against Bugsy soon enough. Although, it would likely be a worthwhile effort to train up some of the other members of his team so that they had a solid team lineup for the fight. Gio said that it had been with Lucario’s help that he won the badge so easily, since Steel-types had so many resistances and had the bonus of being immune to poison. ” Heh, they certainly are~ Just wait until we get to Jasmine’s Gym in Olivine, I’m sure she’d like to see just how much her apprentice has progressed,” Aiden said with a grin as he lightly nudged Gio with an elbow. He noticed that Lucario seemed to be looking around for something, apparently having noticed that a few of their company were missing. The blonde-haired boy said that Aria and Nyomii had gone off to investigate the scream that they’d heard earlier, catching a glimpse of Natalia nodding in affirmation out of his peripheral vision. Although… that still begged the question of where October was… She had been back in Violet City last he remembered, and had likely been looking to take on Falkner herself before they had left. Hopefully the girl was doing alright, Aiden was sure that she could take care of herself, but at the same time… When he asked Gio if he had seen any sign of their missing companion on his way here, the grey-haired boy said that he didn’t see her at all. October had actually left Violet City before Gio had, though he admitted that he had slept a bit too long and had rushed to get here before sundown. Which meant that October was surely not all that far behind… ” October’s here in Azalea, it was her scream that I had heard earlier. It’s nothing serious, however, it was only a rather aggressive Ekans that had spooked her quite badly. The situation is well under control, so there’s nothing to worry about. We’ll be coming over to join you and the rest here soon,”came the voice of Aria in Aiden’s head, giving him the long and the short of what had happened after she and Nyomii had run off towards the source of the scream. Maybe it would be worth checking out that Void hideout in Ilex after all, if the implications of the Ekans attack was anything to go by… But Aiden was nonetheless glad that October was in Azalea with them, and had more or less survived the ordeal unharmed. Natalia let them know that Nyomii had told her what had gone down as well, assuring that the girl was just fine and that it was only an acute fear of Ekans. ” Well, that’s good, as long as she didn’t get bitten or anything too serious,” Aiden agreed with a nod, turning towards Natalia once more. Setting Thalia down, she suggested that they head over to the cafeteria to eat, saying that she was starving. Aiden gladly followed along with her, feeling quite a bit peckish himself considering that Pocky was the only thing he remembered eating last. As they entered the dining hall, Aiden began to let out the rest of his team one by one as Natalia and Gio did the same with their Pokemon. ” Come on out, guys, it’s time to eat!” he declared cheerfully with a grin, watching each of his Pokemon as they appeared.” About time,”Samoa remarked as his eyes settled on a thick, juicy-looking cut of meat as Aiden fixed up a plate. The blonde-haired boy chuckled softly, picking up the steak and putting it on a separate plate for the Croconaw. ” Here you go, Sammy,” he said with a chuckle, handing the plate to the little crocodile Pokemon, who accepted it and wasted no time in digging into his food. ” Whew… feels like I slept for eons, grub sounds really good right about now,”Evelynn piped up, the oddly colored Zorua shaking her fur as she picked up a good-sized bag of Pokefood in her jaws,” I could practically eat a whole Hippowdon!”Despite her small size, Evelynn had quite the appetite on her as most often came to know rather quickly. Annabelle hummed a happy little tune to herself as she watched her teammates get their pickings, the seemingly perpetual smile never leaving her face. Being a Ghost-type herself, she had no real need for any kind of sustenance, though she gladly helped herself to some berries to snack on in the meantime.” Well hey there again~ I picked up some berries to eat, wanna share them with me?”asked the Gengar cheerfully as she came to settle by Thalia, holding out the armful of berries she had gathered in offering to the Sylveon. Annabelle still felt really bad for what she had done earlier, and wanted to make up for it however she could, the Gengar momentarily casting a cautionary glance at Natalia. Thalia seemed hesitant at first, still a bit apprehensive about Annabelle after what she pulled back in Union Cave. However, the Gengar seemed pretty sincere in her offer, and the Sylveon couldn’t help but hungrily eye the berries that the Ghost-type clutched in her arms. Nodding and giving Annabelle a small, shy smile, Thalia moved over to sit down in a spot near Aiden, the Gengar sitting next to her as they shared the small stash between themselves. Aiden stacked a few more slabs of meat on another plate for Kaizer, setting it down so that the dragon would be able to reach it easily. The Salamence gratefully nodded towards the boy, moving over to tuck into his meal while Calliope remained on his back, humming away happily as always. Arceus… he felt as though he just might go off the deep end if he had to listen to this incessant humming for another minute! He was trying his best to keep himself calm and maintain his composure, but it was becoming a continually uphill battle as it wore on. Gritting his teeth, a low growl emanated from the depths of Kaizer’s chest, hinting at his steadily growing annoyance as he ate his meal. Aiden glanced around, nodding as he saw that each of his Pokemon had now gotten settled and were happily eating their own meals. The only two that were missing now out of his current roster were Daguerro and Aria… Aiden reached over and picked up a bag of Pokefood for the Jolteon, feeling that he would give Dag his own food once he was healed up and ready to be taken back. Moving over to sit down with Natalia and Gio, the blonde-haired boy gave the girl a small smile as he nodded towards her. ” We’ll talk later, okay?” he said quietly, feeling that there would come another opportunity for them to talk in private sooner or later. In the meantime, his eyes wandered curiously towards the last Pokeball that Natalia was holding, seeing that she had sent out all of her Pokemon with the exception of Kyurem and the odd green puppy Pokemon she had acquired earlier. Of course, she probably wouldn’t let out Kyurem in here, so that just left the strange new Pokemon she had gotten. ” Hey Fey… what exactly was that strange-looking Pokemon you got earlier?” he inquired as he looked between her and the Pokeball, curious as to if it was some sort of new species of Pokemon that he had never seen or heard of before. While all of that was going on, Aria and Nyomii had arrived to the scene that was unfolding in front of them. It appeared that the cause of October’s scream had been an Ekans that had crossed her path, though something about the way the snake Pokemon was behaving seemed… off… Kiru was trying to ward it away from October and keep its attention on him, while Aria and Nyomii coaxed October to get moving and come towards them. Knowing how scared the girl was, she might not even be able to move at all, and River was desperate to try to get away from the danger as she pawed at October’s arm. Slowly but surely, the girl started to take slow, steady steps towards the two Psychic-types as Aria cautioned here, the Delphox moving closer towards her as well. However, October momentarily took a few hasty steps back to put as much distance between herself and the Ekans as possible, the sudden movement causing the snake to lash out. Aria grit her teeth a bit, and prepared to use her powers to put up a barrier around the girl to protect her from the Poison-type’s attack. Thankfully, Kiru smacked it away before it could hit October, the Ekans’ fangs grazing the Pikachu’s leg as he rushed back to his trainer. Finally, the Ekans slithered away, leaving the company more or less unharmed as Aria and Nyomii got closer to October and her team. After sending Aiden a report on the situation, the Delphox turned her attention towards October as she gave the girl a small smile.” Seems a certain someone has a bit of ophidiophobia… But the Ekans is gone now, sweetie, it won’t be bothering us anymore,”she soothed gently, pitching in with Nyomii to help October relax. Hopefully she would start calming down once she noticed the Ekans was gone, though Kiru had said something earlier that the girl probably wouldn’t react.” Just take some nice, deep breaths… In and out… In and out… We’ll come with you to the Pokemon Center, okay dearie? Aiden, Fey, and Gio are all there waiting for you~ I’m certain they’ll be elated to see you again safe and sound,”she added with a warm smile, reaching out and gently placing a hand on October’s shoulder in a comforting gesture. She nodded at Nyomii’s suggestion that she get Kiru looked at by Nurse Joy as soon as they got to the Pokemon Center, though hopefully the Pikachu hadn’t gotten poisoned from that Ekans’ attack even though that could be easily healed in a jiff.” Indeed, it would be a good idea to get him checked up, dearie, it was mighty brave of him to fend off that snake to keep you safe~”she pitched in, hoping that October was still able to hear them and that she wasn’t still in absolute shock from the encounter with the Ekans. Aria’s eyes drifted towards River, feeling that she should check up on the little dear as well. The poor Riolu looked like she had been ready to burst into tears, she had been so frightened…” Are you alright, sweetie? You’re not hurt, are you?”the Delphox inquired softly, bending down a little as she offered her other hand towards River. It didn’t look like the Riolu had any visible wounds on her, but Aria felt the need to check and make sure that everyone was fine for the most part. It was what any nurse and mother figure would do in her position, after all.✦ ✦

October gasped for breath hands on her head. She stood up shaking and gave the two pokemon a nodded aquiet thank you not meeting their gaze. "..Kiru.."The pikachu jumped onto her shoulder. The girl sniffled softly wiping the rest of her tears away and continued to the center without a word. River was happy to see the two familiar faces, however, she was still a little shaken herself but luckily not hurt."..I'm ok" Kiru nuzzles Octobers cheek as she walks to the center.

Now this was getting ridiculous! Beep gave an exasperated cry as he hopped over to Huey to headbutt his shin in moping protest. T-twice in a row!? If he weren't the Great Mareep, Beep might've been tempted to slump into a downward spiral, but luckily that was not the case. He was the Great Mareep, and a superhero didn't allow himself to get down just because he didn't have an eyewitness to his valiant deeds. With his forehead still pressed to Huey's legs he inhaled deeply and finally lifted his head, his eyes narrowed with steely determination. "Mar! Mar!" waggled his tail, urging the boy to follow, and once he'd gotten his attention lead him on a hunt for one last pokemon.
And there it was: riding on the stray breeze that blew by a Hoppip floated into sight, unaware of the sheep hopping towards it and the fate that awaited it. The poor grass-type was blindsided by a hardened tail to the face and with a soft cry it flopped onto the ground, its body too heavy to be supported by the breeze. "Oh, uhm..." Huey looked from the eager face of Beep's face to the unconscious Hoppip that had fallen on its head, a leg twitching at random. "Good job, Beep." that recognition was all the sheep needed and with an ecstatic baa rubbed up against his trainer, sending a few mild shocks through his body. "!!!" he hopped back, jittery fingers patting at his legs. "Ahahaha..." he gave a nervous laugh, and once his body was free of electricity he sent a sorrowful look to the Hoppip, he felt bad for it, enough so that he threw a pokeball at it; catching it with ease.

Natalia was glad the Sylveon in her arms seemed to understand the message she was trying to convey, giving a small nod of understanding and rubbing her head into her hand. As Aiden attempted to bring up the idea of getting food once again, Gio came in to break the ice for them, treating them both in the same buddy buddy manner he always had, as if he was completely oblivious to the tension that had been in the air not too long ago. Gio wasn't always very observant in that regard, but he was still a welcome presence, even if it meant Natalia and Aiden couldn't discuss a few matters alone like Aiden had seemed keen on doing. Natalia shot Aiden a concerned look, but then wasn't really sure whether to feel comforted or concerned by his reassuring smile and nod. He clearly had every intention of talking this new situation out alone at some point, but Natalia was still concerned about talking at all really, though she still appreciated the gesture nonetheless. Their attention soon turned back to Gio, who seemed surprised they weren't already halfway headed towards Goldenrod City by now, at least until Natalia mentioned the roadblocks they'd had to deal with. Aiden mentioned that King was probably not happy with them skipping out on their battle, though suggesting that they would be prepared if he was still intent on battling them. "I'm almost positive we'll see him again at some point, if for no other reason than for a rematch for the battle we ran out on..." Natalia sighed, however her irritation with King soon morphed into envy towards Gio for having just gotten here and already beaten Bugsy, but what was worse, was that Gio seemed to take notice of that envy and began to brag a bit about his steel types, Lucario in particular since he'd won the gym match. "Hmph. Yeah well bug types naturally have a lot of weaknesses anyways, so I'm not surprised you crushed them, steel types or not." Natalia shrugged, getting a bit passively defensive with her comments. "I mean, Aiden and I could totally go in there and beat Bugsy too, we just weren't in any hurry, and plus I have other pokemon that I wanted to train with that I only just got, not the ones that are strong enough to take on Bugsy now." Natalia was rambling, trying to redeem herself somehow in Gio's eyes, since she could have gotten Bugsy's badge, had it easily in the bag by now, she was just.... Distracted by her situation with Aiden, and her encounter with Isis too. Aiden however, was more than relaxed about it all, praising Gio and suggesting that when they finally got to Olivine, Jasmine would likely be impressed by her apprentice's progress. Natalia huffed. "Careful Aiden, inflate his ego too much and there won't be room for the two of us anymore." She suggested somewhat haughtily.
The subject at hand soon turned to October, and with Gio's mention that October had left Violet before him, and the telepathic news from both Aria and Nyomii, it was soon confirmed that October was indeed here. Though there had been potential danger, the girl was thankfully safe now and headed their way. With that confirmed, Natalia was ready to head towards the cafeteria finally, fairly famished at this point. It didn't take long for Aiden and Gio to follow suit, both quite interested in the idea of food, both entering the cafeteria with her and letting out their pokemon as well. Natalia had picked a booth and sat down with her own plate, feeding a few berries to Terra in between bites. She'd eyed Aiden's new Gengar as the ghost gathered up several berries and brought them over to Thalia to try and reforge her relationship with the Sylveon before casting a quick glance Natalia's way. The brunette gave a slow, apprving nod, but her expression remained cautious, as if she would continue to keep an eye on the Gengar.
Calliope, now caught up with everyone, hummed happily as Kaizer got his steak and gave a short growl as he began to eat. Calliope chuckled a bit at that. "Heehee~ Was that your stomach? Goodness, you must be famished!" She laughed and fluttered off of his back to gather herself up some berries for herself to eat, landing next to Kaizer once she had gotten herself something to eat. That left just about all of their pokemon taken care of, though Natalia had purposefully kept Kyurem in it's pokeball, promising herself to save a great deal of steak for it later, however there was still one other pokemon Natalia had kept away from the crowd, and Aiden, miraculously perceptive as ever, seemed to notice. It still amazed Natalia sometimes how the boy could be so oblivious in some respects, but see right to the heart of something in another. This time however, Natalia didn't mind when Aiden asked about the puppy pokemon he'd seen her interacting with earlier. "Ah.... You know, I'm glad you asked~" Natalia gave a small smile, picking out Jade's pokeball and looking at it for a moment before letting the changeling pokemon out onto the table.
Jade looked expectantly at Natalia, though there was still a sharp edge to her stare and a tension in her body. Her gaze looked rather disapprovingly at Gio and Aiden, uncomfortable being near so many humans at once. "Hey missy, are you hungry?" Natalia asked, offering up some berries. "I have a name you know." The dragon replied haughtily, turning up her nose at the berries. Natalia repressed a sigh. "Sorry, what's your name....?" Natalia asked curiously. "My name is Jade." Natalia nodded. "I see. Jade, this is Gio, and that, is Aiden." She directed the changeling pokemon's attention to the blonde across from her. "Aiden is the one I wanted you to meet..." Natalia said quietly. Jade looked Aiden over with a cursory glance. "And what of the hatted boy? You made no mention of him." Jade asked. "Well, to be honest, I didn't know he would be meeting us here..." Natalia tugged a strand of her hair, anxiously twirling it around her fingers. "You evade my point, and seem to have a knack for it, but no matter. I will judge them both myself, regardless of what you have to say." Jade hopped off of the table to go forage her own food, far more interested in all of the pokemon in the surrounding area that she could make friends with.
Natalia let out the sigh she'd been repressing. "Sorry... I hope she'll warm up to you both eventually. I have no plans to keep her unless she wants to stay with me. Honestly Aiden... I was hoping.... Maybe um.... You might be able to take her..." Natalia said quietly, averting her gaze.
Meanwhile, it seemed that Nyomii's and Aria's words had finally gotten through to October, at least enough to convince her to start heading towards the Pokemon Center, possibly for Kiru's sake, since October breathed the Pikachu's name before starting towards the center with them. With that thankfully settled, Aria and Nyomii turned their attention to River, who seemed quite shaken, but Aria asked to make sure the Riolu was alright, who quietly insisted that she was okay as they all walked towards the pokemon center. Are you quite sure dearie? No scratches? No poison? You aren't a steel type yet little one, so don't go thinking you're immune to these things okay? You can never be too careful." Nyomii insisted cautiously. They walked in through the front doors of the center and up to Nurse Joy's desk. "October, why don't you let Nurse Joy take a look at Kiru to make sure he's alright? Fey, Gio, and Aiden are all in the cafeteria now. Are you hungry? Even if you aren't, I'm sure they would all love to see you dear, they were quite worried about you." Nyomii insisted.
Meanwhile, in another room, Ezio lay on a small table, hooked up to a monitor, which had ben giving a slow, steady, beep to measure his pulse. The Absol stirred, his monitor beginning to pick up the pace as he awakened, his eyes opening to an unfamiliar room, and in his still semiconscious and delirious state, he jerked upright, pulling his monitor over by the wires. He slipped off of the table and fell to the floor scrambling back to his feet and swaying dangerously. "What've they done to me?!" He roared, staggering away from the table and pulling at the wires. "What manner of containment is this?! Do they take me for a newborn Deerling?!" He snarled, ripping off the wires and causing the monitor to beep in alarm. He had yet to take notice of the Jolteon in his room, still under the impression that he'd been taken and trapped in another testing room under Void supervision.

Lucario and Giovanni were stuffed. It seemed as if his other Pokemon had gotten their fair share as well. Giovanni's Skarmory on the other hand seemed to be trying to fight with his Pawniard whom still seemed to want to claw Gio's eyes out at any given time. The white Pawniard stood aiming high its icy blue eyes watching the Skarmory fly through the air above. Every couple of seconds the Skarmory would take a short dive down only to come back up because of a swipe the the Pawniard would take at it. "Ok you two stop fighting, we can go to the forest of thats what you want" he stated his he pulled out all of his Pokemons Pokeballs and returned his Pokemon, minus his Lucario of course.
Gio began to run towards the door. "I hate to cut our tryin short, but Im going training. I'll see you lot later tonight" he said with a wave as he left the cafeteria and no sooner was running out the front door of the Pokemon Center. She would wait a bit before going to see Gio, Fey and Aiden. No doubt they already knew she had panicked at an ekans, she felt a bit ashamed. "I'm fine, I want to go see big bro and show him how strong I am now"Kiru whined as he was set on the desk. River stared down at her paws keeping close to her trainer. ✦ ✦Aiden was more than glad when Gio showed up, greeting them in his usual casual manner and being completely oblivious to the tension in the air around them. It was probably for the better, though, Aiden certainly didn’t want to bring the boy in on something that he probably didn’t want to be in the middle of. Still, his presence was certainly a welcome change of pace, even though it meant that the blonde-haired boy would have to postpone talking with Natalia in private. He caught the concerned look Natalia was giving him out of the corner of his eye, and gave a reassuring smile and nod in response. They would talk later, surely there would be plenty more chances for them to be able to speak to each other in private. She still seemed pretty concerned, but appreciative of the gesture nonetheless. Their attention was brought back to Gio once again as they shared some small talk with each other, Aiden saying that King was likely none-too-pleased with him and Natalia for cutting their fight short. Of course, he had a feeling they would be much more prepared if the man was still intent on battling them, hopefully by then his Pokemon would be a bit more up to par to battle with King’s… Natalia sighed, still quite irritated by the inconvenience that the meddlesome man had provided them, saying that they would surely see him again if only for a rematch on the battle they had ended prematurely. When Gio then went on to announce that he had already beaten Bugsy, both Aiden and Natalia were quite shocked. Natalia was clearly envious that their grey-haired companion had wasted no time in getting his second badge, and Gio even went on to brag about his Steel-types and how he was able to win the battle with help from Lucario. The girl simply ‘hmphed’, pointing out that Bug-types had a lot of weaknesses anyways and that she wasn’t surprised that Gio had gone through Bugsy so easily. She went on to say that she and Aiden could beat Bugsy easily enough as well, listing off reasons like that they weren’t in any real hurry, and that they wanted to train some of their other Pokemon as well. Aiden couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as Natalia rambled, but nodded in agreement. He wasn’t usually the kind of person who would let a few Pokemon do all of the fighting in a Gym battle, even though he had only ended up using just Kaizer in his battle against Falkner. He was certain he could take on Bugsy now, but maybe it would be much more worthwhile to do some training first. Thalia was already pretty strong and was a welcome candidate, considering that she would do pretty well against Bugsy’s Bug-types… Nevertheless, Aiden praised Gio on his winnings and how Jasmine would likely be impressed by her apprentice’s progress when they got to Olivine. Natalia warned him to be careful, saying that if he inflated the boy’s ego too much, there wouldn’t be enough room left for the two of them. Aiden gave a sheepish smile in return, before the topic of conversation shifted over to the whereabouts of October. Last he recalled, she had been preparing to take on Falkner back in Violet City, and Gio mentioned that she had actually left before he had to come here. It was then that Nyomii and Aria reported back, letting them know that October was safe now despite having a run-in with an Ekans, and they were currently heading back. Feeling relieved that their missing companion was safe and sound, Aiden was glad to follow Natalia and Gio to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat. Once there, they fixed up their own meals to eat, letting out their Pokemon to join in as well. Annabelle gathered up some berries and brought them over to Thalia, offering to share them in hopes of making up for the rocky start they had back in Union Cave. The Gengar cast a cautionary glance towards Natalia, noting the approving nod the girl was giving her as well as the caution in her expression. She couldn’t really blame the girl that much, though, it would take a lot more than just this to soften up Natalia’s opinion of the Ghost-type. Either way, Thalia gladly accepted Annabelle’s offer, the two of them sitting next to each other as they shared the berries among one another. Kaizer felt a bit more pleased when he was presented with his meal of steak to eat, but Calliope’s humming kept cutting into his mind once again. Dear Arceus, he was about to lose his mind… Trying to keep himself calm, the Salamence took a deep breath to try to dispel some of the pent-up annoyance he was accumulating. But instead he ended up letting out a growl of frustration, his attempts to keep his composure was proving to be an uphill battle in every sense of the phrase… He heard Calliope giggle, asking if the growl she’d heard was his stomach and that he must be pretty hungry. Her weight lifted up from his back as she fluttered off to fetch her own food, before coming back around and landing next to him with her meal.” I’m just feeling a bit peckish, that’s all,”the Salamence growled, his irritation clear in every word as he narrowed his eyes and growled deeply,” And for Arceus sake, enough with the humming! It wasn’t half bad at first, but having to listen to it just about this whole time is getting really tiresome!!”As frustrated and annoyed Kaizer was, he couldn’t help but feel a bit bad inwardly for blowing up at Calliope like this. He knew he was probably being a bit unreasonable in his anger, and that someone like her didn’t deserve this kind of outburst from him, but he was just so frustrated that he couldn’t help it. With just about all of their Pokemon out and about, the only ones missing now were Dag, that Absol, both still being tended to, Aria and Nyomii, who were on their way here with October, along with Natalia’s Kyurem and that strange puppy Pokemon she had picked up. Aiden could understand her keeping Kyurem in its ball, though he couldn’t help but eye the one she was holding that likely contained the strange new Pokemon she had gotten from Jet. He chanced popping the question as he asked her what exactly that odd-looking Pokemon was, though Natalia didn’t seem to mind at all as she said that she was glad he asked as she released the green puppy onto the table in front of them. Aiden gave the little pup a small smile, tempted to reach out and pet it, but repressed it when he noticed the cursory glance it was giving towards him and Gio. It was clear that the pup was uncomfortable, and Aiden couldn’t really blame her, considering that she had been in the possession of a Void grunt prior to this… Natalia offered the little green Pokemon some berries, though the pup turned its nose up at them. The girl then introduced the little pup, who’s name was apparently Jade, to Aiden and Gio, and mentioned that the blonde-haired boy was the one that she had wanted the Pokemon to meet. ” It’s very nice to meet you, Jade~” Aiden greeted politely to the green pup, offering her a warm smile. However, it seemed Jade had no real interest in hanging around with them, as she jumped off the table to go get some food for herself and hang out with the other Pokemon. Aiden looked over towards Natalia as she sighed, apologizing for Jade’s behavior and saying that the little pup would hopefully start warming up to them a bit more with time. ” Well, considering what she’s likely been through… I guess I can’t really blame her for not trusting people that much,” he said with a nod and a small smile. He listened further as she went on to say that she had no plans to keep Jade unless the pup wanted to stay with her, but at the same time she was hoping he would be able to take her. ” Ah, well…” Aiden started, casting a thoughtful glance down at the table as he mulled over the suggestion, ” I mean, I’d be more than glad to have her. But at the same time, I’m not entirely sure…” He looked towards her again, offering her a soft smile as he nodded slowly. ” I think that the choice should be hers to make, if she wants to stay with you, then she’ll stay with you. If she does wish to come with me, then I’d be happy to take her otherwise,” he suggested, tilting his head slightly, ” Surely she would want some kind of say in the matter, right…?” While Aiden had no problems with accepting someone else’s Pokemon if offered, at the same time he felt that it wouldn’t be right to just take it without some form of consent from the Pokemon itself. If Jade wanted to stay with Natalia after all, then Aiden had no problem with that at all, since the Pokemon technically belonged to her now. He looked up as Gio returned his other Pokemon, who had started squabbling among each other, leaving only Lucario out. The grey-haired boy had finished his meal, and said that he hated to cut their little reunion short, but he was eager to do some training as he ran towards the door. ” Alright then, good luck! And be careful out there!” Aiden called back, waving as Gio bolted out the door with his Lucario in tow. If the boy was looking to do some training in Ilex, hopefully he would stay clear of the Void hideout that Jet had mentioned was stationed there. The last thing Aiden wanted was for their companion to get into trouble, even though he knew that Gio was capable of handling well on his own. Aria couldn’t help but feel relieved when it seemed that she and Nyomii were finally getting through to October, at least so that she could come along with them back to the Pokemon Center to get Kiru taken care of. It was clear that the girl was still pretty shaken from the run-in with the Ekans, as was River from the looks of it. The Delphox then asked the Riolu if she was doing alright, checking her over to make sure that she hadn’t sustained any wounds from that close encounter. River quietly insisted that she was fine, though Nyomii didn’t seem entirely convinced. She asked if the Riolu was sure that she hadn’t gotten bitten or poisoned, since she had yet to gain her Steel-type and that she shouldn’t think of herself as being immune to such things just yet. Entering the Pokemon Center, they approached the counter as she coaxed October to let Nurse Joy take care of Kiru, saying that Fey, Aiden, and Gio were in the cafeteria. The girl probably wasn’t hungry, but surely her friends would love to see her again since they were quite worried about her. Aria gave a warm smile as October seemed to be recovering a little more from the shock of her encounter, thanking them for coming to help her.” It’s no trouble at all, sweetie, after all, friends always look out for each other, yes?”she said with a nod, watching as the girl set Kiru down on the desk, the Pikachu whining that he wanted to see big brother Lucario and show him how strong he was.” I’m sure you’ll get that opportunity soon enough, dearie~ Ario will likely be quite pleased to see how much you’ve grown,”she offered with a sweet smile. She looked back over towards October, frowning a bit when she sensed the shame flickering through the girl’s thoughts.” It’ll be fine, sweetie, I’m certain that they would understand that you were scared… Everyone has their own fears, whether it may be of snakes, spiders, thunderstorms, or otherwise,”she assured with a nod, reaching out and gently patting October on the shoulder,” I’m sure that Aiden, Fey, and Gio have their own share of things that they’re afraid of… I’ll admit that I even have my own fears as well. But there’s no shame in being afraid of anything, no matter how rational or irrational it may be… I’m sure that there are plenty of other people in this world that are afraid of the same thing as you.”Aria could understand October reacting the way she had at the Ekans, knowing how dangerous they could be despite how small and weak they seemed. She couldn’t help it if she feared snakes that much, after all. The Delphox turned her attention towards River, who said that the whole scenario with the snake Pokemon had just been scary. She understood, knowing that River was still quite young and had yet to really be exposed to a lot of the dangers that the world held, though the Riolu seemed more worried about October than anything else.” It’s alright, sweetie… The danger has passed, and October is more or less unharmed, I’m sure that there’s nothing to worry about now,”she assured gently, bending down and lightly stroking the Riolu’s head,” I’m sure she’s thankful that you tried to help her, though. Even though you were scared, you were willing to do what you could to try to get October away from the danger. That was mighty brave of you if I say so myself, River~” Meanwhile, in the other room, Daguerro lay quietly on the bed that he had been placed on after Nurse Joy and her assistants had taken care of him. That Meditite’s strike had really hurt, and though he was feeling much better now, the Jolteon couldn’t help but frown a bit in his sleep. Next time, if he ever faced off against that Meditite again, he would give it a good walloping as payback for what had happened in that battle. Nevertheless, Daguerro focused on getting as much rest as he could before Aiden came back to pick him up. He was vaguely aware of the other Pokemon in the room with him, his ears twitching slightly with every beep that sounded from the monitor that the other was hooked up to. Whatever had happened to the other Pokemon, they had clearly been in much worse shape than he had been… The Jolteon remained where he was, just trying to rest as he listened to the rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor nearby. However, it became clear that something was wrong when he noticed that the monitor’s beeping became more rapid, followed by a loud roaring, demanding to know what sort of containment this was and what they had done to him. Daguerro’s eyes shot open as he heard the alarming beep the monitor was now giving off, clambering to his feet to see what all of the commotion was. From the looks of it, the source of the disturbance was the other Pokemon he had been boarded with, the Absol was practically ripping out the monitor’s wires and was causing a ruckus. What was this Pokemon thinking?! Was he not aware that he was in the Pokemon Center being cared for? Not about to let this chaos go on and possibly cause harm to Nurse Joy or anyone else in the Center, Daguerro leapt down from the bed and faced the Absol.” Hey, you! Knock that off, right now!”the Jolteon barked out, narrowing his eyes as he glared at the Absol that was causing so much trouble,” What the hell’s your problem, man? They’re just trying to help you!”As he eyed the Absol cautiously, Daguerro felt something stir in the back of his mind as he awaited the Dark-type’s response. Something about this creature seemed… vaguely familiar, and off… The Jolteon’s instincts told him to be prepared for the worst, in the event that the Absol might try to lash out at him. Keeping his eyes trained solely on the white-furred beast, Daguerro got into a defensive stance in preparation for what was bound to come.✦ ✦

Natalia nodded lightly as Aiden reasoned out Jade's right to not be very trusting of humans at this point in time. It was true that the pup seemed rather young, and that if her first experiences with humans were wasted on being captured by a Void member like Jet, she had every right to hate humans. That was why Natalia had been so forgiving towards Jade, more so than she usually was. Humans were a despicable race, Natalia had taken on a very similar mindset not so many years ago. It was interesting to see a bit of herself in this pokemon, it was why she had wanted Jade to be a part of her team, but that was ultimately Jade's decision, and honestly Natalia felt the changeling pokemon was better off in Aiden's hands than her own. After all, it had been Aiden who'd proved to Natalia that not all humans were heartless, greed driven, selfish people.
Aiden did however seem hesitant, unsure if he could accept such an offer, at least not without consulting Jade herself first, since the pokemon should have a say in the matter. "R-right.... Yes of course...." Natalia neglected to mention that there would eventually come a time when Jade, or any of her pokemon for that matter, wouldn't be able to make the choice to stay with her, however Gio's sudden move to exit and get on with his training brought Natalia out of her morbid thoughts. His pokemon had apparently gotten anxious and so Gio returned them and made a break for the door after calling out a quick goodbye. "W-wait!!!" Natalia blurted out, eyes wide and fearful, but it was too late, Gio was gone. There went her safety barrier, the only thing keeping Aiden from discussing the events from earlier in private with her. She knew they would have to talk about it eventually, but she was hoping she could avoid the subject for a little while longer. Natalia recomposed herself and withdrew back into her seat, nibbling on a berry and staring down into her lap. There were less selfish reasons for her concern other than just facing this conversation with Aiden or her own petty jealousy with Gio already being so far ahead of them, there was a reasonable fear that Gio might accidentally stumble upon the Team Void temporary stationing in Ilex and run into trouble...
Calliope was rather surprised by Kaizer's sudden snap at her humming, skidding to a midair halt on her route back over to him after she'd grabbed herself some food and nearly spilling the berries all over the floor. "O-oh.... Je suis désolé... I did not know it was bothering you so much...!" Calliope looked rather surprised and a bit saddened. "P-pardonnez-moi, I will ah... Leave you be then." She bowed her head apologetically and fluttered away to a less crowded part of the cafeteria so that she could hopefully eat her berries without unknowingly disturbing anyone like she had Kaizer. It was true, she did hum a lot, all Altaria did, it was why they were known as "the humming pokemon", though she did often hum mindlessly without even realizing that she was doing it, and now apparently she was also oblivious to its irritating affect to others... Oh dear.... She sighed and nibbled on a Pecha berry. At least she couldn't hum and eat at the same time, maybe that would allow others some sort of reprieve.
Meanwhile, at nurse Joy's front desk, Nyomii was happy to see that October was feeling calmer, and a lot better overall. The brunette thanked them both for coming to their rescue and Nyomii nodded in agreement with Aria as the Delphox insisted it was no trouble at all. "Yes, no qualms whatsoever! You're quite welcome, and if you ever need our help again, we would come running just as quickly as we did today~" Nyomii chuckled as Kiru whined about his checkup, insisting he was fine due to anxiously wanting to see Ario and show how much he had grown, however as Aria addressed the shame and fears running through October's mind, Gio and Ario came running through the center's entrance, clearly having some sort of destination in mind. "Well, my goodness.... I'm sorry Kiru, but it appears we just missed them. You'll have to catch Ario some other time." Nyomii chuckled, though both she and Aria soon turned their attention to River, who still seemed quite shaken from the whole ordeal. Nyomii asked her if she was sure she was alright, given that she wasn't a steel type quite yet, and therefore shouldn't go thinking she was immune to poison just yet, but River insisted that it was just scary, seeming to flinch as the doors to the center were flung open by Gio's exit. Poor dear.... Nyomii looked at the Riolu with some pity as Aira reassures the Riolu that the danger had passed now and thet everyone was okay, so she had nothing to worry about. Nyomii nodded in agreement. "That's right~ You were very brave River. Being scared is natural when facing danger, but courage is the ability to face that danger in spite of being afraid. That is what you and Kiru did, and you should be proud!" Nyomii insisted.
Ezio's sharp eyes locked onto the Jolteon now suddenly before him. "They help no one, anyone who believes otherwise is a fool." He snarled, still under the delusion that he was in some Void hideout. This Jolteon... His voice, his stance, it was all familiar in some way, but it couldn't be.... Not unless somehow he had survived a THIRD time... "I know your kind... You don't know when to give up, even when you've been thoroughly beaten, you somehow find the strength to stand. It's disgusting." He growled, his horn glowing as the winds somehow began to stir and come alive in the room. "Join the others like you should... Buried twenty feet below the ground!!!" He howled, charging for the Jolteon with fangs bared.

River wagged her tail softly and blushed at the praise. The riolu had never been called brave before. She paused before hugging nuzzling Aria and then Nyomii.
Kiru watched as his bro and trainer ran off, why did they have to always run off. "Gah! It's not fair" He pouted deflating himself and lay on the desk
"Nurse Joy? Can you please give my Pikachu a check up" October asked as she carefully handed Kiru to the nurse. She looked at him worried when he suddenly lay on the desk looking sad. He was probably missing Gio's lucario. Once the Nurse had taken him she went too look for her friends. "River let's go get something to eat alright?" She smiled as she saw River hugging her friends pokemon, it reminded her of a little kid hugging their parent. Maybe she would just let the riolu walk on her own for a bit. As she made it to the cafeteria she took a plate grabbing a few sandwiches and some milk for River. Spotting them quickly she went over to two familliar faces. "Fey,Aiden it's good to see you both." She pulled a chair over to sit with them. They seemed to be a little tense and she wondered if maybe she shouldn't just leave. "Did you have trouble finding the way here? " She smiled nervously, she needed to ask them if she could travel with them. She had gotten her first badge and she needed to let them know. It didn't look like Gio was around though."Umm, I'd want to ask something. I-I mean if it's alright?"

✦ ✦Aiden ate his own food while he and Natalia talked, noticing her nod at his reasoning for Jade being so distrustful of humans. Knowing that she had been in the hands of a Void goon just minutes earlier… there was no telling what she had been put through in the hands of someone like Jet. Maybe she would come to learn that not all humans were as despicable as she believed, but Arceus knew that it would take a lot of time and patience for something like that to happen… When Natalia went on to say that she was hoping that he could take Jade under his wing, Aiden was more or less rather hesitant as he mulled over the suggestion. While he certainly wouldn’t have any qualms about accepting the offer, he knew that he couldn’t just agree to it without considering how the pup herself would feel on the matter. In the end, he decided that it would be best to wait and see what Jade would want if it came down to such a thing. If she wanted to stay with Natalia, then Aiden would not have any arguments against it, and if she wanted to come with him, then he would accept. It would only be fair for the Pokemon herself to be able to have some sort of say in a decision like that, right? Natalia seemed to agree, albeit reluctantly, before Gio made the announcement that he was going to head out to do some training. His Pokemon were starting to get antsy, and the grey-haired boy quickly returned them and was soon bolting for the door as he called out a quick goodbye. Aiden was rather surprised by Gio’s sudden leaving, though he bid the boy farewell and good luck just before he disappeared out the door. Natalia called out for him to wait, but Gio had already vacated the area. The blonde-haired boy looked to her with a slightly concerned expression, noticing her wide, fearful eyes before she withdrew and settled back into her seat, nibbling on a berry as she kept her gaze down. She was clearly nervous, and Aiden knew that she would be hesitant on bringing up the subject of Void and all the other things that he wished to speak to her about. Perhaps they could put it off until later, it wasn’t like they absolutely had to talk about it right now. Aiden hoped Gio would be alright, however, especially if the boy was planning on training in Ilex. Knowing that there was a Void hideout stationed there, he prayed that their companion wouldn’t run into any trouble along the way… Directing his focus to Natalia, he reached a hand out and gently rested it on her arm for a moment. ” Hey…” he said, his voice soft as he flashed her a small, warm smile, ” Don’t worry about it, alright? It can wait until later.” He knew that there was a time and a place for everything, and for now, he would respect Natalia’s wishes and put off their private discussion until a more appropriate time. Kaizer saw the surprised look on Calliope’s face at his sudden outburst, the Altaria skidding to a halt in midair on her way back over to him and nearly dropping her berries all over the floor. She looked rather shocked and saddened, saying that she didn’t know that her constant humming had been bothering him before pardoning herself and moving over to a different area of the room. As Calliope bowed her head in an apologetic manner before heading off, Kaizer couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt in his heart as his infuriated expression melted away into a look of shame and sorrow. He knew that he could be rather compulsive sometimes, but there were much better ways of addressing the problem. He hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings… Gathering his composure once more, Kaizer picked up his plate of half-eaten steak and moved over to where Calliope sat.” Calliope… I…”he spoke up, his voice soft and wavering,” Listen, I… I’m sorry… I should have gone about pointing out the issue in a much more appropriate manner, and I truly didn’t mean to hurt your feelings like that…”His gaze traveled towards the ground as he spoke, remorse and shame coloring his words.” I really didn’t mind the humming all that much at first, to be honest, and I was trying to keep myself calm and composed out of courtesy… But I should have been more considerate, and it wasn’t fair of me to lash out at you like that… I’m really sorry…”He hadn’t meant to go off on her like he had, but he hadn’t been able to do much to help it at the moment. He did have a bad habit of keeping his anger and frustrations bottled up, and when the dam couldn’t hold it back anymore it just came exploding out in an uncontrollable flood of emotion. And when he was angry, his first reaction was to take it out on anything or anyone who happened to be close by at the time, who just so happened to be poor Calliope. Kaizer genuinely felt guilty for his outburst, he knew that the Altaria didn’t deserve his anger even if her near constant humming had been getting on his nerves. In truth, he wouldn’t blame her at all if she didn’t want to have anything to do with him after that… Aria smiled warmly, feeling much more relieved now that October was calming down considerably as the girl thanked her and Nyomii for coming to her assistance. The Delphox insisted that it was no trouble at all, friends had to look out for each other after all. Nyomii agreed with the sentiment, adding that if the girl was ever in need of help in the future they would not hesitate to come running to her side. Aria gave a light giggle as Kiru complained about his checkup, insisting that he was fine and that he wanted to go see his big brother Ario to show him how much stronger he’d gotten. The Delphox assured him that there would be plenty of opportunities for that in the future, going on to speak to October about her fears. Of course, just as the subject of Gio and Ario had been brought up, aforementioned boy and his Lucario came tearing through the lobby right on cue and were out the door before anyone could say anything to them. Nyomii apologized to Kiru, since they had apparently just missed being able to reconvene with Gio and Ario, and that the Pikachu would have to catch them another time.” Yes, surely you’ll get the opportunity to catch up with Ario again, sweetie~”she soothed with a smile, a thoughtful look crossing her face as she glanced towards the door Gio and Ario had disappeared through,” They seemed to be in quite a hurry… Knowing Gio, they’re probably heading off to Ilex Forest to train. I just hope he’ll take good care of himself out there…”Now that they knew that Team Void was in the area, there was no telling what could happen on the off-chance that Gio might stumble upon their hideout in the forest. A disappointed Kiru pouted as he lay on the nurse’s desk, saying that it wasn’t fair that Gio and Ario had to run off before they could have the chance to catch up. Aria gave a small, apologetic smile to the crestfallen Pikachu, before turning her attention to River as Nyomii asked her if she really hadn’t gotten bitten or anything by that Ekans from earlier. The Riolu insisted that she was fine, and that it had just been a very scary situation for her to be in as she flinched at the opening and closing of the door upon Gio’s rapid exit. The poor dear… she was still quite young and had a lot to learn concerning the dangers that the world had to offer, and Aria could understand that it wasn’t easy for such a young Pokemon to be in a situation like that. Taking on her motherly persona, the Delphox soothed River, assuring her that the danger had long since passed and there was nothing else to worry about. She went on to praise River’s display of bravery, how she was willing to do what she could to get October to safety even though she had been scared herself. Nyomii agreed, saying that being scared was natural when it came to facing danger, but courage was the ability to be able to face that threat despite being afraid. Aria smiled warmly as the Espeon insisted that River and Kiru should feel proud of themselves for doing what they did to protect October, the Delphox’s smile growing as River wagged her tail and blushed at the praise. She blinked slightly in surprise when the Riolu suddenly hugged and nuzzled her, before smiling sweetly and happily returning the gesture, planting a motherly kiss on River’s forehead.” Our little River~”she crooned with a chuckle as the Riolu went on to hug and nuzzle Nyomii as well,” I just know you’re going to grow up to be an excellent fighter and guardian someday, dear~ I hope you continue to demonstrate that courage no matter what dangers you may face in the future, October will certainly need it…” Once Nurse Joy had taken Kiru in for his checkup, October suggested that they head over to the cafeteria for a bite to eat. Aiden looked up, smiling warmly to see October had arrived with Aria and Nyomii in tow. ” Glad to see that you made it here safe and sound, October,” Aiden greeted politely with a nod as their companion pulled up a chair to sit with them after getting food for herself and her Riolu, ” I take it that your battle against Falkner went well?” Of course, he’d had no doubts that October had been able to win out against the Violet City Gym Leader, despite her initial hesitation to battle him at first. Nevertheless, he was glad to see her again, and that she was well despite the complications she had run into earlier. She asked if they’d had trouble finding their way here, seeming rather nervous as she flashed them a smile. ” Ah, it was no trouble at all, really~” Aiden assured with a good-natured smile, though it melted away into a slight frown, ” We did run into a bit of a roadblock back in Union Cave earlier, though… Some strange masked fellow who called himself King tried to bar our way to here and seemed intent on battling us, but we handled it pretty well even though our battle ended rather prematurely…” He sighed softly at that, shaking his head slightly. ” If we’re lucky, hopefully that’s the first and the last we’ll see of him, but I certainly wouldn’t put it past him if he tries to hunt us down again,” he added, knowing that King would most likely come looking for them with intent to finish what they had started. The Jolteon narrowed his eyes at that, baring his teeth as he returned the Absol’s sharp gaze with his own steely glare.” Look man, I don’t know where you think you are or what you think is going on, but the Pokemon Center has helped plenty of people and their Pokemon!”he barked back, taking on a defensive stance as he stared the Absol down,” Personally, I would be a fool to not trust them!”Still, it seemed that reason wasn’t getting through to the beast no matter how much he tried to argue, and Dag couldn’t help but get this nagging feeling that he recognized this very Absol from somewhere… The Dark-type spoke up again, saying that he knew his kind, how the Jolteon had never been one to give up. Even when he had been thoroughly beaten and was on the verge of death, he still found some way to get back up again. The Absol remarked on how disgusting the Jolteon’s tenacity was, his horn starting to glow as the air in the room started to stir up violently as if a gale storm had suddenly been let inside. Bracing against the whipping winds, Daguerro growled as the Absol charged at him, declaring that he should join the others like he should, buried twenty feet below the ground. Acting quickly, the Jolteon dashed towards the Absol, immediately veering off to one side to dodge the Dark-type’s assault. Sweeping past the white-furred beast, Daguerro’s fur sparked and crackled with electricity as he unleashed a Thunderbolt attack in retaliation. Skidding towards the other side of the room, the Jolteon chuckling softly as he eyed his adversary once more.” Heh… Hehehe… Ya really haven’t changed a bit, have ya, Ezio?”he asked rhetorically, a smirk crossing his face. Wait a second… how did he remember the beast’s name all of the sudden? He faintly recalled that it was the name the Absol’s trainer had called him by, but who had she been…? Shaking his head, Daguerro quickly pushed those thoughts aside for the time. Right now, he needed to focus on what was going on in the here and now, keeping an eye on what Ezio would come at him with next was crucial if he was going to be able to successfully hold him off as well as keeping any further damage to the room at a minimum if possible.✦ ✦
