Ah, good waiting was good. Maybe they could just talk it out with the Alkidikes, they were sensible individuals right? She’d only ever met one Alkidikes and she had been awfully nice to her when she was younger. If they could just work something out with them then there would be no need for any fighting and everyone could just go home. But that thought was a childish one, Aseara knew well enough that the Alkidikes were born warriors and they wouldn’t’ back down from a good fight. She didn’t know if talking to them would do any good either.
There was some more talking and shouting, it seemed like some Alkidikes had joined their side of the war. That was a good thing right? But how could they trust them since they were Alkidikes… Aseara pulled her hair up into and even tighter bun, they needed to be ready for whatever was coming. Then the girl had said that the Alkidikes were there, at the front lines. Aseara grew nervous, wishing that she’d stayed back in the safety of Oba or that Nuri was here with her. Though technically he was here, somewhere out there readying to face the Alkidikes. She really hoped she wouldn’t’ see him here today.

Bhima- post 6
So this was it. She was without her love, unsure if she was safe or where she was held up. For now she had matters to attend to. These extremists could not be allowed to continue. With a heavy sigh she moved toward the front lines, staring into the faces of her Sisters. Could she fight? She must. Her heart ached and she began to plea a silent prayer to Aisha. She had no word for the extremists, not now. She would fight beside the Earthlings that wanted her there.
Nyiim- post 9
An announcement. Alkidike approaching. Nyiim put a hand of Syqvara's shoulder and offered her an apologetic smile. It was time. He began for the front lines, hoping the girl would follow but not quite expecting it. If she stayed behind with the healers, it couldn't be held against her. She was still young and the threat of war was new.

Vukasin- post 9
Vuka nodded. The time for training was long gone now. The Alkidike were coming. He turned to Sezarra and returned her hug, then turned to Vallen. He seemed determined to fight, or at least to stand against them.
"Good luck to you," he said to the women who had looked for him in this past week. That being said, he put his hands around the extra trident and swallowed. Well, at least it was something. If he found himself in the way he could just retreat for the healers' tent and help there.

Ime- post 10
This was it. Ime closed her eyes hard as if it might make it all go away, but of course it did not. She went up on her toes and took Thorn's face between her hands, kissing him ferociously. She hated to think that this may be the last time they were able to speak, but just in case she had something to say.
"I love you," she said, voice wavering, "Please be safe." With that she headed off for the healing tents.

Sebastien- post 7
"Oh, no, not at all, we--" Alkidike. Official announcements. Sebastien's gaze turned from Eleina to the leaders and then back to the young women beside him.
"Well, this might be it. Are you coming?" The question was posed to Eleina, as he knew Ichil would be willing to fire her bow into the approaching crowd. He began toward the front lines without really waiting for an answer, becoming one of the many mixed faces to stand up against the Alkidike extremists.
Ichil- post 7
Ah, but the time for pleasantries was coming to and end. Adrenaline rushed through Ichil's veins. If they couldn't talk to the Alkidike, it was going to be a battle, maybe the first one of a long war. She took one of Sebastien's hands and one to Eleina's, giving them a good squeeze. "Good luck, friends."
It took only a second before he felt the nudge behind him, and he swung around to see what the hell was going on. His eyes caught Sanele's laughing ones, and he glowered at her in good fun. It was refreshing to see another face, and he was glad it was the racer. Although he wasn't sure about her fighting, at least he knew she had a solid head on her shoulders, and Simba by her side.
"Watch yourself, racer, you don't want to get hurt rushing around the warzone." He glanced to his friends, and quickly provided the same introductions as before, giving each their name in a curt manner before focusing on the conversation once more. Of course, he also made sure to reach and scratch Simba near his beak, his eyes warming at the sight of the Xaraan despite the fact there were so many Alks heading their way.
It was then he was caught off guard again, as a young shifter tumbled into the group. Nuri's eyes snapped to Saraf, well aware of his friend's feelings on the race, and he watched their interaction with thin lips and a set jaw. This chaos of the civilians was causing his muscles to set in tense lines. Thankfully, Kalliope seemed to sense their tension and came to drag the boy away, and Nuri gave her a quick nod in response.
As they walked away, Karothdra spoke up, and Nuri was back again in the discussion.
"Moving closer would be best, we wouldn't want them to get any ideas of breaking the lines, and Naraka always does better when he has space in front of him."
Nodding to his familiar, he looked to his allies. He gauged all of their skills and strengths, and determined he was quite pleased with the Obans beside him. He knew they would hold each other's back and hold the line down, their strength and training something he wouldn't pass up. It would most likely save his life if a fight truly broke out.
With that thought in mind, he began to move through the crowd and closer to the enemy.

Eziya Post 10
She had finally finished up her tent and gotten everything situated when she heard someone shout her name. Surprised by the sudden noise both she and Gift jerked their heads up to glance around. Scanning the crowd she finally spotted who she assumed it was.
"Araie!" She was pleased to see her friend and that she wouldn't be alone when the battle came. She had heard the shouts that the Alkidike were approaching and it had made her nervous. The healer's tents were all ready and she would do her best to help and protect whoever came to them. She just hoped everyone stayed safe.
"It looks like our reunion is going to be cut short," she muttered, glancing over as she spotted a young hybrid looking at Araie. Had she had a child of her own? "Is he....yours?" If the boy wasn't they were going to have to find his family and fast, or make sure he was thoroughly protected.

Dezani Post 10
Looking between the two women interacting and out towards the main lines, Dezani had a decision to make. He could stick close to them and help keep the tents safe, or go out and fight on the front lines. With his abilities it was best if he went out on the front lines, but he did worry about the others. Especially now that this little one had decided to interact with Araie. Kneeling down before the boy, he smiled at him and patted his head.
"I need you to look after these two ladies, okay?" he spoke gently, while Raiha nuzzled against the boy. He would have to go to the front lines so he could protect what was dear to him. Turning back to Araie, he kissed her hand lightly before stepping away.
"Stay with Eziya and the little boy. I'm going to go to the front lines."

Sorry for double quoting, but Dezani and Eziya are both next to Araie so I wanted to make sure you knew they were interacting with Nimueh too. ^^'
Kani Post 10
Hearing the sounds of the Alkidike approaching, Kani finished up her prayers and turned to look at Gael. She had hoped the Alkidike would have been a bit slower to arrive, but luck was not in their favor it seemed. With war approaching, she wasn't sure if she wanted Gael to go out there. She'd feel a whole lot better if he was safe and out of harms way, but she wasn't sure if that was possible at this point. She had been selfish for asking him to come when he didn't want to.
"I'm sorry, Gael. I shouldn't have asked you to come. Now you'll be in a lot of danger because I asked you to be here," she sighed, hugging him quickly. "I guess I should head out to the front lines. I won't ask you to get so close and risk your life for this cause."

"Just in case that trident is too big for ya, kid," she said, pulling out one of her daggers and handing it to him. "Something smaller for you to wield. Though I hope it doesn't come to that. Be safe and stick close to your family." She turned back to Phaedra then, stretching as she looked at her. She was sure the leaf woman would want to go out onto the front line. That's where her talents were best utilized. As for her, she was better at sneaking and ambushing, but the ambush parties had already left while she was concerned about a kid. That's how it always was.
"I suppose I'm going to the front line then. The ambush teams headed out a while ago," she chuckled, shrugging. "I'll protect you if you need it, gorgeous."

Zumei Post 9
The sounds of the Alkidike coming forced Zumei to make a decision. She couldn't exactly take two extremely different weapons onto the battlefield against the warrior women. She would have to decide now, and fast. Looking between the two weapons and back towards Eije, she thought over her options. Eije was already a great swordsmen. She was sure she would just get even better too. While she didn't want to base her decision solely on that, she liked Eije a lot and knew she would never be able to keep up to her skills as a swordsmen, but if she could do something different she could get just as good....picking up the hammer, she grinned at the ice girl who had been helping her this entire time.
"Looks like I'll just have to smash them with my big hammer so that you can come behind me and cut them up with your fast sword skills!" While it may not even come to that, at least she would be more ready than she was before.

Sanele Post 8 :: With the soldiers of the ObanMatori camp
Sanelee was not impressed with the shifter boy... "You shouldn't be running around with animals if you can't control them." She said tartly to the shifter boy. "Go take them someplace they won't cause chaos or get hurt." Did the tendajians not believe in training their beasts? And why would you bring ones you can't keep under control to a war zone? Guess the kid is trying to show off? She thought with disgust; there are better times and places for that.. this is not it.
"Don't diss old grannies." Sanele said with a chuckle at the more serious looking warrior (and only guy now that she was looking) standing by Nuri's side. "Grannies are mean and have way too much cunning for their own good."
She dismounted from Simba. "Guess we should move forward... looks like things will go down hill real fast... Somehow I don't see them just leaving after coming this far." She wished they would... but these were the tribes that had survived her people's first attacks.... they were not weak, that was for certain! She untied Simba's bridle and stashed it in the back of her belt; that way Simba could fight or run without worrying about another trying to take control of him. "Wish I'd learned to fight while mounted." She said with a sigh. "It'd be easier to match the Alkidikes at least..." She was going to stick with Nuri and his soldier friend.. that way it'd be safer... hopefully. On'os keep me safe and Jonal aid me, she prayed silently.

Talin post 11 :: On the Alkidike side of the battlefield about to Ambush a nearby Alkidike group of Extremists
Talin smirked and shook his head at Ouen. Of course that boy had weaseled his way in.... It'll be good practice for him, Talin. "Should have brought more snacks." He said softly as he tossed some of his dried meat strips at the kids head. "Never fight on an empty stomach.. you'll faint in battle and I will mock you forever. "
He went silent when the Alkidikes showed up on the horizon. There were a lot of them... good thing we have people from other tribes here, he thought, otherwise this would be a very bloody battle for us. He'd survive of course, but that didn't mean his people would be as lucky as he was. Not like Chi could watch over them all the way she did him right?
He waited until the main group of Alkidikes had passed and held a hand up slightly to indicate that his group ready themselves... they would strike soon.... He didn't care that they had stopped to talk; Alkidikes were here to conquer not talk.. so why bother trying to? Better to just kill them. Plus they could get the stragglers, strike from behind and distract the main group while his side's army charged.

Maya Post 10
It had only taken Maya another hour to reach the first of the blockade. And she wasn't surprised to see several sisters breaking away ahead of her in search of others. It was the information that had been passed to her that made her pause and think. Alkidikes of all kinds were being turned away. Her eyes lingered on the blockade as if trying to see past them, through them, as if somehow she could see Shukri in all the madness. As if part of her could be convinced that Teiluj was safe there when she had failed to find her in Ast. There had been no indication that anyone was still back at the house. As if in response to her tension Kakkara was also exhibiting a more aggressive stance as he moved. Every once in a while snarling fits broke out before Maya gave him a gentle pat to relax him.
Her own worries continued to go vocalized as they paced outside the blockade. A first line of defense, yes she had expected to find herself here eventually but to be denied the ability to go further in was vexing. It was only a matter of time after her own arrival that the extremists showed up. Keeping her distance her antenna twitched when Rishima stepped forward to speak to them. To Aselia in particular. This whole thing was starting to make her head spin. Distracted by Ariya speaking Maya's antenna twitched at her concern. Turning her head to look at the girl through the corner of her eyes Maya wasn't sure how to respond.
It was an odd feeling to find another sister refer to anyone other than Aisha as mother. She herself was raised among older Alkidike but in a more communal way, there wasn't just one mother other than Aisha. But a bunch of bigger sisters who helped each other to grow and develop. It was her own selfishness that she had approached her mother Aisha in order to bring her daughter into the world and in the end she wasn't granted a child based in her image but rather had ended up adopting Teiluj due to her love of the earthling tribes. Not that she would ever vocalize such things. "I guess you wont really know until the time comes. Hopefully we can conclude this without too much trouble."

Shaka chuckled and waved a hand airily at Cerith. "Ahh... yer est being pesstimistic. There's a bunch of those tall ladies... but we've got a fair number on our side too... Plus it wasn't jest the Alks who held off the Obans.. it was all the other tribes too... Ah bet this won't be as bad as ye think."
Oltia gave a soft hiss and nudged Cerith gently. She had gotten used to being petted and since Mynshaka was obviously ill placed to scratch the itch on her brow perhaps this familiar scented person would oblige....
"Oltia's got a good memory. She ain't gonna bite ye so no need to fret." His grip on the reins tightened when he heard the calls go of; Alkidikes incoming! "Guess it's time to get to the front lines..." He said with a sigh. He'd rather stay and chat..didn't want it to happen just yet... but time never obeyed anyone and just kept on moving. How would his people fight? They hadn't exactly had time to train or anything, not as an army anyways.

Vollerei post 10 Standing with the alkidikes on the front lines
Vollerei saw one Alkidike get turned away from the camp and heard why she wanted to enter.... her son? Guess she's one who pleaded to Aisha with an earthling... I wonder how many of our sisters are in her position right now.. having to fight Sisters to defend their families? She sighed and walked over to the slightly younger woman. "Best you wait to go searching till after battle to go looking.. if we're inside the camp now, with the idiots threatening them?" She shrugged. "Odds are you'll get attacked.. nervous people aren't the most intelligent... angry people are even worse. "She sighed and turned her attention to the ranks in front of them. Glad Neska is not here.. or Niabi, she thought. This would break either of them I think, to be forced to fight their own Sisters.

Rayolun post 9 :: Front lines! "Some may just be in that group because the rest of their sisters are," Rayoln said as he followed his wife. "They may not agree but felt they could not stand against their more angry and extreme sisters. Better to stand with family than against maybe?" Though if they were, they were just as stupid... better to speak out, fight back than to dumbly follow. Or they could have at least refused to join in.... I wonder what happened on their isles? Eino and Ronwin trotted after them, tails lashing eagerly as they felt the tension in the air and smelled battle to come.
"Do you think that our leaders could convince some to leave? I don't think all of that group of angry women can be reasoned with... but maybe some. And they are waiting for talks.. rudely, but still waiting." He said with a shake of his head as the Matron's rude demands rolled across the field in front of them.
Oh...well then. He looked to the small female Oban. Giving her a small smile, he actually felt really alone at the moment. Not for long as he heard the swift feet of his Zanteer. Ullyee easily slid to his other side. Her amber eyes narrowed on the female Oban before nudging between them. Her tail curled around the youth as the other two lumbered in. Abysio didn't growl at the Obans, though he did glare. Saalin on the other hand did growl, only to fall silent as Issaly reached out to touch his head. Proof the youth had some control over the two. He nodded before bowing. "I'm deeply sorry for interuppting. My name is Issaly~ If any of you want to chat after this is all done with. I wouldn't mind! Ullyee. Abysio. Saalin..."
He glared to the meek sprite hiding in Saalin's headfins. "...Therus. Lets follow this young woman to the healers tents. We'll be most useful there." He nodded to Kalli to let her know it was okay to lead the way. The glint of his pendant caught the light...
Isaris Post 6
The male followed his smaller...lover? No that wasn't right...just. Followed Val, that would do for now. He looked around at the tents...wait. Papa was here. "Where's Issaly?"
He was now dreaded the reply. Issaly was safe...he had to be. Issaly had to be safe.

Rishima Post 10
This seemed to only continue to grow that much more tense around him, something that was making his antennae twitch... but he did his best to block it all out. He wasn't here for war after all and as such he needed to do his best to focus not on those who seemed to be after blood but instead give his full attention to Aselia now that she had agreed to speak with him. This was a good thing, it meant that there was at least a chance. She'd even taken a step closer to him, something he hoped was a good sign, and moved to do the same, taking couple steps closer so that the gap between them was smaller and would allow them to speak more easily.
"It is a shame, Aselia, but it doesn't have to be this way. Surely a battle between our sisters isn't something that you really want to be a part of." He said, not wanting her to be a part of, wanting to lead her away from. He'd seen war before and it wasn't something that people should take lightly. The extremists, he found himself wondering how many of them had actually battled against Oba, how many of them had seen what war could wrought? Giving a soft smile he looked around for a moment, then back to Aselia, "I think you know very well what it is that we need to talk about, Aselia, let's be the level headed ones in the midst of all the name calling and yelling."
He listed to her question about the firebirds and he gave a shake of his head, "No, I wouldn't gloat about that. I would ask why you didn't come to me though? I am the one that found their nests in the first place back when you were in need of their feathers, I could have at least pointed you to where I'd seen them. Please, don't tell me that you're so stubborn, little sister, that you didn't want to ask for help?" He asked that while giving her an affectionate sort of smile, as though it were just the two of them talking and that they weren't surrounded by two sides facing off.

Kalliope Post 11
She noticed that Nuri gave her a nod and she smiled at him as well. When the shifter's familiars came into the picture, one even growling, she looked at them and arched a brow. It didn't bother her too much, her mother was a beast tamer. She understood the creatures enough not to take it personal. So when the boy said he'd follow she nodded her head and started once more toward the healer's tents. There was commotion along the front and Kalliope wondered just how bloody this battle would get. Maybe fighting would even be needed but just in case... her hand went down to the dagger that was hidden by her skirt, mostly to make sure it was there. Reassured by the feel of it she gave a sigh of relief then glanced back at Issaly. "Sorry about pulling you away like that. The soldiers are tense. I'm Kalliope."

Clutching her staff tightly she looked up at Nyiim. When he started toward the front lines she took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She couldn't back out now. Within seconds she followed after the leaf man that she had kept company for the trip across Tale and into Sauti. Sy needed to find a good place to cast spells from.
