Erza was almost - almost, mind you - more interested in figuring out whether or not Teacher Kirket's lime-jello looking tail was edible than paying attention to what they were supposed to be doing. The Freshling managed to do fourty-six jumping jacks before their little body gave out and they had to sit their sweaty, exhausted self down to catch ragged breath. That was kind of fun, but I'm beat now. Wonder how Gilby or Jazi would do...I bet I did more jumping jacks than both of them put together could ! Yeah, I bet I'm right. They would have to tell Twitch all about doing P.E. - and teacher's delicious-looking tail - later.

Hailey had asked a very good question. He thought it over for a moment, it was a rather.. individual thing after all. "Well, I'd say that it mostly depends on the person, but there are a few common ways that people let others know they don't want to be touched or have others near them without speaking..." He started slowly, thinking what he wanted to say through.
"For example, some people may cross their arms over their chests, or keep their eyes down, or move away a little when approached... It's usually a subtle thing that requires paying attention to body language." He smiled a little. "Though some races display it a little better than others, some Grimm I've known pin their ears back, some Geists flare their tendrils... Demons lash their tails... It's not a 100 percent thing for all people, but those are some useful things to look out for."

Hailey leaned forward, arms crossed over the top of her desk, as she listened while their teacher spoke to answer her question. Some of the things he said she kind of figured, but others she hadn't really even gave any thought to before. Not to mention she was terrible at picking up on subtle things. Man... figuring this sort of thing out was something that was going to take some serious getting used to while trying to pick up on little hints like that. But she was still grateful, and even smiled as she perked up some. "Thanks, Mr. Kirket!" she chimed to him.

Matilda was just having a bad day. She was almost late to class, which caused her to skip breakfast. She rushed over, and when she arrived, was out of breath with a cramp in her side. When she heard that the exercise of the day was jumping jacks, she let out a loud groan, slumping forward. She managed to do ten mediocre jumping jacks before trudging over to the teacher and asking to get some water and sit down. She knew she was going to get marked off for her poor effort, but frankly she didn't care all that much at the moment.

Dianthe didn't particularly like cardio-exercise days. She only really enjoyed P.E. when they were doing stretching or yoga. Nevertheless, the little Litch girl gave it her all. It wasn't much, but 34 jumping jacks was her new record, three more than last time. She gave the teacher the amount she had completed with a smile, panting lightly as she joined the line of Freshlings to get water.

After taking a test and returning to her desk, Rose put her name on the top and got to work. The questions were almost too obvious, and were clearly meant to trip up the kids in the class that slept through all the informational lectures and videos. She finished it with time to spare, which meant she covered a corner in swirling vines before deeming it acceptable to turn in.

Ella was good at sports. She had always exceeded at them and found them a thousand times more interesting than any of the other subjects in school. So, when Kirket ushered them to do jumping jacks she immediately threw herself into the activity. Sadly, it wasn't long (or at least to her!) before a cramp ran up her leg due to her not stretching earlier, a sharp cry leaving her mouth as she fell over to rub her stinging leg.
"I'm sorry! I only managed 55.... ow." She whimpered as she rubbed at her leg, wincing before scooting out of everyone's way.

Perhaps she got... a little overzealous. "Jumping jacks? I don't know what those are, but I can do them!" she said as she jumped up from her spot, running up in front of the class to try and follow the example of the other students.
"1... 2... 3... 4..." She began doing her jumping jacks with relative ease, a big proud smile on her face as she went on. "12... 13... 14... 15... Oh!"
It was after her 15th jack that she realized her feet weren't even touching the floor the next time she went to jump, her wings doing a soft flutter behind her as her arms waved around. In general, she looked rather silly.
"Oops! I started flying!"

Ugh, not jumping jacks. P.E. was tiring enough as it is. Why couldn't this just be a non-physical day? Sit down and learn about stuff instead of doing it? Even before it was her turn to get up, Lilianne felt exhausted.
Why me... she thought with a sigh once it finally was her turn. She rose from her spot, dusting off her gym shorts before making her way in front of the class. She took in a deep breath, before starting.
The goal was to make it to 100, and... despite her reservations, she did relatively well, at least leagues better than the last girl that went up.
After her fifty-fifth jack, she dropped to her knees, panting from exhaustion.
"That's all I've got in me," she said tiredly, her head shaking slightly as if to try and shake some of the sweat from her hair.

"Twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty ... ! Thirty ... one ... ! Thirty ... two!" Joselyn rasped, suddenly dropped her arms to her sides. breathing heavily. Whooa, she was not an overly fit person. Why was this so tiring? Hopefully she managed to do enough pass the class ...

Jumping jacks...? Saerun watched as the other freshlings did their task, frowning to herself... she wasn't really sure she wanted to do this activity... Oh well... When it was her group's turn she stood up and set about jumping in place, half-heartedly doing the motions correctly. She didn't make it very far before getting extremely tired, though. In the end she plopped back down and resumed watching the others.

Rowan was fairly active, but not even nearly as good at sports as Ella was, generally speaking. They tended to be a little clumsy, and often forgot to breathe during exercise which made them grow tired quicker. But this time, after careful stretching and warming up, Rowan felt like they could do the jumping jacks almost forever! The little hybrid managed to get all the way to 92 before growing too tired to continue, and felt really proud of themselves, while at the same time Ella's leg cramp made them feel kind of bad..

Mana wasn't exactly the sporty type. Sometimes exercise was fun, but for the most part they preferred being indoors and reading. Still, no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't make it past 12 jumping jacks - and at the last they managed to land their foot in an awkward position, making them fall face first into the floor. Nearly in tears out of embarrassment, Mana retreated closer to the wall.

Gale had been doing her jumping jacks beside her sister, and when Joselyn buckled and gave up panting, Gale kept laughing and jumping away until she exhausted herself, making her way in to the early 50s before feeling tuckered out herself. With a small little laugh, Gale wheezed. "Haa! Beat you, Jose!" Panting heavily, the girl's knees felt like jello. She needed as much fitness as Joselyn did, and could feel how stagnant she was used to being just by doing this simple exercise.
