Well, of course, it wasn't in his active party, presently, and at the time, he certainly had no intention of making it so. The stronger cosmog stared at him before turning and bouncing off, but the more friendly, irritatingly comforting one, came closer. Instantly, the small, snake-like pokemon around his wrist began to glow, almost as if in warning. Adder jerked away from trying to pry it off, anticipating a shock, but nothing happened. He frowned. As cosmog approached, the pokemon began glowing more brightly, more often, almost urgently. Adder noticed, and glanced between it and the puff-gas, mouth open and brow furrowed in confusion. What.... Was it warning it...? He bristled as he caught on, flushing a bit. "I'm not a danger!" she shrieked, his voice embarrassingly cracking a bit. His blush darkened but his stare quickly turned into a glare, as if that were the little pokemon's fault. And it was! Totally!
... Stupid freaking... teenager stuff...

Eyes that Adder hadn't noticed before, electric blue, and in stark contrast to a black body, finally turned to look up at Adder for the first time. He stiffened a bit. There was something to the pokemon's stare. Something piercing, like it was reading his mind. Was it psychic...? He shook his head, sense finally coming to him, as he quickly fumbled for his pokedex. It occurred to him that he had caught it without knowing what it even was. Not smart, at all, but it hadn't exactly been his choice. The thing had attacked him! And when it was knocked out, he caught it! But whatever... he could find out now. Maybe this whole clinging thing was normal for it's species...

Adjusting the pokedex (which was awkward, seeing as he was only using one hand), Adder finally managed to point it at the foreign pokemon. "Klow, the Night Glow Pokemon. These tiny snake-like pokemon playfully glide through the air and light the night with the soft electric glow of their bodies," the pokedex red. Adder frowned. That didn't tell him much. He hit the next entry. "Klow have been known to wrap themselves around the legs of predators, using their natural glow to warn others of danger." Adder snapped the machine shut and glared at the pokemon on his wrist. "I knew it!" he accused, flushing. He gave his hand a sharp shake, but still the pokemon clung on. "I said I'm not a danger! I'm certainly not a predator! Now let go!" he insisted.

Ohmarow wondered how many trainers had come to the tournament and of those how many had been beaten. He figured it had to be in the ballpark of fifty plus. It made sense for about that many at least to have come. The chance to battle what people deemed a deity would appeal to must any trainer who wanted to test their strength. Somewhere sure to have come far and wide for this chance. It meant the overall competition was stiff. He was a late arrival though so most of the competition would probably have already ben eliminated by now. That was good though. He didn't need to beat the most, just stay undefeated until he could face whoever was left with the most. Less work, more reward.
The intercoms hung around the city buzzed to life catching Ayami off guard with the sudden high pitch buzzing and subsequent hissing as the mic was moved before someone began talking. It was a deep male voice. "3 hours until dusk. Will all undefeated trainers please report to the Pokemon Center for the final rounds."The mic clicked off. Ohmarow and Ayami stood and watched as people began to head in the center's direction. No way of telling how many were left undefeated he'd just have to hope for the best when he got there.
The centered was abuzz with activity as people crowded around outside to watch the last of the combatants duke it out for the prize. Only four, himself included remained to make the final stand. This made it easier than expected. All he had to do was beat two more opponents and he could take on the final challenge. "Ohmarow Vs Markus." Called the referee after all the prep work was done and the trainers were registered. This "Markus" was a brawny yet slim young man with jet black hair with a matching attire of black, red and white. "You ready to lose?" Ohmarow ignored the taunting and released his Pokemon, Beelgra, a Bronzong. A bad choice as the young male release a Skuntank.Corrections would have to be made. "Begin!"

Ajicka sighed as they arrived in Lavaridge, and rubbed her temples a bit. Only three more, but that was only for this region. As far as the whole thing went, she wasn't even halfway through. Still, they were making progress.... but she did feel like she was starting to run out of steam. Or certainly regretting not challenging more gyms while she was doign this. She'd been in Rustboro, Dewford, Mauville, and now Lavaridge. Most of Hoenn's locations, seemed to have a gym. But, she needed to save that for another time. For when she was training up her pokemon, and wanted to collect badges and test their skill. Not that it was so much a test since she could train them up as much as she wanted, but she could make it a test, and they did restrict levels, so... they were still worth saving.

Honestly though, she was a bit surprised Joltik had been involved in the previous egg being found. She'd sort of expected him to just skitter around, show up on her shoulder from time to time, but generally just enjoy his freedom. It seemed he and Houndoom had teamed up, though, to cover more ground. He was too small to move eggs himself, after all, but it was true that he could move faster, and likely get into smaller places, to look for eggs that Houndoom could pick up. It was a... bizarre combination, but she was glad to see her pokemon working towards the cause.

Well.... "cause". As far as her pokemon were concerned, it was probably just a bizarre, silly side mission their trainer had set them on. She had sort of forgotten to explain the whole purpose of this to.... pretty much all of them. She didn't think she exactly needed to motivate them, but it might help to explain things. Or perhaps she'd just tell Elle, so that she could convey it to the rest of them. It might be less awkward, than an unexpected, sudden exposition...

Why was she so bad at this? Communicating, especially with.... okay, well, with everyone. She was good at training, at battling, at communicating then, and in those instances, but not in general. She didn't socialize, and she didn't talk. She tended to spend more time in her head than she did discussing things with others. Not that she had many to discuss with, but most of her pokemon were intelligent, and though Elle (and now Sableye) were the only ones that could really talk back, she could still try and at least commune with them a little more often. It might even fix the whole... not-issue she wasn't totally having.

Jaws dropped and silence overtook most everyone as the Steelix loomed over their heads before engaging his opponent. With barely The Massive Steelix promptly swept aside three consecutive Pokemon with barely any visible effort. "Winner, Ohmarow!" The judge called out nervously waving a red flag in Ohmarow's direction.
There was just one last opponent to face and she looked like she'd lost the will to face something as large as Ozzalu. Ayami laughed at his side, having come to greet him before the final round. She wrapped an arm around his shoulders wiping tears from her eyes. "It looks like the competition just pissed itself." The red headed fem remarked. Ohmarow smiled not really sure what to say but looking at his next opponent he could tell her heart wasn't in the battle to come. Ayami was right. Ozzalu had drained his competition's will power. Most of the crowd still remained hushed or whispering. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to rely on Ozzalu in the final round just to prevent any further loss in the crowd's favor. It might be a bit overkill.

Getting from Fortree to Lavaridge hadn't been too hard, travel wise, like always it was just a simple flight from one town to the next. It was the few minutes before take off that hadn't been as... smooth as Huey might've wanted. Gem had been the one who'd found the egg this time, and as excited as she was she'd run into a bit of trouble trying to haul the oval-shaped piece of plastic. She'd run into an invisible wall, which had turned out to be a Kecleon.

So, the moral of the story was: keep an eye on your pokemon. Which, in hindsight was rather tricky to do when they were multiple out at the same time. So maybe it was: stick closer to your lower-leveled pokemon? Or just... always be on the look out for sticky-fingered Kecleon's. It was one of the three, though Huey was more partial to the third. Thankfully, Lavaridge didn't have the same problem Fortree did. Or at least, he hoped not. The town was rather open, not confined together by a forest of trees, though the boy realized that, to a pokemon that could turn invisible, space meant nothing.
