What are you doing with your winter break?

Well, most kids start living away from their parents so they have to do that kind of stuff themselves. Still being in high school and living with my parents, I don't.

Everyone I know still lives with their parents and goes to college :U~

In fact, it's the people living alone that aren't going to college because they don't have the money for it 3nodding

Hmmm, maybe it's an American thing. I donno, maybe it's just where I live. A lot of people go in-state, but a lot of people also go out of state (in another state I don't know if that was obvious or not for people who don't live in the US >.<) and can't live at home. The people who stay in-state are usually too far away for a reasonable drive. There aren't any really good colleges within driving distance of my area. There is one college, but it's small and doesn't really specialize in anything. The people who go there usually live at home, but besides that most people live in dorms or apartments. (not to mention, most the people who go there don’t have a very good GPA or something like that)

There's a good chance I'll have to go out-of-state because the only major saxophone program in my state isn't the style I want to learn (don't ask, you seriously don't want me to explain, it's too hard to get unless you know the history of the saxophone @.@).

yer see, in England what we call college is what we go to for 2 years after we have left school at the age of 16, ad we study 3-4 different subjects of our own choice. After college we then go to university, which is the same as what you guys call college. At university we stidy for 3-4 years on one or maybe 2 subjects of our choice. people don't move out to go to college, but people move out to go to university. although I'm only going local so I'm not moving out xp

hehe. but you have 3 sets of schools to go to right? we just have 2 basically. We also get to finish school earlier and choose what we want to learn rather than having to do maths and science etc. xd I prefer here xp

I like the way we do it, but then again it's how I'm used to things being done and I don't know very much about your system so... *shrugs* I can't really judge.
