I recycled a s**t load of paper from work that was going to be thrown out. I told work that if they needed to get rid of the old paper just put it in a bag and give it to me to recycle. ^_^

rikuHEART That's okay, every little bit counts! 3nodding Exactly right- you'd be surprised how much "little stuff" like this can build up.^_~ Today I recycled paper, cardboard, and plastic, and kept the lights low. I also turned down the heat at work.^_^

I recycled a bit more paper, not much else except turning off the appliances that I wasn't using at the time.

Turning off the appliances is such a simple thing, and yet it does a world of good. Literally.^_~
I've been recycling and reducing my use of electricity, wearing a jacket and slippers indoors rather than turning up the heat, re-using the glass bottles my salad dressing comes in as single-serving drink containers, and picking up trash around the hospital. We've also done a few more humane society spays and neuters- and extended the length of time that we'll be doing them for one more week!

Same here- still conserving energy, wearing warm clothes, and recycling.^_^
Today, when I went out to pick up trash, I concentrated on a little spot next to our hospital. It's kind of like a smallish open space, surrounded on all sides by bushes and flowers- I like to go there when we have canine patients. I take them there on their potty breaks and they like to sniff around all the bushes.^_^ But it got a little trashed when we had some work done on our roof- we thought that the workers were taking care of their own mess, but apparently they were just dragging it out of site into this secluded area. I'm still picking nails up out of the ground, so I've got a little ways left to go before I can take dogs back there.-_- We don't see a lot of dogs, though, so I'll probably get a while in which to work at it. I managed to salvage a plastic bottle for recycling, during today's visit.^_^

It's FREEZING!!! Yet I'm still getting an extra shirt or something and conserving energy and recycling.

And I bought earrings made of recyled newspaper (they were fair trade too) I think there's something good from that....

They take earring bases (I can't think of a better name) and wrap a strip of newspaper around them. Then they cover it in some hardener. They turn out looking like beads. 3nodding
