He followed behind the secretive woman, playing along with the bindings that were wrapped around his wrists. He could, of course, break free at any point but if the charade gave his 'captors' some comfort then so be it. He was lead into an interior room of the base, passed some traditional statues and up a long flight of stairs. All the while he was silent- simply taking in the surroundings. Once he arrived at a separate room his bindings were severed and he was free once more. Belamos took a seat at the table and spoke to the newly unmasked woman "On the contrary, the stress of leadership is well known to me. She seems to have a few issues to work through, though" When the woman mentioned the attacks by the Storm and the low casualty rate, a look of annoyance passed through Belamos's face "Yes, the 'Witches of the Storm' or so they're called. The Twins, the two Kage of the Storm Village, sent them here as a retaliatory attack. A very childish, reactionary judgment. Soon after they seemed to change their mind and asked me here to minimize the damage they did. I was going to come here anyways and, to tell you the truth, hoped to have stopped them all before they even got here" He threw his hands up now in a 'whatcha gonna do motion' "But it appears I was too slow. Feel free to cut me loose though and I'd be more than happy to take care of them for you" He chuckled now- he knew he wouldn't be walking out of here anytime soon. When she asked what had happened with Masato and Zhi's attacks, Belamos responded by snapping his fingers. On top of the table, a miniature version of the attack began to replay out. They looked down at it from a bird's eye view. She would be able to see Masato launch his initial assault, the short fight, followed by Zhi's attack on the Village. He purposefully omitted Tsuki's death...something he didn't want to relive "That's pretty much it. I don't have any further case to explain, nor am I here to rehash events of the past. I am here to stop a war between these two nations before it gets even worse; all this so we can unite against the enemy unseen"

After being there for and witnessing everything that happened at the gates that I totally read, Junko accompanied Kya and Belamos back to the temple. Standing behind and slightly to the side of Kya at all times, she had done her best to seem at the ready and intimidating, just as ordered to. It was her time to listen and watch in this trial by fire, so the Kemono ShinzΕ had done just that. Arms folded, she observed everything, and admired nothing.

αKya always wondered if, for her kinfolk, watching people talk was so excruciating an experience. Firstly, everyone's mouths moved so much slower than the words reaching her ears because of how skewed her perception of time was. She so often had to fight not to zone out when people were speaking to her, and it had to be something all Uchiha struggled with. But, alas, it did afford her the ability to listen for meaning and not for words, unlike so many. It made her a particularly effective kite and squadmate whenever she needed to interrogate someone, and this was still an interrogation even if it was a nice one. She spoke, initially in jest while she thought of something for Junko to do. "It's not just leading. She also has to deal with me... and several others of more or less note than is worth discussing." She shrugged, listening to him go on as she hailed an agent, who dutifully made his way over to her. "Go and retrieve a fuuton and sealing scroll, and a bucket of water." as he trotted away Kya watched the light show, seeing the Twin Kage landing amidst the flames and adding sparks to the dance. Short lived was the imagery, cut off before the Rokubi attack presumably, and then cutting to Zhi blowing up a lot of buildings and a tall... tower thing. She pinched the bridge of her nose realizing the casualties would be mountainous. "Dammit. Masato and Zhi... so much power, such a waste of life. I detest seeing such a foolish attack. I can almost understand sending something of a response, especially if they weren't initially aware that the strings were being pulled by that sea-witch. I wish I'd had the good fortune to meet her. As per your request, I am afraid I am going to have to decline. I've already dispatched agents to ensure the ones responsible for the attack are handled."
Her underling returned with her requested items. He set the bucket down at her feet, and she took the scrolls from him. A seal was formed, followed by a couple more, and a clone of herself burst into existence from a shadow, taking the scrolls and motioning for Junko to follow her down the stairs to the much roomier area below. As the two of them walked, the clone would pat her back. "Not a bad job on the whole stand scarily thing, Junko. Not bad at all. How about we get to work on some of this sealing stuff, hmm? Shouldn't hurt me to pick up a few of these as well, but I can see it in you: you'll excel at it. What are ya interested in?" [Teaching bonus to anything you wish to learn.
Meanwhile Kya stood up, walking to stand in front of Belamos. "While you have nothing else to say, there's quite a bit I wish to gather from you. Do me a favor and count backwards from one hundred and twenty. Oh and hold your breath. This won't hurt unless you suddenly start inhaling." She WAS ordered to be thorough, and to that effect, Kya needed to confirm some things. First thing first, she would simply, and very quickly, sift through memories of the Kogarashi, stopping the fast forward when he first came across Kagami, and then fast forward again until she rolled over his first meeting with Sandayu.
That is, if he didn't interfere or stop her from doing so... which he may well want to do after all...

When she declined his half serious offer, Belamos merely shrugged in response. He figured that would be the case. In fact, he reacted very little to what she said until the bucket of water was brought to her. He had...heard of this technique before. Never seen it, nor performed it, but was vaguely aware of what the woman was intending. Belamos stared down at the water as she began to manipulate it to form a bubble which floated before him. After a couple of seconds, he took a sharp inhale, as if resigning himself to this fate, and turn to glance upwards at Kya "I will agree to this...but...I must warn you. Do not stray from only that which you need to know. There are aspects of my past, of my life, that are for myself alone." He tried to avoid thinking of her, concentrating only on Kogarashi and his past with them. Tsuki existed only in his memory now, and he intended to keep her there for himself

αKya nodded to him with a solemn and knowing expression on her face... as much as Kya could look solemn anyway. He didn't know her during the days where even as much stable emotion as she was showing would have been entirely strange... when she had a single friend who could calm her storm. And then there was Chet. And now Sanae. She knew how to avoid memories, but even so while she had him here and he couldn't do much to ignore her, she decided to impart one of her sermons on him. "In action, and motion we carry forward for those of us who have been lost to the tide. So long as we continue to act, to push towards our goals no one ever truly leaves us." Simple, short and to the point which was not typically how she went about delivering her lessons. Still, the brazziers in the room burst outward, from red to azure blue for only just a few seconds as if the universe agreed with her.
And as she spied along into the memories of his time with the Kogarashi she was given pause. Pause enough for her to scan into the memories. It would seem that he had been played along after planning his own coup. Kya then saw, with certainty, that Belamos was not allied with Kagami. No, someone like him would never consider someone who lied and betrayed him anything more than walking ashes. NaKya could relate. "By the gods, you sly one. Don't worry, most of that is for putting my mind at ease. The rest of it is... interesting." She wrapped up her little foray into his mind with seeing for herself what Jay and Jeon were like, and then dropping the bubble before her curiosity got the better of her, right back into the bucket. She moved to sit back down and was quiet, considering.
"They seem fun, full of life. And hotheaded. I'd like to say I could see myself befriending them, if fate were kinder. At any rate... I suppose now the ball is in our... and more specifically my court. You gave them the head of CORE, but not of the VORTEX. They know little of the Truth Bearer. Perhaps I should bring the wrath of the black depths pon dem," she spoke rolling her neck. "I haven't had to do guerrilla warfare in a while. Might need to shake some rust off before I get moving. Once the Storm invaders are dealt with, I think I know what I will do. For now... I think it smartest if we give Chie some time with Aurelia. She has an annoying soft spot for children and I think it'll soften her up for when I bring you back before the mighty serpent."

He listened to her words as the orb approached "Well said" He muttered quietly, now prepared to take the dive. As his head plunged into the water he nearly recoiled out of it from the chill. Channeling heat through his body he warmed the water up considerably, bringing a small amount of comfort to the psuedo-waterboarding. As the seconds began to tick down he was very aware of his expiring breath. When he neared the point where he felt like his lungs were about to explode Kya removed the orb from his head, declared him to be, indeed, speaking the truth, and started muttering some other nonsense that Belamos couldn't be bothered to understand. He was too busy coughing and trying to regain the lost air. After a couple of seconds, he took a big inhale and sat back up "That was entirely unpleasant" He sputtered out, wiping the water from his face. He leaned himself up against the wall next to him, now thinking about where to go from here "Aurelia can handle herself. She is...more than what she seems. As for the witches, I care not. My focus, my only focus, is on the true threat. Hopefully, now that you've seen...now that you know, you agree as well"

αKya reclined in the seat she had elected to sit upon, fingers reaching into a backpack conveniently placed right beside it and removing a scroll. Her eyes poured over it, one leg crossing over the other in this rare moment that she had to actually do some light reading. She was acquiring knowledge in the quickest way she knew how, and that was simply by reading. She had an entire wealth of things that she could do, and she hadn't branched out in quite a while. For now, however, she simply dove headlong into the heaviest portion of her light reading. She gave no indication that difficulty at all factored in, and rather seemed to smirk at the complexities within. Genjutsu could be so delicious some times: very nefarious and insidious... She found it so lovely. And in a lot of ways she had been allowed to stagnate in her studies because what she DID know was QUITE effective. Having more toys never harmed anyone seriously. As she studied she did nod to what Belamos said to her. "You're largest concern is peace, and I respect that, but there are a great wealth of things in the world under my gaze that require MY focus and undivided attentions." Her hands collapsed the scroll, reaching for a different one and allowing her eyes to roll over some of the old bukijutsu styles she had, at one time, sought to be a master of before she found her true calling. Her tone changed, adopting something more ominous as she studied, only just barely distracted from the conversation. "I rarely concern myself with why or what when Chie gives me orders. I devoted myself only to three things in my life. Kortal Khan, your Jashin, the one above Him, and Sanae. By extension of her will of fire, I've seen to it that Uzushiogakure will live." She exhaled, continuing as her eyes continued to roll about her scroll. The mangekyo sharingan was, certainly, something to behold as it spun to life and picked apart every single word, visual representation and mantra. "To that note I see your creation, this Kogarashi, as but a childish group doing little but seeking to exact their ambitions. If they didn't threaten me and mine, I'd find em enamoring. My higher calling is to a god beyond easy comprehension. One who demands to see all of us stay moving forward, or drown in the tidal flame of destruction." Her nostrils flared outward and the braziers turned azure all over the room as her teeth grit for only a moment. "Whatever would slow the great wheel of destiny: that is what I consider a threat. As Truth Bearer it is my duty to deliver the tests that drive men and women like you, Chie, Jay and Jeon-Gyeon Park and even myself to chase dreams and goals. I uninhibit the world from reaching it's destiny in doing so." Scroll continued to unroll, eyes flickering like a fly back and forth back and forth. "That isn't to say, however, that I absolve the 'evil' or even 'good' of the consequences of their actions in seeking out their own goals. On the contrary: conflict makes us grow and teaches us to swim. See, Belamos, I am a teacher, but I am also a woman of the world subject to the whims of Nagakaborous and the lessons of Buhru." A second passed and she smirked, tone returning to it's lightness from before. "If I want something, I take it. If I hate something... I destroy it. The Kogarashi represent the undoing of the work of a great many, and I plan to test Kagami, Sandayu, and their little army against myself. Destiny will arrive all the same." She was an interesting one. Quite interesting- much more so than the woman she served. While her reasoning was different she seemed to hold many similar principles to what Belamos himself believed to be true. She was a servant of fate but believed the hand at the other end of the leash to be that of the gods. He did not know many of the words she said but understood the general gist of it. He rose, rolling his body off the wall and stretching his cramped legs "I am very familiar with the workings of the gods. Had you not heeded my warning earlier, you would have seen for yourself" He said, dropping the barest of hints regarding his past to the strange woman "As for me, my wise friend, 'peace' is a simplified term. I believe in balance. Every light casts a shadow. I wish for people to be able to live their lives however they see fit, but when those lives are cut short- when evil begins to outweigh good- I destroy it. If it were not me, fate would find another champion to do it's bidding." He smiled at the light debate in rhetoric between the two, a harsh contrast to his talks with Sandayu "There can be no creation without destruction and no love without contempt. Balance....balance is the key" He started towards the exit, assuming himself to be free. When he got to the door, he would stop, and briefly turn back "Under different circumstances, I think we could be friends. For now, though, I would settle as allies" And, presuming she did not stop him, with that he was gone.

αKya actually laughed, something less rare than many of her underlings would assume, at his inital statement. The gall of some always got her: he'd liken himself even to the likes of Kortal Khan, Magatai and the Kotobasa? She allowed him to stand, knowing he'd be itching to leave, but listened well to what he offered her. She licked her lips and stared at him as he spoke, acknowledging his understanding of balance. "Heavens above know I probably am the center point of all things contemptuous in life. The things I hate outweigh the things I love. I suppose my opposite is Sonyo. It does bring one to question, even if only in theory, what you do when good outweighs evil..." she mused. In her mind, she wondered about her special abilities, the ones she had created for herself, and as she looked over him with her eyes active she figured he was as good a candidate as any. Someone would have to be the one that would test her new toys against. She highly doubted that any skill that she levied at him would cause his death. She'd been busy, and by busy I mean forcibly stuck in place, while he had time to continue to grow and hone his skills after Otogakure. That only made him even more of a useful candidate, and with that she would reach out to stop him. [Learned all of Kya;s customs cause I think I forgot to do so, and then also learned Kuchiyose again I guess cause idr if i already have it, Pity, Beyond Comprehension, and Arrogance at the gates of Abbadon.]
"You don't want me as a friend. I tend to lose those almost as fast as enemies. Also," she would say motioning for the door before him to be closed and walking halfway down the steps to where he would be, having her clone move Junko into a space where she wouldn't be in harms way. "You aren't allowed to leave here until I've had sufficient time to see what you're made of Belamos. What say you, up for a friendly spar to pass the time?" she asked, rife with ulterior motives now that she'd heard how he felt about the world and his place in it. Her eyes flashed that deep seagreen and blue, still clearly the mangekyo but from her position looking down at him he would see all the writing tentacles as her chakra manifesting along the stairs around and behind her. She smirked a pair of shuriken now in the fingers of one hand, and three in the other, from her lightning seal.

Her words to him caused him to pause in his exit. He was silent for a handful of moments before replying "When good outweighs evil, and the world stagnates, you hardly have to do anything at all" He believed men, at heart, were not good people. Humans often times caved into baser temptations and by not stopping these people, over time, evil grows like weeds. Once he got those words out he continued to leave but was stopped by the woman, two guards closing the heavy oaken door in his face. He stared at the now blocked exit, keeping his back to her. He could hear her heading down the nearby stairs. She wanted to fight him- to see what he could do. He knew not why, but he knew what his answer would be. "And here I thought..." He said, slowly turning his head to look over his shoulder. His normal green eyes were gone, replaced by the Golden Rings of the Kinmekugan- an exceedingly rare dojutsu "...that you were never gonna ask" He turned to face her fully then, striding with confidence down the stairs and following her lead to whereever she wanted to take him.

αKya smiled as well, pulling the mask up over her lower face once more as they walked out of the room and into the one where she had just earlier that month trained Zahara and molded him. There was a clear indication as to where he could stand in the rather large underground complex. She moved the table where her scythe, kama and a few other things waited for her. She hooked the kama into her belt, and took the scythe in hand, leaving the two shruiken she'd summoned with that hand behind. Once the table were against the wall, Kya wasted no time at all, turning on him, easily 30m away, and loosing three shuriken directly at him. "Think fast," she taunted as the weapons flew deceptively fast, each one curving to strike at his left side, and two of them were even faster than the last one, which seemed to lag behind the first.

While he did not have the reflex advantage that the Sharingan bestowed upon the user, he was a battle-hardened and experienced shinobi. He had seen more destruction than most, and thus when Kya launched her Shuriken attack Belamos wasted no time hesitating in his response. Bunching his legs up underneath him, he kicked off towards his 2 o'clock to counter the Shuriken that was coming at him from his left- the projectiles would have to make a near ninety-degree arc change in order to follow his movements and even then he could just as easily stop them in their tracks. Still, Kya had asked for a friendly spar and not an all-out slug fest, so he felt it best to keep the destruction to a minimum. As he jumped to safety, he tucked his elbow in and then quickly extended his palm out in a pushing gesture. Out of his hand erupted an enormous wall of fire which quickly hurtled towards Kya. After launching the attack, Belamos would come sliding to a halt, already expecting a particular outcome.

αKya was not surprised to see that he avoided the shuriken, and her eyes had already plotted out his pathway before he reached that point. She was no slower to the draw than him when he reeled back his hands. She expected a fuuton jutsu, and as such had a rather basic response in mind. She weaved the seals with one hand and immediately pivoted, swinging her scythe, which ignited the very space in the air between them. The flames would come in contact with the Goukakyou being cleaved through, and absorbed into the attack making the crescent shaped wave, extending it's range from 48 to about 72 meters, crawled along rather quickly. As she stopped the scythe, she reached towards the sky after a rather unique set of seals. Above her head, water began to collect into the shape of a ball. What would come of that, was anyone's guess but all the while she kept her eyes on her target.

Cloud Style Flame Slash - B Rank Kumoryuu Kaengiri is a Ninjutsu technique used by Cloud ninja Atsui. After drawing his sword, Atsui will imbue Katon into his blade. Then he will unleash flaming arcs at multiple opponents. This technique is capable of igniting an area within the full 360 degrees of his body, leaving an untouched circular safe zone for himself and his comrades inside.
Beyond Comprehension - A rank This skill creates a mass of water the size of a mansion seemingly out of nowhere that forms into an orb over the course of three posts above the caster. After the final post, the water remains suspended twenty feet in the air for 10 posts. While it is forming and in the posts after it can serve as it's own location for battle and a vector for any rank of water ninjutsu as well, after which point if it isn't defeated it simply reforms the next post.

Her reaction times were pretty good, and the command she wielded over the flame was not something to scoff at- and that was coming from him. Still, if she thought she could beat him with Fire Ninjutsu she would be sorely disappointed. With a flick of his wrist, he summoned his legendary spear to his grip. Nearly mirroring her he swung the blade across his body, producing a similar arc of flame which slammed into the one she had made. The resulting collision caused both techniques to fade from existence, leaving the two staring at each other. He noticed she had used the cover brought on by the flames to create a rather large orb of water which floated above them, nearer to her. It was a peculiar technique and not one he had seen before. Regardless, he decided to press on with the battle and worry about it when it gave him something to worry about. Letting the tip of his spear dip low to the ground, Belamos spoke "I can see you've been around the block once or twice, eh?" At this, Belamos raised his foot up and tapped it back onto the ground. As soon as he did red lines of chakra spread out, tracing a beautiful pattern in the cool grey stone. It only took a moment for the veins to cover the entirety of the room, go up the walls and reconnect on the ceiling. Once they did, two things happened both instantly and simultaneously. The heat in the room took a dramatic uptick, turning the battle room into an ad hoc oven. Secondly, the entire room immediately burst into flames. Both Kya and Belamos were now standing inside a raging inferno with fire covering everything around them. Oddly enough, while quite real, the flame did not directly burn either of them "Hope you don't mind if I set the stage- this is a bite more my style. By the way...I don't think you ever told me your name" He said with a laugh, drawing back into a low defensive pose with his spear tip now definitively leveled towards the woman.

αKya chuckled as Belamos cleared the air of their little greetings as the waters continued to collect and expand in the air above them. His spear was a pretty thing: definitely something of an important worldly possession. To her, the scythe was just a tool in contrast. His own weapon lowered and he spoke, and she was somewhat antsy, bouncing a bit on her heels as he commended her. "Nah, what gives you that impression?" she asked in a mostly joking way, flourishing her own weapon from in front of her to behind her and then smirking as the flames spread out. With a small shift in her chakra flow her eyes changed and she watched the chakra as it spread out about the room. Even without it burning or harming her at all, she still was smarter than to simply stand in it. A swift motion sent her into the orb of water, emerging at the outermost edge to Belamos. "They call me Kya," she spoke as her eyes began to spin in a rotation around the dot in the center, focusing intently on his position. "Now, let's do something about this light show..." she remarked as her fingers fluttered through handseals. Three things would happen. Firstly, the rapidly expanding orb would bubble up to the side of the Uchiha and not even a second later fire in a rather violent flood directly towards him. In an odd show of power, Kya would also see to it that her technique was even more dangerous as it streaked towards him. In what would seem odd, but also a showing of precise chakra control would see her jet of water find itself sheathed in black flames that streaked through the air around it, increasing the overall power, damaging range, and general danger of it substantially. All the while, slowly the orb nearly reached it's zenith, slowly rising above her waist and overcoming her entire body again. Time to see him start moving.

Amateratsu's Blessed Breath - A rank addition to the first Similar to other known fire skills, this skill ignites any thrown projectiles of the Uchiha or their allies within their sight with intense fire, increasing and augmenting their damage with the flames. The flames are considered separate in terms of damage, and should they come in contact with a barrier or defense of equal or lower rank the flames would disintegrate the defenses and allow the no longer flaming projectile to continue unabated. One post cool down between uses.
Raging River Force - A Rank This technique is similar to the Water Torrent technique, save for a few key differences. Firstly, the power of this technique is enough to tear down most stone walls and defenses, not to mention defenses made of weaker materials. Secondly, this technique produces enough water to flood a small area. This technique can fill an area of 400 square feet (a 20x20 square) with approximately a foot of water.
Piercing Lens Piercing: Can view chakra brightly and see their shapes distinctly from other ninjutsu. Can see the type of chakra being used, be it elemental, bloodline, clan, maruton, and also covers the strength of the jutsu prior to it actually being launched. Genjutsu defense remains the same as before. Does not stack with other defense boosts. Activation DR: [ +0 Strength || + 0 Speed || +3 Reflex || +0 Fortitude ] β΅
