Basket - Stage 1 Dai was born into a regular family of drafts. He had two other brothers and two loving parents, Ethen and Gloria. They were superb parents, and firmly pressed their beliefs onto their children, teaching them about kindness, generosity and respect.
Foal - Stage 2 When Dai was a young foal his family was targeted by a wolfwalker named Toldeo who was seriously crazy. He thought Dai's parents were spreading lore of the devil and went out of his way to stalk their family after their initial meeting. Ethen and Gloria knew that Toldeo was following them so they split up, Ethen going one way as bait and Gloria and the foals going another way. Gloria hid the brothers in different spots as she fled, until only Dai was left. She hid him in a rock crevasse and was only a few feet away when Toldeo got her. Dai watched as she was slain but luckily he was not noticed by the wolfwalker. It left to find his brothers soon after and whether they survived or not Dai will never know. He hid in the crevasse for a week until, weak, fearful and hungry he staggered out to eat or face starvation.
Young Adult - Stage 3 Dai then began to explore the world around him. Although bitter and numb to start with, his parents beliefs heavily influenced the way he approached life. He pulled out of the depression that followed his family's slaughter and began to view the world for the beautiful place that it is. He began to think more about the spirits that guided him through his endeavors, and about how he should honor them for letting him experience the natural beauty all around him. During this time he was also thankful to meet many other soquili and he began to learn that not all soquili were evil. He even began to seek out other soquili for company and during this time he made a vow to himself, to aid any wounded creature he came across. At this time he comes across a mare named Adalyn, who he encounters several times in the future.
Young Adult - Stage 4 As Dai travelled he come across many interesting denizens of the soquili world, but none so interesting as a pair of goats named Quoppa and Digamma. Intrigued by their unusual relationship and baffled by their carelessness, Dai has decided to play guardian and protect them from the dangers that they don't seem to comprehend...and not long after the trio was found by Tau. A young, spunky goat that acts as helper to Dai, he provides both leadership and sociability to the group.
