Her hair was enough to protect the back of her neck, but she was going to be red and potentially sunburned if she spent too much time out here without protection. Her arms would be fine, probably. Beginning the long process of pulling her hair through the opening in the back of the cap, Ajicka started walking. Joltik had moved around to cling to Houndoom's stomach, out of the heat, which brought a smirk to the trainer's lips.

What a heat wimp.... though she had to admire his ingenuity. Using the fire pokemon to block himself from the heat. Not that she could imagine Houndoom was exactly cool, but his heat was still probably better than being in direct sun light, and Joltik likely would have had to deal with that too. Not to mention the hot sun. Houndoom clearly wasn't bothered, either, given this was practically a natural environment for him. Sableye, however.... Ajicka couldn't help but find some amusement in the wilted frown on the ghost-dark pokemon's face. Someone was obviously miserable....

Sableye gave a low, groaning sound. 'Perhaps I am not best suited for this environment, dear. A better choice might be--' she started, but Ajicka waved her off. "You wanted to help, so help. You're not an ice type, you won't melt, so get moving," she urged, already making a quick pace towards the ruins.

Tossing her hair back, Ajicka frowned some. Gosh, it was sort of hard to look around here.... There wasn't a lot of places besides sand that it could be hidden in. She was looking around the ruins, but-- 'Here. Leave. Now. Please.' Ajicka blinked and looked over at Sableye, raising her eyebrows some. She was tempted to take her time, but the pokemon really did look miserable, so she picked up the egg and whistled for Houndoom. The two were able to get to Desert Resort fairly quickly thanks to Lidia, but as Zak was pulling out a cap, Meebus moved forward again. I got you one, he informed him out of the blue, looking at Zak. The Russian stared. ".... One what?" he asked. Meebus was getting borderline creepy, with all this staring and random interjections. ... An egg, Zak-hav. It is in your bag. I found it while we were in Castlia, after checking the information, he explained, sliding back slightly. Zak eyed him, then turned, checking his bag, and pulling it out to look over. Huh.... So they were just plastic eggs? Weird.... But alright. "Think you can find some more?" he asked, looking back to him as he put the egg away. Meebus nodded, his whole body moving with the motion, as he slid back. It would be useful to have help, however, he admitted. With Meebus and Totodile going off to try and find these 'eggs', Zak turned his attention to his communicator. He'd heard it go off in Castelia, but he'd been busy dealing with Meebus, and hadn't had time to check it before Lidia came to get him. Knowing who it was from, he opened it on his wrist, adjusting his hat and moving towards the ruins to see if he could try and find some shade. He slowed some as he read the message, though, frowning. Not in displeasure this time, however, but in discomfort.
I don't know. I should be asking you, you're the expert after all. What did you think of my practice earlier, my little shadow? I'd begun to worry you'd forgotten about me.
He looked away, oddly moving his hand to cover the hologram a moment, hiding the message. Behind his tinted glasses, he was thinking, and at the same time, dodging thoughts and responses. He shook his head and dropped his hand down, making a beeline for the only shade he could find, and only stopping once he was in it, and leaning back against the structure, to give a response.

If she was paying attention, she might have noticed the rearrangement of order of responses in there, and the implications. He certainly did. He dropped back against the pillar, not really thinking, or caring, about it's durability. If it was still standing, it could support his weight, as far as he was concerned. He frowned at the ground, his hands by his sides. This was... remarkably stupid. The way his head was twisted into knots, his thoughts locked and skewed. He.... got it, he understood the implications, what it was all about, but why didn't make sense to him. He'd been very certain of who he was his whole life, what he was, even if he didn't come to terms with expressing it until he was older. He'd still known. This threw so much of that out of the water, though... It made his head hurt.

He kind of wondered how she managed to do it. Not everyone had the patience to deal with a man who well… spoke with his fists. Most tended to run the hell off at that point. Maybe… that was where his concerns stemmed from. They were in the Desert Resort now and Lafayette and to pull out his hat to shield his eyes from the sand storm. It seemed that even in the night time, they didn’t let up any. He wasn’t sure at this point if there was much home in continuing with the search given that it was now dark, but Cheri seemed confident in her ability to locate the egg along with forcing Noah to help. She was fortunate enough to find it somehow, which was impressive and stifling a yawn he summoned Dova to take them to the next place.
