"I hope you see the sun.. Someday in your darkness."

Daisuke smiled once more, and lowered the cane in front of him. He rests both hands on the knob, "Daisuke, as I said. Daisuke Ichirou. Third Division Lieutenant, Second in Command to Captain Akiri Manami." He did over-due his precise attachment to his squad, but he did think highly of his Captain. He took a pair of black-rim glasses from his sash and placed them neatly upon his face. Daisuke's smile changed in a sense, "I've heard you like to spar; that you know Hand-to-Hand, Nibantai-taichō.. We'll see what you know about hand-to-hand one day, hm?" He looked off at the sky, "Find me under a tree, or atop a roof. Either one, I shall always be there. May be why some of you haven't payed too much attention to me.. Then again, I am but a Fukutaichō. Anyways, sorry to ramble, but why are you and your friend, the other Captain that is, sitting around here? It may just be that I've been to a lot of funerals, but you don't just have to groan and feel depressed," he raises the book a little, "but you can read a book like I do.."

With a chuckle, she nods about her favorite pastimes, seems her willingness to fight was starting to become known. "And I won't go easy on you becuase of your rank either, hope you come prepared.." Staring at the others, she supposed they did look rather sad, but in all truthfulness, they were waiting to fight. "The funeral is over, we're waiting to reclaim Tomomi..." She kept his name without the suffix, it was her personal choice to, and while it may offend certain liutenants, she didn't care much. "I hope to see your skills in action.." With a suggestive smirk, she returns to her sushi, offering the man some sake from a flask she had with her at all times. "I know the scent of a drinker when I smell one."

"I hope you see the sun.. Someday in your darkness."

Daisuke chuckles, "Only during the night, sadly. I tend to stay dry in the day." He looks from Elisia to Nu, "So, you knew Tomomi personally, correct?" He didn't really wait for an answer before continuing. "You know, I use to spar with the kid. I may be the only one that can say I beat him in a fair game of Hand-to-Hand combat. A Lieutenant, aye?" He chuckles and shakes his head. He chews on the bottom of his lip a little, thinking about him. He sighs, "I think that may be the man that changed my ways. Got me in to becoming a Shinigami.. We have a lot in common, to be honest. We both like the same foods, sleep a lot when we can, ramble on 'bout pointless subjects, eat a lot, drink some, find the same things enjoyable.. I like the kid; he's a good man."

Daisuke sighs a bit, but it's a mix of 'man, I miss that kid' and 'god, all those things we did, and we're still here'. He chuckles a bit, which may confuse Nu by its randomness, "So, when are we taking the fight to the assholes? I'm sure Schatten has been waiting for his catch to stab one in the back." The Shikomizue let out a small bell-like sound to Daisuke, a way that Schatten spoke to him. Schatten chuckles in his little inner-world,
"Oh, you have no idea, Dai.. I've been waiting for a chance like this.. You need to learn your damned Bankai before you try to kill one yourself, though. Stop bein' a lazy a** fool." Daisuke laughs a bit, Schatten, it's not like you push any harder than I.

Kwang, now only a few feet away from the tomb stop for a second. It was always custom for him to always stop and hear what was going on in his surroundings. He did this so he could listen to things that peak his own interest. Kwang didn't think of this as eves dropping,as most people would call it, but rather; a mindful watch of the world around him.

While listening, Kwang over heard a name that he had not heard before. Kwang turned,to his slight surprise, to see a old man with a cane in his hand talking to Nibanai Taicho. Kwang was somehow, just by looking at him, quite interesedt in him. Kwang turned his body around and began to walk toward the old man. As Kwang began to get closer the name of this old man that he had taking a interest in ran through his mind. Daisuke Ichirou. Even his name brought even more interest to Kwang-Sun.

Kwang's interest in the man was not so he could fight him later on. His interest was more into learning what this man knows. Maybe he could teach him a thing or two about fight. Old men,in the Soul Society, were always very good experienced fighters. Kwang only wondered as to why he never seen this man before. Coming closer to him Kwang got a weird feeling for a second. Kwang could tell this Daisuke Ichirou Was a very strong man. Today is my lucky day i guess.

Kwang finally reached his destination and was right beside the old man. Kwang clear his throat a bit, as quite as possible, And spoke. Hello all. My name is Kwang-Sun. I am new to the Soul Society and thought it be best if i introduced my self to you all. When speaking Kwang had bowed to them as all good introduction should start out with. When he was finished Kwang lifted up his head and look at the Old man in front of his Golden brown eyes. Daisuke Ichirou.

KATO MEISHI

Change is the constant,
the signal for rebirth,
the egg of the phoenix,
Angels are bright still ,
though the.BRIGHTEST fell.

Kato arrived a ways off from the others. No one had seen his new form except Elisia, and they seemed to be conversing with each other from this distance. Kato's wings slowly extended and retracted as he sat down under a cherry tree and gazed at the sky. As if on cue, a gust of wind sent cherry petals flying everywhere. Kato began to manipulate his Reiatsu to keep the leaves flying in pattern. The petals soon began to resemble a school of fish as they gracefully danced around him and the general area. Kato then sent them up in the air and watched them fall. "Why can't we all just stay in the air..." he wondered aloud. There was an audible sigh from Kanpata as he replied."Kato...I'm sorry, but you need to hear this. Stop...crying over nothing! You are a Captain of the Gotei 13!" He paused and materialized himself beside him, taking the form of a small bird instead of his normal majestic phoenix. "....What would your mother say?" Kato laughed bitterly and muttered, "I don't know....she'd probably tell me to chin up, and that--" He stopped, realizing what Kanpata was saying. "....That nothing can be achieved if you don't put your heart mind and soul into it...You can't win if you die with your face looking down," He smiled. Kanpata jumped on his head and pecked at his hair. "Hey, stop that?" Kato laughed as he struggled and failed to knock Kanpata off his head. "Do you have any idea how stupid I'm looking right now? Ouch!" Kanpata laughed and settled onto his shoulder. "...Thanks, Kanpata. Really." Kanpata just chirped back at him, apparently words were not necessary to convey his point.

Feeling better, Kato cast his eyes at the group with renewed vigor. His eyes traveled over Elisia and he stopped. "Your eyes are traveling over her like slug on a rose," Kanpata mused. "Don't trouble yourself with this right now. You must focus your energy on the battle ahead..." Kato nodded and twitched at the sound or a young man screaming. Without turning his eyes, Kato glanced over at a young man rolling around on the grass. He resembled Aurelius enough for Kato to assume that they were the same person. "Tsukiko must have had something to do with that," he thought. A couple new people entered his view. He sighed as he duly watched them. "I think it's been long enough. Time to socialize...after all, who knows when I'll do it again." He jumped into the air and simply used his wings to glide towards the group; able to hear their conversation as he approached He bowed respectfully before continuing."Hello Nu, Elisia, Kwang, I think, and....I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch your name...Daisuke is it? I'm Kato Meishi." Kato said as he studied Daisuke closely.

Elisia had popped one sushi in her mouth, replying with ease to Nu, “No problem, I brought more than I could eat.” That was unfortunately a bad move, eating at the moment when Hideki appeared and decided to say something about the fact that she had been tripping over her feet and blushing ferociously. Her cheeks began to burn bright red again and she could feel herself retreating back into her old protective shell. Damn, why couldn’t she simply act as if everything was normal or something like that? As Nu started to question her, she was saved by the sudden screaming of somebody else, which distracted Nu enough so that the attention was diverted away from herself. Thank god. She really had to find a way to subtly thank whoever that was for dis-- “Holy crap,” she cursed under her breath as she looked at the screaming person. He was the only one, since he didn’t feel like a Shinigami or an Arrancar, and with the blond hair too…he was the one who had caught them kissing. Oh crap. She became absolutely mortified, nearly wanting to do the same thing as he was doing and bash her head on the nearby tree. Then again, she couldn’t afford to be distracted for the meantime. Not when everything was resting on this day.

When she dared to take a second peek, a puzzled expression appeared on her face, as he seemed to have shifted. He was now at the top of Sōkyoku Hill, which was hopefully a little further away so that she could take time to compose herself. Sneaking a quick glance to Nu, the girl seemed to be looking for that blond-haired guy also. Maybe she liked him? Aw, they would be so cute, really. She continued her thoughts along these lines for a bit, attempting to push back any thought of Tsukiko and of anything that would get her blushing again. Slowly, the blush from her cheeks began to subside as she calmed herself down. Finally, she was able to look the others in the eye, although she sincerely hoped that Hideki wouldn’t tease her anymore. If he did so, she had to admit that she would most likely lose her current calm nature and blush ferociously. She had been so caught up in her embarrassment that she had barely noticed the new arrival and thus, she blinked at Daisuke and Kwang several times before he said who he was. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Ichirou-Fukutaichō, Kwang-Sun” It seemed as if Daisuke was asking a spar or something like that from Nu, which could turn out to be rather interesting. The appearance of Kato saved her from divulging further into such thoughts and she smiled at him. His new appearance, it seemed, was permanent.

Shaking her head at the random and disorganized thoughts that were running through her mind, she lightly put the plastic bag on the floor before drawing out another bento, similar to the one that Nu had, and taking half of the chocolate to put inside her bag. “Anyway,” she said quietly, not wanting to attract too much attention to herself, “If anyone’s hungry, there’s another bento inside that box, fortune cookies and some chocolate in there. Help yourselves, I just need to take care of some business.” Dropping a light bow to the two Captains and the Lieutenant, she shunpo’ed away to the top of Sōkyoku Hill, looming on top of the blond-haired boy. Tilting her head to one side, she scrutinized him for a bit, before sitting herself down and offering the sushi bento to him. “You must be hungry,” she sounded nervous and unsure of herself, “What’s your name, by the way?”

"Pretty impressive to beat him, but rank doesn;t mean much in terms of gauging strength...." She enjyed when they sparred, he was quick with his movements, and didnt waste time to attack. "I knew him well, and you remind me of him, all right." Smiling, he reminded her of one of those wise uncle types, yet he seemed more of shadow then anything. Reflected in those eyes, he seemed.....saddened, he looked as though he witnessed quite a but in his life. "We'll fight them soon enough, still your blade till then, alright?" Before she could go on, it seemed Elisa was intruiged by the blonde boy in the distance. A sigh escaping her, she rises slowly, a nod to the kind new friend she had just made. "Excuse me for a bit, I have to go somewhere~" Bowing to him slowly, she uses a shunpo in mid bow, soon enough catching to Elisa as she was approaching him.

"Elisa, wait...he's...." Stopping, he gets a better look at the boy in question, her answered no confirmed. He seemed to avoid Elisa over something, and she wished to find out. "Did something happen between you two Au-sama?" Her smile widened, as she finally figured the teen to be the telepath. She often thought he would have looked nice if he didn't trade his body for power, her thoughts now true. Perhaps he would question why she was starting to refer to him as such, but there was no point in hiding such a thing, especially when he could ask the universe. "Remeber the telepath Elisa, because he certainly remembers you, but from what I have no clue..."

"I hope you see the sun.. Someday in your darkness."

He nodded his head in a welcome to Kwang, "Pleasure, boy. Welcome to the Gotei 13." As Daisuke looked over the young male who called himself Kwang, he came up with one word besides newbie; 'Cannon-fodder'. He frowns to himself as he thinks about it, but it may sadly be correct. He pats the young man on his shoulder, "I think you and I could be friends." He smiled whole-heartedly at the boy, and looked to Elisia as she went to leave. Daisuke bows his head and waves her off. He turns to Kato to speak to him, somewhat overwhelmed by the group he did not expect.

He nods his head to Kato as well, but in welcome and as a yes. The only features out of Daisuke that showed may be; He was trained in combat, he did not care for appearance (even at funerals), he had a strange Zanpakutō, his eyes shown dully with sadness perhaps more than age, and he had three claw scars on his chin covered by his beard. He looks to Nu as she goes to depart, "Of course, do as you please." Daisuke turns to Kato as Nu disappears in her shunpo. He looks Kato over and raises an eyebrow as he thinks. He liked this boy's looks. He smiles, "Good ta meet you, Kato-taichō. I'm Daisuke Ichirou, all right. Lieutenant of Third Division, under Captain Akiri Manami.. Speaking of the boy, where is he?" Daisuke did seem to think himself to be older than he was, but that was more mental fatigue than physical fatigue. By no means was he to go insane, or lose mental functioning, but the fatigue from deaths of comrades and those dear to him does not leave him.

Hibiki Kirisho
- Squad Nine Captain -

================================================

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The gods trembled
The demons flocked

Arriving from his Squad office with a quick and rather well-executed Shunpo, 9th Squad Captain, Hibiki Kirisho appeared near the foot of Soukyoku Hill, just a few yards away from Hei’s tomb. With a short sigh, he brushed his plain white hair to the side as he scratched his head, trying to rid himself of thoughts of Hei, for now was not the time to give in to sheer frustration and kick dirt upon the grave of a man-- especially since Tsukiko and Yuki would most likely subject him to a fate worse than death, should he ever have the gall to attempt such a stunt. Looking around, the first thing his mind focused on was the suspended figure of the Exaequere, Dolor. Even from his relatively far away location, Hibiki’s eyes could still make out the stiff and unmoving grin that was etched across Dolor’s bloody face. It seems that not even Tsukiko could wipe the smug of a madman’s face, though Hibiki was wondering whether the smile remained because of willpower, or rigor mortis, if it was the latter then he wondered why he hadn’t been released yet-- perhaps as a sort of offering to Hei, the body of the man who killed him was not suspended in mid-air by his daughter, utterly powerless and perhaps already dead and rotting. The image itself would probably bring a smile to Hei’s face, and that just made Hibiki frown even more.

Diverting his attention away from such thoughts, he noticed the figure of a young, blonde man, staring at the suspended body of Dolor. He stood just a few inches away from the boundaries of the Sekkisek barrier, implying that he was aware of the mechanism that Tsukiko had employed to subdue the second Exaequere. This made Hibiki suspicious as to who he was, as always he was lacking in pertinent, as well as vital information regarding the various events that had happened after the confrontation with Dolor. He debated with himself, whether or not to interrogate him as to his identity, but was stopped when he disappeared from his original location. Scanning the area with his eyes, Hibiki caught a glimpse of him, resting upon one of the beams at the top of Soukyoku Hill. Taking into consideration the fact that he seemed to have no intention of saving Dolor, Hibiki assumed he was an ally, most likely employed by either one of the Hakases. With that much figured out, Hibiki finally made his way closer towards Hei’s tomb, upon doing so he caught sight of several familiar faces, as well as a few new ones. With another sigh, he continued walking towards the group, waving towards them as he did so ”Yo, so I guess we’re a bit early, ri--“ he stopped as he noticed what Elisia had brought along with her. He recalled that they had been instructed by Tsukiko to come well-prepared, but bring along snacks seemed to be a bit, inappropriate, for him at least ”C-Captain Elisia, are those… snacks?” he commented, trying his best not sound impolite.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho

"Telling me to go. But hands beg me to stay. Your lips say that you love. Your eyes say that you hate. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take."
User Image

(Short post >_>.)
Lee arrived after a few others having stopped off to grab a bite to eat in the form of an apple or two before leaving. Once there he immediately scanned the area for everyone who was there and found himself staring at quite a few new faces. One was easily enough recognized as Aurelius given the resemblance to his younger self and the fact that his clothes were basically the same just bigger. Not to mention the quincy necklace around his neck that Lee had every intention to ask him about some time. Then there was the most obvious give away of him not feeling like any one race yet a mixture of them. The two who were obviously Captains were eventually barely recognized as Elisia and Kato simply because of coincidence. The other two however were unknown given they obviously were not in his Division and to be honest he really didn't care at the moment. Lee's usual calm and neutral expression was on his face as he waited for everything to begin. His only greeting to the others was a small inclination of his head in their direction. Hands down by his side he now waited for Tsukiko to arrive. There would be no time for it obviously but the need to question her motives for invading was present in his mind. Aurelius' little slip up or unintentional mess up was still present and Lee didn't think the boy well man now was the type to mess up such a thing. Still there would be no time for questions so he would simply settle for keeping an eye on her a little.

Kwang-Sun

Kwang-Sun nodded in response to what Daisuke said. Kwang never really had time , even though he thought friendship was a beautiful thing, for friends ever in his life because he was always busy helping out his parents and looking out for them. Then when his dad died he was to busy feeding his mom and training to become a Shinigami. Kwang never knew what it was like to have a friend. By Daisuke response to him, he knew Daisuke must have had many friends in the past and must have a lot now.

Kwang bowed in respect to all the visiting Shinigami that came by. Kwang looked around at all the Shinigami that were around and noticed that each one of them was different than the other. They all had different personalities and had different ways of saying the same thing. It was amazing that the Soul Society had this much variety of people in one place. It was a thing of beauty.

Kwang put both his hands inside the opposite sleeves of his kimono. Kwang-Sun waited for Daisuke to finish speaking to the person in front of him before he began to talk. Daisuke, How long have you been a Shinigami? I have don't my studies on all the people, except for Hei, in the Soul Society but i have not ever come across info about yourself. Kwang spoke with such ease that you couldn't really tell that he was a newbie in the Soul Society. It was fine with Kwang to be the newbie because that mean no one has ever seen his powers and what he could do. That put a slight grin on Kwang face because he could surprise them all with his abilities.

Jūnibantai Taichō

Though the boy had been lightly sleeping, he was quick to realize Elisia had appeared near him. He moved from his position with a Shunpo, having been sprawled out on his back, balancing precariously on the narrow beam with all limbs hanging off their respective sides; his Quincy cross dangling to the left. Now standing atop the part of the closest pole that rose above the horizontal beam, he proceeded to go red in the face at the mere sight of Elisia, and then Nu. Closing his left hand but leaving his pointer finger out, he stabbed his finger in Elisia's direction. "Damnable shrew of a woman! Having relations with my mistress at such a time! Now I can't get your damn thoughts out of my head. For ******** sake woman, control your perverted head and stop thinking about how you were all over-"

His sentence was cut short with the sudden appearance of a shin to his mouth, that shin belonging to one Hakase Tsukiko who had just kicked him in the face to shut him up. Lowering her foot, she turned towards Elisia and Nu as the blonde haired boy crashed to the hill below and tumbled off the edge of the cliff, all the while cursing Tsukiko's name and howling in pain. "Fix your own damn head, idiot. And stop stealing daddy's technology!" Stepping forward, she took Elisia's hand into her own and shoo'd Nu away behind Elisia's back doing so rather rudely, though she didn't seem to care about this. "You are... well rested, I hope?"

Smiling, Tsukiko pulled Elisia into a hug and kissed the very base of her neck twice, then turned around and leapt from the scaffold, landing on the meadow down below, cratering the ground upon landing, a testament to her chassis' weight, though this was skewed a little because Jūshin lessened this impact significantly. Scanning the area, she saw several people, mostly captains, and some lower seats that she already knew. Actually, it was more accurate to say she, with great detail, knew who they were, not knew them personally. "Mother... and Harasawa are missing. And Sanbantai, Rokubantai, Nanabantai, Jūbantai, Jūichibantai and Jūsanbantai Taichō are all missing as well..." Suffice it to say, she had no idea of the most recent promotions, hence her thinking that Tetsunosuke and the 6th Division Captain were different people, as well as Hideki not registering as the 13th Division Captain. A small holographic clock with red numbers that displayed the time down to the nanosecond flashed over her right eye before vanishing a few seconds later. "Four minutes..." Clutching Jūshin tightly, she slid her into her hakama before sitting down on the nearest boulder and lowering her head in thought.

"DAMN WOMAN!" Aurelius sprung to his feet as soon as he stopped rolling along the ground, and jabbed his finger in Tsukiko's direction while holding his nose; he had gained a nosebleed which was the price he paid for letting his barrier drop during his embarrassment. Still red in the face, he attempted a Shunpo towards her, but fell flat on his face when it failed. Laying there, the disgruntled young man let out an aggravated sigh and talked to the ground.

Nu was more stunned at Tsukiko's rather....amiable mood, to be affected by her rather clear signals to leave. With a slow nod, she steps down, walking on mere air down to where the telepath was......sprawling. "Walked in to a private moment I suppose?" She found the whole situation funny. While he seemed powerful, and in all rights he was, but in certain areas he seemed no different from a regular boy, albeit a boy with a rather high vocabulary. Offering a hand, she waited for him to disregard it and stand, but until then, she remained there, looming over him, her eyes fixed on his head, as he was currently talking to the ground.

"I suppose her "daddy's technology" explains the body?"

Tadashi, having finished business in the form of a few instructions for the squad to follow in his absence, appeared with a smooth shunpo near where Captain Hibiki stood. He had no idea why he was here, since no one had bothered to mention anything to him.

"What were the summons for, Hibiki-taicho? Is there a battle coming...?" he asked in an irritable tone. He hated the fact that he was last to arrive, and also that he wasn't informed about what was happening.

'If there is a battle coming, your place is here, where the other useless ones await,'commented Tenma crudely, demonstrating his newfound dislike for his owner once more. Tadashi paid the zanpakuto no mind for now, since he was still trying to figure out his current dilemma with the sword. Apparently, he wasn't bloodthirsty enough for the sword's taste. Frankly, he had no idea what to do about it.

“A telepath?” she breathed in disbelief. No, Nu was absolutely kidding right? That was not looking good for her. A telepath…was he Aurelius? She was confused and puzzled as to whether or not she should say something about what had happened or more accurately, what Aurelius had accidentally come across. Biting her tongue, she attempted to divert her mind from travelling down a certain channel since she had a feeling he was most likely able to read her thoughts or something like that. However, Hibiki’s words provided an opportunity to think about something else, so she turned to him with a smile on her face. “Hmm? Um, I wasn’t sure whether I’d be hungry or whatever, so I thought I’d bring some snacks. Most of my food’s down there at the moment,” she waved at where Daisuke, Kato and Kwang were, “Help yourself if you want some.” It was just after she finished speaking that Aurelius stabbed a finger in her direction. Uh-oh. As he started to swear and curse at her, she could feel herself blushing red again. To say the least, she hadn’t been intending for anyone to find out this way and the only bit of luck that she had right now, was the fact that it seemed as if Yuki wasn’t around. She had opened her mouth to say something, “Um, I--” but she was cut off by the sudden appearance of Tsukiko, who had kicked Aurelius in the face. Ouch. She winced slightly as he crashed to the hill below.

She hadn’t been intending on really doing anything like that, but at least, it had shut Aurelius up, right? She’d have to talk to that guy later, anyway, since it was her fault that he was feeling so bad. As Tsukiko embraced her and kissed her, Elisia completely forgot about everyone else around, instead focusing on the girl before her. There was a sense of loneliness and loss as Tsukiko pulled away and leapt from the scaffold. Ah well. She’d have to get used to that all the time, since Tsukiko had more important things to take care of for the moment. “I’m good,” she said to nobody in particular since Tsukiko had left. Clearing her mind quickly, she nodded as a way of greeting to Tadashi, who had arrived. A shout from Aurelius made her twist her head quickly and she rolled her eyes. Great. There was so much trouble, simply because of their relationship. Since Nu was with Aurelius, she wouldn’t bother them for too long, but she shunpo’ed over to them anyway. Gingerly taking several tissues, she dabbed at the blood that was coming from his bleeding nose. She carefully forced him up into a sitting position, saying quietly, “Lean forward, or else you’ll swallow the blood and it’ll be really unpleasant…and pinch the bridge of your nose. The bleeding should stop soon.”
