October, 2017
Student name: Fredrich
Prompt: Too much sugar.
Response: Too much sugar? HECK NO. There was no way the teacher could get Fredrich to complete the assignment. He was going to eat all the sugar he wanted over the holidays, and there was no way the teacher could convince him otherwise. Freddie would keep all the candies to himself, eat all the chocolate, and scream BOO at all the cavities he might get from them. Of course, it took months and years of poor oral hygiene to get a cavity. It wasn't like a month of eating too much of it was going to give him a tooth ache. Fredrich knew how to brush his teeth and wasn't overly concerned with the idea of getting tooth rot. Health and PE be damned! He was gonna eat all the junk he wanted and nobody could stop him!

October, 2017
Student name: Jango
Prompt: Too much sugar.
Response: Jango, on the other hand, didn't have to worry about eating too many sweets. Being part doll, and his body largely possessing doll features, the boy didn't have to worry about over-eating. All the boy could comfortable ingest was a special tea. Jango didn't have much in the way of tastebuds in order to taste food with. So this was a rather easy exercise for Jango.

"I'll just continue to not eat," was his answer. Shouldn't the teacher thought of this? Didn't the teacher know that there were going to be some students who couldn't eat the sugar anyways? All the same, Jango still wrote down the consequences for the average person eating too much sugar.

October, 2017
Student name: Elysia
Prompt: Too much sugar.

User ImageResponse:

Elysia thought a moment. Candy was a definite priority at this time of the year, but she always worried about eating too much. Not because she was afraid of feeling sick, but because she wanted it to last! It was always the worst when she and her sister amassed a great load of candy, only for it to disappear in three days. "I'll try to limit myself to... 5 pieces a day. I always seem to eat it really fast, and then it's gone too soon. I wanna make my loot last this year!" She grinned, her ears perking up tall and her fluffy tail flicking back and forth behind her.

Student name: Tsvetan
Prompt: Gymnastics time! (Not sure this is the right name?)

User Image

Response:

Tsvetan bit his lip gently and sighed. Strength was definitely not his forte. He doubted he could carry any more than one per hand, and not for a very long distance. He pouted and tested his arms. He approached the pile of bags and picked up one, then two, but when he went back for more he could feel his muscles protesting. His cheeks flushed and he huffed, putting the bags back down. Two it was, then. Weak, but at least it was more than one. Besides, who needed to eat that much candy anyway?! At least he wouldn't be at risk of overeating or wasting the candy...

Prompt had not been changed at the time of this post.

October, 2017
Student name: Kean
Prompt: Too much sugar.
Response: Too much sugar?! Could you really get too much sugar? Kean thought as he tried to think of a reason as to why eating too much was a bad thing. He was going for the too much sugar answer because it would be WAY to hard not to go and eat candy! It was the one month of the year that his mom allowed him to eat more candy than she normally would let him, and he was supposed to GIVE IT UP!?! No way!

So instead, he wanted to write about the con-sek-wences of eating too much candy. He scribbled down 'your tummy will get upset'. For part of it, and then had to think about it a bit more. What were the other problems with eating too much candy...? 'You won't be hungry enough for dinner... your teeth will hurt... you might never want candy again!' Though that may have gone with the 'getting sick' part of it. He certainly didn't want to eat pb again after eating too many of those pb and choco squares last year. He tried to think of more problems that came with eating too much candy, but he just couldn't think of any more! Candy was just too good!

November, 2017
Student name: Amory
Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark!
Response:

The chimera had never shot a bow before, let alone even held one, but she had been gaining height recently, and in a brief moment of rapport with her body, she thought she might actually make a good showing today.

She ignored Thian as she picked up her weapon and took a stance similar to the ones she'd seen on TV, arm bent slightly and feet a good distance apart. Her wings flared out behind her to counter knockback, her tail stayed close for stability, and...

    She let go.

The arrow cut through the air with barely a whoosh, sinking into the dead center of the target.

Amory stared. What in Below had she done?

Student name: Thian
Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark!
Response:

"Kallistos's balls," Thian muttered, watching Amory's flawless shot. Where'd she learn to do that?

He tried to mimic her positioning as well as he could, but lacking her wings and the bulk of her tail, he just ended up feeling front loaded and noodle-armed. He nocked an arrow, drew it back, and let it fly at an angle he was certain would be perfect, but it came up severely short, speeding toward the general direction of the target in a sad arc. It ended up jutting out of the very edge of the last ring, vibrating with a sullen twang.

He cast a mock glare at his friend. "If you tell a soul about this, I swear..."

November, 2017
Student name: Georgette
Prompt: Heads up, 7 up
Response: Georgette had never played this game before so he was fairly interested in it. He didn’t get picked to be ‘it’ right from the start so he sat at his desk with his head down and his thumb up, hoping he would get picked by one of the students who were ‘it’. He waited and waited, but no one picked him. The class raised their heads when the teacher called out, and the ones who were picked went up and made their guesses.

The next round started after a few of the ‘it’ students were swapped out from a few lucky guesses. He kicked a hoof against the desk leg nervously, really hoping he’d be picked this time. He almost jumped out of his chair in surprise when he felt someone touch his thumb. Grinning ear to ear as he walked up with the others at the end of the round, he looked over the seven students.

No, not that one, they were scaly and he hadn’t felt scales on his thumb. Not this one either, they had a lot of fur and he’d felt smooth flesh. Maybe this one, near the middle of the group? He said his guess, and the student he picked shook their heads. “It wasn’t me.” they told him. Maybe next time he gets picked he’ll be able to guess right. In the mean time, he went back to his desk, once again kicking the desk leg with his hoofbut with more force now and also muttering. He hated losing, even if it’s just because it was a wrong guess.

Student name: Lilly
Prompt: Heads up, 7 up
Response: Lilly was it! She looked around excitedly at the other students, rocking on her feet. She couldn’t wait for the time to go! When the teacher signal the start, Lilly tiptoed around, looking at the different students. Who to pick, who to pick. She reached for someone’s thumb but then noticed another person had tagged that student. Squinting, she moved away from that person and went to another. Just before the teacher called time, Lilly pushed down the male’s thumb. She was so excited about being it, she exclaimed in her whispered voice ”You’re it!”, not realizing she just gave herself away. Whoops.

December, 2017
Student name: - Mynsed -
Prompt: Heads up, 7 up
Response: Birkita wasn’t interested in playing this game. But the teacher wanted them to. And so, she would. But when the teacher called on students to raise their hands if they wanted to be it the first round, Birkita kept her hand down. And, while she was covering her face on the desk, thumb obediently out, Birkita hoped that no one would press down on her. She didn’t want to be it. The game was pointless.

Her breath was held while she listened carefully for footsteps. It became an entirely different game to her. Rather than wanting to be picked, her tension was over wanting not to be picked. And when the teacher called for heads up, seven up, Birkita felt her own victory from the game.

December, 2017
Student name: Nym
Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark!
Response: Nym thought he had this in the bag. Sure, he hadn’t done archery before. But it should be a piece of cake, right? It didn’t look hard. He didn’t understand why there was tournaments and how anyone could possibly miss. It was just pull the string and let go.

And so, when he did just that… he was quite sure that it wasn’t his arrow that sailed almost at a 90 degree away from the target. What. He stared blankly before his face lit up, humiliation seeping into his core. Quickly, he dropped the bow and stormed away. ”It was broken,” he snapped as an excuse, clenching his large fist.

December, 2017
Student name: Liv
Prompt: Archery, like a shot in the dark!
Response: As Nym took his shot, Liv had been priming her bow herself. Archery...it wasn't something that she was an expert in. She had only tried a handful of times, and they were...shoddy, at best. She liked not to think about it.

But trying it out was worth it. Not because she wanted to pursue it as a hobby but....Nym completely missed. The oaf probably couldn't tell what side had the arrow and just got lucky. She smirked arrogantly as she watched the hybrid turn red. "You mean to tell me that the great and powerful Nym can't even handle a bow and arrow? Pathetic" An unladylike snort fell from her lips as she went from looking at Nym to pulling up the bow and aiming. Honestly, all she wanted to do was hit the target. She didn't expect to hit the middle.

Bullseye. Her eyes went wide, lips parted in astonishment before letting out a nearly uncharacteristic whoop of victory. "Archery is a piece of cake," she gloated, eyes looking towards Nym. Maybe she'd actually pursue archery. Who knew.

December, 2017
Student name: Winter
Prompt: Heads up, 7 up
Response:

Teacher had picked Winter to be one of the starting seven. Winter was very nervous. She hated being at the front of the class and everyone starring at her. Of course they wouldn't be starring for long but then she would have to pick someone. She didn't really want to pick someone. What if they wanted their friends to pick them instead? Winter could handle a report or a project but social situations weren't really a forte of hers. When the teacher said go all the students at there desks put their heads down. It was now or never. Not wanting to be the last one to pick and everyone be waiting on her, Winter just tapped the person infront of her in the first row. Phew. Of course this was easy for the person to guess so Winter had to return to her seat. She was perfectly Okay with this. Next round she would try her best to guess wrong so she didn't have to get up there again.

Student name: SnowLily
Prompt: Heads up, 7 up
Response: Sitting at her desk, with her head down and thumb up she waited. She secretly hoped no one would pick her, she detested this game she never picked correctly. Always stuck being it until she could figure out who picked her.

Keeping very still she heard footsteps walk up the aisle to her right, the got closer and closer then suddenly they were gone. Whoever it was walked right on by her. Breathing a sigh of relief she waited for the teacher to call Heads up.

Student name: Dayeon
Prompt: Heads up, 7 up
Response: Of course Dayeon was one of the starting 7. He really did not want to play this game, he wanted to be anywhere but here playing this game. To him it was boring and a waste of time but he knew he had to.

Walking down the aisle he chose the third kid by pressing on their thumb and scuttling back to the front of the classroom as quick as he could.
