Dai tromped through the forest, not bothering to be quiet. His heavy draft hooves were muffled by the thick layer of leaves that covered the forest floor. It was fall. The leaves were already starting to change to the bright yellows and reds that signaled the end of summer, and plenty of them had fallen off the trees altogether. The day was nice, slightly cool, but not damp or raining which was a relief.
Dai, himself was in a rather pleasant mood. He enjoyed days like this and was humming a little ditty under his breath. Tail, and head bouncing to the beat, he appeared to be a rather joyous looking stallion.

Her life had no meaning or so it felt like. She felt like her world had ended her mate had failed to show himself for sometime now of course she was not worried she would just have to move on. He could not hold her back forever he must of found another and forgotten her and frankly she did not care time would go on. She did long to have a purpose though wishing she had foals to take care of that would be something to live for. She sighed wandering among the trees leaves blowing in the breeze. It was fall now and leaves were everywhere no matter where you looked it was a time of change and that was what she needed it was time to move on and stop thinking about HIM and his words his lies. She may have loved him once but no longer and if he suddenly showed up she would walk away from the one who broke her heart. It was then she noticed something moving ahead she saw a mound of grey then she saw it seemed to be moving its head and noticed it was a stallion. She sighed and walked right up to him tired of hiding and playing the fool. He looked happy and that was all she longed for she wanted to know why he was this way his looks also made her want to learn more. Possibly he could give her meaning or become a friend who could guide her if only she knew her her brother was.
"Hello..I could not help but notice you..Do not fear me i am done with my ruse at least for now..My face will remain hidden though you shall not see it or you may grow on me.."

Dai had been so lost in the song and his joy that he barely noticed the mare until she was, quite literally, in front of him. He stopped, cutting off the end of his little song, and took a step back reflexively. He peeked out from under his bangs and quickly scanned the mare up and down. She looked like a ghost. Shiny white, fading into gray, with a black mane braided behind her. And a black masked that accented her glowing white pupils.
Dai took another step back. A ghost, indeed...but what had she said? Don't fear her?
"Hello there," Dai's words were cautious and quiet, but also gentle and soothing. "What are you doing out here..." He slowly glanced around, making sure that no one else had snuck up on him while he was preoccupied "...alone on such a beautiful day?"

He was right to worry about her but she did not feel like trying to scare him. Some talk would be nice might even help her forget about her problems. If he had met her another time she would of never gone and talked first she would of waited in the shadows till he got closer. She took this time to observe him better his mane and tail were quite odd big and poofy she thought it looked like a mare style but she said nothing.
"I am Adalyn..I can tell what your thinking i am a spirit i see spirits..I may ask the same to you what are you doing in the forest..? I am alone because it would seem my mate had lost intrestit in me i have no feelings for him anymore.."

She wasn't a spirit, which was a relief...but she could see spirits? Interesting, but it as long as she didn't tell them to attack him, he wasn't too worried.
But what really caught his attention was the end of her sentence. Dai's ears flicked back and a frown appeared on his face. Dai had never loved another soquili to such an extent as to be mated, nor did he plan too...but he had seen many couples on his journeys and he knew that mating was supposed to be a bond that lasted forever. And this mare...Adalyn. Hers had just left her. Sad, it was very sad.
Dai's voice was still peaceful, but no longer cautious, "I'm just wandering...enjoying the sunshine and the pleasantness of fall. I'm sorry to hear about your mate though..." Ears still back, Dai truly looked as though it pained him to her of her misfortune.

Why was this stallion frowning? Of course he did not care about her feelings none ever did she knew he would not be any different. She shook the thought that he might be from her head and focused on keeping other things away from her mind. His emotions meany nothing the movement of his ears or the look on his face anyone could lie she knew that firsthand she had been the deceiver but her mate had been a better one. This stallion had not even told her his name she had shard hers she should of been the way he was cautions with every piece of info that was given.
"Wandering..Sounds like you also have no purpose..I am a wandering spirit infact.."
She watches as the spirits come out and do what they always do they seem happy even the foals.
"I see them now.." Her hear snap back and somehow a very low growl much more like a horse sound than an animal escapes her "Do not mention him if you do you will be sorry..I am wanting to move on he is nothing to me now he left before i had the chance"
