Hania and Mahiri Become Mates
Hania was feeling unusually happy today. Maybe because he felt he would see some old friends... some old, good, close friends. Mahiri popped into his mind... "I wonder where she is now?" ...then Celendria did. He had been meeting up with Settia a lot as well, now that he thought about it. How was he going to choose a mate at this rate?
The fox coloured female bucked as she stretched. She had been away from her own kind for so long and she just wanted to find some friends. She had over heard things said about mates by her friends as she would never see them as "owners" as such. The girl had spoken about things like that before and in a way it had made her lonley. The male she knew, was her best friend and oh how she missed Hania. One day she would take him to meet her human friends as they were both lovely people and loved her dearly. They would love him too if only she could find him.
Hania trotted out into the fields, pumping his legs that hadn't been stretched for a good trot, canter, gallop, or run in a long time. He had finished eating his breakfast that his human had laid out for him early on, and after a relaxing brush down from her, she had released him to go about as he pleased. "I wonder if I really will get to meet some old friends," he mused as he trotted.
She bucked and shook her head as she let out a long neigh like sound that seemed to be crossed with some sort of snorting. She hadn't seen Hania though he wasn't even that far away from her. She nickered happily to herself and set out on a run, she ran into the field where Hania was though nearly ran straight past him without even realising he was there. She did however turn quickley, nickering towards him she trotted over, nuzzling his neck and nipping at his shoulder. "Hania!"
Hania blinked as an orange sped past him before turning around to nuzzle and n** at him. "Hiri?" he asked, astonished before he nuzzled her gently in greeting. He was still a little stunned to actually see her. It had been a long time. "Hiri!! I missed you," he said, smiling happily.
Mahiri smiled as she saw her friend and nuzzled him again, "Oh I have really missed you Hania!" She nicked again before trotting around him in her own way that she did to him sometimes. "It has been so long, oh and how I have missed you, Hania!" She nuzzled him again and then nipped at him playfully. She tossed her head a little and a playful spark in her eyes.
Hania smiled, his heart swelling enormously. "How have you been, Hiri?" He nipped at her neck gently. "I've missed you too, dearest one," he added in a soft whisper, half hoping she'd hear and half-hoping she wouldn't. He grinned upon seeing that familiar playful spark in her eyes. "Ah... you want to play again?" he said in a sly tone.
"I have been ok.. missed you so much though but I seen more of the lands and running ever so free!" She trotted round in circles as she spoke and then the soft words hit her and she just smiled. "Awww Hania!" She giggled a little and nipped at him, "Play? As if I would turn down an offer to do that!" She chuckled and reared up on her hind legs pawing the air before landing on all fours and running away from the stallion before turning and nickering. She loved her friend, her best friend!
Hania smiled sheepishly when he realized that she'd heard him. "Well, I am feeling more than friendship from you..." he muttered, and then reared as she did, and chased after her. "It's a wonder I can keep up with you!!" he called, laughing, mane and tail billowing like clouds as he ran around her. He nipped at her shoulder gently before turning and running away. "Tag... you're it!" he called, laughing loudly as he pushed his speed and pumped his legs hard.
She nickered at him, oh he was so sweet! When he nipped her she ran after him. The wind blowing through her mane and tail as she caught up with him and nuzzled him, nipping him aswell as she rushed past she yelled the obvious words behind, "Your it!" She giggled again as his words went over her head, he felt for her more then jsut friends? Oh, that was.. well.. there were no words to describe it! She just stopped and waited for him to catch up. Her eyes glittering with happiness and excitment, this was definatly fun!
Hania laughed as he was nipped, along with the familiar words shouted toward him. "Oh, that's it, Hiri!" he called, and smiled. "Heh, here I come!" he leapt forward and charged, his hooves making a thundering sound as he pounded the ground to try and catch up with his best friend (more like the one he ultimately loved) to tag her. Hiri must be in a really good mood because she's faster than ever and more hyper than normal, Hania thought, chuckling.
She chuckled as she decided waiting was boring and thundered down towards him. She nickered as she neared him and though she was going head on she moved slightly to the right just before they collided. She slowed and turned around nickering at him again. She was happy, he was right there, she was seriously happy! She couldn't believe that she was with Hania again, she really had missed him!
Hania was glad that Mahiri had turned slightly so that they didn't clash when he noticed that she was thundering towards him. He turned and whickered at her, smiling to see her so happy. She was beautiful, innocently beautiful. Maybe that was what attracted him to her. "I can tell you can't believe I'm here right in front of you, Hiri," Hania teased, not knowing that that was exactly what Mahiri was thinking. He trotted over to her and nuzzled her strong neck and then moved away slightly. "Do you want me to say it?" he whispered huskily.
A yellow 'flash' seemed to dance at the base of trees, zigzagging around them. One coulden't really tell exactly who it was, but seeing it was a stallion was easy. But soon, it reached the field where Hania and Mahiri enjoyed a game of tag. Oh he wanted to just burst in a join the game, but it was rude, so he let out a loud whinny. Hania he briefly remembered, if memory was on his side, he was close to Orchu, but this mare was new, so he'd probably try and learn their names, not remembering Hania's, and then play tag with them.
Mahiri nickered as he got closer to her, she could feel the heat from his body and it made her feel so content. She just nodded her head, she was more curious to what he was going to say then anything else, what was he going to say? Did she know? She wasn't sure but she really did feel warm, not like hot, but something else, soemthing she really wasn't use to. Her ears suddenly pricked up and she looked over Hania's back to the stranger who she didn't know. She shuffled around a bit, hoping that Hania would know who the new stallion was. She nickered quietly to Hania, rubbing her head softly on his neck, someone was oging to have to talk to the new stallion soon, but right now, she wasn't going to be the one, most unlike her.
Hania whispered so very softly in Mahiri's ear, "I love you... and not just as a best friend. As more than that." Turning, he glanced at the stallion. "Hello," he greeted. "Long time no see." His memory flashed as he took in the familiar stallion... what was his name... Palla... Pallaton! "Pallaton," Hania smiled. "I remember you! Orchu played a bit with you."
Palla grinned as this one remembered him, and trotted a bit closer, to get a better look. "I remember you-- but I can't remember your name quite well-- It started with an 'H' right?" He asked, before looking to the mare, smiling kindly. "Hello. " He greeted her, as she seemed a little hesitant to talk.
"That's right. My name's Hania," he replied, chuckling a little. He nudged Mahiri. "Hiri? Aren't you going to introduce yourself or do I have to? This is Pallaton, another of my friends. I've met many Soquili while you were gone, Hiri." Hania smiled softly at the fox-colored mare before nuzzling her.
She looked the stallion over, he was a fine stallion that was for sure, seemed strong and somewhat scary though she didn't know why she thought that, he seemed really gentle. She nuzzled Hania and looked to the other stallion still standing behind Hania, was safer there and the reason she hadn't said anything to begin with was because she was trying to take in the face that another loved her, actually loved her. She was scared what would come out her mouth if she opened it. "I am Mahiri, Hania calls me Hiri, like a pet name!" That was the only way she could say it without blurting out that she was all to happy to hear that Hania loved her and it was just, the best thing she could imagine!
"I call her Hiri..." Hania winked at Pallaton to give the stallion a hint by what he meant. Laughing, he said, "Hiri, I though Pallaton here was almost my blood-brother, but he has a light coat coloring and I only know him through Orchu.. have you met Orchu?" Hania wondered how many Soquili Mahiri had met... so if she stuck with him, she was bound to meet many, many Soquili. He nuzzled Mahiri; it felt nice to know that he loved her deeply and truly. He wondered if she felt the same; she had yet to say anything, but he didn't doubt her.
"It has been a while since I have met anyone. Last I saw anyone was that last time we played with the others and.. that white stallion. I can't remember his name though, he seemed hyper. I wasn't too keen on him." She then realised that she was making pratically no sense and was quiet, just watching the two stallions, one she had strong feelings for and the other, she didn't know.
"A pleasure, Mahiri, 'pet' of Hania. " Pallaton said, joking with what the mare had just said. The scars on both his cheecks were still quite visible, his fur not having grown enough to cover it. He looked at the two with a grin. "Mind if I cut into your game of tag? " Palla coulden't hide it, he loved tag, it involved running, and he loved running even more. And better even-- he could do it with others. And a game of three was funner than one of two.
Hania twitched his ears. "I believe you mean Sora. He was hyper like you! Though I believe he has a mate now... I think..." Hana pondered a bit, then shrugged. "Right. Well, are you up to a game of tag, Hiri?" he knew that Palla was itching for a run. He couldn't be playboy around Mahiri for some reason, now he thought about it. He mentally grinned to himself. It was because he loved her, that was why. Hania grinned. "All right, if you want to play tag with us..." Hania nipped him. "You're it! C'mon, Hiri, run, run!!!" he called as he nudged Mahiri and then thundered away.
Mahiri would never turn down a game and Hania knew that. She nickered happily and whispered something to Hania, "Talk to you later, sweetie" She chuckled as she trotted off turning towards them and rearing up on her hind legs. "Honestly, you males are SO slow!" She turned and bucked before taking off quickly. She was happy and she was fast and she was most definatly quick on her feet that was for certain!
Hania had to fight the blush was wanting to appear on his face when he heard Mahiri's whisper. Wait a minute... "What do you mean SLOW!?" he bellowed, then, unable to keep a serious face, laughed and charged after her. "Okay, that's it! Pallaton, tag me quick! I'm going after Hiri!!" Hania called, and began to chase after the fox-colored mare.
Palla grinned, waited a bit before rearing as Mahiri did, before dashing forward, he was quick to cach up, but slowed down, deciding not to tag any of them just yet. He'd wait to have a bit more fun, yees. Palla was quite fast, but had trouble deciding on who to target, or even if he should target. Maybe Hania, who had just tagged him from nowere-- nah. He'd just go for the closer one to him when he decided to tag someone, that'd be much easier.
Mahiri ran off into the forest that wasn't to far off. She loved playing therer because she could weave in and out of the trees and that is what she wanted right now, to wind the boys up, especially her love, Hania.
Hania followed Mahiri into the trees. Uh oh, he thought to himself. Here's going to be a challenge... He wasn't too agile with trees, and he knew Mahiri came here to confuse both Pallaton and him. "Well, here goes nothing!" he said, and sped into the forest after his love.
It was quite easy for Pallaton in the tree's, most of his dashes were in the forest, because he prefered running with obsticles, so he started to gallop at Hania's side, he didn't want to stay in that position for long, sense it was hard to dodge so close to eachother. Nipping at the other stallion, he jumped away, while dodging a tree at the same time. "You told me to tag you! " He neighed, before sprinting between the trees, leaping over bushes and bounding away from trees, heck he was getting used to this.
Mahiri's home was in the forest it is where she had been born and brought up. She knew how to get around things as easily as a bird would fly in the sky. She kept quiet and though her hoves made some noise it wasn't much, soon she would be ahead of them and would move silently. She loved hiding in the forest it was the best place to play games because if you knew how, hiding was easy!
Hania rolled his eyes, and smirked. "Of course I did! I just didn't expect to be chasing you guys in the trees!!" He was getting a little lost. He was used to open areas, and only went into the forest to hide before he met his human. "Okay..." he muttered to himself. "I guess listening would be best." Stopping, he closed his eyes and perked up his ears. He'd have to draw them out by listening, then. As he listened, he could hear the regular chatter of birds, raccoons, and foxes, a few wolves in the distance, some bugs, and then, the soft "patta-pat" of hooves. Grinning to himself, he followed the sound.
Palla grinned, trotting along the forest, purpously forking a bit away from the other two, before stopping dead in his tracks, looking down, there were paw prints there, he coulden't tell of what, but they were a little large for your normal little woodland palls. Hopefully the creature that made them wasen't around, while he investigated with his ears. Deciding nothing was there, he resumed running.
Mahiri had slowed to a walk now, she was making no noise as she had learnt to be silent as a foal on her own. She could have been hunted if she hadn't learnt to be silent though some predators thought she was an oversized fox and that was amusing! She was happynow though, she had turned so that she was watching Hania, she was silent however and well hidden so this would be amusing!
Hania stopped when he couldn't hear the "patta-pat" of hooves hitting the ground softly. He reared suddenly when a few small foxes jumped out and then scattered away. Shaking a bit, and chuckling softly at his silliness, he looked around. It was a little dark in the forest, and he couldn't scent Mahiri or Pallaton. He did, however, get a foreboding feeling, like there was a predator lurking about. With that feeling, he hurried to try and find both Soquili, deciding not to call out their names so that it wouldn't attract attention.
He could see Hania through slight glimpses of trees, but remained compleetly still behind the trees that separated them to not cause noise, before running directly behind Hania, and continuing on, hoping to confuse the other stallion.

...End of Roleplay...

Hania and Mahiri Show Off Their Offspring in Baskets
Hania yawned as he trotted out into the forest, blinking as the sunlight invaded his sight and senses. Grimacing, but nonetheless fully awake now, he whinnied quietly, attempting to wake his bonded. C'mon, Miakoda! I'm anxious to meet up with my mate! Hania had been worried about Mahiri since their walk at the clearing a few weeks back. Had he been a little too rough? He hoped not. Whinnying again, louder this time, he stomped his hoof impatiently.
"Okay, okay!" said a tired, female voice. "Hania, I need my sleep, too, you know!" Miakoda yawned and walked out, black hair in a slight disarray. Annoyed, Miakoda quickly washed up and then returned to her Soquili's side. "Okay, Hania. Lead the way to your mate's teepee. I haven't even met your mate's bonded yet!" Muttering, Miakoda allowed Hania to take the lead. He's just worried, he's just worried, he's just worried... she ranted in her mind. She was most definitely NOT a morning person.
Mahiri laughed happily as she ran around the area near her teepee. Her human, Lalit agreed to play tag with her again like they did when they first met. Can't catch me! She yelled happily to him, running faster when he got a little bit closer to her. The Soquili then stopped suddently in her tracks and ran towards him, nipping his flaming red hair.
Lalit breathed in heavily as he chased around his Soquili. He didn't understand how she could have so much energy, and never be tired. "Slow down, dear Mahiri. You're going to make me pass out!" He yelled back at her jokily. The young boy's eyes grew wide as she came running in his direction, and he ducked...but she still managed to get his hair. "Hey! Stupid Soquili...let go!" He shouted.
Kaliska was happy, she had tamed the grey stallion enough to be able to ride him. He was a frisky animal but she sat upright on his back as they galloped past her brother and nearer to Mahiri. The girl said nothing as she normally said nothing. She couldn't speak, never had been able to, not properly anyway.
Swafi was happy catching up with Mahiri, he wasn't keen on anyone riding him but he would allow Kaliska as she found him and looked after him since he was tiny, they were family and it was great. "Hey Mahiri wait up!" He huckled as he went after her,in his eyes Mahiri was like a mother, she was always there ever since he emerged from the basket!
Hania chuckled as his bonded patted his back and then with an eazy gait of one who usually rode a horse, swung on his back. He felt her pat him on the neck, an indication that he could go on as he pleased. Hania stepped gingerly so that Miakoda wouldn't fall off his back. He felt the slight gripping of her legs and a tightening in his mane, however, so he broke into a full gallop through the forest. Try to stop me now, Miakoda! Hania thought, smiling.
Pricking his ears forward, Hania could hear laughter, both of those of Soquili and humans. Eagerly, Hania scented the air since he recognized Mahiri's voice, and now he caught her wondrous scent. He whinnid cheerfully, and charged toward where he heard the sounds. Hold on tight, Miakoda!!! He grinned to himself as he felt Miakoda grab onto him hard.

"Oh no. Hania, slow down! We're in the forest--I'll get my head smacked into one of those branches!!" Miakoda cried as her golden colored Soquili dashed madly into the green colored area. She could now hear laughter and neighing, and she wondered to herself just where exactly Hania was taking her. "Hania, where are you taking me this early in the morning!?" She had a feeling it was so Hania could meet with his mate... but she had yet to see her, this mate of her stallion.
Laughing as Swafi tried to catch up to her, the fox soquili ran even faster. "Come on, Swafi! Run faster!" Mahiri yelled to him, turning her head as she ran so she could watch him run. Just then her mate's scent filled her nose and she grinned. "Hania's coming!" Mahiri told Swafi.
Rolling his eyes, the young indian boy stopped chasing the fox colored mare. It was useless...there was no way he was ever going to catch up to her. Instead, he sat down on the hard ground and watched his sister and Swafi try to catch Mahiri. Good luck... He thought to himself.
Swafi snorted, "Oh just you wait!" He laughed as she slowed down to announce that her mate was coming. "ooo prince charming coming down to meet the commoners now is he?" He was sarcastic as he spoke but he chuckled happily and then nickered as he felt a nuzzling from the girl on his back.
She sat up as the stopped, tilting her head she could hear the thundering of hooves. She had acute hearing and all her senses were amazing as she had once been a feral child, she was definatly more feline then human!
Hania soon met up with Mahiri and Swafi, snorting slightly at Swafi though warmly, as he considered Swafi a good friend of Mahiri's... or rather, something like a son, he supposed. "Mahiri!!!" Hania greeted loudly, waking up his bonded. Snorting, he laughed as Miakoda jumped off of him as he slowed to meet his mate and her foster son. "How does it go?" Hania asked, smiling.
Miakoda jumped awake when Hania neighed loudly. Scolding him slightly, she then spotted a girl on a grey stallion's back along with a fox-colored mare whom she immediately recognized as Hania's mate. She waved to the girl on the stallion's back, and smiled. She wondered if all these beautiful Soquili belonged to the girl...When her mate came into view, the fox colored mare laughed happily. "Hania!" She yelled, running up to him and nuzzled him playfully. "I'm fine...we were all just playing a nice game of chase!" She said to him, pointing out Swafi, Kaliska and Lalit. "And how are you, Hania?" She then turned back to Swafi. "Come over here and say hello, silly!" She laughed.
"Hey!" Lalit yelled to a new girl who was with Mahiri's mate. He didn't want to move from his sitting spot, so he just sat there as he spoke. Lalit noticed that she was looking at Kaliska, his sister and didn't know exactly how she'd act. Chuckling slightly as the young boy watched Mahiri and Hania greet eachother, he waited for the older girl to respond.
Swafi reared up onto his hind legs as the other human spoke to his own. He knew what Kaliska was like with others and even though Swafi wished to go over to Mahiri and Hania he had to give them a weak smile, "Sorry guys. I am gonna follow Kaliska, she.. well.. yeah." Mahiri would know what he meant.
Kaliska just ignored the other and turned to look at her brother. she only spoke to him adn through sign language to her friend. However right now she would go grab her friend, maybe? No first she would wait and see what this other person wanted.
Hania whickered to Mahiri and Swafi, glancing at the girl atop Swafi's back. "Hm?" he didn't quite catch what the grey stallion was saying, but understood that Mahiri would, and he hoped she would explain. Hania quirked an ear at his bonded, and then nuzzled his beloved mate. "So, my fox-colored beauty, how are you? And Swafi! I thought you didn't like humans!" Hania chuckled gently, but nonetheless nodded to Swafi. "It's good to see you." He watched as Miakoda noticed the human boy, and also realized that Mahiri's humans were younger than his. Odd... he thought, but shrugged it off.
Miakoda glanced over at the girl atop the grey stallion's back before she heard a young boy's voice. "Hi!" she turned and smiled at the younger boy. "I'm Miakoda. Who are you? Hania introduced me to your fox-colored mare, but I never got the name!" She approached the boy with a friendly smile. "And I also know that your mare's probably introduced my dark-tanned stallion, but his name is Hania." Miakoda sighed to herself as she finished introductions, but smiled nonetheless at both the girl and the boy. "Siblings?" she asked, with a raised eyebrow.
Mahiri nodded in understanding to Swafi. She knew what he had to do, and she didn't mind. "Alright, dear one." The fox colored mare said to the stallion. Turning back to Hania, she laughed and nuzzled him back softly. "I'm fine, love. Having fun with my humans. And how about you?" She asked him, giggling slightly.
Lalit glanced from his sister to the new girl, and sighed. The young boy was curious as to why she didn't run off yet. Maybe it was to see who the other girl was like. Grinning at Kaliska, he stood up when the older new gril approached him. "My sister and I don't give our names away to people we don't know." Lalit said with a rather odd smile, glancing at his sister. "Our Soquili is named Mahiri, and the gray one is Swafi. It's great to finally meet Mahiri's mate." Something about this girl was strange to the young boy, but what? "Well we are half siblings if that counts."
Swafi wasn't going to be staying around for too long, he could feel Kaliska on his back tensing a bit. The way she moved on his back always let him know how she was feeling, that and she had a strange way of communicating with animals, Swafi especially. He was happy and content with her on his back. Trotting around behind Lalit, Swafi was able to watch the strange girl. He wasn't trusting with strange humans evenm if it was Hania's human.
Kaliska listened to what was said and smiled as her brother didn't give out there names. Kaliska especially was untrusting and she had spent her time running from alot of people. She however started singing as Swafi moved, she had a beautiful voice, it had a calming essence to it. She could sing, despite not being able to talk, things were really strange with that girl.
"Half siblings...? Mahiri and Swafi, is it? A pleasure." Miakoda could understand why the two younger children weren't very trusting. Heck, if she was living all by herself with only the company of a mute girl and Soquilis--add to that probably running away from cruel people--she'd probably lash out at others, rather than sit and observe like these two.
It was also a bit unnerving when Swafi also turned to look at her unblinkingly. "Um... sorry..." she murmured, and backed away, before suddenly tripping over something. "Waaaah!" Rubbing her head, she stood and turned to see what she tripped upon. A basket? She was sure it handn't been there before...

Hania smiled and nuzzled his mate. "Aye, same here. Of course, my human might scare off yours, considering the cautious tension in their bodies." Hania eyed the boy and the girl upon Swafi's back, worried his bonded wouldn't make friends.
She wasn't good at it, merely because she was one of few outcasts of her village, still acknowledged, but spat upon and blamed for many things. "Miakoda's had a rough time of it, lately," Hania said quietly.
Suddenly, hearing a startled, soft scream, Hania turned to see Miakoda trip over... a brown basket. "Hm? Mahiri, look!" Hania quickly trotted over to his bonded and began to nose the basket.

Mahiri watched her and Hania's humans, wanting everything to be ok between them. The mare loved it when everyone got along like family, because it made things a whole lot more fun. The fox colored mare then turned to watch Swafi for a few moments, smiling at him.
Happily, Mahiri nuzzled Hania back. "Oh I wouldn't worry about that...really." She said softly to him, but wasn't sure if that was the truth. "I'm sure your Miakoda will satisfy my humans in time and they will become friends." Hearing the scream as well, the fox colored mare followed her mate. "Oh! Wow!" She exclaimed, staring directly at the basket.

Listening to his sister sing made Lalit grin, and he felt a whole lot better about the situation he was in. He glared at Miakoda with a content look on his face, not saying anything to anyone. The young boy didn't want to make things worse...so he just sat there again. Looking at what the older girl tripped over, he laughed. He had spotted that basket before she arrived, as well as the two laying near the one she found. Lalit looked towards Swafi and Kaliska, wondering what they were going to do.
Kaliska knew exactly what she was going to do with her basket. She had also known that the baskets were there but right now she led Swafi over to them. Gave a few signals to her brother saying she would go for a little, bring someone back. She wanted to give her basket away. She made more signals to show that no one must touch a certain basket.
Swafi was trotting in random directions as Kaliska was asking him to and in not too long they were galloping towards the beach where they came across a teepee that Kaliska visited regulary. Swafi waited outside as the mute girl walked in to see her friend.
Kaliska jumped off Swafi and walked into the Teepee where she saw a girl. She grabbed her by the hand and dragged her outside, pointing for her to get onto Swafi. She wanted to show her something and told the girl so.
The young girl was happily sitting in her teepee, staring into space when she recognised the face of her friend. Smiling sweetly, she stood as Kaliska motioned her to. As the young girl grabbed her by the hand, she ran out, curious, and a little confused as to what was happening. Dark eyes glanced to her friend. "What is it, Kaliska?" She said gently. "Get onto Swafi? You sure?" She said quietly, propping herself against the horse to get on.
Kaliska smiled and pushed the girl till she got on Swafi's back. Once she was up she grabbed hold of Swafi's mane and flung herself up behind her friend. She then put her heels in Swafi's side gently and let him take them back.
Swafi was annoyed at having someone else on his back and was a little edgy on how he stepped, he didn't like carrying people unless they were Kaliska but he carried them back quickly and once they were standing infront of the three baskets again he made it perfectly clear he wanted the strange girl off his back.
The young boy nodded to his sister and watched her go off to get someone. He knew that she wanted to give a certain basket away to that one friend of hers. Grinning, he turned back to Miakoda. "The basket you tripped over is yours." He said calmly to her, and walked over to the other two. "This one..." Lalit pointed to the one with a white stripe, "Is mine and the other one is going to a friend of my sisters." The young boy stared at her, waiting for her to agree with what he and Kaliska had already decided.
"I... what?" Miakoda couldn't believe her ears. These baskets... held the babies of Hania and Mahiri! Smiling her joy, Miakoda picked up the basket she'd tripped over reverantly and then beckoned to Hania to come and inspect the basket a little closer. She watched as the grey stallion took off at the girl's command. I wonder...
Hania snuffled the brown basket that Miakoda had picked up carefully, and then blinked when he realized that his and Mahiri's scent was mixed together from this basket... as well as the other two baskets. Whickering in delight, Hania quickly returned to Mahiri's side to nuzzle his affection for her. "Mahiri! You didn't tell me I was to become a soon-to-be father!" Hania told her happily.
The fox colored mare smiled as she watched her mate's reaction to the three baskets. They were parents now, and Mahiri and overly excited. With as much affection as Hania, she nuzzled him back. "I wanted to keep it a secret for a little bit, to make the surprise more...surprising!" She told him, laughing.
Swafi arrived back with the two girls on his back. He was still fidgeting alot and obviously irratated at the way he was being treated, two girls on his back, thats wrong, Kaliska ok but another?? He snorted as he reached the Teepee and was happy to let the two girls get off his back.
Kaliska slid of Swafi's back and ran over to pick up the basket that she had claimed as hers. She took it over to her friend and gave it to her, with a few signs letting her know that she was to keep it. She then petted Swafi's head and kissed his nose.
The young boy stared at Mahiri and Hania as they admired their new baskets. A smile came over his face, wanting the one he took to hatch. Lalit needed a friend, like everyone else here had one. Sure Mahiri was his Soquili, but he shared her with Kaliska, and they weren't always together. The young indian boy needed someone to be there for him, no matter what. Sighing, he watched his sister, her horse and her friend return.
Sliding off Swafis back, she landed gently on the ground, crouching for a moment before standing up. She looked curiously to Kaliska and the three baskets. The ebony haired girl was stunned for a moment, arms outstretched and holding the basket tightly. "Mine?" She mumbled, dark eyes wide. Leaning foward, she smiled to her friend warmly. "T-thankyou..." She said quietly. She was almost lost for words, clutching the basket fondly, all she could do was smile sweetly.
Miakoda watched as the other girl on Swafi's back returned with another girl. I suppose I'm the lone one, aren't I? she mused with a humorless smile. Returning her gaze to the basket that Hania was currently investigating--hers--she let her eyes rove around. What should I name the foal that comes up out of that basket? I wonder if it'll be a colt... Well, if it's a filly, I have good names for either one. More cheerful now, Miakoda sat down against a tree, and closed her eyes. She felt more relaxed now... plus, Hania was now a soon-to-be proud father, as Mahiri probably was already.
"I cannot wait until they come out of their baskets, love." Mahiri nuzzled Hania again, filled with obvious excitement. "I hope they love to run, wouldn't that be so much fun? We could have the whole family play a nice game of chase!" The mare neighed in delight, very unpatient with the fact that her children weren't exactly here yet. "Oh Hania, can you make them come faster? I want my babies!" Mahiri laughed happily, and watched the three humans as they oogled over her children. Turning to Swafi, she asked, "Are you excited? You're going to be an uncle, or a brother...whichever way you want to look at it!"
Deciding it was best to be polite, the young boy wandered over to Miakode with an emotionless look on his face. "What are you going to name the horse that comes out of your basket? If the one I've chosen is a colt, I'm naming him Bairn." Lalit looked at the older girl, carefully...wanting to trust her, but he knew that Kaliska wouldn't approve of it right away. Lalit watched his sister's friends reaction to the basket, and smiled. If Kaliska trusted her with the horse, he had to trust her too.
"I'd have to ask of you the same thing, Hiri!" Hania whickered teasingly. "You're the mother--make our babies come faster!" He laughed happily as he listened for Swafi's answer while watching Miakoda interact with Mahiri's and Swafi's humans. Those humans acted cold toward Miakoda... just like her tribe did to her and him. Snorting quietly with frustration, Hania turned his thoughts to happier ones. "What, ho? Orchu, my little Wind Soquili brother, is to be an uncle as well! Have you met Orchu? Ah, and it would be delightful if our children loved to run as we did!" Hania stomped his forehoof for emphasis as he whinnied a cry of happiness.
Miakoda smiled tightly at the boy. "Um... well, if I get a filly, I'd name mine Aruna. Bairn seems to be excellent for a colt!" Miakoda figured it was better to be polite instead of snapping like she had done in her tribe, which had gotten her kicked out. She blinked as she listened to Hania's whinny of happiness. She smiled and went to pat him on his back. Boy, were these Soquili tall and magnificent. Mahiri was just delightful, and Swafi... well, Miakoda couldn't give a good enough description for the stallion. "What about your sister? I see she's brought a friend. And soon to be happy one, at that," she said to the boy.
"Aruna's a nice name." The young boy grinned, and he meant it. This girl was turning out to be a trustworthy person. Lalit would have to tell Kaliska that he wanted befriend her. Mahiri and Hania seemed to be overly excited about their new baskets, and it made Lalit happy. "My sister? I don't know, it's really up to her friend, and I'm not to familiar with that girl. But it's alright, if my sister trusts her, I do."
...End of Roleplay...

Hania Meets Alona's Son Moki
Moki's dark brown eyes danced across the valley. He snickered to himself slightly. The herd was still asleep and no one had noticed he had disappeared. He gave a little agile dance as he pranced around on the small hill, not knowing it used to his mothers favorite spot. He spotted a small blue jay and followed only to stop for a few minutes to n** at the grass.
He yawned slightly as he trotted out. Hm... this place looked familiar... Oh yes. He smiled. This was where he'd met Alona and Loki! Of course! He continued on, before noticing a colt. What's the little guy doing out by himself? Where's his mother? Had Hania actually thought about the colt's scent, he'd have been quite joyous. But alas, Hania is not as sharp as his daughter, but he does walk up to the colt. "Hello, there," he said, speaking softly.
Moki stumbled abit from being startled. He looked at the large stallion that stood over him. Oh no........ I hope father didn't send him Moki thought, but than again he didn't recongize him from the herd. He looked around and than back at the stallion, with his large dark chocolate eyes gazing at him. "Hello" he said with a little of tremble in his voice.
Hania smiled down at the colt. "If I scare you, it's only because I'm an old stallion," he joked. "Do you belong to anyone?" He wasn't sure, but the colt reminded him of someone. "I'm Hania, little one. What's your name?" Looking back and forth, he bent down and whispered, "Lucky you met me, and not my daughter! She's... very strange..." He chuckled then. "Just kidding."
Moki stared at the stallion. He was certainly. Different. Nothing like what his father that was for certain.
"My name is Moki, and I belong to a herd, my momma is the one in charge, I call her momma, but they call her Alona." Moki said with a nod. He gave a little prance but than remembered what his momma had told him. "It is nice to meet you mister Hania" he said giving another small nod.

Hania blinked, and then laughed heartily. "So you're Alona's son! Wonderful! Which means you have Cyrus as a father. I'm sorry you have such a... well... you know. A pleasure to meet you, Moki." Hania could only smile. Moki certainly resembled Cyrus, but Alona a lot more. He hoped his adopted sister was all right. "I'm a friend of your mother's. I know of your father, but not much."
His mouth hung open. "You know my mom, and dad" Moki stared at him with bewidlerment. He didn't think his mom knew anyone but the members of the herd. He was in utter shock at the stallion.
Hania snorted, trying to hide his laughter. "Yes, I know both your parents. It's quite a small world, Moki. I didn't know, however, that your parents made a herd. I suppose I should start one myself..." Hania brooded on that, but decided that more than likely, his mate Mahiri would end up being leader, he being a subordinate. He had to laugh at that. "Well, maybe not. A herd sounds like it's far too much trouble. I doubt my children would wish to be tied down to such a thing. Now, tell me about yourself!"
"You didn't know that they had a herd" Moki said with a little bit of face, he thought everyone knew the herd, "but yep momma and dad are always busy with the herd, sometimes I think we take up too much time for them" Moki looking at the ground remembering the last incident with his sister.
He looked at the stallion and back at the ground again. What was there to say about him. "I'm the oldest, I have two other sisters, one of them is mean, and the other she is a little silly" he said giving a small nod to confirm the info to himself. "But we still have fun, but I'm not suppose to be here, but I snuck away when momma wasn't looking, normally its Cynara who wanders away, but I'm tired of her always sneaking away and getting me in trouble" he said looking at the ground again.

"I'm so sorry," Hania said with sincerety. His children never had to deal with that, although they all did fight a little--just a little--from time to time. He smiled. "You're almost like my son, Bairn. Bairn's the middle child, while my daughter, Aruna, is the eldest. The youngest is Artemis. They're all completely different from their parents." He sniffed, slightly miffed to know that all his children got exasperated with him sometimes. "Well, I won't let you get in trouble this time." He winked.
"After all, you met me--how can Alona and Cyrus say you got in trouble? I was here after all!" He chuckled. "Unless you want to play hide and seek just to escape from me... but I do believe tag's far better. Which do you want to play?" He hadn't played in such a long time. He also missed Mahiri, and Aruna, who lived with him, didn't come around often enough to chat with him. He usually was away with Miakoda, and often times he caught his daughter leaving at night to wander around. He wondered about her sometimes.
But back to Moki. "Well, Moki?"
