" Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend."
KiyokoOikawa --------------------- ChuuninIce♦User --------------------- The Mizukage was quite respectful, judging by the fact that he went by the order of people who arrived there to talk to them, making the other two genin who arrived after the two chuunin wait. He smiled when Kiyoko finished speaking, saying then that it was the preference of every shinobi. His smile was not the easy kind to read, nor did his words sound very pleasant, but even so she remained silent as he spoke. When he mentioned that his name was debatable for various reasons, she became curious. "Debatable? Why?" she asked but then he continued by asking them to talk about themselves since the only thing he knew was that what could be read on the paper. That's something to be expected, since by the time they graduated it was the previous Kage who reigned. But as a leader, he should be more informed about those under his guidance. "I'm Kiyoko, this is my brother Karth, we're both chuunin and...we're bored." she responded and she did not really knew much of what to tell him. Other missions that she had accomplished should also be in the papers he read, so her skills should not be questioned.
When another person stepped into the office, obviously being too impatient to wait for his turn to talk to the Mizukage, Kiyoko could only look at such person with disdain. It was not that she hated him or anything, it was simply his behavior of being unable to wait that she disliked. Another annoyance was the fact that the Mizukage turned to this person who had just arrived, even though he made the other two genin who arrived not too long after Kiyoko and Karth wait. 'Playing favorites?' she wondered, not sure of why the Mizukage went to give this unknown male attention at that moment. Regardless of his reasons, that only served to show her that even the Kage had flaws. Not that she did not know about that already. But it seemed that in the short moment he took to direct his attention to the other person he planned something for the two chuunin to do. He brought up a B Ranked mission out of some files for the two siblings to take. "Bandits? Alright, they picked the wrong village to mess with." she responded, obviously accepting the mission. Of course, she did hear the part about minimizing civilian casualties, but the Kage said nothing about doing the same for the thieves. "Let's go onii-san." Kiyoko said and started to drag Karth out of the office, leaving the building afterwards. She would continue to drag him in case he did not start walking on his own.

As the two left, the clone fell silent for a moment or two; as if there was something wrong with it. However brief the moment was it passed and the clone looked towards the two Genin who were on standby. Motioning with one hand for them to come over he reached into his desk pulling out the two headbands and placed them on his desk. "Alright...you two are fresh from the academy. Begin with your names, a bit about yourself and your goals in what you have to offer to Kirigakure" He said calmly, crossing his arms as he waited patiently for them to approach and answer.

As everyone else seemed to get their situations squared away and the room cleared a bit more, the Mizukage addressed Luo and Zane at last. As usual, Luo was planning on doing most of the talking for himself and his friend, he didn't want to risk Zane saying something to upset the man on his first day. Walking forward and approaching the desk, Luo bowed respectfully before speaking. "My name is Luo Ushio, and this is Zane Hajime." Motioning to his friend, Luo continued with the introductions. "We make up the Haji/Ushi shinobi pairing that has stemmed from our families for twelve generations. We both share the elements suiton and fuuton. Zane wishes to someday become apart of the Hunter-nin corps. As for myself, I aspire to become a legendary swordsman of the mist, to wield one of her weapons proudly."
Nodding in affirmation of everything, although calm there was a clear glimmer of determination behind his gaze as he looked at the Mizukage. He was rather serious about those last statements, believing whole-heartedly that he and Zane could accomplish their goals for the future. Zane despite laziness was a capable shinobi for sure, and as for Luo, well you could say it's in his blood to become a great swordsman. "What we have to offer sir, is dedication, and skill. A synchronization of technique and battle prowess trained upon for years between the two of us that is unrivaled in our class. There is no greater offer to this great village, than capable protectors...sir."
If there was one thing Luo was good at, it was talking. Despite his age, he was eloquent with his words, well spoken most said. He hoped the explanation was acceptable for the man, not entirely able to gauge the man based on facial expression alone. It seemed time would only tell what his response would be.

It was quickly apparent Luo would be doing the talking himself, usually he would require both shinobi to speak but at the rate the young man was going he did not mind. Indeed the pairing of the Haji/Ushio family was rather common and long enduring for many generations, and more then likely generations to come. With Zane aspiring to be a member of the Hunter Nin Corps and Luo wishing to wield one of the legendary swords as her wielder the two had a long and grueling road ahead of them. One in which he'll have to see to it that they put their best efforts into it.
Upon hearing the final words, the clone tapped his fingers in rhythm of each other before sitting up straight and relaxing his arms upon the desk. "I've heard about you and your intellect Luo from the academy instructors. I am looking forward to seeing you and your friend carry out your ambition. Although keep in mind these means I will have higher expectations from you and Zane. Here, take your headbands" He said, sliding them forward for Luo to come take. Once he did, the water shadow would drot a few things down on paper before looking back at them. "Your assigned squad will be up shortly, for now you can go about the village, busy yourself with a mission, or whichever until you both have been assigned." He said, taking a moment to wonder which squad they would be put on. Of course he'll keep them together, it'll just be a matter of finding a squadmate to compliment their abilities as well as a sensei.

The room finally began clearing as the Mizukage finally adressed the two genins. Zane was thankful that Luo was right on cue, speaking on behalf of Zane. Times like these required a certain amount of tact and finesse, both in which Zane lacked. Zane always spoke his mind, ussually offending others withut meaning to. That was why when it came to speaking to the higher ups, Zane left it to Luo. Even when Zane got the two into trouble back at the academy, Luo always seemed to get the two out of trouble.
As Luo finished, the Mizukage slid forwad their headbands. Zane step forward this time, taking both of them and handing one of them to Luo. "Thank you, Lord Mizukage," was all Zane said. He didn't want to risk making himself look stupid on the first day. What he really wanted to do was complain about the fact that now the Mizukage had high expectations for Zane. That just meant that he had to work harder to meet those expectations. Zane rose his hands and placed the headband across his forehead, wrapping the bands around his head and tying it at the back. This meant that it was official, he was now a Kiri ninja.

As the Mizukage commented on hearing about Luo, a bit of surprise was shown on his face as he felt more at ease. It seemed his reputation was already beginning to precede him. Taking the headband from Zane, he tied it around his neck, letting it hang over the collar of his tunic. His smile grew wide at the now official status of himself and his friend. "Trust me sir, you won't be disappointed." With a short bow, Luo turned with his friend. It was time to start a new chapter in his life. As the walked out the door and down the stairs Luo said to Zane, "So, what should we do first? Personally, I'd like to get a mission or two done so we can get some money. My parents said now that I'm a shinobi they're cutting my allowance in half, so it would be nice to supplement that."
You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot; Now water can flow or it can crash Be water, my friend...
"So that's where my parents got that from!?" Zane exclaimed as he took a step back and pointed his finger at Luo accusingly. His parents had told him the exact same thing. Now that he was a ninja, he needed to carve his own path. For that reason, Zane's parents were going to start cutting him off little by little. "That's why our parents should not be giving each other parenting advice," Zane sighed as he folded his arms aross his chest.
By this point Zane had forgotten that the Mizukage was still in the office, he was just talking to Luo now. "Well...we could patrol the village...isn't that a mission? I'm sure the two of us could cover more ground if we split up. Get it done within a couple of hours," Zane suggested. He didn't want his first mission to be a hassle. Patrolling the village seemed to be rather easy, since there has been nothing threatening Kiri for quite some time.

When Zane pointed at Luo in an accusatory fashion, Luo raised his hands defensively in a calm matter. "Hey, wasn't my fault. It does suck, but I guess it's supposed to help us in the long run." When Zane asked about patrolling the village, Luo shrugged. "I'm not really sure if patrol duty is designated or not, but it might be an open mission. We could do that if that's the case. I saw on the board yesterday that they needed help advertising shinobi weapons in the market. I was thinking about going down there and helping them out with some of my skills. I could make some money pretty easy that way. Or even helping the blacksmith craft some things. I figure it might be good to learn how to do that anyway." As much as he wanted to, he didn't mention the mission about catching a cat that got loose that morning. Zane would probably just try and get out of doing it, so he put the idea away for the time being.
Reaching the bottom of the stairs at last, they walked towards the doors that led back out onto the street. "We should get a spar in later, just to keep ourselves fresh." It wasn't uncommon for Luo to request a spar, in fact most days he usually did request one. It was Zane's lazy nature that forced Luo into not overworking himself, something the young genin didn't quite realize. To him, Zane's laziness was getting in the way of getting better.

Entering the mizukages office building kai slowly climbed tge stairs. each step making him wince slightly in pain. He reached the top and placed a hand against the wall using it to support his weight. He made his way to tge mizukages office stopping outside the door he knocked his body still slightly weak. Kai took a swig of his water which had been in his free hand, the straw sending the clear liquid into his mouth. Making a face kai swallowed tge water anti-venom mixture a chill running down his back as he held back his vomit.
"I don't care either way...pick a mission to do and I'll follow your lead," Zane shrugged as the two of them were now standing outside of the Mizukage's building. The streets were bustling with ninja and villagers. He really didn't care what mission they did, so long as it didn't involve too many hassles. "A spar would be good though...tossing you around the ring like a rag doll is always a fun thing to do," Zane laughed as he mocked Luo. The two of them have been sparring ever since they were young, and both of them had vastly different strengths and weaknesses. What was ironic is that the reason why the two of them were paired up was to make up for the weaknesses that each of them had.

Nodding in return to Luo's bow he watched as the pair discussed what to do next as far as their mission as well as a possible spar. As they headed down stairs he looked over towards where Shura was and motioned her over. As he did he took notice of Kai being near by. Perhaps he has been successful, seeing he is still around He thought as he looked towards Shura. "How was your mission" He asked, curious to hear of the results.
--------------------------------------------"..You ether follow the rules.."-------------------------------------------
Shura watched as slowly everyone left till it was just Hirose and herself. Kai of course had come back rather quickly, but Shura was addressed before him. She quietly moved up to stand about three feet from the desk and took a more relaxed position with her left hand resting on her swords hilt. "The mission was a success. The thief was a cloaked shinobi of at least genin rank. He tried stealing a bag of scrolls from the scroll shop when I caught him. He then ran away and I proceeded to chase him across the market place, he only ambushed me once with a few clones, but after taking care of them I resumed the chase using the help of a lightning clone. I had the clone stay on street level and corner him in the market square near the fountain while I got into position on an adjacent roof-top. My clone tried to reason with him as a crowd started to gather, but I took the initiative and killed the Thief with a wind enhanced kunai to his throat before he could try to escape again.. I then returned the stolen scrolls and had the usual clean up crew dispose of the body before I came here." Shura told the Mizukage giving him her full report. She of course was starting to feel a bit of regret for killing the Thief, but since her clone couldn't reason with him then it was the only other choice she had. Shura sighed as she looked out the window to the office then back to the Mizukage, she wondered what the Mizukage would think about how she completed the mission.

Swordslinger Simple :: B-Rank The rapid changing and using of blades during a battle has become recently known as “swordslinging” within the martial world due to its resemblance to certain methods of using long-range weaponry. Within the Shunkan no Hagane style, however, this is a technique taken very seriously, and as such it is only given to those who have mastered the style up to this Stage and have experience using at least five weapons. The technique involves rapidly unsheathing, attacking, and sheathing weapons without pause, constantly changing mode and form of attack, and results in the user’s ability to use techniques without any extra physical cost.

Trick Style: Blade's Edge Practice :: Rank B The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision- able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip.
Hirose quietly listened to each of the visitors as they talked with the Mizukage. There were a few very hopeful genin here. They had great potential. With a good teacher they could be crafted into strong ninja for the village, Hirose thought. He didn't say anything though, while he waited for the Mizukage to acknowledge his presence first before giving his report.
