Digamma / Quoppa / Tau

Flowers. Flowers colored daffodil yellow and pretty pink covered the meadow where the herd was residing. It was a lovely day, not too hot nor too cold. The sun was out, the wind was non-existent and the tree line was far enough away that any newcomers would be spotted before their arrival. It was truly a fabulous place where the herd had stopped for the day.

“It’s here, I know it’s here, gotta be gotta be-” The black goat had just started on his second hole. He was already several feet down in the dirt and was using his small hooves to move as much dirt as possible out of his way.

"Of course it is, it has to be down there Digamma” Tau drawled. He appeared bored with the whole affair, which was probably true, since this scenario seemed to play out every other day. The little cream goat watched for a few moments, eying his friend before sneaking closer to the hole. And the dirt that was freshly dug out of it. Raising an eyebrow, he turned abruptly and started kicking backwards exuberantly. Pushing the freshly dug rocks, dirt and clumps of grass back into the hole.

Digamma didn’t seem to notice, but his muttering increased in speed, following his rapidly moving thoughts.

Dai on the other hand, relaxed in the sun. He had lain down; legs folded under him, mane and tail pooling out around him and was watching, amused, as Tau went about his daily routine of bothering the old fart, Digamma. Quoppa was curled by his side, asleep. Which was a good thing since she’d be all over Tau for bothering her lover if she’d been conscious. Every now and then Dai’d glance around, searching for threats or just other creatures on the move. When nothing alarming presented itself, he’d go back to watching the antics of his herd.

Walking slowly through the meadow,Adelia looked at everything that her eyes could see. This was one of the most beautiful places she's been, but during the winter it was one of the most ugliest for her.You could see no flowers at all,no bees,no birds,no rabbits. It was a sad time of year.Brushing that thought off her shoulders Adelia picked up a couple flower tops and ate them. They were rather tasty, and with the sun beating down on her black, white and blue body it made the day and smells of the meadow even more relaxing.Sighing softly she started to prance through the flowers like she thought a princess would.Thats was her dream you know,to be a beautiful princess! Her curly mane bounced in the wind as she pranced through the soft breeze.

Digamma had seemed to finally take notice of the cream goat. He snorted, then glared at the offender. "It's gotta be here". With little warning he lowered his head and charged out of the hole at Tau.

Tau quickly retreated, legs flailing as he scampered out of Digamma's range. Laughing, he bolted as fast as a he could across the few feet of meadow to Dai's back. Which he promptly jumped up on. He turned back to the old goat...which had already gone back to digging. Tau sighed and looked down at Dai, "Boooring." He then surveyed the meadow from his perch, much like a meerkat would.

"Hey Dai! Something's There!" A small movement had caught the goat's eye. Something moving in the wind.

Tau's words sparked immediate panic in the draft stallion. He scrambled to his feet, dislodging Tau and waking up Quoppa in the process. He did a quick 360degree search and easily spotted the whitish mare 50 feet distant. With a gentle sigh he expelled all his fears of skinwalkers and kalonas. Voice soft and somewhat effeminate, he addressed Tau, not bothering to look at him, "You could have explained what it was. Gave me a near heartattack."

"Which you would have gotten, if you hadn't dumped me so quickly." The goat replied sulky from where he had landed.

Quoppa blinked sleepily as the draft and goat exchanged words, clearly still trying to comprehend the situation. "So what is it then? Something dangerous?"

"A mare, and she doesn't look evil. Not a walker or kalona anyway," Dai replied quietly.

The female goat blinked again,"Should we go meet her then?"

"Nah...we can't leave crazy here alone by himself." Tau replied lightly, gesturing with his head at Digamma.

Quoppa gave Tau an offended look at the clear insult to her lover.

Dai, on the other hand, nodded in agreement and turned to watch the mare from where he stood.

[I realized its hard to read that color. xD]
Adelia's ears didn't catch the multiple voices coming from across the meadow.Slowing down from her prance she laid down slowly in the grass."I need a slight rest,I've been wandering around all day."She said softly as she closed her eyes and flicked her tail.It was so relaxing with the sun beating down upon her skin. The feather from her hair fell down onto her face after being caught in the wind,it had scared her half to death.Get up she quickly looked around half scared. Then she realized it was the stupid feather her mother put into her hair.Laughing softly at herself, she noticed the others across the way when she had looked around. There was a stallion and three goats. Why would he be with three goats?

Dai watched the mare startle awake and chuckled to himself. He was amused by the similarities in their actions. "Alrighty guys, pack up. Let us go meet this stranger." amusement tinged Dai's quiet words and he had gentle smile upon his face.

Tau was sticking his tongue out at Quoppa when Dai made the announcement to go meet the newcomer, but he immediately turned to the draft. One eyebrow raised. "Really? You. You're actually going to go greet a stranger?" His disbelief was evident. "Well I guessss there's a first for everything..."

"Why don't I just stay here?? You guys can go over and visit if you'd like and I'll watch my hubby? We're still in sight of each other after all." Quoppa asked archly, still glaring at Tau unapprovingly.

Dai pondered. "Sure..."

Quoppa nodded absently and made her way over to Diagamma, dismissing the draft and the cream goat from mind.

Dai headed off in the opposite direction, towards the unknown mare. Quiet smile still in place.

Tau looked at Quoppa then back to Dai. He shrugged then with one last quick glance at Diagamma and Quoppa, headed off after Dai. A bounce in every step.

Adelia flicked her tail and picked up some grass. She kinda kept her eyes on the ones across the way,but she didn't pay too much attention.Tossing her mane the mare thought about why that stallion was with a bunch of goats and not a bunch of gorgeous mares. She listened to the goats ramble on about him going to meet her and see who she was.Adelia gave a slight laugh.Silly little things they were.
Her ears perked up as they came towards her.She lifted her head up to watch them.Adelia gave a small head nod to the two. That stallion seemed so happy with not a care in the world. She would love to be like that, really she sorta was but there was so much running in her little mind. Adelia waited for the stallion to call out to her,as shy a she was she didn't want to talk first.
