I love the one with the heart smile very pretty.
So..Did you get any pics of the carnage on the ice Vas? just wondering...
I kind of know what you mean about fall having a feeling.. To me, it's never quite Fall or winter to me without the cold, and the smell of smoke hanging in the air in the mornings from woodstoves and fires going through the night. We don't get that down here in Tucson too much.. that's one thing I truly miss about the mountains. If I don't make it back up to see my parents and get that feeling.. well it just isn't autumn yet.
Ok so today is the last day for the Photoshop contest, and I have 2 entries.. and I still can not decide between the two at all.

No I didn't even think to bring my camera to the event but then again taking pictures I felt would have been in poor taste but at the same time I wish I had.

My first project for ceramics seems to be well on it's way to drying...albeit rather slowly. No major cracks yet so yay! I started on my new project too there was something I really wanted to do but the professor thought it would take to long to make so I'm kind of sad. So I'll try to make a Photoshop version of my original intention but that won't be until much later.
My pin is finished for Jewelery but it's not so great. Soldering is really hard! My collage is pretty crummy too, ha! I definitely won't be make metalsmithing of any sort a career.
I'll still show you though when I get them back here. Which gives me an idea of perhaps a gallery for what we feel is our worst projects for whatever the reason, like maybe you didn't like the social reasons for making it or some design flaw. Just a thought.

Yeah been having photobucket issues.. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand my internet has been down since we have been completely tearing apart the third bedroom.. repainting, ripped out the carpet, yanked out the moldings and cut and laid tile.. then grouted.. it's ALMOST finished. I am sooooo far behind internet wise.. I got a bunch of halloween ideas and no damn time to get them organized. ARG! I have pics from the remodel, and from the Tucson Reptile Expo, including a very pretty Albino Western Diamondback rattler that I want to share with you all. Sorry this is taking so long!

Well, you should be! Nah, man. Not really. Seems like you're super busy and all. We (I) understand. Sorry for being SO lazy, guys, but here is my latest... I can't believe the colors! Is that amazing or what?? Makes the plant seem all tropical. biggrin http://akela9.deviantart.com/art/Polk-Berry-138510662

Polk Sallet. It's a weed. Easy to grow. It's "poisonous" by some accounts, but we eat the leaves (greens) every spring and do the stalks up in flour (in spring) and fry them up like you would do okra. It's very tasty. And it hasn't killed me in 28+ years. I think it has hella properties to it, too. It's been a staple in remote areas for many moons. Some folk contribute it to their longevity. I only eat it once or twice a year, though. mrgreen
The plant is beautiful. In summer it's green and leafy but the stalk is bright pink/red. Very exotic, tropical looking. In fall it turns like you see it in the pic and has big beautiful purple berries. The birds love 'em. When I was a kid, I used to take the berries and smear then all over myself like Indian War Paint. I've always wondered if you couldn't make a paint out of them, it's such a great color, but I don't know how to do stuff like that.

I'm currently learning (?) how to create pastel sketches in Photoshop via a tutorial in After Capture.
I love, love, LOVE how this turned out. This is my 3rd attempt at this, so far, and definitely the best... If you think it needs tweaking, feel free to let me know.
