Aaron followed Gannon warily. He didn't really know where the Teru was going. He decided to speak up. "Just where are you planning on going and why?" He fell quiet and waited patiently for an answer.

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ She shook her head no. "Nothing except the fact that everyone seems to be forgetting the companions we've left behind." Hikari stood. "Just leave me be, please." The Reyvateil moved away from the half-Teru and kept herself occupied by exploring a little around the room a bit more. As she wandered, she found herself over by a table in the corner. She stopped when she remember this had been were Gannon was standing before he started acting strangely. It was something over here that upset him... She hesitated, not knowing if she should be poking around over in that corner. Hikari had figured that if Gannon wished to speak with her about his past he would have. She glanced around wondering where the Teru was. Come to think of it Aaron is gone as well. So they had gone out somewhere? Hikari bit her lip. I don't know why, but... I want to know more about him. Am I just being curious? It's all right to want to know more about him, right? She took a shaky step closer. What was it that made him so unhappy? It was then Hikari noticed the frame down on the table. This? A picture? Trembling hands reached for the frame and she lifted it up, turning it over so she could see it. Deep blue eyes stared back into her own. Gannon, and someone else. Who is she? She's so pretty. They look so happy together. Carefully and quietly she set the picture back down on the table where she found it face down as before. Hikari studied the other things around that area that obviously belonged to a woman. I wonder... is she the person most special to Gannon that Naomi spoke to me of? Hikari froze at that thought. That means her death was my... She turned abruptly around and quickly rushed into the other room, shutting the door and locking herself in. My fault! If I weren't alive she would still be alive! A hand covered her mouth and she sank to the floor. Just what am I doing here? I really am a weapon, aren't I? I only cause death and destruction to everyone and everything around me. "I don't want to come out. I don't deserve to. I should just stay in here locked up so I can't hurt anybody else!" Tears fell and before long, the exhaustion got the better of her and she lay her head down on the floor and fell asleep curled up against the corner wall in a tiny backroom closet. My Song is a Shining Light

Mana~

"Look, it's not that we don't care." Mana called after Hikari. "We just had to cut our losses so we could stay alive and keep looking for them, that's all. C'mon, Hikari!" Knowing that she was being ignored, she sighed and sat down on the bed, staring off into space.
It was then that Mana noticed the other Teru was leaving the room. "Damn it what the hell is she trying to do expose us!?" She paused a second to speak to Nel. "Watch Hikari and the others willya?" She bolted out the door into the rain after her. "Hey look you! I don't care if you go out and get yourself killed but when you drag my sister and the others into it that's when it pisses me off. Whattaya plan on doing if a patrol sees you walking around out here?"

~Nel~
Nel nodded in response to Mana and watched after the half-Teru as she ran out the door. When Hikari set down the picture frame her attentions shifted back to her. Come to think of it, she and I haven't spoken a word to each other. The young girl took a step forward. "U-um, I-"
She was cut off as the other Reyvateil went running into the other room looking extremely upset. "Hey, wait! Please!" She quickly followed Hikari to the storage closet and tapped frantically on the door. "Ms. Hikari are you all right? Please answer me!" She quieted when she thought that she heard crying through the door. Sure enough, the other Reyvateil was sniffling quietly. "Don't cry... Umm Nel will sing you a lullaby." The girl wracked her brain. What do I do, what do I sing? What will help her feel better. Maybe, that Song. Yes, that one... That Song... My purpose...
Nels Hymn
"Come my little children before me and I shall sing you a Song. Come, little children and hear my wishes for your eternal happiness. [Sonwe! Sonwe! Sonwe soare manaf! Wearequewie ecchra enerel/. Was yea erra soare rre manaf ecchra enerel/.] [I sing! Sing! Sing the song of life! I wish for it to echo for eternity. I will be eternally happy to pray for life to echo always.]"
No, I have to keep singing...! Nel felt her energy draining rapidly and sank against the door, unable to continue the Song before succumbing to unconsciousness herself.

Gannon…
The Teru paused only long enough to make sure that Aaron was following. "A few of our group were caught in a building collapse. With the C.P.G. closing in, we had ta make a run for it. Hikari was fightin' tooth and nail ta go back for 'em but I couldn't risk her gettin' caught. "So, now that Hikari's safe, I'm goin' back for 'em." He didn't mention his suspicions that Hikari would try and sneak out to do this very same thing. "Yer comin' with 'cause I need help and none of the girls are up fer it." Gannon continued to walk in the direction they had come from not long ago. If all went well, they'd be in and out fairly quickly. A stop at the Inn and the doctor's, then a few words with Zek and a little digging. Should be easy. The only hard part would be in dodging the troops.

"I see. That does explain a few things." He did know that Hikari was stubborn about a few things when it came down to it. He wondered if she would be planning to sneak out this time. He wouldn't have put it past her. She'd attempted to do it to him a couple of times in the past, after all.
Aaron also had some suspicions of the Teru's real reason to take only him along but didn't say anything. After all, Mana herself still seemed well enough, and probably not any more tired than Aaron himself was. Unless he either had information he wanted out of Aaron or was just being chivalrous to the women. The human didn't know but he felt that he shouldn't let his guard down yet. At least he doesn't seem to be too close to her. I'd have to put a stop to that right away.

Gannon…
The walk back to town was long and slow, made even worse by the storm that continued to hammer them with wind and rain. Gannon was glad he had switched armor. At least he had a hood, as well as strong water resistance. Even standing in the downpour, he was relatively dry. He wasn't sure if he could say the same for the human traveling with him. The Teru glanced behind him at Aaron and called back to him. "Let's pick up the pace! We're still a ways away!"

The boy shook his head, water spilling down his shoulders and matched Gannon's speed. Sure, you get a change of clothes, what did the rest of us get? He'd have to pay a visit to his old dwelling. He knew that there would be clothes there for everyone else as well. It just so happened that they were just beside the Church and within its outer range of protection. It was one of the reasons that the house still stood, and that as a member of the C.P.G. he hadn't returned home in such a long time. It should still be as I left it, Aaron thought, Since our family served the church for so long. They have probably used our house a few times as a safe haven, even. But my family's belongings should still be there. He only hoped that Hikari and the others didn't get sick before they got there. "When we get to Seraca, there's somewhere I think we should stop. It's right inside the church's zone of protection so I don't think it should be dangerous or anything. But the girls are still completely soaked and I see you took the liberty of changing into something dry. There should be some clothes for everyone else there." He threw up his cape over his head. At least it was somewhat elemental resistant, so it offered some protection from the rain. "I don't want Hikari to get sicker than she already is," he added.

Gannon…
"Way ahead of ya, Human. All of our gear is at the Inn. Ya look like ya'd be a good pack mule, so yer gonna help me carry it all back. Everyone's got their own clothes and supplies. We should be good once we get back." He didn't mention that the Inn was probably surrounded by guards or that they may have to take their stuff back from armed troops.

--Aaron Leon Cecil--
Aaron gritted his teeth at the 'human' statement thrown at him by Gannon. "I happen to have a name you know."
He knew that none of the races had never really gotten along. The pure-blooded Reyvateils and Teru Tribe thought that they were better than everyone else, humans included. For some reason, in their anger with the full-blooded Reyvateils, the humans decided to pick on the Third-Generations, which were scorned by their brethren for not completely sharing their blood as well. Even the Church wasn't completely innocent. Day after day he watched his mother work tirelessly, using her magic to cure, build and destroy. She worked harder, longer, and accomplished more than the humans working there, and yet the humans took home at least a hundred more leaf than she did when payday arrived. Perhaps if she had been able to set aside that extra hundred or so weekly, she would have had enough to buy more Diquility. Mother died because of the discrimination of races, Aaron thought bitterly. When will it end? Aaron had been powerless to stop it then. He worried that he wouldn't be able to stop it now.
Sure, he would be the first one to admit that he didn't much care for the Teru Tribe or Reyvateils. But then again, he didn't much care for humans either. What's ironic is you're all the same, he thought bitterly. Maybe an end should come to this stagnant world.

Gannon…
"Yeah, yer point?" The Teru laughed inwardly at the sound of Aaron's voice. The kid didn't like being called human, eh? Well, that was just too bad in Gannon's book. "Ya help get us through this mission and we'll see about callin' ya by yer name. Dunno if I can trust ya yet. This should be a good way ta find out. Whadaya say?" With the odds against them, it would be good to have some back up. "And, hey, it's yer lucky day. Hikari seems ta like ya so I can't really come back without ya, eh?"

"Heh. That should be my line shouldn't it?" Aaron retorted dryly. "She really... seems to have warmed up to you. I warn you right now. You take advantage of that and I'll track you down to the ends of the world just so I can personally have the pleasure of tossing you into the Sea of Death," he chuckled a bit at the thought but then turned serious. They were coming up on Behdla and from the looks of it, C.P.G had the area completely blocked off. "Troops still occupying such a small town? If there was no sign of the F.P.D. that broke out, normally they would have left to scout nearby areas to search for her." He frowned. "Something's off. It's not just about finding the F.P.D. They know that Hikari was here." Damn it. The young man cursed inwardly. "I would have hoped that she had more time before they were able to start tracking her. It couldn't be helped, I suppose. The poor girl's never been out of the labs and she's really clumsy."

Gannon…
"Toss me inta the Sea of Death, eh? Lot a good that'll do, but I'd like ta see ya try. Might be fun, eh?" The two continued on in silence for a while as they approached the town. "Of course they know Hikari was here. Ya think they'd send the whole damn army for just one regular F.P.D.? But yer right about one thing... They shoulda spread out by now. Wonder if they're expecting us. Kinda insulted, really. If they knew me at all, they'd know I ain't stupid enough ta come back here. Heh..." True enough, he'd had more dealings with the C.P.G. army then he could remember. And, though he hated to admit it, they'd come to know him as well. Something different was going on here. And he didn't like it one bit. "Alright... Let's get in and get out." The Teru was using the tree line to hide himself as he surveyed the area. Just on the other side of that building is the Inn. Can't tell how many troops there are... Ya ready?"

"Not too insulting. Looks like you're right here on schedule, eh 'Stupid'?" Aaron snickered. He couldn't resist joking a bit with the Teru. It had been ages since he'd displayed any lighthearted emotions that he figured he was long overdue for a laugh or two. He shook his cape free of any water and let it fall into place behind his shoulders and back. "I'm ready. Any specific places to visit first? I don't want to waste any more energy in meaningless battles than I must."

...Tessia... "Get him out of my sight. Lock him up and then bring in the other." "Yes, Ma'am!" The soldier half carried half dragged the unconscious Nereus out of the transport. "Hey, you two. Get over here!" The soldier called to several guards patrolling in front of the transport. "Get him locked up at the Inn. We're taking him back with us when we leave." After the unconscious man was taken away, the soldier turned and headed back to where the second prisoner was awaiting questioning. "Alright. She'll see him now. Right this way." She stood and paced back and forth for a few moments as she waited for them to bring in the next person. Growing tired of waiting, she sat back down and was about to call for one of the troops when the doors opened and the soldier from before entered. "About time. Can you escort our next guest in, please?"
