Terra left the piano and walked over to watch Amiera paint. "This is beautiful. You have quite a talent for this type of thing. I've never seen a dark fae queen. But to your light there must be a dark, correct?"

Terra left the piano and walked over to watch Amiera paint. "This is beautiful. You have quite a talent for this type of thing. I've never seen a dark fae queen. But to your light there must be a dark, correct?"

"Yes." Amiera said, not taking her eyes off her painting. "There is an opposite to everything. Where Remonee is winter, I am summer. Where Mikal's mother is Dark, I am light. I balance my fathers siblings. It is why Summer court rules all Fae." She explained. With a simple gesture she turned Terra's attention to the many paintings on the walls and leaning against the counters. "These are all Fae that rule of have ruled. They have the best wings to paint. My own are similar but only when I drop my glory completely.

She looked around at all the amazing works and pictures hanging on Amieras walls. "I understand the balance where my kind, demons I mean, are concerned we have a similar balance. My father and uncle are demons, but they also have two sister, Rava and Ambrosia. They are angel spirits who mentor younger generations of demons, to help better us. Just as my father and uncle help mentor angels to not be so vain and high and mighty, which yes they have that right being the creatures they are but that power must not go too far into their heads, you know."

She took a step closer to a painting admiring the detail and love that seemed to flow with in the stroke marks. "I must say I wish I were as talented as you. It is a much nicer thing to be talented in arts than it is in fighting. But sadly I'm no good at art but I excel at fighting."

Turning back, she looked her in the eyes, "I would also like to apologize for my uneasy behavior since I met you. It wasn't right for me to be suspicious of you, but I get that way anytime my sister meets someone. You see, I can read auras and your aura is an enigma, and I couldn't figure out why. So I went searching and Chaliste, my mentor spirit, she is the same kind of spirit as my aunts, told me the truth, in a vague way. But I was only trying to look out for my sister. So I apologize." She crossed her arm over her chest and bowed.

"Please stand Terra. There is no need to apologize. I knew you could sense i was not human. I lied to protect myself. But now that you know what I am, I am safe and there is no need to worry. I think you do a wonderful job protecting Torra." Amiera said softly, continuing to paint the Fairy. She glanced to Mikal and Torra, making sure Mikal knew his boundaries, before moving to clean her paints up and mix more. "Your sister is a kind girl, and so are you. I am glad I have met you both."

She sighed with a some relief. Even though she was a demon and she knew she could fight off any of them that would try to knock her down she knew it best to stay in the good graces of the fae courts.

She smiled when she looked over at Torra. It was an odd thing, Torra never talked to guys, unless it was unavoidable. But she was pink in the cheeks while talking to Mikal.

Toma walked over to the young fae queen and his niece. He placed his hand on top of Terra's head ruffling her hair a bit. "You know I've seen things in this world that would boggle the minds of the brightest creatures, but i never thought I'd see fae and demons mingling so calmly with one another." He smiled. "It warms this old demon's heart to see the bright future this world has."

Amiera nodded. "It has been a long time since my kind could speak to any creature other then another Fae. I hope that my friendship with Torra and Terra can help bring a peace to the strained relationship Fae have with the world." She said, suddenly dropping her glory completely to let her wings out. Her wings were like a butterflies wings, with gold and bronze coloring, mixed with greens and yellows and a shine of summer sky blue. Mikal and Remonee sighed as the energy changed around Amiera and calmed. They had already dropped their glory completely and could relax now that Amiera had too.

Terra smack his hand away, she hated every time he messed up her hair. "I'm not five years old. Quit messing with my hair." She glared at him

Torra looked around the room as the fae seemed to relax a great deal. "Well that is a nice change. No need to be so tense during a party!"

Mikal nodded. "When Miss Amiera relaxes, we do as well. She has a great deal of power over us, even over the smallest things. Thankfully I have freedom to chat with such a beautiful girl such as yourself." He said. He really was enjoying her company.

Toma looked over towards Torra and Mikal. "Those two look like there getting along well. I wonder what my brother would think?" He shook his head and laughed lightly. "He'd probably throw a fit that one of his baby girls is growing up to fast and that she's to young to think about boys."

Amiera nodded. "Mikal is young for a Fae. But I trust him. He has saved my life many times. There is no one I trust more in the entire realm of Fae." She said, watching them. "Besides, Mikal is a different blood of Fae. His mother was a Dark and his father was half Summer Fae and half Demon. Mikal's demon blood is what sets him apart, and if he wasn't the Dark Queens son, he would be shunned for the demon blood that he got from his father."

Torra blushed at the compliment. *Why must you keep talking like that?! It makes my face burn.* "So, you don't seem like Remonee. She seems much more," she paused searching for a good word, "Reserved. And maybe not as much but Amiera is reserved as well, but you don't seem that way."

"Miss Amiera is just cautious. Remonee.... Is different." He said, glancing at the Winter Queen. "She has no speech, so it is hard for her to communicate." He watched the lonely girl start outside, drawing snowflakes on the window. He did feel bad for his cousin. "No one knows what will happen if she doesn't marry. Winter will cease to exist and the balance will be thrown off. But there isn't a Fae in creation that wants a mute Queen."
PostPosted: Mon Dec 02, 2013 1:04 pm

The sadness showing in his eyes took Torra by surprise. She didn't talk much either, but she couldn't imagine not speaking to anyone ever. "Why can't she talk? Is that a winter fae thing? I don't mean to be rude for asking, it's just I know nothing of specifics concerning the fae community. And for that matter out of all the magics in the world, why hasn't someone created a spell for curing her of that set back?"

She knew she was babbling, but she couldn't help it. "Also, if I were a male and not a demon, I would marry her in a heart beat. She is not only beautiful to look at, but she seems so sweet. And I bet if she could talk she would have the sweetest voice and so much to say." She looked at the girl drawing on the window. She seemed lonely even with her family here. "If you don't mind me asking, how does she rule the winter court if she can't speak?"

Terra shook her head, "Uncle, father never even comes around except every few decades to see if 'his girls' are still alive." She air quoted his girls, because even being a great demon he spared no time to be an actual father to them. And yet here her uncle is, and he was in the same kind of position as her father.

Mikal sighed. "My dear Torra. She is as old as your uncle is. She was born without vocal cords. If there is one thing Fae cannot change it is internal organs. She was born without so it cannot be fixed. No matter what magic is used." He said softly.

Amiera sighed. She had family left. The head of each court was either an aunt, uncle, or cousin of hers. But Amiera was the highest Fairy. She was respected, but not much liked. Her family rarely dealt with her.

Remonee sighed. She wasn't spoken to. She just sat alone in her thoughts. Her court was out preparing to spread winter. But here she sat, in a room too warm, alone and bored, as she usually was. Her mother once said she would find love in a demon. She didn't believe it. It had been centuries since she had even felt love from another.
