Well, Kazuki seemed to be taking the news maturely enough. That was a good sign.
"If you're going to be a leader, you're going to have to help me recruit members once you're done bathing. Officially, so far it's just the two of us, and we'll need another five members. But I think we might be able to recruit Rendo, and whoever he was talking to. That still leaves us short three members, though."
Watching Kazuki enjoy himself in the water, Ari decided he probably should bathe, too. He couldn't remember the last time he had washed, and he probably smelled horrible. So he cautiously entered the water, careful for any rocks or things that might catch on his piercings.

Kazuki was laughing and enjoying the water when he saw Ari enter he became nervous and drifted a bit away to give the other adult room. He swam around a bit more. Then he felt that mayeb he should leave to give Ari his privacy.

Ari wasn't really paying attention to what Kazuki was doing. He was too busy enjoying the feeling of getting clean. He hadn't even realized how much dirt and dust and twigs and leaves and goodness only knew what else he had managed to get in his fur recently. He knew he should probably try to get the bigger things like twigs and leaves out soon, but right now, he was just enjoying floating about in the water.

Kazuki noticed somethign on Aris back and swam closer. He began to pull out the nasty things from the others fur very shyly and carefully. He just couldnt stand to see it there. It seemed to just distract him. He was careful to not let Ari notice.

Ari felt something swimming over toward him, and opened one eye to see what it was. Seeing it was just Kazuki, and not a little fish that could be eaten, or big fish that might attack, Ari closed his eyes in contentment again. He could feel the leaves and twigs leaving, but he thought that was just the water washing them away. It felt so good.

Kazuki continued to pull them all out then smiled. Ari had very light and pretty fur. Similiar to the light side of the moon. Bright and glistening. He blinked and shook his head realising he was staring and began to move away.

Feeling something move away, Ari opened his eyes again, and saw Kazuki.
Wait. Was Kazuki the one who had been removing the leaves and things from his fur? Ari blushed slightly, trying to ignore the awkward fact. Especially since he had enjoyed feeling clean so much...

Kazuki was blushing a bit and then just swam around acting liek he hadnt done that. HE decided he shoudl leave. He quickly same over to the shore and shook off most of the water.

Ari stayed in the water, having no particular desire to follow Kazuki after what might have just happened. He sort of wanted to sink below the water, and just forget about it.
He hadn't known that it was Kazuki who had been cleaning him, after all...So enjoying it didn't really mean anything. Right?

Kazuki laid down on the grass and watched Ari from afar. He seemed to be able to watch anythign els.e Maybe it was because ari was in his line of vision. He squirmed a bit and curled and tried to turn away but his focus woudl turn back to Ari.

Amira quietly watched the two other Modifoxes interact from her place in the bushes nearby. She had wished to discuss with one of them the possibility of joining their tribe but...she shrugged. They seemed to be slightly...occupied. Hiding another grin, Amira wandered off, figuring that they could use some alone time.

Hearing the bushes rustle on the shore, Ari glanced over there to see what it was. Hopefully not another mountain lion...No, just another kit. (He tried to ignore Kazuki, who seemed to be staring at him.) Maybe the one Rendo had been speaking with earlier? Perhaps. He really ought to try recruiting her...(Was Kazuki really staring at him? Or just something in his general direction?) But the water felt so nice, and he really didn't want to leave it just yet. (He tried to not remember that it was Kazuki, and not the water, that had gotten most of the leaves and twigs off of him.)
Shaking his head to clear his mind, he climbed out of the water, and, pointedly ignoring Kazuki, went towards where the kit had been, before she started wandering off.
"What is your name, little one?" he asked her, gently.

Amira blinked up at the other modifox in suprise. Had she really been so noticable? Oh well. "My name is Amira." she said, responding to his question. "I take it that you are going to be the elder of this tribe?"

Kazuki felt he wasnt welcomed so he got up slowly and began to leave. His tail was draging a bit since well being ignored hurt. So he disappeared under some bushes and went to climb a tree or too and get to see the lay of the land.

"I will be one of them, yes. So you have heard of the tribe we plan to create already?"
Ari watched Kazuki go sulking off, and wondered what had happened. Surely it wasn't Ari's fault? Surely it was merely something Kazuki was thinking?
He still felt guilty, though. Maybe he should go after him, see what was going on now. It was going to be hard to run a tribe, though, if he was going to have to go chasing after all of the members, including the one he had just told could be his equal.
