The kunai flew forth from Satoshi’s hand moving in fast pace towards the target. However, just as it neared the last few feet of the dummy it careened slowly away getting of course. Satoshi watched helpless as the kunai missed its intended target striking the dummy in the right side above and below any vital points. Satoshi blew out a bit of air as he soon began to realize that throwing kunai might not be as easy as it seemed. It probably should have been a lot easier, but he had not trained much with ranged weapons. He had either over compensated or under compensated for the wind in the area and that had caused his kunai to fly off course. Satoshi could not really place his finger on exactly what it was, but it had to be something to that extent. Satoshi now just needed to figure out exactly what was wrong and fix it. Satoshi stepped back a bit allowing his mind to take a break and better take in his surroundings.

When Satoshi was positive that he was no longer thinking far too into the throwing of his weapons he stepped back to where he had originally thrown. He then stretched his arm a pit moving it so that it was a lot looser. He hoped that by relaxing his body he would be able to throw his weapon without tensing up and thus perhaps loosing some of its momentum. When Satoshi eventually felt that his body was prepared he withdrew this time a shuriken from its pouch. He decided that this throw he would attempt to use the other projectile weapon. He then sized up the dummy attempting to figure out where he was going to try and throw it. He then moved his arm back and let the shuriken fly hoping that it would hit its mark.

Satoshi watched as the shuriken left his hand moving at a considerable pace for an academy student who had little experience with ranged weapons. The shuriken cut through the air the sound showing just how fast it was truly going. Satoshi watched mesmerized, but increasingly becoming worried as it seemed that the shuriken was going to fall away from its intended target and imbed itself just nearby. However, moments before the strike the shuriken seemed to have corrected itself and Satoshi watched as it landed and stuck right where the mark that meant that lungs was. Satoshi smiled triumphantly glad that the weapon had struck directly where he had wanted it to. Of course it wasn’t guaranteed that all his attacks would be so successful, but a shinobi could be a bit glad with himself at least for now. Satoshi immediately fished back into the pouch withdrawing another shuriken. He didn’t honestly think that he was just better at throwing shuriken. However, the normally very logical boy was letting a little superstitious belief get to him and wanted to stick with the weapon that had done so well for him in the last throw.

Satoshi put the dummy in his sights making sure to also figure out just how much the wind was blowing at that moment. He didn’t want the shuriken to be blow away by a sudden gust or thrown to hard for Satoshi had expected wind resistance. When Satoshi was certain that the elements of nature were on his side, at least for now, he began to prepare the rest of his body for the throw. Soon enough Satoshi was limber and ready and his arm cocked back once again to unleash the shuriken at the dummy. Satoshi let it fly watching its path as it went. He was hoping for another successful throw or at least it hitting the dummy.

Satoshi’s gaze followed the shuriken as if it had hypnotized him, watching as it hovered for a bit in midair slowed down by the wind whipping up. He regretted the fact that he had not put more force behind the shuriken, but at least it was still moving steadily towards the dummy. For only the briefest of moments Satoshi began to believe that the shuriken would fall short and completely miss the target. However, Satoshi was rewarded for the time he had spent preparing as the shuriken did hit the dummy, just not the mark that Satoshi had wished for it. Satoshi cocked his head to the side a bit taking in how the shuriken had just barely bit into one of indicated pressure points. He was glad that the shuriken had stuck for he wasn’t exactly sure if it would have counted if the shuriken had hit, but then fell off. This time around Satoshi decided he would mix it up by taking out one of the two kunai he had left. Even if he was just normally bad at throwing kunai then practicing with them was the better choice. After all there was no point in training with a weapon he was already proficient in. He might as well switch to something that needed a bit more work and that would allow him to truly benefit from training with it.

Satoshi felt the weight of the kunai in his hand flipping a bit to try and get a better grasp for it. He didn’t want to just barely hit the dummy this time he wanted to make a good throw that he could be truly proud of. Satoshi breathed in deeply bringing his arm back once more and steadying himself for the eventual throw. He allowed the arm to hang in his hand for a few seconds. Then suddenly Satoshi brought his arm forward unleashing the kunai towards the target. He wasn’t sure how well he would do this throw, but he could only hope for the best and wait and see. With luck the kunai would fly true and maybe even behead the wooden dummy. Of course that was only wishful thinking on the part of Senju Satoshi.

Satoshi practically crossed his fingers as the kunai left his hand and made its way towards the dummy. Already Satoshi was beginning to doubt himself thinking that kunai were his weakness and that the weapon would fall completely short not even making it half way to the dummy. However, to his delight the kunai shot forth easily reaching the dummy. Though in the end Satoshi had to watch as the kunai struck the same pressure point as his earlier shuriken did only a few inches south of where the first had landed. He had wished that he would have done a better job throwing the kunai, but in the end even hitting the pressure point was a victory he would take. It was definitely much better then completely missing the dummy or just simply hitting a non-lethal body part like he had done the first time he had tried throwing a kunai. Satoshi had now thrown four projectile weapons, two kunai and two shuriken. According to the weapons that Zephyr-sama had given him he only had a kunai and four more shuriken left. With that in mind he decided that his next throw he would use a shuriken. He wanted to save the kunai for last or preferably for his next throw. However, if the fates were good to him perhaps he wouldn’t even need to retrieve his weapons before being done with this training exercise.

Satoshi smiled holding on to that hope as he dropped the pouch of ranged weapons at his side, holding the lone shuriken. He balanced the weapon in his hand holding it loosely so that it would not cut him as he released it. Satoshi let out a few quick breaths so that he would not suddenly cough or do something else to mess up his throw. When he was ready he cocked his arm back preparing himself for the throw. Satoshi then flung his arm forward letting the shuriken loose so that it may go for the intended target. Now the only thing left for Satoshi was to sit back and wait to see how well his throw would be. He just had to hope that his preparations had properly prepared his throw and would let the weapon strike well.

Satoshi almost cursed at his bad luck realizing soon after the throw that he had forgotten to follow through with his arm. Satoshi had to watch helplessly as the shuriken went completely of course flying right over the dummy. It didn’t go too far passed its mark, but it still missed. Satoshi frowned; just a bit disappointed in himself for forgetting something so rudimentary when it came to throwing shuriken. It was definitely something he should have remembered from any time he overheard a lesson during the academy. He had completely wasted that throw and was now no closer to his goal then he had been from before previously wasting the shuriken. However, on the bright side the failure had taught Satoshi a lesson and from this point on he would take extra care to follow through with his throw so as not to repeat the same thing that had occurred now. Something like that would hopefully be a lifesaver in actual battle where something as stupid as forgetting rudimentary lessons could mean life or death.

Satoshi bent over reaching for the small pouch that he had dropped by his feet just moments ago. From that pouch he pulled out yet another shuriken deciding that he would still hold off on the kunai for now. With yet another shuriken in his hand he began to prepare his body once more for the throw. This time he made sure that he would not forget to follow throw. He felt the weight of the instrument within his hands moving it around until he was sure that he would not use too much strength. Satoshi then moved his body to make it easier to throw. When he was ready he cocked back letting the projectile weapon fling forward in a sudden movement. He watched as the shuriken flew forth towards the dummy. He wasn’t positive if this throw would be successful either, but he was hoping that his prior failure would allow him some success during this attempt.

Satoshi realized the error of his ways only too soon after the shuriken had left his fingers. His body lurched forward having leaned far too much during the throw. He knew that the shuriken was very of course now probably not even going to strike the dummy. Satoshi gave a giant sigh as he watched the weapon move a few feet only to die in midair and strike the grass with a small thud. Satoshi let out a small aggravated grunt as he fished into his pouch once more this time pulling out the last kunai. He knew he was running out of projectiles quickly. If he did not hurry up and connect the next few throws then he was certain that pretty soon he would have to make his way over to the dummy in order to retrieve the ranged weapons that Senju Zephyr-sempai had given him. Satoshi flipped the kunai lightly in his hand looking down at the very lonely shuriken that still lay within the folds of the pouch. Satoshi was going to have to make this throw count and hopefully land himself an influential hit.

Satoshi jumped up and down a bit an exercise he heard would help his body become more limber. When he was certain that he was relaxed and no longer tense from his past failures he took in a few deep breaths. Satoshi was now very composed glad that he had done so before throwing once more. Satoshi brought his arm back slowly not wanting to rush his attack like he felt he had done the last time. Satoshi brought his left arm, the one that was not throwing forward; he figured that he might be able to size up the target using it and make his throw more accurate. When he felt certain that he had done all he could to prepare for the throw he let the kunai fly forward. Satoshi watched as the kunai left his hands aiming directly for the dummy. He could only hope now that it would maintain its course and strike the wooden dummy in a vital area. From this point on it was all about waiting to see what would happen next.

Satoshi leaped in the area excited by his victory. Just moments prior he had watched as the last kunai within his pouch had flung forward with expert speed. The throw had been meticulous and without a single error in its attempt. It did not strike the heart, but Satoshi was beginning to believe that such a target was simply out of his league for now. However, it did strike the next vital area worth the next most amount of points, the lungs. The kunai stuck forward in it having made it dead center within the mark even more so then his previous throw. Satoshi smiled triumphantly as he made his way over the dummy realizing that he had to still retrieve the projectile weapons that his sensei had given him. These things weren’t free or at least not normally and thus he needed to hold on to these for future training as well as use in real combat. He placed the weapons in the bag then and made his way back to Zephyr-sama. Not only that, but at the same time he had made sure to take his time when he had been retrieving the weapons. He was still a little exhaustion from his running so hopefully this small break had yet again rejuvenated him even if it was only a small amount. When Satoshi was standing before Zephyr he gave another bow. When he was done he stood back up straight and said, “Another training exercise complete Zephyr-sempai. I hope that I have done well in your eyes. What are your next instructions so that I may perform them at the best of my abilities?” Satoshi remained firm waiting for an answer from his elder excited that he had done so well in his last training.

Giglamesh would suddenly begin to walk in to the red desert, known as the karabadlands. It was quite hot and very sandy, a few rock jutting out from the gounrd here and there and it had a few slopes and dune, but mostly was a barren plain of sand and hot. Giglamesh would walk in to the badlands, and with such great timing a sandstorm was begining to whip up blowing sand all around in every direction, but the situation was extremly intense as giglamesh had been incredibly wronged, he had been offended multiple time in his own acdemy in front of some of the students, he was pist and only blood would corect it. Wether it be his own blood or the dog boys he didnt care as he would do this, to many time he talked down on him for only being a chunin but he didnt realise giglamesh was getting very close to being acepted as jounin rank. He would stand there waiting for the dog boy to catch up so he could get this over with, in a short period of time he did have his second lesson to do.

But now wassent the time for that he was going to ready himself, giglamesh would do several single hand chakra seals with his right hand but his large yukata sleeve would keep it and any motions concealed. "....Getsuei Odori." Suddenly giglamesh's image would blur, and any woudlnt be able to tell because he was standing still, but each slight move he makes has a after image, actualy five after images but this would be hard to tell as he was standing waiting for xan to arrive so he could finish this. There was no way he would allow any body to insult his pride like that with out reprocutions, giglamehs after all was a samurai before a shinobi.

One hazel eye lazily cracked open as the raven-haired Sannin lazily observed the boy. Zephyr had...fallen asleep while waiting... "You're done? Goody, alright then..." A mischievous grin stretched across his face. He clasped his hands together, and a single tree erupted from the ground. It grew taller and taller...until the Senju leader felt satisfied that it was about the height of the average tree height in Konoha.

"Iwa doesn't have trees...so obviously this lesson was more affiliated with Konoha... But we're not in Konoha, obviously. Heh. Don't you think our clan is so handy? Anyways - kid. Chakra control lesson one - tree climbing. Focus chakra to the soles of your feet. Watch." Zephyr formed the tiger handseal just for concentration purposes before he took swift steps and started easily climbing the tree as if it was flat ground.

Now, a few things. If you use too little chakra, you won’t get anywhere. Use too much chakra...” To prove his point, the older Sannin applied more than the necessary amount of chakra to his feet and they sank into the wood – eventually forcing him to jump off. “Use too much, and the tree won’t be able to support you.” A small grin at the young boy. “Use your kunai to mark progress. A scratch would do, each time you progresses further. You may find a running start might help.

Satoshi waited patiently a bit puzzled by the fact that he was certain that Zephyr-sempai had been sleeping during his whole prior training. Satoshi wasn’t exactly positive what had bored the Senju Master to sleep, but he was hoping that it wasn’t something he had done or a lack of effort he was putting into his training. He was trying his hardest to complete his training and do it efficiently with strength. However, Satoshi was relieved a bit as a wicked grin grew upon the face of his sensei showing that he was apparently enjoying himself despite the nodding off that had occurred previously.

Satoshi watched as his sempai created a tree utilizing his chakra its height as large as the ones he remembered back in Konoha. He then listened as Zephry-sama explained what exactly he would be doing. Satoshi had heard the term tree walking before, but he had never really seen it in action. He was left awestruck as he watched Zephyr show him the training movement, even more so when the Senju Master showed Satoshi what would occur if one used too much chakra as well. Without even having to see the second demonstration he knew that the training exercise was going to be really difficult. Depending on how lucky he got it might even be harder then just about every other training exercise he had done that day.

Satoshi nodded his head and gave a bow to his sensei accepting this difficult training and hoping that he would accomplish it quickly enough. Satoshi then turned to face the tree beginning to recall everything that Zephyr-sempai had just mentioned. It only took him a few moments, but eventually he had thought he had it all down. Satoshi then began to focus his chakra to his feet attempting to get the right amount. Satoshi then rushed forward at the tree a kunai in hand in order to mark his territory. Now was do or die there was no slowing down only hoping that he would reach the top of the tree soon enough or even better in this try.

((nm on throwing d12 also forgot that you couldn't...))

Satoshi moved forward his speed quickening with every step. Even though he was moving quickly, Satoshi made sure to keep his chakra steady so that he would not simply put one foot on the tree and fall over. Without even recognizing what hew as doing Satoshi was already moving up the tree every step taking him closer to his goal. However, quite suddenly he felt his foot sink into the wood realizing that he had overcompensated with his chakra because of the speed he was approaching the tree at. Satoshi flipped backwards marking where his place had been with the kunai that he had been holding onto with his right hand. At first Satoshi was unsure whether he was going to make the flip or land flat on his butt, but luckily his prior training had seemed to help out a bit thus far. He felt his feet land on the ground, if just a bit shakily. He then looked back up towards the tree where his mark had been deciding that he would try to get higher on the tree next time.

Satoshi gave a sigh as he moved back a few feet and gave himself some space once more. He then attempted to concentrate his chakra once more into his feet making sure to produce a layer of chakra. He wasn’t sure if it would be enough, but he could hope for the best as he made his attempt once more. His grip tightened around the kunai within his hand hoping that this time he wouldn’t have to use it to mark his spot. He felt it as his foot hit the tree wondering what would happen next.

Satoshi made his way up farther within the tree this time honestly astonished that he could have improved so much after just one attempt. However, it was always possible that both times had been simple flukes. As it was Satoshi barely made it a few steps beyond where had left his mark last time before having to once again use that kunai of his. This time around he had neglected to keep his chakra concentrated and thus lost it only so close to being successful. Satoshi mumbled a curse under his breath as he lost his footing and slowly began to fall. With his last ditch effort Satoshi moved his right hand with lightning speed in order to leave a mark where he had last been. He could only hope that he would land successfully this time and not embarrass himself by falling badly on his body and potentially hurting himself.

Unfortunately Satoshi was not as lucky with his landing as he had been previously. He felt his balance get shaken as his foot pushed off the tree and he left his mark. Satoshi figured that he must not have put enough force into his flip for in mid movement his body stopped devoid of momentum. He felt the pain in his rump as he landed directly on it, sharp pains moving up through his back and spine. Satoshi gritted his teeth not happy that he had messed up on a simply flip and had now injured himself a bit. He was going to have to seriously step it up if he wanted to succeed in this training. His sempai had felt him worthy enough to take on training that was more suited for genin shinobi. However, he was an academy student and thus some people would have thought this out of Satoshi’s league.

Satoshi rose quickly not wanting to seem weak especially from something as small as falling on his behind. He shook off the dust moving a few feet away once more from the tree. He was definitely going to seriously need to prepare himself if he wanted to accomplish this training. This wasn’t some easy little thing that anyone could accomplish. He wanted to get strong and the only way to do that was learning some of the most basic things that all shinobi needed. Chakra control was definitely a necessity for a shinobi and without a shinobi could not perform genjutsu, ninjutsu, and even some of the more intricate taijutsu. He had heard the rumors of his sensei’s special taijutsu style. If he ever wanted to prove himself as good enough to learn such a technique he was going to need to upgrade his chakra control in order to precisely use it.

Satoshi flipped the kunai in his hand a few times in order to better relax himself and release some of the building stress. Satoshi didn’t waste any time from that point on as he concentrated the chakra once more into the soles of his feet. He had to complete this training if he wanted to advance as a shinobi. He then began to tighten the grip on his kunai making sure that he would not drop it as he tried to ascend the tree once more. He then moved forward using the chakra that he had stored in his feet in order to help him at least make his first step onto the tree. As Satoshi began to make his way up he wondered if he would be able to make it beyond what he had done earlier.

Satoshi gritted his teeth in anger realizing only too late his mistake when attempting to climb the tree for the third time. He felt his footing slip only a few steps up the tree. He was slightly angry at himself as he knew that he was going to be falling very shortly. He had not concentrated enough chakra into the soles of his feet and because of it his hold on the tree had only lasted for a few moments at best. Satoshi moved quickly despite the surprise of his feet slipping on the tree. He flung his right arm forward attempting to cut the tree before falling backwards. Satoshi then fell backwards shortly after making his mark. Satoshi could only hope now as he attempted to land safely that he would not land flat on his butt once more or god forbid something worse.
