Jūbantai-Taichō   A sense of accomplishment washed over Eriko as she felt the gynoid go down under her but it backtracked when the other female did not hit the floor as expected. Steady, Eriko tumbled away from her as she twisted away from her. She looked back at Tsukiko just in time to feel her leg pushing Eriko in closer. With a vague idea of what was coming, Eriko ducked at the sight of the extended arm, crunched low to launch a kick at both her solar plexus and knees before standing to end with a high kick at the neck from behind her. "If I have to die, then so be it." She knew it was a stupid thing to say but what better motivation was there than wanting to stay alive?

Jūnibantai Taichō A momentary distraction caused by an image of Elisia in her head caused the gynoid to miscalculate the hits and take all three of them. The first two did very little. As she had no specific nerves to speak of, Tsukiko merely glanced down, lost in thought, as this kick came at her and struck her in the stomach, probably doing more damage to Eriko than herself. The kick to her knees did little just the same, as she had no need to toughen her body upon impact and it was best she didn't, lest Eriko crack open her foot on Tsukiko's skeleton. Tsukiko thought Eriko should probably count her blessings that she hadn't asked of this spar a day before when her skin, the only padding around her chassis, wasn't even applied. This spar might have gone a lot differently and probably ended with the first hit. Tsukiko barely turned her head before she was struck in the neck, not because she didn't have the time to react, but that she was a little too preoccupied to react accordingly. The kick to her neck jolted her forward, but she remained standing still.
"Please don't ruin this skin, I just put it on..." She remarked, turning to face Eriko as she touched the back of her neck for any tears in the material. Her heart fell a little hearing Eriko say such a thing, well, it was but a mere feeling she had given her lack of a heart. She was an automaton with feelings and nerve receptors for temperature, her skin could bleed and sweat and genuinely smell, but she had a lack of proper organs and what not. "That's a bit silly, don't you think? Would your husband not feel sad about you dying? And really, dying in a spar? But that's just... such a waste. Such a silly thing to say." As usual she was under the opinion that Lee and Eriko were married and despite the obviousness that they were not, she decided upon it anyway. It was funny when she actually got down to it and thought about it, Tsukiko didn't actually care if they got together, she simply wasn't good friends with them so it didn't matter all that much to her because she wasn't incredibly girly. Still, part of her held a grudge against Lee for bad mouthing Hei and being so at ease with it and by extension, Eriko was held in that regard of dislike as well. Her speaking of them as though they were married was her personal insult, albeit it was terrible, but then again she was a child sometimes, what more could be expected of her?
Fading from sight, Tsukiko appeared beneath her, standing on her feet, upside down, to the extent that the bottoms of her feet were touching the bottoms of Eriko's tabi. After crouching low and building up strength in her legs in about a second, she performed a Shukuchi Mukyō, allowing the shock wave of the foot technique to throw Eriko into the ceiling with high force as Tsukiko propelled herself to the ground, flipping over and landing softly on the ground. As soon as she landed, she switched her sight to heat vision, located Eriko amidst the dust created if Eriko hit the ceiling, and then launched herself in the air again. Once she was near Eriko, Tsukiko lifted her leg high into the air and brought it down upon the girl's left ******** yeah! My inspiration is back baby~] ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪

Jūbantai-Taichō Eriko blinked oddly at Tsukiko's lack of an effort to block her oncoming kicks but then came the pain as they connected. She watched her intently, taking the pain as it came and making a note to harden her body with a reiatsu covering before attempting such a thing again.
"Of course, it's silly," she replied only to the first question, not bothering with a verbal response for the others and putting more attention towards the movements of the other female. Eriko was sure about her desire to die alone when that time came so who ever this "husband" that Tsukiko was referring to was a fignment of her imagination obviously. Her eyes had been on her, that was a given as well but for a few seconds, the gynoid was nowhere to be seen until her reappearance just under her body. The reaction time was even less as suddenly the young Taicho felt herself being thrown upwards with exceptional force. Fortunately, her released reiryoku took most of the damage but that only deepened the sink of the crater caused by the launch.
Switching her mind to work automatically, Eriko propelled her body back down to where she assumed Tsukiko was amongst all the flying particles in the air. She hardened her body even more to take the oncoming damage when Tsukiko flew into her line of vision and the leg began swinging at her. Her lower arms crossed to block it. The impact did hurt but she was already countering with a twist of her own body, hands on the other girl's leg. The Taicho's right leg pulled in and let go with the intent of punching Tsukiko's collar bone with the sole of that foot. Even if she did not make the hit, her body continued the flip over her and Eriko stood next to her.

Elisia carefully and quietly entered the room, looking at her surroundings in surprise. For a second, the silver-haired girl blinked several times at the expanse of white that greeted her eyes. Unfortunately, this room was not going to help her one bit as the monotonous colour meant that she had to concentrate on the two figures that were fighting. To tell the truth, when she had left in a bid to get Tsukiko to open up more, fighting hadn’t exactly been the ideal setting in her mind. Finally lifting her eyes to the figures, she made out Eriko and Tsukiko. As she attempted to divert her gaze to look at something else, she gave up. It seemed as if Yuki hadn’t gotten here yet, so she might as well interrupt them now. Moving closer to the two Shinigami there, she stood at a safe distance, so that their attacks wouldn’t hit her. It wouldn’t be good to get hit and faint or something like that. “Eriko, T-Tsukiko,” she cursed herself for stammering Tsukiko’s name as her cheeks flushed red again, “How’s the…um…training going?” ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬

Jūnibantai Taichō Elisia's appearance, while it made Tsukiko very happy, was ill-timed. Hearing her voice made her stop cold and turn in her direction and Eriko struck her collarbone, something she didn't even react to with so much as a flinch. She looked down at the girl she had unknowlingly fallen in love with and noted how her hair had been dyed and her eyes were somehow different, how that had happened was something she'd inquire later. Her hair was a pure as freshly fallen snow and her eyes a deep green that she could make out from this distance by telescoping her eyes. To Tsukiko, Elisia looked stunning, more beautiful than before, something she had not realized was possible. She was so captivated by sudden change in Elisia that she unconsciously slipped into Bankai, covering herself with a cloak that materialized due to the release.
Her Reiatsu spiked as she stared down at the girl, and suddenly, her arm lifted into the air, and snapped back, her elbow being aimed directly at the top of her nose, just before the forehead. Her strike was heavily augmented by repulsion gravity and her strength by itself could knock her silly, thus the Bankai augmented strike could definitely knock her out and send her flying into the wall. As though she had no idea this had occurred, Tsukiko floated to the ground and approached Elisia, taking a great care to register her movements and habits at this moment. As she moved towards her, the cloak began to fall apart as she unconsciously sealed her Bankai; the fabric seemed to fall off as though it had been shredded and had been held together by tape, then disappear as though it had never been there to begin with.
It appeared something was troubling her friend, and like a good friend, she intended to find out what exactly that was. Once she was close enough and the cloak was gone, she slipped her hands under Elisia's, letting the warmth of her body flow into her. Unlike Elisia, she had dominated her feelings to the point that she wouldn't freak out when she was close; just now was a different story because she looked so different. "You look absolutely stunning... but is there something wrong? Do you need a hug, or someone to talk to?" She smiled and touched her own forehead to hers in a way to just let her know that Tsukiko was there for her. Given Elisia's height of 5'10" two inches taller than Tsukiko, she had to stand on her toes to reach. ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪

☇【ｓｑｕａｄxｆｏｕｒxＣＡＰＴＡＩＮ】 Elisia’s eyes opened wide when Tsukiko’s Reiatsu spiked. Uh-oh. This was not good at all. Was Tsukiko absolutely mad? For a second, she completely forgot about the fact that she was in the same room as a girl that she had a crush on, as her worry and anxiety for Eriko drastically increased. Wincing slightly, she closed her eyes, not really wanting to see the damage that Tsukiko had done to Eriko. What had happened? Usually, Tsukiko would have held herself back in training, right? This was absolutely crazy and weird. Everything had been going strangely ever since their feelings took a hold of each other. Time passed slowly and she eventually felt somebody slip their hands underneath hers, so she opened her eyes once more, only to find the fact that Tsukiko was much closer than before. While it was rather good to have Tsukiko near, it did nothing for her emotions which went wild. Her cheeks flushed and she began rather flustered, even more when Tsukiko touched her forehead to hers. It was a nice gesture, since it showed the fact that she still had people that were around her. However, a puzzled expression appeared on her face as she noticed the fact that Tsukiko had no cloak on anymore. Maybe it was part of her Bankai or something like that?
Looking into Tsukiko’s eyes, she had to avert her gaze as she was not entirely prepared for that. She took in several deep breaths, before calming herself down and smiling back at her friend. “No, I’m good,” her voice miraculously did not waver and she didn’t stammer as she continued on, “Thanks for your concern though.” For a short while, she was simply content to stare at Tsukiko. A few seconds later, however, she remembered Eriko and the fact that Tsukiko had used her Bankai on the girl. As a healer, it was her duty to see what happened to her other friend. Patting Tsukiko’s head, she bobbed a quick curtsy for no apparent reason, saying, “Anyway, I’d better see what happened to Eriko…I think she might have been thrown pretty far.” She had been about to move towards Eriko, when images of Hideki and Yuki teasing her about it re-emerged into her mind. Her cheeks began to blush furiously again and she found herself fumbling and suddenly clumsy. Unfortunately, she was unable to control herself this time and instead, she tripped over her own feet. She was unable to halt her fall but as she fell into Tsukiko, her lips accidentally brushed Tsukiko’s lips. ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬

Jūnibantai Taichō She was unable to take Elisia's answer at face value; something was obviously wrong and she didn't need an IQ of 195 to know that. Once she had gotten close, her emotions had run wild and Tsukiko could only guess that she was embarrassed that Tsukiko had kissed her a while ago. Watching the girl with careful interest, Tsukiko was all but shocked when Elisa suddenly tripped forward, causing their lips to meet for a second time. When talking about it later, Tsukiko would certainly admit that she had enjoyed it and her only regret was that it hadn't lasted longer. The kiss itself, if one could call it that, distracted her long enough to accidentally override her auto-balance feature, preventing her from instantly shifting her weight to catch both of them. As she fell backwards, she put Elisia as her first priority, grabbing onto her upper arms to stabilize her fall as Tsukiko's back hit the ground. They landed in an awkward postion, consisting of Elisia more or less straddling Tsukiko's legs who was now sitting upright as she released Elisia's arms, allowing her to gently fall onto her own chest.
Tsukiko's left hand went to Elisia's forehead. "Elisia. You're burning up, you're flushed, you won't look me in the eye and you seem jittery. Please... tell me what's wrong, I don't want to think you're this way because of something I did... I..." She stopped short, brushing Elisia's white hair out of her face and tucking it behind her left ear before dropping her hand to her side and allowing Elisia to run off if she wished to do so. "I don't want to be a burden to you... I'm sorry if my kiss upset you. I just, I don't know what came over me. I think... I might like you a little bit more than I had intended..." She fell silent, turning red in the cheeks as she stared into Elisia's eyes for the umpteenth time today. A moment passed and she turned her head away, looking towards anything that might distract her. Nothing. "Just... never mind. Forget I said anything... Go... treat Eriko if you have to... I'm sorry I even brought it up..." ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪

☇【ｓｑｕａｄxｆｏｕｒxＣＡＰＴＡＩＮ】 Elisia winced slightly as Tsukiko fell down with her. She had been hoping that her mistake could somehow be rectified since it was extremely mortifying to keep on tripping around people. Alright, maybe it wasn’t people in general but she couldn’t afford to be distracted during the upcoming fight. It was a risk that she couldn’t take, especially since she was the only healer around, if one didn’t count Yuki. She found herself in a rather awkward position and as Tsukiko released her arms, she was unable to stop herself from falling into Tsukiko’s chest. This was a situation that she was hoping that she would never get herself into, but it seemed like she couldn’t keep on avoiding her feelings as they seemed to always catch up with her. What to do? As Tsukiko brushed her hair away, Elisia felt a tingle where Tsukiko’s fingers had touched her and she attempted to sort out herself.
She was a tangle of emotions at the moment and while she wanted to reach out to Tsukiko for some comfort, to be perfectly honest, she was still afraid of pure harsh rejection. Her mind was overloading at the moment and she could not see any way out of this. However, as Tsukiko talked, Elisia slowly absorbed everything, processing it much slower than usual. She might be hearing things wrong…had she just heard that Tsukiko liked her too? Maybe she was hallucinating or something like that. No, that was real. Her eyes widened while her mouth gaped open. As Tsukiko turned away her head, Elisia clumsily positioned herself so that she could see Tsukiko’s head again. Placing her hands on Tsukiko’s face, she smiled, seeming more calm and composed than before. “Don’t be sorry for anything, Tsuki, I think I might like you a little more than I intended too,” she quietly said in a lilting voice, before moving in closer. She kissed Tsukiko gently although much more deeply than the light accidental brush of their lips before. ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬

Jūnibantai Taichō Ears perking at Elisia's last words, her gaze fell on Elisia's face as she kissed her for real this time. Overloaded with shock at this revelation, she fell onto her back, grabbing onto Elisia's neck to try and stabilize herself but doing no more than pulling her down with her. "W-hat..." Her words were quickly stifled by Elisia's mouth, as she released her inhibitions and her body moved on it's own. Her right hand moved to her cheek and her left went to her back and she hugged her closer, pressing her lips into hers and relishing this moment that she had been waiting for a while now. The sudden rush of warmth from such a small girl's body was nearly driving Tsukiko mad; she hadn't had such contact since she was but a child and would curl up in her father's lap and fall asleep as he read documents, one of many memories she had managed to retrieve from Hei's personal computer. Such memories having been erased and stored on his computer after she was remade.
A few seconds that felt like hours passed, she kept her rhythm, then finally pulled away from Elisia, staring deep into her sparkling green eyes that she almost got lost in. "That... well that was... surprising... Very good, but surprising. You... you really like me? That's such a relief, I thought you were mad at me for stealing what was probably your first kiss..." Wiping her cheek with her thumb, Tsukiko kissed her again before dropping her head onto the floor and looking towards her forehead as far as she could, dropping her gaze on the area Eriko had been thrown. "Eli, as much as I am enjoying this position and your lips at the moment... perhaps you should attend to Eriko... I don't think she can go too much longer without medical care..." Though she said this, she unintentionally held Elisia in place as she stared into her face again. Finally, after kissing her once more, she sat up and hoisted Elisia's body with her own strength, not needing much on the petite girl and pulled both of them to their feet. Reluctantly, Tsukiko released the girl, dropping her arms to her side and instantly feeling a sense of emptiness generated from no longer touching her. Suppressing this feeling, Tsukiko looked up at Eriko and blinked. ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪

┗xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx┛ With two of his fingers still resting in the groove of the door's handle after he had opened it to allow himself access, Aurelius stopped dead in his tracks when he finally lifted his head and saw the last thing he had expected to see. As he had been walking, he had kept his gaze towards the ground, only looking up to find the indention of the door's handle, then casting his gaze back down once he had entered. A noise, rather the sound of kissing reached his ears, causing the young man to look up and take in a sight that he had yet to see in all of his years; Elisia was straddling his mistress and they were currently locking lips for the moment. Not one for public displays of affection, Aurelius' cheeks turned red quickly until it spread to his entire face; he literally felt hot from embarrassment. To him, this event was unprecedented, he had only come to see how Tsukiko was faring, he certainly did not come to see her having relations with another, especially not a woman.
Sure, Aurelius could have any question he wanted answered and now he could read any mind at whim, aside from Tsukiko's given Hei's device inside her head, but he was not so clairvoyant that the information he received was in real time. With his power, there was always a delay as the information went through the proper channels, not to mention he had to actually ask about it, and he had had no reason to suddenly ask "Hey, when am I going to find out my mistress is a lesbian?" His gaze quickly darted away, and he turned abruptly, exiting the room in one sweeping motion, slamming the door behind him. Once outside, he began a swift, but nervous walk to anywhere but the room behind him. His right hand soon found itself over his face as he hurriedly exited the outer room, gripping his face and pulling down on it gently as if to say "just what the hell was that?" Still as red as a tomato, he finally remembered Shunpo and vanished as quickly as possible to a new location.

As Elisia felt herself being pulled down, at first, she attempted to stabilize herself but to tell the truth, she had never been very good with balance at all. Thus, she soon found herself on top of Tsukiko again. Elisia closed her eyes. Now she felt as if she knew everything, as if the whole world was now waiting upon this moment. She hadn’t known what it had been like before, but she knew now and there was no denying it, nothing of it. Time seemed to slow down before halting entirely. She should have acknowledged it…even from before, Tsukiko had always been more than a friend to her but it was only now that she was opening herself up to all the endless possibilities. However, partway to the kiss, she opened her eyes, only to see a blond-haired person out of the corner of her eye. What?! This was supposed to be private or something like that. As she sneaked a second look a short while after, he had gone. When Tsukiko had pulled away, Elisia’s cheeks were burning red, as she had been rather embarrassed by the fact that she had been kissing Tsuki and somebody had come either accidentally or on purpose.
Calming herself down, she stared into Tsuki’s eyes, before she was hoisted upwards and released by Tsukiko. Her heart was beating much faster than usual and she unwillingly torn her gaze away from Tsuki’s face. She needed to get a grip on herself, for the meantime. “I’d better go see Eriko…” she muttered in defeat, slightly disappointed. Before moving though, she placed her hand on Tsukiko’s cheek, saying quietly, “I could never be mad at you for anything, Tsuki.” Content for the meantime, she hurried over to where Eriko had fallen, attempting to push out all thoughts of that person that had been watching. She couldn’t tell who he was, since he seemed to not be a Shinigami. Now she was utterly confused. Checking Eriko’s pulse and vitals, she turned to Tsukiko, calling out, “Eriko’s not injured too badly, just mainly knocked out unconscious…she’ll wake up with a massive headache, but that’s about it. Maybe we should move her to her Quarters or something like that? But I have to admit, Tsuki, that was some punch…”

Jūnibantai Taichō "Nothing to worry about then." Tsukiko said nonchalantly as she slid her hands, which were half-covered by her cardigan's sleeves into her pants pockets. Her gaze had strayed from Elisia and Eriko, but not out of embarrassment, but because she was trying to feel Aurelius out. He seemed to be heading towards the 9th Division, which was fairly okay for now. Turning her head towards Elisia as she poke of her punch, she gave her a meek smile as she thought about what was to come soon. "Thanks. Listen..." She began in an awkward tone, shuffling her feet while staring at the floor. "It's almost time. We'll need to leave for Modus Exaequaris very, very soon. In fact, we should just drop this one off in her room and head to Hei's grave. I'm sorry it's so soon, but there's something I just have to do. I don't know if it's going to work or not and... well things may go badly. And if that's the case, I want you to run... and just get out of harm's way. I'm not ready to lose someone else, not after finding out that you like me too."
Breathing a sigh, Tsukiko's gaze found the ceiling and trained itself there for a while as she couldn't bear to look Elisia in the eye at the moment. "I... I hope that when the time comes that I do what I have to do, that you don't think less of me. I hope that a lot, actually. It would hurt, but... I would understand if you hated me for it. Because, well I like you a lot and disappointing you is the last thing I want to do." Letting a small smile appear on her face, she let out the tiniest of incomplete laughs. "I'm sorry, I'm talking crazy. Anyway... we... we should go now..." Her smile spread as she started for the door without looking back. "I can't tell her, no matter how much I want to. I can't let anything hold me back from this..." Reaching the door, she stopped just before turning the handle, if only to look back at Elisia with a serene expression. ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪

☇【ｓｑｕａｄxｆｏｕｒxＣＡＰＴＡＩＮ】 Elisia had been attempted to get a response from Eriko, by waving her hands in front of Eriko’s face and even attempting to pinch the girl. Well, it seemed as if Eriko had been knocked out pretty hard. Maybe it would be best if Eriko simply managed to get to go to sleep or something like that. Raising her head, she listened to Tsukiko with a smile which slowly turned into a confused expression as Tsukiko continued on. This was strange. She felt as if Tsukiko wasn’t telling her something, due to the fact that Tsukiko seemed to be awkward, avoiding her gaze and shuffling her feet. Then again, for now, all she could do would be to trust Tsukiko. Standing up, she hoisted Eriko over one shoulder, staggering a little as she attempted to compensate for the new weight that she was carrying. She moved towards Tsukiko, lightly tapping her forehead on Tsukiko’s like Tsukiko had done before to show that she was with Tsukiko. “I understand, you don’t need to explain, Tsuki. Jūnibantai Taichō "Go with me all the way... Ha... Sorry, but I can't quite let you do that..." Tsukiko said after Elisia was gone. Gingerly she touched the place on her cheek where Elisia had kissed her, and almost childlike, she brushed the kiss off with her fingertips and kissed them as if to pretend that that action was a kiss with Elisia in itself. With a deep sigh, Tsukiko sank to the floor, and pulled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and burying her face in them as she thought about everything she had to do while in Modus Exaequaris. After several minutes had passed, unfolded her legs and arms then moved to roll up her right sleeve. Once this was done she forced the symbols for Tenteikūra to appear glowing on her arm as produced by her body itself. "Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly though the heavens. Bakudō Nana Ju Nana: Tenteikūra." She spoke softly, not really in the mood to raise her voice. Bringing her right hand up, a glowing, outlined square appeared in space just half a foot from her palm. Many glowing, Reiryoku-based root-like branches extended from the square as Tsukiko mentally linked herself to the minds of the Captains of the Gotei 13.
"Attention Captains, this Jūnibantai Taichō, Hakase Tsukiko. Within the next thirty minutes, all Captains, Lieutenants, and 3rd Seats are to mobilize to Sōkyoku Hill where we will meet before departing for Modus Exaequaris. You will be briefed on the situation and plan prior to our departure. Please take the time to eat and refill your strength as being in peak condition is if the utmost importance. Please relay this message to your Lieutenants and 3rd Seats as I am not broadcasting this message to them. You have thirty minutes, we will leave no later. That is all." Breaking the connections, Tsukiko sighed, watching the symbols fade away from her arm. As she leaned against the wall, a black cord snaked out of her shoulder hatch and plugged itself in her wall as she took the next twenty-five minutes to recharge before unplugging herself and walking out of the room.

Fortunately, her body shield of reiatsu had protected her leg from probably a fracture or worse. This occurrence distracted her from the fight at hand so much so that she had deemed it safe enough to follow the gynoid's line of vision and come across Elisia. Why was she here? She was about to walk over to her when Tsukiko's reiatsu spiked but that was not enough of a signal to prepare her for the lash that came out of nowhere basically and knocked her out effectively.

The first drop of healing rain splashed on her nose bridge and woke her up.
“It has been some time since the last downpour in this world,” Cho commented while approaching Eriko. Her green eyes were looking up at the now gray sky as the rest of the raindrops found their way to the earthy floors. “The last time that it rained this much inside of you was when your father died. Of course, we had not yet been acquainted but still, it was a sad day for us both.” Translucent wings tightened across her small frame to keep the chilly airs away before the fairy began to walk purposefully in the opposite direction of her master. “Do you know why it is raining tears this time, Akiyama?”
Eriko rubbed her forehead and stared with a perplexed expression on her face at the retreating back of her Zanpakuto spirit. She was sure that Tsukiko’s punch had not been that powerful to knock her all the way into here. Slowly, the Shinigami rose from her muddy bed to follow Cho wherever it was that she was going. What did she mean that it was raining tears?
“I’ll tell you what I mean,” the white-haired sprite spat at her, turning full circle in one smooth motion to glare at the other female. “Once you had lost faith in your own ability to succeed, it did not take long for that insecurity to infect how you felt about me. Oh no, it did not take that long at all. Setsumei.” The deepened confusion on Akiyama’s features confirmed her knowledge that the girl had not heard the true first release command. Her fingers did the usual motion of mimicking the curves of a river across the kodachi in her hand. For a second, her dull green eyes flashed emerald but it was so quick that it could have been a flicker of the light as the sun was still shining amidst the cloudy skies. The rain was falling harder now but that did not matter to her. There was only one thing that mattered currently and that was that Akiyama learned about her real Zanpakuto abilities and how to use them to their fullest potential. “The sky reflects how you feel inside, Akiyama and to brighten it, you will have to beat me in a one-on-one battle. Gureisu versus my true gifts.”
It was a lot to take in, that was for sure. The more she heard, the more she was befuddled by this situation. That worsened when the blade from her saya appeared in her hand and entered Shikai silently. “This is not what I asked for.”
“This is exactly what you asked for,” Cho stated drily, charging without warning at Eriko and slicing her across her chest with the sword. Of course, her offense did not stop there as Eriko’s might have. The unprecedented deep slash preceded a whirlwind of kicks to the head as well as a massive punch to the stomach that sent the brown-haired girl flying back through the trees. There was not even a mere second for her to counter or at least, to dodge. The aggression was apparent but it was under almost precise control. By the time that she hit a tree trunk finally, Cho was on her again. A glue secreted from her palms when the spirit touched her Shinigami’s forearms. When released, Eriko tried to budge but found that it was of no use as small fists began to attack her sides surely with enough force to break all of her ribs. Moans and screams of pain escaped her mouth as the onslaught continued mercilessly until the binding effects of the glue wore off and Eriko was able to dodge the full force of a kick to her stomach. Instinctively, the female Soul Reaper used a determined Shunpo to put as much distance as possible between her and her crazed opponent.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you, Cho,” she called back to her spirit while trying to run as fast as her legs could carry her.
Suddenly, loads of mud splattered all over her body and in her peripheral, Cho could be seen right next to her, keeping up with her speed as if they were walking. “Actually, that would have been better than this. At least, intentional disrespect involves knowledge of what one is disrespecting. You have no clue how strong I am, do you?” For the first time since Cho’s advance, the sprite allowed genuine pain to pass through her eyes but like everything else, it was washed away by the ever pounding rain. With that one emotional expression gone, she disappeared from sight but her legs did not evade the sense of touch as Eriko felt their immensely tight lock around her neck. She knew what was coming but still a method for escape did not manifest in her mind as Cho executed a near perfect replica of Tsukiko’s somersault attack from earlier on in the previous training session. After three complete tumbles, she was thrown out in the direction of more trees, passing through them as if they were paper. Unfortunately, Cho did not wait for her to stop and came again with her own blade.
“Would you stop speaking in riddles? I thought,” Eriko grunted as the bottom of the hilt struck her lower jaw, “Gureisu and flattery were your power. What else could there be?” The Shinigami noted for the second time that where there should be broken bones, there were none. What gave?
“You haven’t figured it out as yet, have you? What a shame.” The spirit kept up the pace as she used Kendo and Hakuda alternately in her attack on Eriko. She could not see an end in this particular battle anytime soon and that disturbed her greatly. “They were tests, Akiyama to see how much you would test your potential as well as mine. Obviously, you failed if it had to come to this.” The rain drops healed injuries as they came so that none appeared on the Shinigami’s physical body in the real world. How could her opponent have not seen that already? “Akiyama Eriko, we are not about fear. Gureisu, for itself, was practically limitless and you disregarded that in every fight since you called my name." »Chōxxx蝶xxxButterfly« "Freedom comes at the price of your fearful ways. Pay it."
