Rosa went to follow Tala bowing her head to the man in thanks only to freeze when Tala would stop. She stared at the mob, backing up slowly. "Tala, now what do we do?" she asked softly. The old man watched quietly, not speaking as he watched the pair and seen the mob outside. Moving he stepped towards them handing them each a black cloak that felt nice and warm but also seemed designed to allow the wearer to also stay cool to not overheat.
"Come, let us be on our way. I'm sure you both will wish to continue on your journey now and find what you are looking for." The old man said calmly, walking towards the mob. "I apologize, they came to see me, they are part of my family from my mothers side, she and her family had a tendency to wander about as well to see the world. So please return to your work or businesses as I escort my family on their way. It's been so long since I last seen any of my family." He said laughing some, giving them a happy look with tired old feeble looking eyes to lay on the act good. Rosa stared confused blinking not sure what he was doing but wasn't going to say anything if it would actually work as he stood between the mob and the pair calmly.
From out of the crowd Mya came jumping giggling, still as joyful as ever before. "Hey!" she sang, racing up and picked the old man up causing him to give a yelp of surprise as she caught him, her spinning as she caught him, her tail swishing happily behind her with a box strapped to her back. "Hey you old goat!" she sang laughing and nuzzled him purring. He grunted sighing, rolling his eyes some as she did this, apparently she was hyper much of the time and this wasn't new for her to do to him.
"What do you want Mya?" he asked strictly sighing again as she laughed putting him down.
"Oh you are just so serious all the time. Lighten up." She said huffing putting her hands on her hips pouting then looked to Tala smiling. "Hey you two. I finished your gown." she said giggling taking the box off her back holding it out to Rosa who took it nodding.
"Thank you very much. How much do we owe you?" Rosa asked curiously. Mya wagged a finger in front of them shaking her head.
"No no payment needed remember? You already paid me." Mya reminded them smiling, her cat ears twitching to listen to the crowd she'd just shoved her way through moments earlier. She turned looking back at them and smiled. "Hey, you all needing maps from the old goat? Amazing how lost you all get when not leaving the village or going far." she giggled. The old man huffed grunting and folded his arms in front of his chest before sighing shaking his head slowly.
Rosa watched this confused and not sure about what just happened before looking to Tala. "Should we try leaving now or what do we do?" she asked Tala softly, not sure what they could or should do now as Mya was joking around with the old man not seeming to notice or appear to care about the mob in the road that had been waiting for Tala and Rosa to come out.

"We should be leaving..." Tala noted, nudging Rosa towards the crowd as he turned back to face the old man, "Thank you ever so much for your help Uncle," he forced a smile, "We need to get as far as we can before nightfall, else we'll spend another night in the cold..." he tried to joke, but clearly was no good at it... "Come, Sister," he finally took Rosa's arm, "Thank you for your help as well, Mya, it's greatly appreciated," he nodded, then stepped towards the crowd, feeling the tension lift slightly as they backed away to let them pass, "Maybe we'll come back to visit again before the fall," continuing his charade he waved to the man, glancing over his shoulder before moving further through the crowd as they split. "...We need to get some transport," he whispered to Rosa finally...

"Thank you uncle, we'll see you again hopefully." She said smiling waving back to the old man who smiled to them waving in return nodding as she went with Tala, smiling. Mya giggled smiling waving back.
"Bye be safe you two." Mya said giggling softly.
"Have a safe trip. Return anytime. It's always good to see family gain." the old man said chuckling waving to them. Mya's cat ears twitched hearing Tala and she grinned widely, moving through the crowd without a care and moved to greet Tala and Rosa outside the crowd. She smiled nodding with soft giggles coming from her throat.
"Come with me. I have a transport for you both." she whispered softly to them. Rosa watched her a bit worried to what this cat demon had in mind for a transport for them. "Trust me, he's perfectly safe and won't hurt you guys. He's a nice horse." she said smiling, taking both Tala and Rosa's arms and pulled to lead them towards an alleyway that would lead to the back of her shop. "I always keep him back here. I don't want him getting hurt alone out there in the world. He's like a child to me." Mya said giving sweet kitty eyes to them both, not saying what the horse looked like or anything.
Rosa nodded softly, looking to Tala shrugging a little as she followed, staying by Tala. "It can't hurt to see the horse she has. It'd be something anyway." She whispered softly to him, Mya's ears twitched some as she nodded, giving a small pouty face, wanting them both to see her pet that she was going to let them use to continue on their journey.
When they would arrive she would move showing them her pet. Rosa stared her jaw falling open in shock at what she seen. What she thought she'd see was a horse like any other but instead she was seeing an animal that she didn't think fell into the same class as a horse. It's body shape was like that of a horse but instead of hair it had what looked like dark scales of silver covering its body. It's head was a bit longer than a normal horse and smooth almost like metal, it a dark color like its body with narrowed yellow eyes that made Rosa think of a demon.
It's mane looked black and not quite right and upon closer looking it'd be seen it was like barbed wire and that its tail was the same yet both moved in the breeze like any other mane and tail of a horse. It's legs front and back were like a deers but the feet that would be hovels on a normal horse were different on this beast. The back feet were like that of a dragon, three toes in front with talons and a talon in the back, Mya explaining it was used for balance if needed and to fight with if needed as well to pick up more speed when running. The front feet were like hovels but the hardness around at the base hid feet that were like that of a lion except the pad of the paw was hard as stone to help reduce injury when running or if in a fight. When the beast shook its head giving an odd sound like a nah but not the same kind as one would hear from a normal horse, it showed that along its back were medium colored silver spikes following its spine to the base where its head met its body, leaving an opening area for a rider or two to sit then it finished along its back to his butt still following along its spine.
Rosa stared shocked as the beast stomped one foot, snorting and glaring at them with cold eyes, showing it wasn't an easy beast to tame. Mya smiled. "Isn't he grand? He's a um well forgot what he is but he's what you'd call a horse, right? He's a sweetheart when he gets used to you." She said smiling giggling and went up to the odd horse, petting its nose and it seemed to relax some and closed its eyes as she pet it.

Tala kept a worthy distance from the creature... He'd tamed beasts before, but mostly out of luck and with the main intention of showing up the Old Mage, but without Caran around to make him feel better than he was, he knew it wasn't going to be an easy feat... "Uhm..." He looked at the creature, careful to avoid eye contact for fear of riling the beast, then he glanced at Rosa, "Ladies first?" He knew he'd feel guilty if she got hurt, but then again, it was her problem for not being careful...right? Not wanting to offend the girl by asking what the creature was, Tala reached for one of the scrolls he'd noted the Bestiary down on and started to look for anything that was remotely similar to the beast before him...

Rosa stared as Mya hummed to the beast that when looked up would be under the name of Horzun, a form of demon horse. It would tell of their eating grass and other plants but how they could also eat meat of other animals. It would also state they could at top speed run over 80 almost 100 mph as was clocked one or more of the species running that fast. "He's a good boy you know, not so mean or anything." Mya said calmly as she petted it. "Come here and pet him. He won't bite." She said and slowly Rosa neared looking to Tala and then the beast as she approached. Slowly Rosa reached out to touch it, jumping and recoiled her hand when it would snort.
Mya laughed taking Rosa's hand and pulled her closer and touched her hand to its nose. "Here, see? He's good." Mya said as Rosa slowly began to stroke it's nose. When it began to stomp one front foot Mya shook her head. "No boy she's gonna be your new mama so you be good." She warned and it snorted, stopping its stomping.
"What's his name?" Rosa asked stunned at how well the animal listened to Mya. She looked to Mya as she nodded.
"Yea he listens great when he knows who is in charge. His name? Oh I been calling him Meta." Mya answered smiling and backed up to let Rosa pet and get used to Meta. "Hey Tala, come on over and say hello to Meta." Mya told him grinning. "He won't bite yea just don't hold meat out to him. If you do then you might lose the hand holding it out to him. He eats plants and grass but can also eat meat when its offered." Mya explained while holding a hand out for Tala to come closer as Rosa kept stroking it's nose, causing it to slowly relax. Gently Rosa reached out with her other hand to touch its mane and was shocked at what it felt like.
The mane looked rough like wire to her but when touched it felt soft and smooth like any other mane. Mya looked over to Rosa nodding. "When he's relaxed his mane is soft but if he's upset it's gonna be rough and hard because it's for his defenses if ever attacked or being threatened and must protect himself." She explained as Rosa nodded slowly listening closely as she looked the demon horse over still shocked at what she was touching and seeing before her very eyes.

"I'd rather keep my distance..." Tala shook his head, "Animals don't like me very much."The passage in the Beastiary on the creature was more than a little interesting, but he still felt it best to remain distant from it...just in case. One main problem sprung to mind however, that if he refused to share a ride on the animal with Rosa, he stood the chance of being left behind... But maybe that would be ok? He'd spent pretty much all his life alone...what was one more experience...? He was deep in thought over how he was going to proceed...

Mya nodded watching him then watching Rosa with the beast. Mya watched her then watched Tala, walking up to him. "Why do you think he not like you? He likes her so he should like you, yes? You and her are together, yes?" she asked watching him. "He won't bite and if you both are together or travel partners then you will have to ride on him with her." She said smiling to him as Rosa was petting and stroking the demon horse gently, finding it fascinating.
Mya's tail swished some behind her as she watched looking to his book then him. "Do you want to stay here then? You're welcome to stay if you want." She offered, her cat ears twitching some as she watched listening to the horse and Rosa to make sure she wasn't going to be hurt. "It's a very gentle beast in all reality. It will fight though if it feels you are wanting to fight but if you don't mean to harm it and if it does charge if you don't fight back it won't harm you." the cat demon purred softly to Tala.
Rosa looked over to them smiling. "Hey Tala, you have to come and see this. The scales are amazing. You also have to feel how soft his mane is. It looks so rough and hard but it's actually soft and smooth." Rosa said excited smiling and kept petting the demon horse as she walked around it, checking it out astonished by it, having never seen one before till now.

"Just because he likes her, doesn't mean he likes me." Tala replied bluntly, briefly recalling the incident with the horse Caran had purchased for him... "And I don't like to stay in one place for long either." He wasn't prepared to divulge about his past in The Forest of Sune, but he had no plans on staying. His eyes drifted to Rosa, she was quite enjoying the creature's presence... Tala had never felt the need to become friends with any animal, tame or wild, and couldn't quite understand why anything should want to do the same...Caran had been the first being to accept him without question, but that didn't really count as he'd attacked the guy and lost - it was a mutual acquaintanceship... Casting another glance back towards Mya, but not meeting her eye he reluctantly put the book in his pack and advanced, grinding to a halt as the creature lifted its head and turned to face him... *What's it likely to do to me...?* he thought, scrutinising every inch of the Horzun from a distance and trying to reassure himself it wasn't going to freak out like the other animals... He swore he saw its scaly hide bristle, even the spines on its back appeared to tense up...it let out a snort - possibly a warning, but with Rosa by its side he couldn't be sure... Advancing closer he lifted his arm slightly, glancing up at the creature before extending his hand, he met its eyes fleetingly, once, twice, then turned his head away, waiting for the creature to savage his arm...

Mya watched curiously as Rosa looked smiling softly. "It's okay boy. He's a nice guy. I first was scared but he's nice. He's learning to trust people like you." she said gently, softly stroking the Horzun's back and side. It snorted, watching Tala but didn't attack him it staying put. Slowly it moved it's head towards his arm sniffing him out before gently nuzzling him with its nose, going to be nice as Rosa had asked. Rosa smiled softly nodding. "Good boy, that's very good. See? Tala is a good guy just scared like you were of Mya and then of me." Rosa explained giggling softly.
Mya smiled grinning. "This is great! I told you he was nice." Mya said victoriously smirking to Tala as she watched the Horzun nuzzling his arm.

Tala didn't approve of all the 'nice-guy' and 'scared' comments... but he had to admit, he had flinched when the creature had first nuzzled his hand... He ran his fingers across the creature's scales, the sensation quite strange and one he'd never felt before, then he turned to face Rosa, "So..." Rosa would probably guess that his next question was to be when they were setting off... He still didn't like the idea of sharing a horse with someone...but for the time being, it looked like he'd have to 'grin and bear it'

Rosa looked to Tala smiling softly. "We can go when you are ready. We could start out now or we can start out at dawn or whenever you want to." She said gently looking to the beast. Mya smiled watching them, purring and giggled drawing Rosa's eyes.
"You both look so cute! Like you both have a crush and can't say it first!" Mya exclaimed laughing. Rosa's cheeks went red as she looked down quickly, her cheeks reddening more.
"You can't say that. We're just friends. We don't know each other well enough yet." Rosa said gently almost in a sing tone. Mya giggled more.
"Oh? Then why do you blush?" she asked giggling moving over to a gate pushing it open. "You both are welcome to go now or you may stay and leave in the morning. It's up to you both after all." She said simply, nodding to them both, her ears twitching as birds chirped about them. The beast looked watching Tala before looking forwards and nahed rearing back with its front legs into the air kicking them as it brought them down with a strong thud. This caused Rosa to scream and fall back as the horse came down it snorted, glaring at Rosa who backed up and it advanced, trying to step on her shirt as she moved out of the way, giving another nah that sounded like an angry whine.
"Hey! Stop it!" Mya shouted running over, trying to calm the Horzun down but it shook its head to try and get her hands off the reins. Rosa moved back scared as it kept trying to get away from Mya not listening to her at all. "Tala, here, you keep him still. I'll be back with some ocean grass, it calms Horzun's down." Mya said staying put till Tala would get the reins and when he would have the reins she'd race off into her home for the ocean grass.

((Hope it's ok what I wrote - I know it's your beastie)) neutral Tala tensed at her order, looking across at the beast before advancing and taking the reins - The creature was exceptionally strong, but Tala had grown up in Sune and had more strength than would be expected of a young male his age... He gripped the reins tightly, pulling the Horzun away from Rosa so she would be harmed, it flailed its head, its mane becoming like razorwire and catching him across the side of the face. Tala drew a breath, wincing but ignoring the blood that now ran from the graze over his right eyebrow... Holding the reins in his right hand, he reached out his left and tried to place it against the Horzun's face, keeping his feet out of the way so they weren't stepped on... "Calm it down already, Beast." Tala muttered, trying to hush the creature, his left hand finally reaching the creature's face and running down its nose in an attempt to calm it...

(that's great post ^^)
Rosa slowly stood watching this worried as Mya came back out but stayed back watching the Horzun fighting against him before slowly quieting down as it watched Tala, eyes narrowed and snorted as it stood still with some off and on stomping. Rosa stared shocked as the beast started to calm though its tail and mane were still sharp and stiff. Slowly Mya approached, stopping when the beast turned its yellow eyes on her and snorted, stomping one foot strongly.
"Here, they love this grass." Mya said holding some out to Tala as the Horzun kept its eyes on her coldly, snorting some with stomping of its front foot, daring her to come closer. It's tail swished in warning, not damaging his scales of his body as his eyes never left her form as she held the aqua colored and dark blue colored grass out to Tala to take to give it to the Horzun she'd named Meta.

((Thanks)) mrgreen ((Hope this one's ok too?)) :p Tala held up a hand to have Mya wait a moment, then stepped into the Horzun's gaze, blocking its clearly animated view of her whilst at the same time, staring deep into its eyes... Daring it to focus on him... Even though he knew staring it down was a good step towards suicide, Tala hoped the creature would see no threat in his gaze; he didn't want to try the grass until it was a last resort, believing it to be something like catnip for these beasts... Replacing his left hand upon its nose Tala rubbed it gently, still keeping his eyes locked with the Horzun's before finally dropping his gaze... He tilted his head forward slightly, resting it against the hand that had now stopped massaging its nose, then closed his eyes. Whatever happened next, he would deal with the consequences... If it freaked out and struck him down, then he would learn from his experiences and wouldn't try that again...but if the creature calmed and remained that way, then he would see what went on from there... All in all, the next few minutes were key...

(very good ^^)
The Horzun stomped watching Tala then as Tala put his head on his hand the Horzun didn't make a move to attack or jerk back. It simply watched Tala before snorting and closed its own eyes, slowly its mane and tail began to smooth out and lose its sharp barbs. Mya sighed happy to see it relaxing but was confused to how Tala did that but was happy. Rosa smiled, slowly approaching carefully, watching to make sure she showed no intent to attack if the Horzun looked.
Rosa didn't speak, astonished at how well the Horzun minded and seemed to respond to Tala. A few slow coming minutes later the Horzun opened its eyes looking to Tala and nuzzled his hand snorting its hot breath onto his hand, watching him with its demon yellow eyes. Mya giggled softly smiling, happy to see this as Rosa smiled. "You're really good with Meta. It's cute and here you were afraid to come near him." Rosa said gently, watching the pair.
