Get some punch, a karaoke machine, some cake... I'd ask your Kage if there are any more specifics for it, but the primary thing is to just do it.

Can anyone simplify the crafting methods for me....because...I mean....look at it!!! Seriously though, I want a smith character and its overwhelming to even look at.

Quick run-down of the different types:
Whitesmithing: Working with soft metals (tin, gold, silver, etc.) to produce things like silverware.
Blacksmithing: Iron and steel. Nails, tools, etc.
Woodworking: Carpentry, whittling...
Tailoring: Anything to do with fabric, paper, leather, etc.
Glass-blowing: Good for all types of glass. You can make lenses, cups, tools, marbles...
Rare Materials: Lets you work with the weirder materials. A must if you're crafting something that requires a very specific abnormal material, like chitin or what have you. (Pre-reqs.: Black, White.)
Weapon- and Armor-smithing: As the name implies. Both require Black- and Whitesmithing. Making weapons and armor out of stuff other than standard metals probably requires one of the other smithing types.
Jeweler: Also requires Black- and Whitesmithing. You make jewelery, work with gems, and do high-precision work with stones and precious metals.
Infusion Artificer: You make variable marbles, which are basically marbles that give off certain effects when you feed them Chakra. Requires wood, glass, and tailor. Of special note here is that you can work a marble into other items during crafting to give them its effect, which can be done for every separate thing that needs to be made for the crafting, though it gets expensive.
Gear-smithing: You want to make clocks, trains, or anything else that uses gears? Here you go. Requires black, white, and any other smithing type you want.
Pharmaceutical Chemist: Chemicals and drugs/poisons. Requires glassblowing and botany. I'm not going to ask questions.

If you're smithing for money, you can do the ranked missions listed in this post. If you're smithing for fun, personal satisfaction, or whatever, follow the "Special Rank" guide after those missions. For the most part those are broken down by size. When you're making the thing, just type out what it would take to do so (or make it up or have your character monologue or whatever if you don't know/care).

Does that help at all?

I caught the basics of it all really I think. Where my confusion is I suppose is this.

If I am a smith, and I specialize in....Glass Blowing lets say. Am I only sufficient in glass blowing or is the smithing skill all encompassing of whitesmithing, blacksmithing, woodworking, tailoring and glass blowing?

Is there a thread that gives a breakdown of what specific tools are needed to make specific items. Like, a formula page. Ect. Like I get the idea of it all, I just need the meat and potatoes part of it.

So you have glassblowing, which lets you create things out of glass. If you want those other types, you have to work them up like you did with the glassblowing. You can have up to four different smithing types, I believe, excluding any extras gained from events or PA's.

Hiya! okay so I'm not new to the guild. But life lately has been very, vey hard on me. I'm recently just getting back into gaia and wishing to start fresh. (Quit most of my guilds other than this one) My other character: Kameko has Lava Release. Would it be possibly for me to scrap her and make a new character with the same traits and such (down to every detail bloodline and combat wise)

How would I go about doing that? Sorry haha it's just been so long since I've done this.

I'd be ok with doing this. You just want a hard reset of the character to graduation right?

Yes please! Everything else about them will be the same, I'll just make a new name and I recently got some art done.

ok, here's what I'll have you do. Reset the profile to its base and pay it in the approvals area. I'll give it a quick look and make sure everuthing is above board. If you're good there, you'll be right back to it. Is this sufficient?

That arrangement sounds fine to me, so long as Huntress Kitteh's good for it. Thanks for handling this, Rinaku!

So during the chuunin exams I gained something called "Intermediate Training: Combat" availability. Now I know that whatever this is should now be available to me, but I don't know what it is, where to find it, or how it applies. I thought it had something to do with formless styles but I don't see anything about it there.

If I remember correctly. It's a training mission that's found in this thread: and post.
As a reward, "Intermediate Training: Combat" means you're receiving an additional mission:

❥ Intermediate Training: Combat
Chakra and Stamina Pool [+#]
Chuunin Minimum
Alrighty! You've still got it in you! That training wasn't a waste after all! Hahaha! Now, it's time to prove yourself once more. Find yourself a suitable opponent (same rank or one above) and have at it!
• This Training Can Be Repeated Twice. Your reward makes this amount increase by 1 for a total of three times!
• If you win your match, your chakra and stamina pool is increased by [30].
• If you lose your match (and live), your chakra and stamina pool is increased by [15].

I only have this answer because I asked the same thing to Ergo.
