Zane could almost see it coming. Zane braced himself for the scolding that was about to come. It was true that he needed to be there at 9, but 9 is just so damn early. "I am excited! I just overslept that's all!" Zane complained as he gave a terrible excuse to Luo. Zane was terrible with keeping track of time. He often overslept, or stayed at the ramen shop for too long, or was off pulling some sort of prank on the ninja police, to keep track of it. Zane was pushed off his balance as Luo called him a baka, however, judging from Luo's smile, Zane knew he got off easy. He was too excited over the fact that he gets to prove the extent of his training to bother with Zane's own antics.
Zane walked closely behind Luo as Luo spoke to Morrigan. After getting chastised by her over being late, Zane began walking up the stairs with Luo. "Yeah yeah...best behavior. Seriously Luo, you're taking this way too seriously. All he's going to do is give us our headbands and tell us what squad we're going to be in. We already graduated from the academy, that's proof enough that we're ninja.You really need to loosen up," Zane sighed as he rested his hands behind the back of his head. His stance was loose and relaxed, unlike Luo who stood in a militarized position. He wasn't the least bit nervous about meeting the Mizukage.

❝ The Chuunin was not known for his unyielding patience, and the wait that he and his sister were being forced to wait was driving him up the wall. The moment the two new Genin arrived and knocked on the door just as he had earlier, it definitely became the last straw. Turning to face the two, he winked with a smile written on his face. "I love waiting indefinitely as much as the next guy and all, but this is ridiculous, don't you guys think?" As if to prove a point, a small portion of paper started to peel away from Karth's hand, sliding beneath the door of the office, making their way inside. They didn't simply retain their flat, featureless forms as they entered, but instead turned into a small colony of ants that could easily be missed by anyone who wasn't viewing the scene within the office up close and personal; at least a foot or two from the door, which was highly implausible. When the ants reached the nob they crawled over it, clumping together and reshaping into a small hand that turned the lock on the door and then turned the knob, opening the door from the inside. Karth timed his knock precisely when the door opened to make it appear as if the lock had been undone of its own accord. The way in which the door opened would conceal the paper hand from view while revealing clearly the two Chuunin and two Genin beyond the now opened door. Already Karth's hand had reformed to perfection, and the feigned surprise on his face was priceless. "Oh. I didn't hear you say come in." Karth was the first to step into the office after turning back slightly to his sister with a smile, arm outstretched in a gesture that said 'please come in'. Seeing that there was only one other in the room, another Genin, Karth made his way closer towards the desk that the Mizukage sat around and gave a light bow as a show of deference. ❞

KiyokoOikawa --------------------- ChuuninIce♦User --------------------- "Open the door then." those were the only words uttered by Kiyoko as her brother had commented about how he loved waiting and all but that was ridiculous. But her words were not necessary seeing as her brother already took action, using his abilities with paper to open the door, moving the paper he created through the small gap between the door and the floor and then sending it upwards to open the door from inside. With the door being opened in front of her, she could not be bothered to ask her brother what he had done, since it was obvious that he used his ability to create and manipulate paper. She could very well have attempted to do something using the basics of water and ice manipulation to draw the moisture from the air and freeze it according to her will, but it was not like she felt she could pull that sort of trick without attracting attention like her brother could. Following her brother's lead, Kiyoko walked into the office, in hopes that they would be welcomed by the Kage, and also assigned to some sort of mission. It was not like Kiyoko wanted to be disrespectul, but she did not bow like her brother did. Instead, she would simply wait on a response from the Mizukage before saying or doing anything else.

The clone merely watched as paper fluttered into forms marching up the already opened door, making him watch with slight amusement. They single-filed into the lock where after a moment or two he heard the slightest sound of creaking before the Chuunin announced his...already exposed presence. "Typically an open door is self-inviting. Though mannerism takes over from there" He said as he nodded his head in acknowledgement to the young man's bow. His eyes shifted towards Kiyoko, making note of her not showing similar respect as the man before him. Looking past the two he motioned the genins over as well, making them included on the conversation as well as seeing to their care. "Since we are all here now...what can I do for you two" He said calmly, taking the first two on before getting to the two genins.

As Luo reached past two chuunin to knock on the slightly ajar door, one of them addressed Luo and Zane about the wait after Luo and the other three stood waiting for a moment after. Luo was usually patient, but this day he had to agree. Waiting was only making him more nervous, so much so that even Zane noticed. And when his friend told him to loosen up, it was one of those instances where Zane was actually right. His shoulders relaxed more at the suggestion, Luo being reminded of why the two got along so well despite their differences.
As the chuunin in front of them sent paper under the door, Luo's eyes widened a little. Despite the door being slightly open, Luo didn't know if the Mizukage was alright with people just coming in. After all, he'd never actually met him before. As the group met his gaze, Luo stared ahead at him with an air of calm at last. His rationing was as it was he was regarded as being quite calm in the dojo and in training, his father said sometimes too calm. But it was in his blood. If katana didn't scare him, why should one man? Just as well, it seemed the Mizukage was a laid back man, even commenting that they were basically welcome to enter at any time. As he addressed the chuunin in front of him, Luo waited patiently beside his friend, this time slipping his left hand into his pocket and allowing his right to hang by his side. It was just another day.

Zane noticed Luo's muscles relaxing, breathing a sigh of relief. To say that the two complimented each other was an understatement. Had it not been for Luo, Zane would have never graduated from the academy. Had it not been for Zane, Luo wouldn't have a life to enjoy. Zane took note of the other two that were there. One of them, it seems, had a rather unique ability for opening already opened doors.
As the Mizukage welcomed them inside, he spoke to the two before them first. It would seem that Luo and Zane would have to wait a little longer before receiving their headbands. At least the day had finally arrived when the two would be full fledged shinobi. After this however, he didn't know what was next. Zane wondered what squad would they be put in, who was going to be their sensei. Zane kept his relaxed pose, his hands resting behind the back of his head as he bent one of his knees slightly. Standing next to Luo, Zane waited for them to be addressed, and for Luo to do all the talking.

KiyokoOikawa --------------------- ChuuninIce♦User --------------------- It was rather amusing that the Mizukage made reference to an open door being self-inviting, when he seemed to have ignored their presence outside even after they had knocked, saying something only when they made their entrance. "A door that is not fully open is not that inviting though." she commented, but without altering her tone. Afterwards as the man asked what he could do for them, Kiyoko decided she would speak up first instead of allowing her brother to do so. "We're here to report to you and, hopefully, be assigned to a mission." she said, though there was not much to say about it. "But I'm curious, is it true that your name is Susan?" the kunoichi asked, now using a much more informal tone. She just could not believe that he, the Mizukage, had a girl's name.

Now more than ever Karth felt that he should have stayed away a little longer, as the man was obviously busy. But it was better sooner than later. Kiyoko had basically given their reason for being there in a nutshell, but he had not been expecting her to inquire about his name. Sure she had had questions about it the first time her told it to her, and he knew she thought it was the name of a girl, but to hear her ask the man so outright, it was all he could do to keep his laughter contained. Karth managed to smother it some, but bits and pieces escaped here and there. ❞

As the shinobi filed in, he took quick note of each one. The first two who caught his attention was the genin, as they had more room for development then anyone else in this room. Luo seemed to be the type which followed regulations, military-like conduct who knew the whens and wheres. The one beside him was Zane, who was a little more relaxed and kicked back then the other genin though despite this seemed brotherly with Luo. Perhaps he'll be keeping the two on a squad together.
Meanwhile, as the young woman spoke his attention focused upon her. When she was finished he merely smiled, a type of smile that had multiple meanings and filled with even more hidden purposes. "That is to the preference of every shinobi" He said before opening a file, searching for a mission for the two of them. He figured since it has taken them this long to introduce themselves to the kage, maybe he should have them put on a squad with a higher ranking shinobi then jonin? Regardless he picked out the ranking for them and set out two files before him, each closed as he then looked back at the Kiyoko. "As for my name...heh that's debatable for various reasons" He said with a faint chuckle before becoming serious. "Before we go any further, do tell me about yourselves. I know nothing besides what is documented. And selecting a proper mission would be...like grabbing smoke since you two have just now decided to come" He said rather sternly, as every other high ranking shinobi has come forth. Save for them.

Hirose walked into the Mizukage's office, silent as usual, and put his back to the wall. His quiet demeanor often made his presence go unknown until he'd either speak up or allow himself to be seen. In this case, Hirose purposely put himself in view of the mizukage, to let him know that he'd arrived with the report, yet remained quiet out of respect for the others that had come to meet the mist's shadow.

Shura gave a small sigh as she replayed the event from the market place in her mind as she walked towards the Kages office slowly. She knew she shouldn't have killed the thief, but she didn't have a choice since he had already attacked her, and the mission never said anything about bringing him in alive, only stopping him. Shura of course didn't enter the Mizukages office at first since her Sensory information told her their were people in there. But once she was ready to deliver her mission report she entered the office silently and shyly slid along the wall so she leaned on it opposite the side of Hirose.
From where she was she could easily see everyone in the room, and thus she could get an opinion on the people she didn't know too well. She already knew about the Jounin named Hirose who leaned on the wall on the opposite side of the door from her. But she had no idea who the Chuunin were even though the Male was dressed in black and seemed familiar, and the Female was really pretty. She also couldnt quite name the other three Genin in the room, even though she knew the one in green and the one in all white were brothers and were quite skilled. 'Man.. so many people here.. better stay quiet till they all leave...' Shura thought to herself as she just waited for them all to do their business with the Mizukage and leave.

Looking towards Kai he rubbed his chin briefly before addressing him. "Indeed, there is actually going to be an adjustment as far as the squads go. This is also a chance for him to earn some money or credits so in the future when an evaluation is done he might have a chance for Chuunin. Speaking of Chuunin, he had planned a mission for the two Chuunins to embark on, one which he believed will suit their thirst for accomplishment. Reaching into the mission files he drew out a B rank mission and opened the file, examining the properties. "This should suffice...there's rumors that there's a hideout of bandits within the village; either on the outskirts or by the borders within. Investigate and take action as needed. Minimize civilian casualties as well. The area is said to be near by the residential area" He said, showing them the mission details. Once they left, he can handle the others, as he had two genin headbands on standby.

Nodding to the boy the clone reached into the desk, pulling out a file. Skimming through the contents he selected one that requires a bit of a workout for a genin. Thus requiring caution, some strategy, and intelligence. "Here, take this mission as the hospital needs this plant out of there. Due to your rank you don't have the necessary chakra pool to fully endure the toxins, so come up with a strategy to remove the plant from the hospital without passing out yourself. It's possible, just need to figure it out. Once you've removed it from the premises, take it to the training ground and burn it" He said, filling Kai in on the mission details. Granted it is much higher for a genin, but it's doable. Plus this will give Kai a chance to prove how much he stands out above most genin.

Very well, typically I wouldn't allow this but I can see if you know how to do this. Since you are of a lower chakra pool and rank, it will take longer to complete the mission. Let's say....8 posts? And make it quite lengthy so it doesn't seem you just barely got by to complete it. Know what I mean?
