Joshua_Ritter So, why does everyone (as far as I can read into it) think the Veil was so strong, but is now weakening? Is it? or is it staying the same? or getting stronger, what do you think? I just had the thought that perhaps the Veil goes through natural cycles of rise and fall. For instance, coming out of the Dark Ages there was a lot of superstition and such, then moving into the Renaissance there was a decline in that. Now, in modern times it seems that things considered paranormal and superstition are back on the rise. I don't know what I believe but that's just an idea that struck me.

I'm confused.. Why did you bump this back up to the top, Zero? *had figured that this thread had not only died, but was actually rather long gone*

Jonathan:
El Ritmo de la Tierra. The rhythm of the Earth. Your idea makes quite a lot of sense, because all things in nature follow a cycle, not always regular, or "sensical" but there is always an underlying pattern.

Pageantry I'm confused.. Why did you bump this back up to the top, Zero? *had figured that this thread had not only died, but was actually rather long gone* It was dead but sense it was one of the biggest threads I want to see if it could be brought back

I think the rise and fall pattern is very close to correct. And it seems to be falling fairly quickly now.
In the past month has anyone besides me and a few others I know felt weird stuff? Lke weird surges? Waves? Ripples? Gust? I can't describe it but they feel really weird.

That would be All Hallows Eve (Samhain) for you. It is the time of the year when all boundaries are considerably lower, for everything. This was the time for witches, demons, the fae, and just about everything supernatural.
It is possible that the Veil is exhibiting an Oscillating behavior, as it crosses this point in the space-time continuum. What I mean by that is it is alternating between extremely dense, and unbelievably thin/weak. The dense moments only last so long, same for the weak ones, but you (we) are so used to it being thicker that even though it is only thin for a matter of time that we could not even attempt to record, it keeps getting to that point allowing "energy transfer" and thus jumbling your senses.
A more clear definition of what oscillating behavior being exhibited in a function: there is still a pattern, but as it draws to a certain point, it fluctuates drastically in one direcion then another, touching just about every point in the process of reaching, and passing that point.
which is why the limit as h approaches zero of that type of function is infinity, and therefore undefined.

Paraphrase please? I kinda get what you are talking about, but it's still confusing.

I think The Veil is doing this: (assume the negative Y values to be thin, and the positive Y values to be thick) ^_^ The Veil would be like the graph above, density(Y) being a function of time(X). At this time of the year, it is sky-rocketing in density, and then becoming thinner than tissue paper, but because it is doing this so rapidly, and we are used to the ten-foot thick lead wall, when it is so thin it causes the power-leakage that others may or may not be sensing. Some describe it as feeling invigorated, though I think Karma was saying that it held an odd feeling... All of that being due to it being very briefly thin, then returning to that almost instantly, as the graph actually depicts the line going through every single point on that graph, though it does not appear to. Important Note: As the graph is drawing closer to Zero, the line is going higher up, and farther down, but it is not shown within the bounds of the image (because that would be impossible...).

I'm still amazed that I'm making sense of this. Also I think that for a while it was 20 feet lead wall(comparitively) at strongest whereas you said the 10 foot one.

I can't be right all the time, especially when I only barely know what I'm talking about.
