my top three (in order) is...
*Hermes (cause he always kinda seen as a nice guy to hang out with, even if your a girl. whee )
*Hades (cause... he's king of the underworld... question )
*Dinoysus (he's number three because after reading a cretain play, he now scares me a bit... sweatdrop )

A toss-up between Dionysus and Apollo, because they just set each other off so well.

rootnoodle A toss-up between Dionysus and Apollo, because they just set each other off so well. And yet ironically, they seemed to get along quite fine in mythology. They certainly shared patronage of Mount Parnassos in common. It's only due to Nietzsche—and his popularizing use of the words 'Apollonian' and 'Dionysian' to refer to antithetical impulses—that the two gods came to be seen as diametrically opposing personalities.

Do you have any myths that involve the both of them? I know that they shared the temple of Delphi, but I'd love to hear any stories that involve their interaction! (I really can't help but imagine them butting heads just a little, but that's entirely off of the canon writings. biggrin )

(I really can't help but imagine them butting heads just a little, but that's entirely off of the canon writings. biggrin ) They feature in several myths as individuals, but never really interact. Apollon and Dionysos seem to get along quite well, even with Apollon's famously raucous, murderous temper.

I bet most of the votes for Hades are a bunch of cliche emos and goths thinking "death and decay is so coooool". It is cool... or cold... possibly freezing?

Asclepius, the god of medicine. I am going to school to become a paramedic, so I feel he is sort of like my patron god.

Quote: HeraklesRoman: Hercules God of heroism and sports. Just to inform you, but Herakles is correctly written as ' Heracles'. I didn't want to see it wrong-written smile
