Stump_Fairy Stump_Fairy Stump_Fairy Stump_Fairy Stump_Fairy Evren threw all the balls and none of them went into any. Letting out a breath of air her bangs. Holding the goldfish closer to her chest she squinted. "We're going to win another friend Sir Buttonwood... or go broke trying." It seemed Evren was determined to go through with operation save the fish and put them in a bigger tank. Evren once again threw the balls into the bowls. And this time she managed to get another ball in one of the bowls. With a smile, she took the goldfish handed to her. "Alright with Sir Buttonwood and Lady Evalyn and together we shall collect even more fish!" Yes, she was just beginning on her crusade to free these fish. With a huff, Evren managed to miss all the bowls she was aiming for this round of throws. Holding onto the bags that held the goldfish she decided to back away from the game and get some snacks before coming back to try and get some more fish. Evren returning to the ball toss with goldfish in hand. Placing them down on the corner she looked determined as she was handed another three balls. This time she decided to throw each one at a time. Of course, though each time she missed puckering her lips she sighed and picked up her fish to go wait her turn for her next throws. Once again Evren got to the bowl toss and operation save the fish was once again in full throttle. Tossing the three balls Evren missed the target every time the balls bouncing off the sides onto the ground. "Shoot..." With another three balls all missing their target Evren flopped her head down on the counter. Lips puckering in disappointment she looked over at the two fish that she had won previously… picking herself up she gave a huff of disappointment. It looks like operation save the fish was going to be a complete and total bust. Picking up the two fish and walked away from the stand. It was time to stop playing these games especially ones that she wasn’t winning on… Evren decided she was going to check out the other things at the fair and probably find a better place to store these fish if she wanted them to survive the night.

Hmmm.
Kes rubbed her nose, paying for another round. Sprinkles was safely n a cool place, so her focus was there -- aided now by the image of her new baby looking at her sorrowfully.
Sprinkles desperately needed a friend or two, and while sure pet shop fish might help, fish sharing his experiences was also great.
....or sjhe was humanizing the fish now. She blamed the spicy suasage truck next to this booth. The smell was DIVINE.

Raina loved carnivals.
She also loved carnival games, admittedly, especially games where she could win things, which was usually all of them, even if it took her a lot of money. Mama had given her a set budget to work with that day, but she knew she could give her older brother and su novio the big sad puppy eyes until they gave her more money if she ran out, she she knew she had all the money she needed.
Her first mission? Win a goldfish. With all the goldfish.
She picked up a ping pong ball and hurled it at the bowls, perhaps not entirely thinking that one through. The ball unhelpfully flew off to another planet.
Irritated, Raina squinted her eyes and concentrated just a little harder. The ball spun in the ring of the bowl and then somehow popped out like a big jerk. She threw the last ball just for good measure, and perhaps her agitation due to the lack of success just made that work worse.
Dang, she'd have to try that again...178

Fresh off his luck-change from the duck game, Owen decided to try one more time to get his new fish a tankmate - the first two throws were, as he'd feared, bad, but... .but the last one went in, and now he had two goldfish to desperately try to keep alive!

Welp, now that he had an actual goal, of course he wasn't going to be winning any fish. Jesus damn it. Why was he worried about fish anyway? Could he fry them? (Wait, no, that was terrible to think about, Brendan, honestly...)
No, better idea: he'd just win some for the kids he kept seeing around the booth. Better to let them run home and deal with the poor creatures than him. Sorta. Unless they would just kill them within the day...

This was frustrating.
Kes took a moment to collect Sprinkles carefully before migrating to the food trucks for a bit, iritably scarfing down a few spicy dishes while thinking. She had to do something better to get Sprinkles some friends! She was NOT leaving Sprinkles to loneliness! There had to be a way! Shne was rebuilding a ruin, this should be a cake walk -- mmm. Cake. Kes sighed, finishing her selection of food truck magic before gathering her things, returning to the fish toss less hungry, and paid up after setting Sprinkles up to watch -- her fish needed safe!
And soon, she was back to playing, rather less ravenous than earlier. Maybe a break helped.
