Kin'iro wrapped the kit comfortingly and protectively in her tail. "It's alright, sweetie," she cooed, trying to relax her. "There's nothing to be afraid of. Things might not always be pleasant, but there's no need to fear." The golden kitsune took notice that Lilette seemed to have hurt her paw a little. "Are you alright?" she asked with slight concern, her Shaman instincts kicking in. After all, she had been raised to heal.

Lilette shook her head. She would be fine with a simple wound in her paw. It would help her to learn the many pains that would happen in her life, anyways. But, Lilette couldn't help but admire her mother's worry for her. Probably every other fox out there as well.
As soon as her mother's words had passed, Lilette was suddenly fueled by determination to meet the elder. Her eyes flickered with happiness at being with mother and her tribe. She knew she would be leaving very soon, but being with her as long as she could would do. The kit smiled warmly. Somehow she felt she was going to enjoy this.
"I'll try to be brave." Lilette reminded her mother. She hadn't learned how serious the elder could be. Maybe there was another elder, if the situation was bad, Lilette would handle it.

Though he wasn't a Carer, and didn't think he had any interest in it, Sieg watched carefully as the kits came around. Their parents were taking care of them, but he felt the need to protect them as well... Why? Well, he didn't know. It seemed just... Something he had to do. It was in his nature to be protective, expecially of such seemingly little kits.
Not wanting to approach them though, he just laid where he was and watched. Hopefully this tribe could come togather again... Many of the tribes were having a bit of dissention right now, or so he had heard.

"You need not worry about your instincts, Sieg." Thea said softly. "Go out, explore the tribe." She said before walking slowly over to Nako and Ari. "You're worried about this little one? You need not be, she can hear every word you say, right? Just nod your head...What's her name?" She asked, Nako, looking back up at him. She had a slight smile on her face, like she was enjoying a private joke.

The fact that father and kit would eventually be separated concerned Ari, as did the kit's potential disabilities. Then Thea came over, and Ari decided that she could take care of this, for now. There was still so much to do.
"I have others things to get to at the moment. If either you or your kit need anything that Thea can't provide, let me know."
He really did want to stay around, find out more about the kit. Warn Nako about how hard it would be once she left.
But there was still Kin'iro, with another kit. And he really didn't like the way Ollure was looking at him. At all. If he was lucky, Kazuki would deal with her; Ari was quite sure he knew what Ollure wanted to talk to him about.
Well, he could worry about that later. Kin'iro and the other kit first.
"Explain," he commanded, too drained to make a full sentence. He was rather certain the shaman knew what he meant, though. After all, the kit couldn't be hers: it looked nothing like her, nor any other member of the tribe, so it couldn't just be that the kit took after the other parent.

The elder's tone sounded a little bit harsher than usual, but it was understandable. The poor guy seemed quite drained from all of the talks he had been having. To help him out, Kin'iro would try to make this brief. "I found her BCR on a road and soon met up with a few other foxes. While we exchanged greetings, she hatched and took me for her mother. Although I don't think that she quite fits in with our tribe, I couldn't just abandon a newborn kit and leave her to fend for herself. I've come to ask your permission to allow Lilette here to stay with us for a while. At least until she's old enough to take care of herself. She could decide from there if she would like to ask you and Kazuki to stay or not." Under normal circumstances, Kin'iro thought Ari too kind to say no. In his current state however she wasn't quite sure how he would respond. If worse came to worse, then Kin'iro would simply have to stay with Lilette for a little while off the tribe grounds till she grew up.

Though Thea calmed his fears, Sieg wasn't too sure of himself when it came to kits. Sure, he hadn't been an adult long... But they seemed so much smaller! He had to be very careful.
Carefully following Thea, he looked to the little mute kit for a moment. Not really wanting to intrude, he then walked around the clearing that they were in for a moment... Almost like a Hunter in nature, scanning the area to make sure all was safe. For now, the Elders had other things on their minds. He was sure that an extra pair of eyes watching out was helpful for them.

((-realizes she used 'need not be' twice in last post- xD;; ))
Thea nodded to Ari; she would take care of the new father and kit. "Nako, I have a couple questions for you." With a glance at the new kit, she led Nako a few feet away and whispered, "You found her, right? I mean to say that she is not your daughter biologically?" Thea glanced over at the kit again, another soft smile on her face. "For future reference, Nako, you shouldn't treat her differently than other kits just because she's mute. It would cause her to grow up thinking that she would always be able to get that special treatment. It could hurt her later." There was a reason Thea was Carer. She knew a lot about kits, their habits and growing up. The years of watching her siblings quietly from a corner had payed off well. "Answer my questions, then we can go back to her. She's missing you."

As the line seemed to be at a standstill, Ollures patience began to wane. Her mind raced with feeble attempts to calm her rising irritation, it would not look good to snap at the Elder the second time they spoke; Nay, in fact it would most definitely assure her place outside the tribe. She glanced back and forth to the ones before her and let out a heavy sigh, shifting her weight from paw to paw as she began to let her eyes wander to and fro. Something about the scene of the land at night made her temper subside to an extent but it did not cure the problem.
In some senses, it amused her; Ari had a problem with Anjafey due to her actions against kits. What in the world would he think when he realized Ollures temper was just as volatile, if not more so? That was her biggest shortcoming, her temper. Kirina was colder than she was, but her older sister had never had the problems with a temper that she had. Given their birthmarks and the blessings they both had received, it made Ollure wonder if they had not been given to the wrong fox. Surely Kirina should be more friendly and hotter blooded than Ollure, but the way of things did not seem to agree.
After a few moments she let her gaze drift back to Anjafey, whom she smiled upon and let her tail sway from side to side as her emotions further subsided towards the state of calm. If things kept up, she might make it to Ari before having an Aneurysm from high stress levels.

Ari glanced around the tribe, trying to see if everyone (other than Ollure) had truly been taken care of. But he really couldn't see anyone else who wanted his attention.
No matter how badly he was sure this would go, there was no way he could put it off any longer. Avoiding Ollure would probably make her even more mad at him, and if she wanted to join the tribe, that was not a good thing.
Reluctantly, he went over to her, part of his mind wondering whether her temper was 'justifiable', or whether it was violent enough for her to be excluded from the tribe.
"May I help you?" he asked. Somehow he kept his tone level and calm, without any of the annoyance and frustration he felt about this whole thing with Anjafey.

If her mood state had been noticeable before, it most certainly wasn't the instant Ari spoke towards her. Her ears perked up and her eyes gleamed with relief and a sense of joy as her tail became more violent (In a sense) in the manner that it swayed from side to side. She smiled respectfully towards the Elder and bowed her head in respect before raising it to meet his gaze once more.
"Good evening Elder Ari... I would however like to be blunt in this statement, I would much prefer to call you Ari... If that is alright with you? I understand you're one of two Elders, but there is absolutely no reason we cannot be friends."
She lowered her hind quarters and sat upon her haunches as she gazed at him, her eyes remaining locked with his as she spoke again.
"I've spoken to Kazuki, though the length of said conversations are not overly long, they would be in most eyes considered substantial in volume. I wanted to speak with you again however, as when I first arrived you were most busy and still appear to be... As said before, I seek permission to join your tribe. Kazuki said he saw no reason why I could not, and if you need to speak to him on it I can wait...."
She turned her gaze towards Kazuki who was still near Anjafey as far as she could tell and beamed a smile towards the second Elder of the tribe before turning back to Ari.
"I know you and Anjafey have your... disagreements and I want to put this out in the open... While sometimes you and she may not see eye to eye and if she becomes upset over those matters, I shall respect what you've decided and try to help her stay calm. She has expressed that she has had her mental state pushed in the past, I will do my utmost to work with her through any time where she believes she may be 'Unstable'."
She sighed and closed her eyes before speaking again, knowing this wasn't going to sound like it was meant.
"However Ari... Please understand, I will defend her tooth and nail if whatever you two disagreed on is completely... insane."
She couldn't think of another word to use in that last statement, and that bugged her but she smiled at Ari and bowed her head again.
"Please understand Ari... I mean absolutely no disrespect and I have absolutely no desire to cause more drama than has already been wrought by my entrance into her life, and in turn... The tribes life as a whole... I just have certain things, like any fox, that I cannot and will not tolerate under any circumstances..."
She winced, knowing she was rambling and making her self sound worse, or at least that is what she believed, but she was trying to be as political about this interaction as possible and let Ari know where she stood in regards to Anja.
"Erm... I'll shut up now..."

Well, she seemed to have calmed down now. That was something. The last thing the tribe needed was still another 'unstable' (to use their word) fox.
"Calling me Ari is fine," he told her. At the moment, she hadn't done anything that would warrant her speaking to him so formally. Not yet. He hoped not ever, but after his talk with Anjafey, he was not so certain.
"I will have to sleep on my decision as to whether or not you may join the tribe." He hesitated, not quite wanting to admit weakness to the current outsider. Yet it had to be obvious enough how stressed he was at the moment.
"I would like to be in a clearer mental state before deciding on something as important as this. I think by tomorrow night things should have calmed down enough here..." He found himself wondering just since when had the tribe become so full of troubles.
He wondered if he would regret his next question, yet it still must be asked. "And what would you regard as completely insane?" She seemed forward enough, and he believed that if she meant Anjafey's probation, she would have brought it up. But he had had enough drama to last him the rest of his life, and so it would be best to get all of this dealt with now, rather than have it all explode later.
He had been expecting this whole conversation to be nothing but her criticizing him for his actions on that score, after all, and so he ought to at least be grateful he had been mistaken on that count.

Completely insane, he wished a definition? She pondered a moment before shifting her weight to one side so that she was more comfortable, her eyes seemed to gleam a tad bit brighter before she spoke again.
"Completely insane translates to anything that is completely and totally unreasonable in regards to the situation. If it's questionable, I'll talk it out, if it's insane, I'll probably blow my stack away from you and then try to talk it out as best I can. I'd rather not lose my temper around you or Kazuki, as that would be... Bad on all accounts."
She smiled at him again and nodded.
"I understand you are weary, and I understand why... Between Anjafey and Kazuki having been gone and other things, anyone should be drained. There is no need to hide that you are weary Elder."
She moved over to him and without warning or provocation, nuzzled him before stepping back.
"I will do all I can to support you and Kazuki, as well as the rest of the tribe, no matter your decision."

Ari nearly jumped when she unexpectedly nuzzled him. Calling him by his name, and not his title was something he could deal with. This, though, was an entirely different matter of familiarity.
"Please don't do that again," he forced out. From how she was acting, he was starting to like her well enough. But nuzzling...he didn't think anyone had ever done that to him, outside of his mate. So it was certainly disconcerting for this female he hardly knew to do such a thing to him.
And then there was the topic of the conversation itself. Ari tried not to sigh. Here they were, still talking around the issue of Anjafey.
Or was he wrong in thinking that was what Ollure wanted to talk to him about? The more she talked, the more it seemed that if she had a problem with his decision, she would have said something about it. True, he wasn't any great judge of character. Maybe he should just leave it be, and assume he had been mistaken.
After everything else that had been going on, though, he still found it impossible to believe that things were finally taking a turn for the better.
"I take it, then, you think my decision about Anjafey and her duties is reasonable?" he asked, part of his mind calling him a moron for bringing it up, part of his mind feeling glad the inevitable confrontation would be out of the way, most of his mind feeling just tired of everything.

She couldn't help but chuckle at the way he jumped towards her attempt to at least comfort him some, but she understood the reasons, even if he hadn't voiced them.
Then came the question she had been trying to avoid. The situation was what it was, even though she didn't know all the details she had wanted to leave it alone with Ari, now she didn't have a choice. Her eyes flared briefly before the emotional surge subsided and she sighed before speaking.
"I do not know all your reasons, but I know some. I do not agree either, as having her stay clear of your kits is one thing, but banning her from duties entirely is another. She is more stable now than I think she has been in some time, and I can feel some of the changes within her. However, the decision may have set her back a bit, though I doubt you wish to hear me say that. I will not play my paw in this one, but you know again, where I stand."
She bowed to him before letting her tail sway along the ground and then raised her head to gaze at him once more.
