Noel looked around the inside of Aria's home, while he unsheathed his sword and leaned it against the wall. 'Wow, this is ...' he trailed off. 'This is pretty nice for a shack in the woods. I mean, it's better than anything I could have built.' He sat with his legs crossed and yawned. He was tired, but felt like talking for a while. 'So you live here by yourself?' he asked Aria.

It wasn't much, but it was better then them being out of her protective ring. She didn't like it when people stayed at night near her house, most of them were killed and then the following nights all manner of beasts would be around her home."Yes, I stay here by myself." Aria said finally acknowledging that he had spoken before. She wasn't good around other people it had been some time since she had even really talked to someone, let alone a man. 'Thanks,' said Noel as he took the hammock. Aria seemed reluctant to talk; either she didn't want to or she wasn't used to it. If she lived out here all by herself, Noel could guess it was the latter, so he kept talking while he hung up the hammock.
'You didn't sound too amazed by our quest earlier, which is weird because I was hooked once I heard a dragon was involved. So what would you consider an adventure?'

To me that doesn't seem like a quest, more like a job." she said poring some water into a pan and setting it slightly above her hand."What I seek is the flame of life. Ranai." she spoke casting a fire spell, being the only one she know, her hand let a flame stay steady under the pot. She was heating up the water with her magic, she didn't feel like making a huge fire, so this was the best she could do. When the water had began to boil she pored the hot water into a tea pot. This was the best way to get clean water out here. "If you would like some tea you can have some as well." Aria put some herbs in the pot to steep till it was drinkable, although, she did put honey in all her tea to make it sweeter. 'Yeah, um, yes to the tea, please,' mumbled Noel. He had never thought of his quests that way, but he didn't see any reason why he should. 'It's not like I gain nothing from adventuring,' he said. 'I get to see the world, and sometimes I learn new stuff. Like, maybe I can learn some Elvish from Skyelar on this quest.
'But what's wrong with trying to please others, anyway? Happiness is kind of contagious, so if I make other people happy then I'll be happy, and that's something else I get. Which means I'm still doing the quests because I want to.'
Noel paused to think, but there was nothing else to add. He had never thought this much about why he took quests. Adventures were fun, and he wanted to have fun. That had always been reason enough.
'I've never heard of the flame of life before. Is it a kind of magic? What does it do? Is it hard to learn magic?'

The tea was ready by the time he had finished his spew. She pored him a glass and then herself one, "Here." she said handing him the cup of tea. "Its a tea that will help relax you." she sat down next to him and had a sip of the warm tea. He asked her about the magic she had just used, "Its a type of fire magic. Being the only one I know. Fire is hard to control, and there are a lot of magic folk who don't know how to use it well. The spell I used for a small flame, Ranai, is just used to start small fires or heat stuff up. You can't use it as an attack or anything, but there is a lot of music that is that way." Aria took a deep breath, "Learning magic is not something most people can do, its supposed to be something that is passed down through generations. But, the majority of normal humans can not use magic. So, it isn't hard to learn, but most humans can't use it to begin with." she finished and then started to drink the rest of her tea. Noel could tell he had not convinced her of his views on adventure, and experience from some treacherous quests had taught him not to trust anyone who told him to relax. But he put all that aside, eager to keep the conversation going.
'But you said that that fire magic is what you seek. If you can already use it does that mean you're trying to make it better?'

Aria set her cup down and closed her eyes,"All people have a limit to what type of magic they can use. Healing, fighting, elemental, those type of things. I'm best with healing arts and elements, so if its used for fighting I only know a few spells. You should get some sleep if you want to get up early in the morning, besides, this mountain your going to will take half the day to get to." Aria abruptly got up and went into her room to sleep. She was tired now and it was getting late in the night, so it would be best to sleep till morning light. She fell onto her bed pulling a thin blanket over herself and fell asleep instantly. Noel threw back the rest of his tea and put down the cup. He did not understand in what way she was seeking the 'flame of life'. But now that he was still and quiet, a wave of tiredness washed over him, and he climbed into the hammock. 'Maybe there will be time to ask again tomorrow,' he thought as his eyes closed.

Logan slowly opened his eyes as he felt the air around him get warmer. He slowly looked over to Skyelar. He slowly started to get up, he knew that she would get up as he started to move.

Logan stood up and picked up his bow and arrows. He slung them back onto his shoulders. He looked towards the house, Could see about getting some food. He looked over to Skelar, as he reached a hand up and scratched his head.
