I would say I'm pro choice - if it's a forced birth i.e result of rape, then I would say if termination would be in the mothers interests then it should remain legal.
For many other situations I would disagree.
I say this as a father-to-be.

The decision is reeally up to the parents.
If they say that they do want an abortion, it's because they aren't ready, they didn't intend to have a baby, or they don't want the baby to live their life as a kid in an orpahnage.
If they don't want an abortion, it'll be because of moral values, they want to take care of a baby, or because they want to have at least some branch extending from their side of the family tree.
Personally, I'd leave it up to the parents since I'm not them... yet.

I am against for the most part. Yes, a lot of abortions are teen girls. No, they did not ask to get pregnant. But the baby did not ask to be a part of this world either. They should have kept their legs shut if they didn't want a baby. An abortion is the exception when danger occurs. I personally think it should be illegal. neutral stressed

Hmm? What if the most close-legged girl in the world got raped, and she can't rid herself of that child because of abortion being illegal?

In my opinion, (like i said before) if she was raped its even worse, like add more problems to the pile, go to therapy because you were raped AND because you killed a baby.
Killing the baby wont kill your problems.

Rockula In my opinion, (like i said before) if she was raped its even worse, like add more problems to the pile, go to therapy because you were raped AND because you killed a baby. Killing the baby wont kill your problems. buuut whatever, thats what i think, im out blaugh I think I'd rather go to therapy for killing a hardly-developed fetus than offering a born child a really, really terrible life.

Brilliant Insanity I find it terribly tragic to end a life, but a lot of these abortions are from teen mothers. They most likely didn't ask for this. They have their whole lives ahead of them, and having a baby would end that. So yes, I think it should be legal. I second that. *nods* I think its wrong to end a life but before the baby's born its still apart of the mothers body. I believe she should have the right.

People keep bringing up adoption as an alternative to abortions, but I doubt those people know what it's like to live in an adoption agency for any extended period of time. It isn't fun. I know plenty of people who've spent most of their young lives moving from agency to agency. The conditions aren't always pretty, and runaways are common. If you actually get adopted, there's no guarantee your life will be any better, either. It may even be worse. Yes, I know the agency is supposed to do a thorough background check on every potential adopter, but they aren't always as "thorough" as they should be. The kid might be given to some loveless family who only wants to adopt so they can get the government aid. Fact is, lots of kids who live like that wish they were dead, and more than a few go through with that wish.

wut kityz said if 10% is peopel who actually shouldnt have kids then only them should..i meaqn i understand for teen mothers and they should count to...but having a kid is a gift and shouldnt be killed before it can bloom..but there is always the chance tht their life sucks..soooo i say for it cause it saves pain for a harmless kid
