Question pertaining to familiar customs~
Are we allowed to get custom sprites? Or are they event only familiars?
Answer
Sprites are only offered in the season that they originated in. So summer sprites are only available in the summer, and winter sprites are only available in the winter.
They ARE allowed as customs, but only during these times and custom slots must be open.

So I wish to do a beast battle (cause hey, maybe this way Mynshaka can go through Oba and nab that Janarim!) but the character is only stage 1 and has no stats. Is it possible to do this or not. If so:
Do I treat him like a non battler (he is going Rider) and roll up stats for him now and buy a dagger till he grows?
Also, if I do this, once he grows, do I keep these stats or do I roll up new ones?
And asking because I know someone will want to know the answer eventually: can a youngling also do this? Or are they too young to battle? (Volle would be proud of her baby but Senja would be upset and ground Saki XD)

Beast battling, like regular battles, are not available until Stage 2. Prentices and younglings cannot participate.
Metas (and specified events) are the only area that prentices are allowed to join in, and younglings are still not allowed to battle.

Hello,
So I just grew Aseara from youngling to prentice and she doesn't get a quest (I think since I haven't been given one), Alassiel is ready to grow (I am finishing up the world events to finish her growth) and was wondering if I need to wait 3 weeks before I can post Alassiel to get her growth quest or if I can go ahead and post it?

Younglings also apply to the three week limit. So Alassiel will have to wait three weeks after Aseara is approved for growth before she can be posted for growth. (this would be why our artist Flan checked to make sure it was alright since she is still catching up) Hope that helps!

New one for you! For the dual-range attack class, melee hunters can have a spear, lance, and a trident. Do riders have the same flexibility as well?
Answer
Yes. Dual ranged attackers are the only ones that are allowed to choose between all three weapons and go down either of their path possibilities.
They are still bound to using that one weapon of choice the whole way, so choosing a spear in stage 2 will result in a spear the entire time through growths. Their particular weapon choice should be made clear when posting for growth so artists can draw the correct weapon. (either through purchase in the shop or by telling us)

I was wondering if there was any meta idea as to what the living situations in Zena in the Ice tribes were like? There's a lot of information on how they view themselves and Wind earthlings, and their fur based economy - but what are their villages like?
Do they live in carved homes in the mountainous regions? Eloquent cave systems, or Vikingesque log houses? Something else? I keep trying to think of some grand living situation that would fit their regal vibe, but I didn't want to imagine too many possibilities if there was already an idea of what their living situation was like.Answer
While they put themselves above the wind earthlings for sure, they still live in the limited means of the environment around them. Their houses are typically built in sturdy dense wood to keep the cold out, and their villages have a touch of civilization like roads and porches, multi-floor designs (though typically not more than 3 floors), jobs like snow shovelers so their is usually a build up of snow against buildings to keep the roads clear. Busier roads have actual stone pavement, while most just stick to flat earth.
Something similar to this.

World event prompt question!
I know they don't have solos as requirements, but because the world event prompts are for versatile points, is it possible for a youngling to write a solo for those prompts instead of having to rp them out with others?
Answer
Yes. The prompts are versatile points so regardless of how they're played out they could count as either of the options the prompt says it can count for.
Keep an eye out though, because not all prompts are RP or solo oriented, and not all have the same options of how the versatile point can be distributed.

Are the following acceptable instruments for a Shifter to know? Trying to find instruments that Senja would have found on her travels or known from her people. Ajaeng or Koto or Guzheng or chitravina Mandolin or Lute ( Biwa is a type of lute....) Larger harps, harpsichordsWhat's the limits on winds? Like no metal instruments? Shell/horn used as horns or wooden ones instead? Answer
Everything before Biwa is something that could make its way into Tendaji. Large harps probably would not exist.
Wind instruments would have to feasibly be made from wood or bone, so flutes, maybe something resembling clarinets or oboes, percussion instruments are definitely around, but other than that it would be hard to get complicated shapes right. Horns would be made from actual horns or bone, so complicated instruments like trumpets, tubas, trombones are non existent.

So how likely is it a Janarim would wander into Matori? Just asking cause Ray's in the area of Matori that's connected to Oba and I was thinking of doing beast battles/taming till he got one.
This same question can be expanded to: Can one land's animals wander out into other lands next door and be encountered there, or is it just best to keep them in the one area?

It's best to just keep a familiar in its particular area for the most part.
We know that Oba is still a tender area for most of Tendaji though, so if a character would prefer to meet an Oban familiar at the border to Oba rather than going into Oba, that'll be allowed for the time being. :] (Though please remember that it is near impossible to reach Oba or Matori through any land route besides Jauhar due to its natural topography.)

Question about shop items and beast battles!
Say we want to add a beaded design to clothing would that be a combination of both the Necklace and the Sewing kit? or just one or the other. Example

The fetish item would add something like both of those to clothing :] The more fetishes used, the more intricate the beadwork. Fetishes add adornments to hair or clothing, so it's the most appropriate item from the shop.
Beast battles cannot be combined to form solos. They can only count as beast battles, or a regular battle if you have two beast battles. They can also be used as 1 RP point under certain circumstances.

So if we use a "Friendly Hand Elixir" on a familiar, do we need to purchase change of state elixir to get new art of said familiar? I am thinking of buying the friendly hand to add on a saddle/saddle bags to Mynshaka's Snapptrotter and a really elaborate saddle/saddle cloth beneath it to Senja's Mammu.
Or does purchasing (and using) the Friendly hand mean we get new art of said familiar.

Once used, the Friendly Hand Elixir provides new art. The Change of State Elixir is specifically for character art.

I was curious, would someone like Bisera, who is going into jewelcrafting, be able to use Gorogorum Scales to make jewelry pieces out of instead of armor? I was curious because if he could I was going to get him a few pieces of that from the fairgrounds.

Totally possible, though gorogorum scales are relatively flat in shape and start pretty large. They would have to be broken down to jewelry sized pieces to be used.

Is there an instrument on Tendaji that's similar to a xylophone or chimes? Like, the person would strike them with a stick to play them. Things like that.
Also, is there any way that a Shaman could use beads? I see that they can use a staff like a Sorcerer or a Scholar would, but when I think of a spiritual class (Because Spirit Worker -> Dream Walker -> Shaman), I think of someone with beads. (Like Rosaries)Answer
Tendaji as a whole has developed instruments that have the ability to be transported easily, since musicians tend to have to travel in order to make a living. Stationary things like xylophones or pianos tend to have very little practicality since they are so large. Something like this or this would be more like what would exsist in Tendaji.
Shaman are a staff only class. There is no other option for them.

So for stage 2 quest... it says you need to complete (basically) 1.5 times the growth req
but what do you do when the numbers are odd?
Round up or down?
So I need 4 or 5 solos? 7 or 8 prps?

If the number is odd in this case round down. so 7 rps and 4 solos
