He released her, but his pistol stayed behind her. "I hope you dont mind, but I'm going to let that fly behind you as we part. Just to be sure of no foul play." He returned to the jeep, watching the two as he went. He started the engine and drove off. Moments later the gun turned and followed.

The gun would go no further, at least not completely whole.
Seared off into literally two halves, the firearm would all be useless with it's barrel sheared off from an unseen force. It looked akin to a sword cut, but the slightly burnt egdes betrayed the fact that no blade had touched the firearm.
And all it had taken was a simple breath. Vahn continued towards the woman, his Fang never having so much as drooped from his shoulder.
He stood there a moment, staring ahead and not wanting to look down at her.
He'd failed her... and messed up... not too mention let the coin get taken away.

Alexiel watched them drive off. "Damn them..." She looked down at the horse that had carried her thus far and had to fight to hold back tears. The poor beast hadn't deserved such a death. "Bloody animal... killing a poor defenseless creature like that... I hope that bloody b*****d gets what's coming to him."
She looked up at her companion, sighing softly. She had nearly lost her bird, broken her leg, been held hostage, and her horse was dead. But at least she wasn't alone. "Could you do me a favor, could you burn his corpse so that he doesn't sit here and rot?" 'It's fine, you know... I'm alive... we're both alive... and we still have plenty of time to find other petals...' she finished mentally. No, she wasn't reading his thoughts, she didn't need to. She could tell by the way he wouldn't look at her what he was thinking.

The heat from the barrel searing made the bullet in the chamber go off as the gun flew through the air. The bullet wizzed across the square, meraculously missing everyone and passing straight through a watermelon, which released a squeal as it exploded.

He ran his thumb along the edge of his Fang, letting blood drip out.
Blood which he flung with a flick of his hand onto the horse. As the droplets fell, they burst into flames, lengthening and taking the entirety of the carcass with it.
Much in the same fashion that the enormous shark back at Rage's Tavern had been roasted.
Except the amount of heat was more than enough to char the entire thing to the bones.
"We'll take my bike... and get on the Ferry."
Without any further words, he turned away from the flaming carcass, and started heading for the boardwalk again.

s**t! She hadn't expected that quick of a response. Alexiel's hand darted forward in the direction of her saddlebags and then back towards her body as the bags came off the saddle and slid across the ground towards her. She had gotten to them just as they had started to go up in flames and quickly stomped out the fire. She picked them and would check on the contents later.
Throwing the bags over her shoulder, she followed after Vahn.

"What the hell just happened?" Charles said to no one, withdrawing his PDA. "Crim," he said to the device, which instantly connected to Allen's cell phone. Time to figure out where his friend had gotten to.

While he waited for Allen to pick up the phone, the Chauffeur decided to move on with what Mr. Brown had asked him to do.
And so Charles got back into his viper and headed towards the Gambling District.
