Maybe I could pretend Kyra and I are going on a post-graduation road trip. To the, um, airport.

Okay, I think I may have figured this out. Kyraa and I have the exact same problem, and conveiniently, we're the same age too.
SO, if we're graduating in '07 and the event is held later in the summer AND I'm planing to go to college on the west coast, THEN it would make perfect sense for me to be spending some time over there. You know, checking out campuses, learning the local geography, finding a good place to move in..... ninja

Danti Maybe I could pretend Kyra and I are going on a post-graduation road trip. To the, um, airport. Hell, if you want to go, then that makes things easier for me. I went to England with my parents only knowing Harriet and one of her grandmothers, and because it wasn't in the US, they couldn't *Call* me every day like I'm sure they'd want to. And then again, we'd both be 18, then. All we really need to do is get jobs and start saving. <3 And... uh... get an apartment together, because I doubt our parents would let us back in the house after doing something like that.

From the responses I've gotten so far... it looks like I will be shooting for Late Summer 2007.
Oh, and there are plenty of apartments for rent in the area. wink

Going on a road trip? They don't need to know the exact reason... ninja Except they already know where I want to go to college, so I can't use the "checking out campuses" excuse. Gah.

So...sleeping arrangements. I'm fine with the floor if couches are full up, unless we're booking spaces in a nearby hotel. Either way, since I'll be driving, I can bring my own pillow and blanket.
If I'm still picking up other Midwestern Modists, I reccommend them doing the same.
I have a van, so I can take on five additional people comfortably, six people if they don't mind sharing the back seat (Mory and Weston? xd ). I'd suggest only five people, though, which will leave us more room for luggage and snacks and stuff.

Alliance, that's great! A Modmobile would be cool, and (if you allow) very usefull for going to any locations not in easy walking distance (I was in the Army, so my definition of an easy walk is suspect...).
I have a link on the first page to the Location that I'll be trying to get rooms at... it's quite nice, and affordable, for groups. 3nodding

I've made a lot of special modifications myself.

I don't know if I can go.
I'll be 16 when it's Late Summer 2007.
I may not be able to drive up to Monterey from Laguna Beach.
And also I don't know if I can go to Laguna Beach in 2007 (Finnancial Problems)
Can I RoadTrip with anyone?
Live in Texas.

Alliance, that is excellent! What is your starting region... I imagine you probably already have a list a mile long of people wanting a ride from you... sweatdrop
Kris, don't worry, after this works out, I'm sure it will motivate others to have Modcons, with any luck, this shant be a one time event. 3nodding

We should make the convention anually-basis, so every year there's a Convention. ^^
