Caine hopped down from the bar top and sat next to Merena, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and hugging her slighlty.

"Hun...if they try anything, I'll protect you. If they say anything, screw them. As long....as you're happy...."

He smiled at her, looking anything but evil. He actually looked....sweet.

::The slayer looks down at Jade with a half-hearted smile, nodding deeply for a moment before unbuckling the tunic flap and pulling out a small green card. It's just smaller than a credit card. Holding it at eye level, he begins tapping small paper-thin keys on one side, which light up. He types in a number, then some sort of passcode. It changes from green to blue, and he turns the card over, and hands it to Jade. It has a strange symbol on it, including a sideways red square, inbetween mirrored symbols that vaguely resemble the letter Z. The characters '10K' are inscribed in dark purple.::

That should be good for about ten thousand units of Tonepian currency at a bank or exchange kiosk. It should be good everywhere, but some places in other countries may ask for local currency. It works like a credit chip, if that is what your world uses now.

::Without another word or breath, Angel salutes Jade with his right hand before turning and jumping onto his vehicle, his feet on the pedals, and his hands up and tapping onto the reawakening screen. It gives him a comfirmation tone, and he arches his back forward, tilting the toes of his heavy boots down. The engine hums again as he bolts off into the distance, blowing away a few stray blades of grass as he heads back along the road that Jade was originally travelling.::
