Introduction
Unfortunately, most probably know Zuri as the weird girl as it only takes minimal interaction before you can safely peg her awkward. While none of her hobbies or antics are so far out there that she's truly something else, Zuri's misguided attempts to change her image and her determination to display herself as something is isn't can be far from comfortable for some.
Body.
❃ Hair. Black
❃ Eyes. Grey
❃ Height. 5"2'
❃ Build. Lean
❃ Orientation. Pansexual but hesitant
Schooling.
❃ Year. Senior.
❃ Studying. Psychology
Positive Traits.
❃ Firm. While she may be timid in other aspects, Zuri is able to raise her voice and assert herself when she feels strongly about something. If she doesn't like the situation or the favor, she will easily let you know no.
❃ Intense Listener. Zuri can listen for days. If you need someone to talk to, she's usually the perfect person. Her quiet side and patient expression can make it too easy sometimes to tell her more than intend too.
❃ Comforter. The Nixie does not like seeing others unhappy and tries to resolve things as best as possible. While she'll let her inner turmoil roll for days, she enjoys others in bliss and in their best spirits. Grouped with the above, this makes her a natural comforter though she sometimes tries to extend this to strangers which can get pretty awkward depending who.
❃ Bibliophile. Zuri reads a lot, mostly in subjects pertaining to her class and psychology. This translates into her life with lots of big and odd words that make her sound like an outsider. It's not really a Nixie thing, just Zuri being Zuri. She knows when to put her book down and interact with others though.
❃ Trusting. The Nixie is not naive but she does easily trust others. It's often sort of quiet and some may not realize how dedicated she is as she isn't very expressive about her relationships, romantic and platonic. This also allows her to go along with almost anything but Zuri still does have a very even head and knows when she's about to do something she doesn't want to.
Negative Traits.
❃ Blank. Those not very intimately familiar with Zuri may find her very hard to read. The Nixie is not very expressive and her face does not often betray her - she only shows the emotions she wants and most of the time her blank face is very passive. Some may find this unsettling and it's often attributed to her weird girl status unfortunately.
❃ Hypocrite. Almost everything Zuri can do for others such as be rational, give amazing advice, or a boost of confidence she fails to do for herself. While she can raise her voice when she makes up her mind, Zuri treats herself to a different set of standards than she does other people so she's very much 'do what I say, not what I do.'
❃ Avoidant. Zuri likes to resolve any conflicts but her own. As part of her past and awkwardness in her old home, Zuri actively avoids most Nixie for fear she went to school with them. She's trying hard to reinvent herself and be more true to who she really is, and for that she's trying to avoid what she left behind.
❃ Self Loathing. To an extent. Zuri really has an identity crisis going on, and while she told herself she was transferring to the Academy in order to start fresh and be herself, the Nixie has had some trouble actually figuring out who she is. She's not really sure anymore if her old self was "really" her and this new persona is the forced one or the other way around. It has left her really confused and without a moderator for her own thoughts, she just walks away frustrated with herself.
❃ Dull. In order to try and reinvent her image, Zuri has toned herself down dramatically. While he is naturally sort of a blank faced and relaxed girl, sometimes when she feels too enthusiastic or smiley she'll pull a 180 and change her attitude on a dime. It's something she's working through.
Enjoys.
Anyone familiar with Nixie knows they all have a signature scent for their favorite salves, and those who know Zuri know she loves the smell of vanilla bean. Otherwise Zuri rather enjoys reading and as she gets ready to dive into the Asphodel university system, the Nixie has really found herself dedicated to psychology so she can get ahead of the crowd once she graduates.
History.
Zuri was born in one of the floating Nixie cities isolated from the rest of Below. When word came that contact had been established with the other races and that Nixie and Grimm were being exchanged with the Academy at Asphodel, Zuri was one of the first to volunteer herself with her parent's permission.

Room
Zuri does not have a way in possessions, mostly because she only recently transferred to the Academy and did not bring much with her for a clean start. The things she does have are neatly tucked away for she enjoy her privacy, though the Nixie believes her roommates think she's hiding something. I assure you she's not - with only a few possessions, it's pretty easy to live clean and tidy!
