Beatrice Kellye in the Foyer She was about to open her mouth to ask about maybe a little exploring (because what else did one do to further appreciate the odd and curious details of the house?) when a loud crash immediately shut her up.
It seemed far too loud to be just thunder, her arm instinctively latching on to the other girl in a startled death-grip.
Some of the fancy, stuck up looking staff went out to figure out what was the cause; Bea was content to stand right there for the meantime. And, from the sound of the guy's discovery, she was going to end up staying right there for quite a while longer.
"Maybe we should stay away from the windows," she murmured softly, dragging the other girl away from anything that could potentially shatter on a whim.

Queenie Powers - Dining Room The blue haired twit continued to be dismissive of Queenie's presence (and conversational interjections), even going so far as to imply that Queenie was some sort of worker under Trey? Really?
The insult stung, hitting the mark the petty little thing was probably trying to go for. Queenie felt herself grow indignant, especially when Trey's reaction was to simply try to smooth things over -- was she not worth defending from this horrendous display of disrespect?
Cross between abandoning Trey to the horrid little yapper and trying to edge her way back into the conversation, the sudden and loud crash outside had her squeaking in surprise, eyes going wide. The wind had clearly been trying to pick up in speed judging by the storm outside but the crash was so, so large....
One of the servants determined that it had been a fallen tree -- and now they were all stuck there.
Great.
"At least we weren't planning on leaving anytime soon," she mused aloud, glancing over at the other strangers she was now stuck in the same house with. "Shame people will have to go out there in all of that terrible rain to do some yardwork."

Robert Banks - Dining Room Being ignored by the larger man was a quick way for the lawyer's ego to deflate, the tape soon being tucked back away, forgotten until another piece of armor decided to unhinge itself. Hazel eyes followed after him, the silent debate crossing his expression of whether or not he should follow after him.
No -- he didn't want to give the teenager they were with any more fuel to add to the fire.
Thankfully (or not), a loud crash was quick to catch his attention as the older man's hand went flying up to his chest in automatic defense. Everyone else seemed to be spooked by the noise and after a few minutes of investigating, it was determined that their road home was no longer accessible.
Talk about inconveniencing.
"Mory, don't wander too far," Banks said idly, trying to keep his voice both steady and calm despite the fraying his nerves were currently experiencing. "With a storm as bad as this one, I wouldn't be surprised if the power is next to go."
He really hoped the power was not the next thing to go.

Jada (outfit)- Entertainment Room
Cancer Treatments? Jada's lips pursed, moving to... Black Magic? And one... Jada's eyes flicked back to Mercy, executing a curtsy, and Jada beamed at her, before returning with one of her own. Oh- she hadn't needed to do one of those in a while, and it almost felt a bit odd. It certainly made her feel younger. "Those were some odd portraits," she agreed, following Mercy's gaze.
Her date. Oh, goodness, she appreciated Mercy coming over to say hello, but Jada didn't- One sec! Mercy was darting away, moving across the room to a baby-faced young man... Jada's lips quirked with humor, and she hid her laugh by coughing as she turned back briefly to the books, and staring at the well-worn book. She couldn't read the binding- maybe the cover was different?
She turned back around as Mercy came back over, date in tow, and gave the boy a warm smile. "Jada Chamberlyn," she said, eyes lit with humor as she offered him the back of her hand expectantly- and offering Mercy a playful wink she hoped Nick wouldn't catch- "A pleasure to meet you, Ni-"
Lights flickered. "Is everything alright?" Jada tried to ask whichever Rose came near, "Do you need any assistance?"
The nausea and feeling of abandonment hit the transcended senshi, even in her civilian skin, and she swayed, looking with alarm at Mercy, grabbing at the bookshelf behind her for support. The room was almost spinning, and she tried to recover quickly, but- Scylla was gone. That warm, reassuring connection between her and her homeworld, that steady flow of the strength of the Kraken... gone. She reached out, grabbing at the well-worn book, trying to think of an excuse for her sudden vertigo. In case no one else had felt it.
Her skin felt cold, and she felt... empty. Fragile. But Jada pasted her model-professional smile on her lips, even in the darkness, and pushed upright, clutching the book tightly as she could, to ground herself-
But if anyone touched her right now, they would feel her shaking.

Marnie Rogers in the Foyer
Marnie was still examining the portraits, trying to shake the spooky feeling of being watched when she moved on, attention snagged by her bestie.
"Hey, wait! I was looking at--waaah" Marnie squealed, stumbling into the nearest object as she tried not to crash into the floor from the sudden dragging. Her knee smacked against something and her hat tumbled off her head but she managed to stay mostly upright.
"Not cool bees, at least give me some warning next time?" Marnie harumped. "Grab my hat, please."

Evren Porter arriving in the FoyerMan, she was totally party crashing... Luckily her common gothic lolita clothes made her look a little fancy she guessed. In truth, Evren had been patrolling nearby before the sudden down poor so she decided to take cover someplace with plenty of people with all the cars she just thought that this place was one of those mansion museums. So she transformed nearby into her civilian outfit... getting drenched in the process and had entered. Rubbing her arms her teeth chattered she had only managed to walk in a few steps before there was a crashing noise and the lights went out. Course Evren only responded with a couple of sneezes. "It's cold..." She said with a sniffle.

Adaline Prescott in the Dining Room
"Oh that's neat," she chirped, though it was unclear if she was being polite or if she actually thought that tidbit was neat. "Is it the, uh, shoot--" Adaline paused, fishing out her phone and going straight to trusty google to look up who'd run the charity ball that she'd met Trey at. She didn't find the information she was looking for and she wrinkled her nose, phone lowered when she looked up at the man. "Same people that you worked with for the ball?"
She wondered if this Queenie chick had been working it too. Adaline was smart enough not to ask this time.
"Oh! Yeah! It's from Scott Pilgrim!" She huffed proudly, chest puffing out a little bit when she grinned. "Ramona Flowers." If he didn't know who she was, then clarification wouldn't help but she wanted to put it out there. "Anyway, you two look real fancy, it's nice. They did a good job with the tailoring."
She wondered how much tailoring cost or how much that suit might've.
Some googling told her it was more than she wanted to know, she chose not to comment, because there was a crash and clatter and she squeaked, shuffling forward and accidentally stumbling, arms waving wildly to catch her balance by grabbing ahold of both Trey and Queenie.

Izume Sato-Himura - Entertainment roomThere was a certain sense of danger that settled over the teen as Omorose handed her a glass of sparkling wine, a certain giddy energy that probably would have seemed incredibly silly to anyone a little bit older than her, but was still a big deal to her. She certainly wasn't of age, nor was her companion, that she knew of, so the both of them having successfully managed to procure drinks was a big deal. With a murmur of thinks she accepted the glass eagerly, and brought it up for an experimental sip. Bubbly, sweet but not overly so. She'd expected it to taste like the sparkling grape juice she'd had at New Years before, and it was kind of like that, but no at the same time. She thought perhaps she preferred the other, but this came with the added benefit of intoxication. If one could call it that. "I don't think I've ever been here before, so it'd be great to have a look around, but I'm open to whatever sounds the most fun." Now that they were talking more, and now that they were there it was getting easier to open up and relax and just enjoy herself. She took another drink , glaze flicking about on the hunt for something fun to do, when the loud crash made her jump, damn near spilling her glass as she flinched and stepped in close to Omorose's side. " Damn, that sounded close!" People were murmuring, the music had skipped and the lights were flickering. Izzy slipped her arm around the other girl's again and drew her a few steps closer towards the foyer as one of the hostesses sent someone outside to check it out. As they waited, and the seconds ticked into minutes, a throughtful, uneasy smile settled on the petite teen's face. Leaning in close, she whispered in Omorose's ear. "Do you feel that?"

Vivi Beeson - FoyerSoaking wet, Vivi entered the manor , , removing her poncho to place it in a plastic bag she had brought with her for such purposes. She looked around, mesmerized at the beauty of the room, as well as the impressive size. If she had brought her sister, she just knew she'd never see the little imp again, as she would be too busy exploring. That's not to say she wasn't tempted to explore herself though, and explore she did, or at least started to, until the lights went out. "Ah! Oh no!." She frowned, reaching into her purse for her small keychain flashlight. *** Outfit

brendan gutierrez - foyer
"Whoa, hey now." Brendan raised his hands in supplication, eyes drawn to the red stain. He had arrived after the wine spilling and had honestly expected the smell of blood to accompany the waiter. "Think you guys missed a spot s'far as cleaning it up. I got curious. You, uh, need any help?"
Someone touched his arm, and he turned to see...huh. He felt a bit uneasy: she looked cute, but also young. Still, Brendan was no stranger to being suddenly approached, and his smile was bright as he took her hand with the ease of someone who had in fact been waiting. "Mmmmaybe," he replied. "You wouldn't happen to have a towel--"
A loud crash interrupted him. Suddenly the unease he felt spiked, worsened into a wave of nausea. Brendan's smile wavered as he glanced out the nearest window and the commotion that was brewing by it. "Jesus. Someone's mad." It was a joke. Sort of. You couldn't really tell anymore with magic stuff in your life.

Lorne Benoit - Entertainment RoomLorne's cheeks flushed, but he laughed regardless. It was hard not to when he was surrounded by his favorite people - and besides that, these things had just been coming... easier lately. Maybe a little bit because of what happened, or because Nadia was there, or because he wanted to be a buoying force for Auguste when he knew his friend had long been deprived. He reasoned it didn't really matter. The effect trumped the cause, and it was nice to feel good again after so long of struggling, of even in his highs being scared of when they'd be torn away. "Pity the wine's all over the floor - maybe if I helped them out a bit, more drinks would come sooner, and then we could - " Then the crash happened, and he gave a yelp of surprise despite himself - funny how he was more prone to being loud when he was scared or agonized than anything else. The first was bad enough, with Lorne mostly silent but holding fast to Nadia (and hoping she was doing the same for Auguste) just in case there was any panic. One never knew with people, and it wouldn't do them any good to be separated. Just as well considering the lights were the next thing to go. He continued to hold on tight, although this time, he was rendered tense and silent.

Desdemona Anania - Entertainment RoomIt was nice to see people wisely edged away from the pool table as they neared. Desdemona reached out when she could, sliding her fingertips along the worn felt. "Not to my recollection, " and as always, she answered cheerfully in spite of the heavy implication behind it; if she'd ever played pool before, there was no chance she would remember it. "How is it then? - you get a kiss every time one of those balls drop? - I suppose most boys wish it worked that way, " she mused playfully. Only then for a crash to resonate, and not for the first time, a tension slipped through her like a startled cat - it wasn't ungraceful the way she tensed, but it was noticeable. "The storm , " she remarked cooly, more to herself than to Otto, shrugging it off. Or attempting to. It was hard when a second crash heralded the loss of light, and not for the first time this month, she found herself in a dark room with a lot of confused people and-- Something felt wrong. Desdemona pursed her lips and leaned lightly into Otto. " Why did we leave the house again?"

Dimitri Avruch - The Foyer"You know, " Dimitri commented dryly, although not without bemusement, "I'm an opportunist, not a child - I did somehow dodge prison before you all came along. And for the record, I didn't know this was that kind of night out, Pen." He flashed them both a pearly-white smile, never mind the stolen phone in his pocket and all that. Dimitri was still Dimitri; he wasn't so enthralled by Penikisite yet to lose sight of why civility was necessary. Out of uniform, anyway. "It's a party, Blythe. Hardly a place for the civilized. Especially not Halloween parties. Those are a beast all their own." As if on-cue, there went the rolling of thunder and a flickering of lights, and he couldn't help but laugh in response. Calm down, calm down, the message was there with varying degrees of success, and who was to say what would befall the room when the lights went out entirely, coupled with the twinkling sound of showering glass - and then he just laughed harder, because honestly, "See? It's not a Halloween party without something like this."

Trey in the dining roomThe crash startled everyone at the party, Trey included, and part of him instinctively wanted to reach for the pen in his inner suit pocket for the solid feel of it when he jumped. He might not know much about fighting yet, even with Chase’s training, but he was stronger powered up, more able to protect himself. One good thing to have come from his forcible induction, at least.
The party tried to settled back into it’s jovial atmosphere, but never quite did. For Trey, an uneasy feeling crept over him and wouldn’t leave, an unease he couldn’t quite explain. He figured it was anxiety about being stuck here with a bunch of relative strangers, even as social as he usually was, but he’d changed in the last year. It was normal he that he wouldn’t find these sorts of gatherings as easy to handle as before, right? His fingers fiddled with his glass as he kept an easy smile on his face, silently willing the fire department to be quick about their work.
“It looks like things are getting exciting around here. Lovely.” He said with forced levity as Adaline grabbed his arm, pulling him off balance. “Careful there. Everything’s fine.”
He gripped her elbow till she straightened. “I think maybe I need another drink. Would either of you like something?”
He could honestly use a moment to himself, but years of training wouldn’t be denied.

Shahar (outfit) - Dining Room
The waiter didn't seem to want her assistance, and Shahar let him go with hardly a word, taking a moment to briefly amuse herself by watching the man practically tumble over himself in his escape.
The Dining Room seemed to be popping, with lots of plants and rain out the window, and food everywhere like it was modeled after some Norse mead hall or somesuch, and really, Shahar could appreciate that. What was more, she could appreciate the wine, and took some red wine from the man who offered it. More than the pretty food and the pretty plants outside, Shahar took a moment to consider the dining room and consider the pretty people.
She had thought the Ms and Ms Rose duo was pretty, but goodness. Some of the guests had certainly decided to make tonight their own. All kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors, from quite feminine, to a familiar masculine- and Shahar slid by Mathias and his group, nodding in silent greeting as she wandered by. In the distance, she could hear the sound of thunder, and Shar let her eyes roll to the window, briefly. With thunder sometimes came lightning, and that was often fascinating.
Almost as fascinating as someone she caught sight of halfway across the room- dark hair, dark skin, and a vibrant flapper-style dress that seemed to shimmy and dance around her just so. Shahar sidled her way casually across the floor towards the other woman, but then there was a loud crash. And then things started going wrong from there. The house creaking, the lights flickering, trees blocking the road... And then the light bulb explosions, and something else happened.
An emptiness, like pressure fading from her limbs, a rod, that strengthened her spine, leaving, and she felt...odd. Like she was more herself than she had been in a while, and less. Like arms were reaching for her in the darkness, making no contact, and she shook her head in bemusement, pulling her arms in to her sides, pausing by the door between the kitchens and the dining room and staring down it, looking for any signs of light. If there was some, she might follow it. She was not fond of the dark, when she felt this... discombobulated.
Torvil Mathias - couldn't not at least wave wink Beejoux Jacqueline - I do believe you rang, Bee, but there was a complication.
