"ok then....if we do know him then whats my real name?" he asked glaring at Sam before looking toward Luna "Don't tell him Luna.....I want him to know if he can guess it" Ryu then turns back toward Sam and looks at him angrilly before saying "Why ain't you answerin!!!" he said grabbing Sam by his shirt collar acting like he was about to punch him. before realizing what he was doing and releasing him and saying "sorry dude, I'm just a little on edge right now" he said holding his hand out for Sam to shake

"Oh, you mean you wouldn't have enjoyed spending the evening with Rawrshark? I'll take it as a compliment that you're enjoying yourself with me," he said, with no amount of unfalse pride. The slow song ended and a new, faster beat kicked into gear. Alex took that as a cue to end the dance, sliding his hand from her hip and taking a long step back, extending his other arm to avoid dragging her along with him. As he stepped back, he folded his free arm underneath him and bowed at the waist to her. "Thank you for this dance," he said, a genuine smile plastered on his face.
He kept hold of her hand, though as he rose. "Would you care for another dance or would you like to head over to the haunted house now?" he asked her. He enjoyed the dance, even more so with someone his own age, not his mother or grandmother. He could certainly enjoy another dance with her, now that she was beginning to shed her shell, but he was open to all possibilities, so he'd let her choose what she was comfortable with.

Kira laughed before she could stop herself, then quickly fell silent again and cast a quick glance around to see if she'd been overheard. But, they were on the dance floor, and it seemed highly unlikely that he would be as well. So, she figured she was safe. "Mhmm, and it's a good thing you don't have to feel jealous now either," she added with a little half grin.
Her ears gave a slight twitch at the music change, and she looked briefly uncertain again, peering back to Alex as if requesting guidance. When he stepped back and bowed, she mimicked him slightly, dipping a little with a soft tug at her skit. "Thank you," she murmured in repetitive response, smiling back at him, and very aware that he was still holding her hand. She didn't try to pull away, but just glanced at it, taking note, and then returned her gaze to his eyes.
"I'm... afraid to dance any further," she admitted. "I haven't messed up yet... I'd hate to ruin that. To the house then..?"

Alex let out a cocky chuckle. "My jealousy was beginning to get the best of me," he assured her. They shared their conspiratorial moment before he realized he was still holding her hand. If it didn't bother her, it certainly didn't bother him, he would take his hand back the moment she asked, but as long as she allowed him, he would hold her hand. Like a real date, and they had actually chosen each other.
Heck, it worked out just as well to be set up. Alex smiled to himself at the irony. Before, he was willing to kill whoever had set him up for a blind date, but now he might just buy them dinner. He nodded as she voiced her unwillingness to give herself more room to mess up. "Quit while you're ahead, huh?" he asked, one eyebrow up. "Good idea. Let's head over this so-called haunted house."
Alex weaving the way through the dance floor for them, and they emerged ruffled, but unscathed near the doors. Strange how this place had filled up so fast, despite it's emptiness when he had arrived. He spotted a few now-familiar faces and realized one of the side benefits of coming to an event like this. You met people here and there and established relationships, he thought as they left the dance hall.

Varon, or in this case, Lucien raised his hands in a gesture of reluctant acceptance, "Ah, but you cannot blame me for making such a presumption. After all, one might argue the futility of attending a dance while refusing to do so and shunning the company of others. But, to each his own, as one might argue."
Although he'd encountered stubborn women who seemed to despise his presence, experience showed that it wasn't something that couldn't be remedied by a certain tenacity and the correct approach- for the most part, anyhow. But dedicating the time and resources to a single person defeats the purpose of scouting and prodding for future prospects and it would be best to part. His tone shifted into something slightly more philosophical the next time he'd spoken, "And I do not hold such rudeness against you. After all, it is not easy to turn an outright refusal into something polite- I do commend you, however, for you honesty... blunt as it was."
"Verily, that is not far from the truth- and I'd be lying if I were to deny that." Varon bowed his head in corteous acknowledgement, "However, as you insist on my departure, I feel obliged to grant your wish of solitude. It is a shame that I could not extend my hospitality and thus wish you the very best of nights." His frame bent in a similar gesture before backing up slowly, "Happy Hallows Eve, Lady Raphaela" He added before turning around into the crowd, vanishing from sight just as a couple walked past him.

Phae watched him go and as she did she leaned back her head t sigh. Really she wasn't out to make enemies. She didn't want to be known as that little hateful girl. She just didn't see the point in starting any friendships, and certainly not any relationships.
"I'm sorry." she called out. She had no intention of actually accepting his invitation. But he was right. It was dumb that she was here. But the only reason why she was was so the school wouldn't contact Hitomi. It wasn't that she wanted to be here. It was for appearances strictly.
Lucien, or whatever his name was seemed like an alright person. Nothing to get excited over. So far she'd never met anyone who made her heart beat fast. Which was good, because she figured if she ever met that person it would be harder to deny them. But she'd have to.

Ristuka's tail wagged happily back and forth. Early in the dead she had to cut a whole in it just so she could "let it breath." This wasnt something new though. She had to do it for just about anything she bought and didnt hand make. 'Well I can talk to animals but only via the mind. Some people though can do it to humans or other creatures like humans.'

Aki gets up and decides to leave. But where would I go? I know I'll go to the haunted house! After she thinks that she lets out a quiet evil laugh. "mwahaha!" [Spazz edit: Again, your posts are too short. They need to be at least 2.5 lines.]

Zexon's furry little head tilted, large ears directed toward Ristuka despite the fact that she was speaking directly to his mind. Oh, I see... I have heard of telepaths, he agreed with a slight nod. But I hadn't met one before. If he could, he would be smiling, peering up at her with interest. It wasn't every day he was able to speak to someone other than Akimi. He was glad she'd brought him along. She almost hadn't.
Aki lingered just to the side of them, watching silently as she munched upon cookie after cookie, building up an ever growing sugar rush. It showed in the way she'd started swaying side to side, and bouncing forward and back on the heels of her feet.

Luna sees Varon walking through the crowd, but instead of seeing his face, she sees a flash of a face of someone in her past. Her eyes turn from red to gray and back again as she turns to Ryu. "Gentlemen" curtsies "If you will excuse me for one second, there is something I really must attend to, I will be back" She picks up her dress and walks up to Varon who was walking through the crowd, but instead of approaching him smoothly like she had hoped she tripped on her dress and ended up stumbling into him turning red. "Oh! Excuse me sir, I did not mean to.." takes a step back and has the flahs again eyes staring.

Sam smiled a bit, her ears going down and her tail swishing around behind her. "Perfectly fine..." she said after he had threatened her, straitening out her collar before looking back at them with a friendly face. Haku peeked out of her right pocket on her shirt and stared shyly at them, her bow had been changed, it was a dark purple-black, and she wore a dark black-purple skirt along with her normal gray shirt and purple tie. Sam looked at them, hardly noticing Haku looking out, and said. "Those were some intense games weren't they Ryu?" she asked with a smile her eyes changing to a light blue like they were when she was a girl. She wondered if those few hints would tip the scale of remembrance. Haku quickly hid once again, noticing a few stares from some kids, and she was shy.

Austin slipped through the door quietly, tipping his hat down slightly to hide his face a bit more. He'd decided to go stag to this event, since he couldn't find a date in time, and wasn't sure exactly what he would do while he was here, besides cause a bit of mischief and flirt shamelessly with some girls. And, to be honest, he could have done the same thing at the mall; but he figured he might as well come here, and dress up a bit. Which was different, for Austin. He was dressed in steam-pressed black jeans and a cotton button-up shirt, both of which were crisp and fresh to the touch. Austin had a large silver belt buckle, which had the kanji of wind imprinted on it, poking out proudly. He wore a Crisp black fedora hat, and had freshly shined leather shoes on, which clicked slightly with each step he took, giving his movements presence.
Austin sidled away from the door after a moment of looking around; there was actually LIFE here, in RIA.
"Wow."

"I know, right?" came a voice from Austin's side. A slender figure he'd nearly bumped into into his sidling looked up from the shadows with a shy smile on his boyish face. "Um.. sorry.." he said from behind the shadows of one of the dark-colored hanging tapestries in the hall. "This place is occupied?" the figure stuck his nose out of the shadows, flashing a pale smile cast shily from pristine blue eyes. The teen's black hair was worn short on the side of his face, layered to create the illusion of thicker hair. A black tuxedo shirt collar poked out from the darkness as well as he slowly took a step forward, giving a wary glance at the mingling crowd.
"Look at all of them." the boy said nervously, trying to feign casualness. "I mean.. really." he started to stammer. "They're.. um.." Obviously there wasn't an end to that statement.
"I mean.. I dunno.." he mumbled meekly.

Ristuka was becoming more comfortable around her new crowd of sociables. She preffered the bat though because he was an animal and Ristuka had always found safety amoung animals and nature than she had humans or other nightworld creatures like herself. 'So what can you do? Are you a special bat or just a bat?'

Austin turned slowly, his head moving faster than his frame. He scooted away slightly when he noted that he was nearly invading someone's personal space.
"Whoa, man, i'm sorry. Didn't see you there."
Austin noted the youth's features; at first, he seemed to be dressed up in Emo fashion, but then Austin noticed he was simply a pale boy with black hair. He was obviously a little shy, feeling the presence of the crowd a bit much to endure. Austin decided to take the brotherly approach to this.
"Yeah, it's a lot of people, huh? I thought there'd be a few couples, but man, this is an actual party."
