Oh, and I have another question. What exactly is the TOC? Terms of Conduct? I'm having a blonde moment gonk
On another note, I think an Official Business Subforum is also an important addition to the guild. This way, OOC remains fun and leisurely, and the Business subforum can be where we have our more serious discussions, event planning, Tournament Think Tank, etc... so that's also all in one place, concentrated on development and growth, but not Crew only so the entire guild has some sense of transparency on the matters.

It makes sense, but the crew tends to be good about setting an open discussion thread on the home page. Just sayin.

Well, I would like to propose transparency of that sub-forum, allowing all guild members to at least observe on the active threads, or even contribute. I think the Guild could really benefit from an open book policy right now, where we all have a voice. Especially now, when we're working from the ground up. On a very clear non-sequitur, I've been redesigning The GML, RP-wise. This is all pure concept right now, but I'd like to share and get feedback. The lore behind Alteras Omega places the descendants of the GML's founders (Maybe even a little of Wielder's) as mighty warriors from the North. With that in mind, I think it would be most awesome if we set the Gaian Mercenary League's Headquarters in the North, among the glaciers and snow capped mountains. It's a harsh and forbidding landscape, which makes it excellent for conditioning mercenaries, while at the same time the GML could have resided there for so long, the facility utilizes geothermal technology to draw energy and heat from the core of the mountains, allowing for the growth of flora and optimal living conditions. The result might be a fortress constructed along the side of a mountain, built into the rock and complete with agriculture and a number of self sustaining resources. A fusion reactor would even be ideal, as the region's temperatures would help to cool it. Here's an image for inspiration.

Well, I missed a lot of the convo. Stupid school...
Anywho, I like Ferregar's idea about the RPs. Makes more sense than having a bunch of unrelated RPs out there; either unrelated to one another or to the guild.
Also, yes, we need the Archives so we can keep track of old topics that don't need to be deleted but simply need to put aside for the time being. And yes, we do need the TOC too.
Edit after reading the rest of the new posts: We always try to discuss big stuff with the guild. But stuff that can easily be solved (Case in point: SS's attempts to join the guild over and over again) are often discussed in private because we don't need to make a big fuss about it anyway.
Another suggestion. I don't know if this is the original plan or not but here it goes. For those of you who are not familiar with the CURRENT tournament forum (Rules, setting, etc.), go ahead and do that now.
Done?
Okay, now...what needs to be added or changed or removed in order to make it relevant to the guild? Personally, I think it's awesome as it is and I wish we could just copy and paste the entire thing into the new guild. But what does everyone else think about it?

Hmm.. We could do that. Granted, a lot of it could be left behind, give it's closed threads and such. It'd still be here, till the owner wipes it and/or gets rid of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we already have a new guild? Not as in it's already open and ready to be used, but I believe we have an empty guild somewhere. I don't know, I need either Wielder or Gear to clear that up for me.
Dos, you'll still be in charge of the Parlor, Obseen. So don't worry about that.
Tres, I like the new GML's setting. It reminds me of a fortress. Could be a good setting considering we're supposed to be Mercs.
