Hi Magic! I couldn't help notice that there are some things in the bio that are from Esh's RP in Djemma. Although Rosentale and the Athenaeum are affiliates and Esh is the captain in the Athenaeum and the vice captain in Rosentale, they are still separate RPs so I just wanted to check if you asked Esh if you could take some of her worldbuilding from Djemma to bring it into Rosentale? And I know the rules say that someone is to wait two weeks before posting a new character, but the point of that rule is so that their characters can be integrated and settled into the RP before going off to try to settle in a new character. I was just concerned about Mr. Dillinger since you haven't been able to post for him very much. So I think maybe you should wait a little bit more before posting Saira and you should probably ask Esh if you could use her worldbuilding from Djemma before the time comes. ^^ Thanks!

xX Magic and Mystery Xx You know, That does make sense sweatdrop . I haven't been posting as Dillinger because there really hasn't been much of a call for him, and he doesn't really go out of his way to start interactions, but I certainly can see your point. Because a lot of us are busy until the nighttime, it's hard to tell if a teacher will show up or not and if we'll be needing a substitute. But you could always ask a person with a teacher character if you could send him as an assistant for a teacher at least? If you want, he could be Vivian's assistant for her classes, but she only has one class and that's 5th period. It's up to you how you're going to integrate him into the roleplay, and you don't have to take my advice. XD It's a bit tricky to get a teacher settled in when they function as substitutes or a manager of a place, but I'm sure you can figure something out. =D

Appearance description: Tallish, Luke stands to be 6 foot 4, he has a lean, muscular body. Pale. Not being outside for 16 years takes its tolls.
Personality:
- Very Outgoing: Luke is known to be very out-going, he will socialize with every kind of person, and he does not judge a book by its cover, ever. He loves everyone.
- Loud: Luke is quite loud, he usually wont disrupt a class with his talking, but he will nearly always be talking otherwise.
- Laid-back: Not much will spark a worry to this guy, he will usually shrug it off and get on with whatever he is doing at said time.
- Kind: Luke is quite kind
- Loving: You know when Luke is in love, he will try his best to be with that one person
Bio: Luke has no knowledge of his birth parents, he was found by a group of researchers under water, and he was still alive, the researchers found this interesting, so they took him back to the lab and did tests on him, for the whole time he was there. The researchers taught him to read, talk and write.
Luke grew up in the research centre, he had no contact with the outside world, and didn't have much people contact. Luke had 2 head researchers that acted as his mother and father, they were his mother and father figures.
One night, Luke managed to make a miraculous escape from the lab, even when it was armed with security guards 24/7, and he was always under the supervision of the researchers. He somehow managed to escape through a mystery port that was unknown by the researchers and the security guards. For the brief moment that the researchers and the security guards looked away, Luke managed to escape. He managed to make his way to Rosentale without having the people from the lab finding him again.
Skills and Abilities:
Breathing under water: Luke is able to breathe whilst he is under water

Gullible: If you tell him something, he will believe it, so be careful what you say to him
Lazy: As much as Luke may want something, if he has to do it himself, he will most likely not do it

His skin was nearly white as paper. Not a vampire, sun deprived. Luke took his hands out of his pockets and stretched out his arms.
Luke turned the corner of the hallway and headed off to somewhere else.

Hair: Light-ish dirty blonde, straight, falls to the small of her back
Clothing: Casual, unless dressy attire is absolutely required. Or unless there is a uniform here... Is there a uniform here?
Personality:
-Terra doesn't get angry that easily. She has a type of self-confidence that isn't showy in any way - she just does not feel the need for other people's approval. As such, she doesn't get angry over insults and such things. Not to say she never gets angry - that would be ridiculous. Like any other person, if you mess with her too much, she'll bust your face.
-Terra is not precisely a solitary person, but she doesn't rely on other people or friends to be happy. She likes hanging out with people, but her inability to empathize with trivial problems made her less than a favorite with many girls back home.
-She is also somewhat fascinated with magic. Although not in an over-the-top "OMG LOOK SPELLLSSSS!!1!!!111!!!" kind of way, Terra thinks its pretty, excuse my slang, legit. Magic and transformations, half-creatures, etc. The whole mythology thing she missed out on as a human interests her.
-I absolutely know I'm missing something important here. If there's a hole in my character please let me know...
Bio: Terra grew up in an upper-middle class family, going to public school for all of her life before Rosentale. She often ditched classes she didn't like, such as History and Math, but found English enjoyable, due to a very adept, humorous, and accepting teacher she had in 6th grade. Terra was frequently in trouble, not for crimes, really, but mostly because she didn't watch her mouth, or because she got caught with earbuds in during class. She backtalked other students, teachers, as well as her parents, and she didn't really care. Her parents eventually got sick of her, and rounded up the money to send her to Rosentale, hoping they wouldn't have to deal with her for a very long time, and that maybe she would come home reformed - not that Terra thought she needed any reforming
Skills and Abilities:
- Self-confident - explained above, in the personality section
- Although Terra doesn't have any particular weapons or powers or anything, she is decent at hand-to-hand combat. She fights dirty, because she fights to win, but she doesn't seek out fighting in any way. It just tends to happen sometimes.
- The thing is, I made this character for the flaws. Because I think it would be fun. The self-confidence just fit in with the flaws, and I put the fighting thing in just in case, because it seemed like the type of useful thing she would bother to learn. And because almost everyone is going to have powers and she will need something, I imagine. I can add another skill though, if you need me to.
Character Flaws:
- Blunt - tends to say what she's thinking, even when it is entirely inappropriate. Sometimes its because she simply doesn't care, but its also often because she doesn't realize it's inappropriate until afterwards- or never.
- Lazy - simply does not like to do things she doesn't want to do. If it's interesting, Terra might do it, but if its a history class... don't expect her to show up on test days.
- Skeptic - completely the opposite of gullible. If she doesn't want to, she won't believe you, even if you shove the facts in her face. Many people may hate debating anything with her, because she doesn't do it right.
- Don't know the word for this one - Terra doesn't often catch onto subtle emotions, which ties in a lot with her bluntness. Or, almost as often, not-so-subtle emotions. Unless a girl is bawling alone in a hallway, Terra probably won't realize that she's sad and needs comforting. She wouldn't really catch on very quick to relationship interests either, should any arise.

- English class, although she's not really sure why. It's not like she likes writing papers or anything she just... likes the class, the atmosphere of it.

RP Example:
Terra yawned as she sat at the desk in her room, staring at the paper. Why am I doing this again? she asked herself miserably, and couldn't supply herself with an answer. She began to write, checking the textbook laying next to her for facts, and, about four sentences later, slammed her head against the table. "Ughhhh," she moaned, and then stood up. Walking over to her bed, she reached under, pulling out her small stash of snacks. Terra grabbed a bag of chips and a soda, and glanced over to the clock. Midnight? You gotta be kidding me. As she walked back to her desk, Terra opened the soda, smiling a little at this hiss it made. When she sat down, however, the full can sloshed over onto her paper, leaving a purple spot about an inch and a half in diameter. "What!" she exclaimed, rather loudly, her forehead creasing. A thump hit the wall from the other room, and Terra shouted back at them, "Cut out the racket, some people are trying to work here!" not realizing that the action had been in response to her first shout.
Turning back to her paper, Terra glared at the stain. She welled up a store of saliva in her mouth, and then spit it onto the purple nuisance. However, spreading the makeshift cleaning supply only made the paper damp, rather than removing the offending soda. With a sigh and a shrug, Terra picked up her pen and her soda, and continued to work. A stain on her paper clearly wasn't worth rewriting her name and four sentences. After half a page of writing, she smiled down at her paper, satisfied. "Nothing wrong with an innocent soda stain, after all. Gives the paper character," she said aloud, followed by an answering thump on the wall. "I don't see how throwing pillows and things at the wall is doing you any good, but people are trying to sleep at this hour!" she yelled at the offender, adding in a somewhat lower voice, "Show some respect! Geez..." With another yawn, Terra pulled herself into bed, not bothering to change her clothes. I can always brush my teeth in the morning, she thought as she closed her eyes and fell promptly asleep.

I'm sorry for making you wait a long time. I didn't realize you posted in here. o_o I just want to voice a few concerns. The character limit is technically 5 unless you are really active. You might want to think about your schedule and if you can manage 4 characters. You don't have to send them all out at once, but you need to post for all of them evenly. So I don't mind taking a look at him as long as you really want him, but you can post for him as well as your other 3 characters. Due to time differences, you usually come at around a later time. It's not your fault or anything, but usually we are winding down around that time. Although, since it's summer and people are dealing with jobs or college, it's kind of hard to tell and Rosentale has been kind of quiet of late. So if you really want to go ahead with this character, can you tell me your reason for wanting a 4th character and then I'll go and take a look. =D EDIT: Sorry! Appearance description: 146lbs. 6'0". He's got many scars on his back and a deep scar on his right abdomine. when he doesnt feed for a long time he sometimes gets a "sunken" look.
Personality:"Depends on my mood really. Most of the time in my thoughts i might seem like doom and gloom but when im with my mates i do tend to act up a bit.*rubs back of head*"
"I Usually talk my way out of things, or into things. I sometimes liven the mood and in all honestly im a bit of a prankster. I wanna say im a pretty good listener but i know thats a fat lie *laughs*" He is a ladies man, "prince charming" of sorts and can not stand a weeping woman.
Bio: As a child Storm grew up on a plantation owned by his father. His father was a pretty harsh man. Storm's fondest memories are when his mother sat in her rocker humming a soft tune. He also had many brothers and sisters and cared for them dearly. A few weeks before Storm was changed forever a family friend came to visit late at night... Im sure you can put together the rest. After Storm was a vampire he tried coming back to his home only to find that he couldnt control himself.
His deepest Regret was killing his family in a blood lust. A few of his siblings survived and he still checks up on them occasionally. After a few years of sulking Storm found his way to a large city, and more drastically the ocean. He fell in love with it more passionately he thinks than he could ever fall in love with a woman.
He's sailed all the oceans and has visited many countries. One night after slipping up and killing two shipmates his captain sat him down and told him of This academy.
Skills and Abilities: speed and strength when blood is ingested "you know, the whole vampire thing". Also is decent with Katar/dagers.

Appearance description: Long scar on the side of her neck. Smaller Scar on her right cheek just bellow her eye. Height of 5'4" Weighing 144 Lbs. The rest is just like the picture.
Personality: Vianca has a deep appreciation for art and adventure. She loves new experiences and comes up with unusual ideas to entertain herself and others.She is seen as very careless getting into trouble simply because she doesn't think things through and has put herself into danger many times doing so.Vianca is curious to the point of being annoying and questions everything around her even if she doesn't need to or it isn't her place to. She can be friendly but most times won't associate with humans usually walking away or getting nervous when one attempts to speak with her.
Bio: While on the playground one day many years ago Vianca wished to show off to her friends exactly what it was that she could do. To the horror of her fellow students she changed into a tiny blue dragon the size of a grown man's forearm with small wings. She began to fly around the playground before losing control of her shape turning back into a little girl mid flight falling onto the hard playground equipment beneath her. Vianca now unconscious was rushed to the hospital where she was stitched up. When she awoke she found her mother looking over her with concern and fear in her eyes. She was then told about her father a dragon who had met her mother many years before while in a human form. He had courted and fallen in love with her marrying for however he was found by others of his kind and taken back to their land for judgment having married a human he had broken their law. After Vianca was allowed to leave the hospital she still had two scars one under her right cheek slightly jagged and another long ugly pink scar on her neck. Taking her home Vianca's mother decided to home school her from then on until Vianca came of age to attend a school else where. She never learned how to properly control her powers so they grew weak this saddened her mother who hated to see her daughter losing what she thought made her unique. It was then that her mother found out about Rosentale Academy even though she would miss Vianca she sent her on her way hoping that Vianca would learn more about her heritage and gifts before she lost them.
Skills and Abilities: Shape-Shifting Into A Small Blue Dragon (The Only Powers/Gifts This Form Has Is Flight It Can't Breath Fire Or Any Of That If She Loses Concentration She Changes Back), Can Create A Small Blue Ball Of Flame In The Palm Of Her Hand That She Can Throw Only A Few Feet.

RP Example: "OOOF!" That was the third tree she had run into since she started her flight to the Academy. Rubbing a paw against her head she winced feeling a small bump forming. That will be a bruise in the morning. Sighing Vianca tried to keep up her concentration she couldn't afford to crash again or she would never make it to the school. Just as she was passing over a large stand of tree's she saw a quick movement darting beneath her most likely a rabbit. Distracted though she lost her concentration and began shifting back plummeting towards the ground and tree's beneath her. As she hit the tree's she could feel the branches catching her while leaving welts and cuts along her skin. Finally hitting the ground she had the wind knocked out of her blacking out for a few moments. When she came to she saw that the sun was beginning to set and got to her feet as quickly as she could glancing around for a proper direction. "Maybe I should have thought about letting mom drive me a little bit more." Looking down at her clothing she knew she would be in trouble if her mother ever saw this dress again now full of rips and tears but maybe if she was lucky there would be a generous seamstress at this new Academy. "Of course I have to actually get there first. Even though I wish I didn't have to do all this work to get to a school of all places." Huffing she closed her eyes squeezing them tight and began to focus once again shifting back into her tiny dragon form. Taking to the sky she hovered for a moment then found a focal point further ahead trying to keep her focus this time she flew as fast as her tiny wing beats could carry her starting to grow very weary her eyes started to droop just as she saw the Academy looming in the distance. As she approached her concentration was nearly broken when she began to doze off mid-flap. Snorting herself awake she opened her eyes and barely made it onto the school grounds when her small dragon body now sore and exhausted began sloping toward the ground shifting into her human form as she hit the earth her cuts and bruises from falling before covered in dirt and leaves.
Extra Information: She gets nervous when people look at her scars. When she was younger after her incident on the play ground children were cruel to her when they saw her out in public causing her to start disliking humans other than her mother.

I'm sorry for making you wait a long time for this! D8 If I ever make you wait for a long time, you're free to give me a prod when you need to. I meant to get to talking to you about your character but I kept getting distracted by the event. There are a few questions that I have about Luke before I can go ahead and accept him. He's never been outside before but apparently his figure is lean and muscular. Did he have some way to exercise in the laboratory? What kind of testing did the researchers do with him? Did they simply want to learn about Luke's species and his powers? I'm also having a hard time connecting Luke's personality with his past. How did he come to be how he is with his bio? Were the researchers that did tests on him really nice to him and kind? How much does he know about the outside world? Also, I found a contradiction with some of his flaws which might make it hard to RP him. He's supposed to be laid-back, but you also have him restless and impatient. I can't really imagine how you would RP this. If you know a way, maybe you could give me an example? Well, I think that's it. Just quote me and I can take a look at him again. ^^

Hello. Thanks for submitting your character. Unfortunately, I can't approve her as is. I'm not sure if you're aware but your character is a very blatant Mary Sue. She is an overpowered, beautiful demi-goddess noble who valiantly shirks her duties and has a slew of mostly irrelevant flaws and happens to be the daughter of the most beautiful, coveted, amazing Immortal, ever. You also tend to use really flowery purple prose in your posts, something else that points to an issue with Mary Sueism. She would need a major overhaul before we could accept her into this guild. First of all, you'll need to demote her from demi-goddess status. Even if you note that she's half immortal, we'd prefer no references to her being a demi-goddess at all. In the past, many people have not played their demi-god characters properly and we've decided not to accept any more people with that title. It's simply been abused far too often. Second, you will need to trim her skill set....a lot. Really, she shouldn't have more than three skills. Her skill set is pretty large and some of these skills are fairly significant as well so it needs a major trim. She is brilliant at potions she is good with swords She can heal minor wounds She can cause minor plant growth She can cause moonlight to shine through her skin brightly enough to temporarily blind people She can use illusions She can become a ghost during full moons The other issue is her character flaws. Nearly all her flaws are somewhat irrelevant to this RP and guild. We prefer characters to have flaws that will actually show up in the RP. At the same time, having your character constantly angsting over things that none of the other characters are going to care about, is just silly. So here are my issues with her "flaws." -Often far too bossy for her own good. Okay, this can count as a flaw but I have a problem with modifiers like "often" or "sometimes" simply because many people use them as an excuse to not actually ever have this flaw show up with the character. -Weaker magic than most of her family. Okay, this doesn't count as a flaw at all, in any way, shape or form. It's a power limitation at best. But it doesn't even say 'she has only very weak magic.' It's modified by just being weaker than her family. It's...just really not a flaw. -Insecure about her magic/snaps at people who mention it. The issue is, no one is going to notice her magic is weaker than her family. No one in the RP knows her family. And no one is really going to care--lots of characters don't have magic at all. So she is going to spend time angsting over her magic for no reason, but since no one will ever mention it, it's kind of a completely irrelevant "flaw" for her to have. -Highly secretive/pushes people away. This is her only real flaw. -Bad liar. Not being able to lie is not a flaw. -Tries to lie about becoming a spectre during the full moon. Okay, the issue, again, is that none of the other characters are going to care. This is just going to cause needless drama because we have two characters that are spectres all the time. So when people do find out (as I'm sure they, inevitably will), they're going to just kind of go "Eh...okay. *shrug*" We just have so many characters with crazy powers that no one is going to care about her powers. I mean, we have another character who sometimes glows as well. So, really, this kind of thing is really irrelevant. What I've seen several times in this guild is that someone puts in a character who is all self conscious about one of their abilities, then none of the other characters care or notice the power but the new character still constantly angsts about it or brings it up. And it's just limiting and repetitive. -Tries to lie about being more stuck up than she really is. Again, this is kind of not a flaw? It's two virtues (not being able to lie and not being stuck up) that are trying to masquerade as a flaw. It's very contradictory and kind of silly, really. Finally, her personality section actually doesn't describe her personality very well at all. I can't tell you anything about what her personality is like from that section other than that she has a vaguely described "wild side" that entails letting her hair loose and dancing in the grass. Which, doesn't seem particularly "wild" really. You mention that she has a ton of personality flaws (but don't describe any of them, anywhere aside from bossing people around) but is still brave and noble and self sacrificing enough to run into danger to save people. Before I can approve this character, you would need to tone down her Mary Sue traits of being an over powered demi-goddess, and give her some real flaws that serve to balance out the character's many virtues. I would strongly recommend that you read our Mary Sue Thread, our Character Flaws Thread, our entire RP Do's and Don'ts thread before making your edits. RP Username: Kiyoko no Mikazuki Name: Katherine Parker Species: Vampire Age: 18 Gender: Female Appearance description: Lots of tattoos under a crap-ton of clothing. Personality: She is quite most of the time. One would say that instead of having low self-esteem, she has low esteem in other people. Her words are incredibly witty, which more or less makes up for her condescending attitude. Bio: Katherine was never the conformist type. On her eighteenth birthday, she'd figured that she'd go to the local vampire bar. "It's just a bar theme," she thought. Little did she know... Vampires are more than just retards playing dress-up like she assumed. When she came home, two days later, her clothes covered in blood, she started realizing that she kept falling asleep during the daytime and she couldn't help but throw up her food. Her parents finally told her she had to move out of the house the following day. That night, she realized what had happened to her. In a fit of rage, she drained her parents and younger brother and burned the house down. Knowing that she'd probably get the death penalty, she ran back to the vampire bar and demanded refuge. They refused, telling her if the police showed up, the vampire's status of nonexistence would be compromised and that she was suppose to be dead. She came to the conclusion that she had no where for her to stay permanently. She has been on the run ever since, but the case has been cold since 1963. She stood there for one moment. Whether to cool off or to just lite a cigarette, she would have ripped off someone's head if interrupted. She figured that a good walk would clear her mind. She made her way through downtown when a group of Latina teens started snickering at her. One of them went up to her, pretending to ask for directions in a very thick accent. All Kat did was inhale her Marlboro and exhale it right in her face, making her cough hysterically, "Sorry Lupe, but I speak English."

Hello! So I've taken a look at your character and there are a few things I want to discuss with you first before I could approve her. Her biography is kind of confusing to me. Right now, I'm assuming that she was originally human, but she went to go to a vampire bar thinking that nothing would happen, but something did and she's a vampire. So her family turns her away and she rages on them. However, this is me assuming and most RPers kind of want to avoid assuming things in case they are wrong and I could be wrong. Also, in the world she lives in, I've also assumed that vampires are normal because there's a 'local vampire bar.' So would that mean that vampires are allowed to live among the people but the people are still prejudiced against them? I'm also a bit confused about a few things that you've listed in the skills. First of all, what exactly do you mean about her needing only 1/16th of the light that humans need to see? Does that mean she could see in the dark, or does that mean that she is very sensitive to the light? After all, I imagine that it would stink to have that other 15/16th in her way. You'll have to be more specific about that. 8D As for the cat-like reflexes and inhuman strength, you'll definitely have to be more in depth with it and add on some limits. For example, without limits, you could be implying that she could land on her feet if she jumped off a skyscraper or could be an Atlas and carry the world on her shoulders. The same goes for the fast healing. I'm sorry, but this guild doesn't allow those types of extreme skills because that would be too overpowered. As for her flaws, we're only counting short-tempered, jealous, and smart alec as her flaws. The first two seem to just be details to her character or probably weaknesses that have something to do with her race. Character flaws are traits on a character's personality that would impact them negatively when socializing with other people. That's usually what we're looking for in the flaws section. Also, she's allergic to the sun? I'm not sure how you're going to RP her in Rosentale since Rosentale doesn't have the resources for such a student. We do have a vampire that would turn into ashes when in contact with the sun. However, he doesn't worry about it that much since he went to the potions professor and he uses potions to make him immune to the sun. However, I don't think that's what you had in mind when you made your character. So can you explain to me what you had planned so she could be roleplayed normally?
