Cas is very inquisitive and yet at the same time he is the observer, not paws-on. He wants to know things and yet he is perfectly content with just watching.

He has a closeness with his little brother Dene and his sister whom he affectionately calls Ani. Ani being the only girl in the family, he feels the need to protect her, make sure that no one mistreats her or teases her. Dene, on the other paw, is a fairly different relationship. His brother is often the one to ask him what he's doing or why. Dene sometimes picks at Cas, but he takes it all in stride. They are brothers after all and forgiveness is a part of being brothers.

Seer
Usually he has visions of only a few minutes into the future, as if he has already been a part of what is about to happen and time rewinds for him, these visions last seconds.
The best example for this would be he is walking along a path on the mountainside with one of his brothers and as they are walking, a large rock comes falling down and hits his brother, sending him rolling off the path. This is only the vision, they are in fact several moments away from that happening. Cas has enough time to say "Let's turn back" or even push his brother out of the way.

On very rare occasions, he has dreams, though he has no idea if they are dreams or visions, nor if it's past, present, or future.
Often he won't know if the dreams are visions until after the fact.
