((Baaaaw. =O Now why is he drinking wine at a time like that?))
Rore smiled. "Uh, thanks." He said aloud, then picked up the sword to examine, thinking of where to start. It's pretty much a generic life though, from where I come from, He continued in his head, running a finger down the flat of the blade. I was a knight in training, me and my best friend were, in a kingdom about...east of Salim. A few others were taught with us, though our teacher liked to focus with us. He was like a second father. We grew up for years like that, until we were able to join the king's army. Eventually we got to the point of being promoted to the Royal Guard, directly under and for the king. I was chosen as the captain by the other knights, and my best friend was my second. He paused, listening to the door of the barracks open and close. We fought with the normal army too, battles here and uprisings there. But it got to the point where the king would send us to fight people who weren't violent at all, or were completely peaceful. Whole wars began and ended in just weeks. Me and my friend noticed it more than the other knights. It was wrong. I...I couldn't take it anymore, everything that was going on. Me and Ellen fled the kingdom, my friend staying behind to cover for me, and to keep the king from noticing until we were far away enough that the trail would be cold. The king had a close connection to the Royal Guard. No letters were sent for a while, until I decided it was time to contact my friend, who'd stayed behind though he could've came with us. He started to write too, but then stopped.
Crow paused in midair, watching them descend. He looked down at the ground below, preferring to stay up there instead. Ezekiel darted back down, though, finding another shiny object. Regretfully he followed, but stayed hovering above the ground.
About a minute after George and Marie, Fenrir sat there silently. Then he burst out laughing, tearing up. He covered his mouth up with a hand, his hat toppling off his head to the floor as he shook. "Maybe...Maybe I should've told them that those were only...half of the prints!" He held onto his sides, his ribs hurting more than before. "Or not...They'll have to figure it out the hard way!"
Gorash clambered off the giant bat to the ground as soon as it landed, intending to shoo it away. Instead, he found he had his halberd in his hands and was swinging it. He tried his best to ignore the wet thudding noise when the head hit the ground and rolled, but wasn't able for the laughing. Sighing, he wiped the blade off on the grass, hoping there'd been no pain for the poor beast.

Jake thought for a moment and looked over Rore's armor. What was your friend like? Do you know what happened to him?
Demios was standing in the throngs of a large battlefield. The rebel dragons had fought back ferociously leaving Demios no choice but to slay them. In the end though the day was won.
A messanger came up behind him and bowed. "My lord news from our border scouts."
Demios turned towards the messanger. "Yes? What is it?"
"The scouts report that the remaining rebels have moved towards our enemies in the east and have made alleagence."
As demios was about to wave him away the dragon spoke.
"What is more disturbing, sir is that there has also been unusual sightings towards the black mountains."
Demios had a stoney face and squinted his eyes. "WHat kind of sightings?"
"Well, Sir...Dark Elves. They seemed to be scouting out the border of the human settlements. Salim in particularly. Large groups of them seem to be moving towards some caves near the mountains directly adjacent to Salim." The messanger was startled as Demios grabbed him.
"Are you sure?" The messanger nodded. Demios released him and looked at his officers. "Mass the remainders of our forces. We must go and warn Salim." With that Demios and his officers sprouted wings and began to fly towards the camps containing their forces.
Reaper was about to speak when a large shadow was seen and not just one but three. Dragons. The three of them landed and transformed into their human shapes. "Ahhh, Braigo I see things did not go so well up in the dragon highlands? Pity.
"I have come to join you in your fight with Salim. I have also brought the two representatives of the black and blue dragon empires." Braigo motioned towards the two other dragons with him. One was wearing blue armor made of mesh scales. She had icey blue eyes and flowing white hair. The other was wearing bulky black armor with a menacing horned helmet. He had red eyes and short black hair. "The female is Galea and the male is Haliam. Galea's kind are ice dragons and Haliam's kind are shadow dragons."
"Very well done Braigo. We shall be moving tonight so we are going to have a war meeting downstairs. Please come with us. Reaper opened the hatch down into the Ravager base and found a suitable room with a map of the world on it. George, Braigo, Galea, Marie, and Haliam followed.

Elistral rolled over in her sleep, not waking up soon. Thoughts of the pending situation was still stuck in her head, and she muttered tactical plans. "Allies...maybe the centaurs?...Or the dwarves...attack from below...Spread ranks..."
No, I don't know. Last I heard from him was after Maria was born, 15 years. Rore shook his head to clear it, he'd been caught in the past, and stood to hand the sword over to a guard. "Take these weapons, sharpen, and clean them." He instructed him, then sat back down and went to restring a bow. He was..., Rore smiled to himself happily. Well, he was something. Always making jokes, laughing, running around the other knights after replacing their clothes with dresses during training. He was barely ever down and depressed. You would have liked to meet him, Jake.
Gorash felt like he would be required to go underground to the meeting, but he was reluctant to go back down. The sun felt nice on his face and he didn't want to leave it.
"You're staying up here?" Crow asked, then watched the man nod. "I would too. But I need to oversee the supplies to prevent any from "disappearing"..." He sighed again and landed on the ground softly, leaving Ezekiel to soar around in the sky some more.
The trapdoor stayed open and Gorash sat on the ground beside it, watching the traffic of Ravagers go up and down the single ladder. You're not going to bury that thing, are you? "No, because I know that you'll just unbury it later."

Jake was coming Rore's mind for an image of the man and eventually found one. Jake then seemed troubled. Excuse me but I believe I have seen this man. But I don't exactly know if it's him. I remember seeing him on a trip somewhere a few years back. Jake combed his own mind and found an image of the man he saw. Is this him?
A Salim gaurd was patroling the wall when he stopped and was startled by something. A large mass of troops were marching towards Salim. Some had wings and were flying. Each of them were dressed in silver armor. A horn call was blasted and a banner was flown from the army. The dragons had come. "The Silver Empire has come. Open the gates!" As the gates were opening a gaurd ran to the barracks to find Rore. "Sir! The Silver Empire has come in large numbers. An army, sir."
Silvia awoke with a start. She had fallen asleep at the bench and yawned. She heard yelling of dragons and an empire. Then it came clearly as she stopped yawning. Demios' people had come. Silvia got up and ran back to the clock tower. She opened the door and went to Elistral. "Elistral, wake up. Demios has come back."
Reaper allowed everyone to enter the room and began. "Okay here's the plan: We are going to destroy Salim. Why? Because Salim is a symbol of hope and freedom. To win against all the races of the world we must destroy these things. So by destroying Salim we pave the path to ultimate victory. Now I have dark elven forces amass..."
"Dark elven forces? But the dark elves have been in hiding for generations." Galea had a look of suspicion on her face.
"Yes...dark elves. Now they are massing in the cave systems of the mountains directly adjacent Salim under the command of my luietenant Oni. At first my plan was for Crow to use his birds to blot the sky out for their sake but now that we have your help Haliam that won't be nessacary. George shall lead the force of shadow dragons and Marie the ice dragons. Your job will be to attack from the sky and keep the sky blackened over. I shall be overseeing all of this and hopefully we shall win the day without me haveing to step onto the actual battlefeild. Any questions?" Reaper paused and no one asked anything. "No? Good. Braigo you shall go with George and Marie to be transported back to your forces. We march against Salim as the sun falls. Good day." Reaper turned as the other left and travelled back outside to be transported away.

((Friggin' fraggin'. Well, in about 2 or so weeks, I'll be at mah dad's. =D *victory dances*))
"Golems!" Elistral woke up with a start, coming out of her sleep. "Oh, sorry. I was..." She shook her head, getting up off of the bed and reaching for her belt and sword. "Demios. So then the dragons have come?" She sighed and clicked the clasp shut. "I was hoping that the impending battle would not be this anxious or extensive."
Rore thought for a long minute before shrugging. He stood up and stretched, rubbing his lower back. He didn't like getting older. "It could be," He answered out loud. "Or not. I haven't seen him in so long that he could have changed and I wouldn't have recognized him at all. What trip was this?" He hung the restrung bow on a peg from the wall, then went to the door of the room to peer out and see who was calling him sir. "Silver Empire army? Well, depending on how big it is, I guess we need all the help we can get. Make arrangements for their stay, however long it'll be. And...please don't call me that."
Fenrir had eventually stopped laughing, staring at the wall now. "Ah, I really don't want to get up right now..." He mumbled aloud, a habit. "But as soon as I get it done then...Wait, no, I'll still have to do things." He sat for a moment longer, flipping his pocket watch open and closed absently. The second hand passed 3 and he swung his legs off the box. "Heck, what am I saying? I kind of like my job." He yawned and disappeared, reappearing underground in a room. A sharp smell stung his nose and he pinched it closed, walking over to a sack. A small hole showed at the bottom and he grabbed some of the stuff pouring out, making a long trail from it to the doorway 15 feet away. Then he dug into a pocket and took out a match, striking it. "Always loved this smell." He tossed it at his feet and exited the room, ducking into a corridor stuffed with demons and other monsters, the flame slowly following the dark trail.
Gorash shortly unbuckled the chest piece of his black armor and weapons, laying back gratefully on the soft grass. This could be the last, real peaceful moment he'd have before everything would be blown to hell. Maybe after Reaper accomplished what he wanted to, he'd be able to go and live in the mountains for a bit. Visit Rore, go back to the Kingdom and see Sera...But that was just wishful thinking under the blue sky. He pushed it away and closed his eyes, actually going into a restful doze.

Every alert and sensor went off in Reaper's robotical brain at once. He turned on his heels and shot out seeing Fenrir running. "No!" Then a loud explosion rocked the cavern and as a result the cavern began to collapse. Reaper had been knocked to the ground. When he got up there was smoke and Fenrir had disappeared. "Everyone out! This place is coming down!" Reaper along with several others ran for the exit. The ladder was already down and Reaper was the first up. He kicked Gorash to wake up. "No time for sleep we've gotta get out of here. Caverns coming down."
"Yes, si...I mean, yes Rore." The postman ran off to relay orders.
"Well, it was a trip to investigate Reaper's movements throughout the city states. I was shadowing Reaper and he had this man following him where ever he went. Like a body guard." Jake got up and also looked out the window at the giant mass of silver clade soilder's marched into the city. "Welp let's go welcome them shall we?" Jake took Rore by the shoulder and they disappeared and reappeared near the gate. They were immeadiately spotted by Demios.
"Ahhh, my friends. So nice to see you in one peice. There are several things I need to inform you of but not here. Let's meet at the barracks later. I need to attend to my men." Demios bowed and walked away to over see his men.
"Well your father is involved. Have you known anything your father was involved in that wasn't anxious or extensive?" Silvia got up and allowed Elistral to go out the entrance first.

Elistral chuckled, smiling. "No, I guess not." She lead the way out of the room, stopping just on the inside of the clock tower's doorway. "It is still hard to think of Strider as my father," She muttered quietly to herself. "Even after a decade. And maybe more." The blurry memories of her childhood had gotten clearer since they'd been unlocked. But it was tough to see Strider as the one who'd come home briefly and told her stories. Elistral let Silvia catch up to her before heading over to where she'd spotted the first of Demios's men coming into Salim.
"Thanks." Rore thought of his friend through the majority of Jake and Demios's exchange. A bodyguard? The last he'd heard was his friend was in the kingdom. Maybe he'd broken free of the king's grasp and taken a job that made it easy to disappear. That must be it, he thought. "That's a large army." He noted, looking at the troops with approval.
Crow heard shouts and felt the crowd around him grow frantic. What was going on? He peered over the heads of the shorter Ravagers in an attempt to see.
"I'd get out of here if I were you, comrade."
"What?" Crow turned around despite the rush to look curiously at the man. "What's going on?"
Fenrir shrugged, dodging behind a bear-like demon. "Something awesome, of course."
Crow frowned confusedly and stood for a second, before allowing himself to be swept away. He took a side route and found one of the other exits of the base. He flew rather than climbed the ladder the way up, coming back out into the sunshine.
Gorash woke up startled, confused, and tense. He rolled with the small force of Reaper's kick and tackled the other man in one motion. The murderous intent in his slate gray-blue eyes faded to full confusion when he realized what he'd done. "Out of...caverns' coming...what?" He replied, sitting on Reaper's chest and staring at him.

Reaper's robotic eyes turned red. He pushed Gorash off and got up. He then proceeded to pick him up by the neck with ease, though Gorash was a bigger guy. Then his eyes turned their regular blue and he released Gorash. "I'm sorry my reaction protocol kicked in without me wanting it to. Perhaps my brain was rattled and something came lose. Oh well, come on let's go. The base is collapsing. Fenrir set off our black powder." Reaper walked away from the column of smoke rising from the hole in the hill top.
"Yes it is. Demios control's the largest of the six dragon empires. Besides the silver there's black, blue, green, red, and bronze. The Bronze Empire, being the second largest, is in an alliance with Demios. The other four are against both Bronze and Silver Empires. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the other empires show up at this fiasco as well." Jake fiddled with his left ear a little. "Just think Rore. How many people can say they're friends with the most powerful leader in the world?"
Silvia caught up with Elistral. "Perhaps that is for the best. If you had grown up knowing that you were the daughter of a god, how do you think you would have turned out? Your father made you forget about him not only to keep the memories of my death from your mind but to also give you a clean slate. Give you the chance to grow up like anyone else would. A chance to be normal. He would say, 'When a king or queen grows up being royalty, they tend to expect to be given what they desire because they believe it is theirs to have. But a king or queen who grow up as everyone else becomes more aware of what they need and how they can get it. It allows them the chance to know how to work for what they want instead of expecting it like a small child.' He loved you very much, he still does. So much that he gave you up so that you would become some one you could be proud of, not what you would believe you were expected to become." Silvia kept with Elistral as they went through the town.

Elistral watched the townsfolk wander around, whispering about what was happening. "I do not know if I would be who I am today if those things never happened." She fidgeted with the three rings on her fingers unconsciously. "But mother, I'm no king or queen. Just a bard." She gave a short laugh, turning and hugging Silvia. "Sorry, a lot of things have been on my mind lately. Before this whole Reaper business."
Rore felt a headache coming on and rubbed a temple. "Well Jake, there's a good couple people who could say that." He answered honestly, then ruffled the boy's hair playfully.
A mile or two away from the main entrance of the Ravager base, another hatch opened up. About 20 to 30 Ravager's clambered out. They were the whole company that had been sent to join the Ravagers two months ago by their master. Fenrir climbed out last, kicking the trapdoor shut quickly. Then he looked around at the group, all fairly tall live elves, golden haired and red eyed. "That's the end of that." Fenrir said, indicating the base with a hand. "To Salim then." One of the former Ravagers approached him.'Explain that, Vlad. The Gezrudo have not received orders yet, we're reluctant to act else wise.' "Trust me, I talked with 'em recently." He showed an emblem to the woman speaking, and she nodded dutifully. "Head in the direction of Salim. Should take a day if you travel fast. I'll join up with you when you're in sight of the place." The woman nodded and spoke in another tongue to the others to which they replied and all set out running away from the destroyed base.
"Alright..." Gorash nodded, rubbing the back of his neck, the soreness quickly going away from it. He went over to his armor and weapons near the smoke, picking them up and taking them away from the immediate area. He figured that Reaper's reaction protocol was the exact same thing as his own instincts, like how he'd tackled him after waking up. Gorash sneezed loudly, nose tingling from the sulfuric smell in the air.

Silvia smiled and hugged her daughter back. "Perhaps not but it doesn't change the fact that you are a leader to the people here. But I understand. I'm sure hearing your father was a god can be hard to understand and deal with." Silvia released her and turned towards Rore and Jake. "Now shall we go see whats going on? I'm very confused about why the dragons are here." Silvia started in Jake and Rore's direction.
"Well how many know him on a first name basis and not emporer or 'your highness'?" Jake was thinking that he had never thought he'd be close to such a powerful man in his mortal life time...well that was until he had met Strider.
Reaper looked back as Gorash passed to see the tunnels finally collapse. Now was the time to assault Salim. With no base of operations and no black powder. It wouldn't be a battle, it would have to be war. He had been asked once why he needed so many men to take Salim, well on more than one occasion, and every time he would reply with one word...Strider. Kill Strider and Salim, the continent, and the world would fall. "Come on Gorash. Gather up the troops. We move on Salim now. It's a day and a half march there with all our troops. We should arrive there near night fall. When we do arrive...All hell breaks lose." Reaper had a very serious face on. A face that would have made any man's blood run cold. Reaper was scary when he was serious.

Perhaps for the upcoming battles?, Elistral asked herself silently, deciding not to bother Silvia with her thoughts. Atleast she couldn't read minds. She ended up just following the other woman towards Jake and Rore.
"...A good couple." Rore answered bluntly again, thinking he proved his point. There were a decent amount of people who called Demios by his name and not by a royal title. And being from a kingdom like that, the ex-knight knew how significant it really was.
"Yeah, sorry about setting the place up like that buddy..." Fenrir said guiltily, scratching the back of his head when he popped up not too far from Reaper. He stayed clear of the heavy clouds, pinching his nose so that the burning smell wouldn't affect him nearly as much as it would. "There's still some down there that's still good, y'know."
"Of course, Rea--Rea--" Gorash sneezed again, louder and more explosive than before. His eyes began to water and he sniffled a bit, ducking his head as he walked a few feet away to put on his armor again. His weapon "thunked" into the fertile ground as he dropped them unceremoniously and undid the straps of his chest piece. He picked them back up after he tightened the clasps and hooked his helmet on his belt.

"Fine you've proved your point." Jake saw Elistral and Silvia approach them. "Hey nice to see you two awake. What's up?"
"Just wondering what the dragons are here for?" Silvia looked as more dragons marched by.
With no hesitation Reaper's arm flashed to his gun and fired at Fenrir. Reaper knew it wouldn't kill him but it would at least show his frustration towards him. "Oh? And how do you expect me to get it!? The cave collapsed because of you! Do you expect me to sift through the rubble for half a day trying to get to barely enough gunpowder for a single bomb?! Unless you feel like teleporting down there I'd suggest to shut your mouth you pest!" Reaper sat down and wiped his hair out of his face. "F**k! Ya fool!" Reaper's Irish accent was clearly heard now from anger. "Now all I got to assault Salim is soldiers. Strider'll rip us ta shreds fer sure."
