The Dance Floor

Like all dance floors, this one has a large, spread area for dancing. The floor is wooden but has a modification to light up. A disco ball hangs overhead, but it has several functions; normal, laser lights, or Halloween shapes. Instead of reflecting little circles, it'll reflect images in the shapes of bats or witches on brooms!

To the side of the floor is a DJ station, where people can request certain songs, or just let things play out on their own. Stand too close to the speakers and your brains might be blast out your ears.

The building itself is pretty expansive, spreading out over a large area to accommodate its large body of students. Lighting is set pretty low, with candles spread about and an eerily glowing chandelier overhanging the area before you reach the actual dance floor. Deep crimson curtains hang over the windows to block out light, but the ceiling itself is painted with a starry sky that seems to somehow glow on its own. Occasionally an odd shadow passes across it. There's a few rather intricately carved pumpkins spread about as well.

There's also a long table set against the back with themed treats and snacks and a fountain of orange punch. Cups and other drinks are set to the side.

So it was finally time to see how the student body had matured. Scytheress walked into the dance hall with her usual flair but with far less clothing. In the spirit of the festivities she had elected to dress-up, discarding her normal, well normal for her, clothes and donned what's typically called a cage-suit. Solid black material covered her chest and hips while black studded strips ran between the two pieces and then down her legs. In all her years attending Halloween functions she'd never missed the opportunity to push the envelope on allowable sexy-wear. So what if it was a school? She taught sex-ed now so this could be seen as an introductory class. Well, for the introverts in the corner anyway. But the emo-kids weren't really her concern for the moment, Scy was on the hunt for the poor morsel that had been given up to her as a sacri-.... as a date. The man, or boy depending, would do well to not keep her waiting too long. As it were, Scytheress had consumed two glasses of punch and nibbled on a cookie to keep from tapping her foot with impatience. Well, either way now the sap would be in for a bit of a tongue lashing. Even though she was here to see a specific person, it still would have been nice for someone not involved to ask her to dance or something. With a slight frown, she bit a chunk out of her bat-shaped cookie.

Scythe noticed one other person hanging around supposedly for the same reason but she wasn't completely sure. Thinking he could break the boredom of the early night, she strode up to the boy but before speaking she stared at him in confusion. What is he? A dog? No probably not... but those ears? Unable to control herself, she reached out a hand to the furry black-speckled white ears and gently rubbed the tip in an effort to distinguish the person's heritage by texture. Dumb, she knew, but it was a good excuse as any to touch the fluffy tufts.

Ru had been among the first students to arrive at the dance hall in hopes of being able to assuage his fears as the women continued to file in. Start with a few and work your way up, he told himself. He'd signed up for these blind-date things for the same reason as he'd never be able to function in the school if every time he saw a woman he panicked and ran for the nearest hole to hide in. See, Ru is deathly afraid of the opposite sex thanks to his female-dominated upbringing so whenever he sees a girl, especially one that could be his kind, he freaks out and heads for the hills. It doesn't help that he's genetically prone to fright and flight responses. His current hiding spot wasn't working that well but it kept a small barrier between him and most everyone else. He'd taken up a spot on the back side of the food table where most didn't bother to travel by as in front of him was the ever useless fruit cake. Even so, he wrung his hands together nervously and kept an ever watchful eye out for approaching women. Even girls that didn't realize he was there made him start to duck behind the table, he'd never be able to complete a date let alone wait for one. The tension was too much! All his muscles were coiled like a spring waiting for the smallest infraction to release and run the bejeezus out of there.

Ru was so focused on the people in front of him and so sure people wouldn't be behind him that he first thought the tickling on his ear was the air vents turning on to combat the growing heat in the room. It wasn't until another moment past that he realized it was hitting only one ear and erratically. He took a deep breath to calm himself so he wouldn't jump to conclusions. There were weird people at this school like himself, maybe this one just had a thing for cute ears? Turning his head a fraction of an inch at a time, Ru moved his gaze onto the face of a - "GIRL!" Without a second thought, Ru dove under the table and knocked the fruit cake and a plate of cookies onto the ground when he took part of the tablecloth with him. For a few seconds he fought furiously with the cloth until he had untangled himself and cowered like the sorry excuse for a male he was.

Scytheress jumped when the boy suddenly disappeared under the table. She knew she could be scary sometimes but right now she was supposed to be every boy's dream. Putting two and two together though, she realized what was going on. Thankfully, she thought, she had handled this kind of guy before; you just have to strap him down and show him how he likes it. His ear was so soft too... but she really wasn't in the mood to deal with this kind of drama. Scythe bent down and reached under the table, grabbed a fist-full of clothing, and yanked the little demon from his hiding spot, all the while he flailed and yelped in the vain hope he could escape. Once out, Scy had him in a good hold, well more a hug really. The boy would just have to accept the fact that his tanned (turning red) face was pressed against two finely engineered breasts. Furrowing her brow, she noticed this guy was really out of it, like holy crap scared. Scytheress loosened her grip enough to allow him some wiggle room but not enough to get away. "Look kid, I'm not going to eat you or anything. What's you name?" The boy looked up at her but continued to struggle. "Ru.. Mason." He gave her stomach a strong shove but the fox-elf remained immobile. It was at that point Ru seemed to give up, going mostly slack in Scy's arms and turning his head down consequently to her cleavage. "Well Ru, I'm Scytheress. Now shape the hell up." She released the boy from her hold and took a step back.

Free from the woman's hold, Ru's first instinct was to hide back under the table but he had a feeling she'd just pull him back out again. "Ok..." While he was in open air talking to a woman, he doubted this kind of encounter was going to help his fear any. In fact, it was only because this person scared him so much that he wasn't hiding again. Oh the humanity...

Blue jumped from light to light, getting bored from waiting. He wasn't even paying an attention to the people infront of him. People moved out of the way as Blue chased after one image, seeing as the boy wasn't even looking up. Within second's he was unknowingly approaching his blind date. One final jump, Blue instead hit the bottom of some female much taller and older then him.

With a loud "oof!" Blue fell back and on to his butt and looked up at the person he bumped into. She was hardly wearing any clothes at all! She was wearing underwear and some strings around her body. Did she forget her costume or something? " Sorry...miss. I should have looked where I was going but that light...I just had to catch it for some reason" Blue said, spotting another light on the floor. He tried smacking it with his hand but again, no results. He hissed a bit and then looked back up at the lady putting on a sheepish smile.

rawrshark puts his head on his knees in sadness because he feels alone again and he is starting to get bored. he wishes that he could just leave, but something is making him stay. he cant figure out what it is that is making him stay. he doesnt like this feeling and wishes he could just leave. he doesnt want to live anymore but something wont let him leave this world or this room. he feels as if something is trying to tell him what he is missing. rawrshark doesnt care and just ignores the voices in his head. he sits there in sorrow and waits.

Rawrshark looked up and saw the girl that had just entered and wondered if it was Sukai Sakaki. he didnt think it was and was thinking whether or not to go ask her if it was her. he realized how awkward it would be if it wasnt her. he decided to stay in his corner and let her decide if she wanted to see if he was her blind date. he shrunk back into his corner and stayed there looking shy and sad. he hoped that nobody would come over there and ask him if he was ok because he hates when people ask him that. the voices in his head tell him to stand up and request that they play the song parasitic by psyclon nine or zombie nation (v.2k5 remix) by grendel. he tells the vioces "no not yet." he looks up again and sees the same girl just standing there. he shrinks further into his corner and waits for something to happen.

Luna walks into the dance hall and waits for my date. Looks down at a piece of paper and sees the name Butch. "I wonder where he is?"

Aki walked in and waited "Where could he BE!?" she looked down at the sheet of paper with HIS name on it. it read spade. She sat down and waited. She took a picture of herself while she was waiting.

Luna walked to the snack table bored, wearing a beautiful red rose dress and a long blood red robe and saw someone to strike a conversation with. (describing the dress more would be a good way to add length) She walked over to Alexandros. "Excuse me sir," she said with a strong British accent. "I'm new to this party and don't know much about this." She showed him a paper. "Someone set me up for a blind date, but I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do. Do you just pick someone? And what is a blind date anyway, I mean how are you supposed to know who it is. Because really this paper indicates nothing." She threw the paper on the table in frustration and drank a shot of juice.
