The snake reappeared and slithered up Sasuke's leg with a new message written in Orochimaru's scribbley handwriting. -Keep an eye on her. Report anything unusual. Follow her if she goes on a mission. And don't kill Naruto...yet. Also, keep an eye out for anything unusual. That one blond woman left. I'm curious if she has friends here.-

The Gate suddenly became grainy, as if it were made of sand. Sakura's eyes widened as the grains became dust and the door started to blow away with the wind. Sakura immediately darted to Tsunade's office in shock.

Kakashi took off as soon as he saw the gate turn to dust.
Sasuke wrote a letter and sent the snake back to orochimaru and continued to hide in the bushes.

The snake returned to Sasuke with Orochimaru's message. I'd prefer you wait, Sasuke-kun. I plan to use Sakura-chan to retrieve a special scroll that has been hidden deep in the Hokage Building. Wether she knows about it or not not matter since Tsunade-hime does know. Use yourself as bait to lure Sakura-chan and have her somehow get the scrole. Make up some lie that once you learn the secret of the scroll you can kill your older brother and return to Konoha. She's foolish enough to believe such things, just like Tsunade-hime. If she refuses and you can't find some other way, kill her and make it look like some rough ninja got to her in her sleep or something.

Ino was streatching in a corner of the field. She had talked to Shizune about Sakura, and gave up on finding the medic. This way and that, she hadn't been able to chat with her. In fact, she didn't even remember why she wanted to see Sakura to begin with. Maybe it was because Shikamaru was tagging along behind his teammate like a lost puppy with some ultirior motive.
Speaking of which, she must have lost him again. 'Oh well, not like anyone's out to get me.' If only that were true.

Shikamaru sat a good one hundred or so feet from Ino on the field. He was currently seated in a lotus position with his eyes closed. Right now he was just thinking things through. Everything that day seemed to be fairly confusing and he wanted to take a few moments to take it all in. Letting out a small breath, he began to quickly calm his own nerves. Everything today seems so eerie... Hopefully it's just me. He began to think to himself, trying to put everything together. It would probably take him a while, but at least he would have something to do.

Naruto spotted Shikamaru. He walked over to him and started to lean on his head." Hey Shikamaru, want to spar?" Naruto asked him.

Ino changed her stretching position which kinda looked like yoga or something. She was upside-down on her arms and elbows, with her toes pointing towards the clouds before she did the splits.

Shikamaru attempted to dodge Naruto's touch, but it didn't go too well. He sighed lightly to himself and listened to what the blonde had to say to him before replying,"Not right now." He let out another slow breath after speaking, trying to think over what he had just been thinking about. It always bugged him when people interrupted his thoughts because then he could never remember what they were. Fidgeting a bit beneath the other's weight, Shikamaru attempted to look around the area a bit. Perhaps there was something that he was missing. After a few moments, he spoke again,"Hey, Naruto? Is it just me, or does today feel a bit... strange?"

Shikamaru sighed lightly at his comrade's response, figuring that he was probably correct. Though that didn't really stop him from trying to figure out what was really bothering him. Maybe it's because I didn't really get much sleep last night. I was too busy thinking over what was going on to really bother sleeping more than maybe five hours. He began to chew on his bottom lip as he stared down to the grass. Maybe five minutes or so later, he laid back in the grass and then began to stare to the clouds in the sky. He was at a loss of words to say until he looked over and saw Ino practicing her kicking,"Kick higher." He commanded over the quietness of the grounds,"You don't want to kick them right on their knee, that'll hurt you more than them." Shikamaru let out a sigh after he gave that little command and then he looked over to Naruto,"I'm surprised that you're not practicing as well." He tilted his head to the side a bit. Normally Naruto was full of energy and bugging everyone to practice with him. Perhaps it was just an off day.

Ino glared at him. She was SO not kicking at knee hight. "You need your eyes checked, Shikamaru. If you think I'm doing it wrong, then show me how it's supposed to be done instead of laying about and chatting with Naruto," she ordered, a hand on her hip.
