{FFFFFFFFFFF!!! Sorry, guys. D""X I am quite busy. Though I do login at least once a day, I have several threads to check up on as well as Guilds. Usually, I just click on the quick look thingie on the Guilds and if Wolf's Den isn't up, then I don't check it. Mistake on my part. X~X I admit, I haven't really read any of the posts beyond Miles and Todd running off. I read Bakher's, but none of the posts are really geared towards the story (that I'm interested in anyway), so if I mess up or I'm behind, I apologize. But really, I just don't want to read whatever romance is blossoming between the two crazies. X"D} {And Bakher, it actually doesn't take me a couple minutes to post. D"X I'd say about ten to really get my headgears turnin' to vomit up something reasonable. It's gotten pretty stagnant, so it makes it difficult for something good to spark my brain. Personally, I'd like some REASONABLY catastrophic thing to happen because with the Bears contained and Asiril missing, it's pretty tame. :/ The dragon has helped tense up the air, but that's about it.} {Meh.} Larka was thrilled to see Miles completely forget about her with the arrival of the new Vixen. She however, didn't like the attitude the vulpine gave between her fits of laughter. Though it was appropriate to call the Huntress a b***h, she was after a female canine, she felt that it wasn't for the accuracy.
The she-Wolf was about to teach the Foxgirl some manners when Kaishin got in the way of her pouncing and apologized. She appreciated it, but she could smell Bakher's anger mounting. She figured it was due to the Dragon, but she could have sworn he'd calmed down over that when he realized the Dragon wasn't there to hunt down the last of his kind. Then she realized that Kaishin hadn't offered peace to the Gryphon either. She did appreciate that the Alpha came to her, but the Gryphon was more offended than she could ever be.
She licked Kaishin back, beneath his chin, and nudged him in the direction of Bakher. "I'm not the only one you need to say sorry to. Go talk with Bakher. You need to know some things about him and his past."
Larka flopped to the ground with a heavy sigh and closed her eyes. The Bears were "caged", Asiril was still nowhere to be found, Miles seems to have appropriated a new obsession, and there was a Dragon. Her ears wilted and her tail became limp as the days events dropped on her. She was so tired. She just wanted to curl up in her hidden nook in the Den, perhaps bat at Bakher's feather, and nap. In the back of her mind, she wondered if the detached feather glowed as his feathers did now. She smiled to herself, that would be interesting. Like her own personal Moon or something like that.
When Marco, or the newly name Midnight, had first remarked snidely on her demeanor, Larka thought nothing of it. But now, the name he had called her shoved through the tired fog of her brain. She quickly jerked up her head and turned to Marco. "Snowflake," she exclaimed in a question. Her first reaction was to be offended to be compared to something so soft and delicate, but then the memories flooded. Midnight and Snowflake. Both cast from their previous packs only to be found by each other. His eyes should have first triggered her memories, but two different color eyes weren't that special to her, as she had the same "mutation". She leaped up and rushed over to him. "By the Moon! Why didn't you tell me it was you!?" She was ecstatic to have seen him again, but also hurt that he didn't say something sooner.
Her past was brutal, but small gifts like this were treasured. She'd met Marco before she met her Mate, so she had a lot to tell him as well, but first she wanted to know about his adventures. Her ears rolled forward in curiosity and her tail lifted in excitement. Her eyes were bright with attention, she hadn't seen him in so long!

Marco smiled at her tiredly. "Looks like life has been kinder to you than it has to me." He sighed. "I'm sorry my memories have been a blur lately. I wasn't even sure if you had remembered those old names." After they had parted ways Marco's luck had gone down hill. His life turned into an unending battle ground. Seeing her again, Marco felt completely at ease. His red and blue eyes looked over her body curiously. She had grown up a bit since he had seen her last, but she still seamed beautiful and delicate, just like a snowflake. "So, you settled down here I take it."
((... Okay, before anyone gives me crap. *cough*Angel*cough*. Marco ditched love and lust a long time ago. The only reason he's so fond of Larka is because she's the closest thing he's had to an actual friend. His previous pack was evil. xp ))

The young vixen's cheeks became a light shade of scarlet under the already orange-red and dark speckled fur. She felt a bit dizzy and her heart seemed to leap into her throat as he pulled her closer. Todd quickly broke the kiss, taking in slow breaths as she bit her lip, peeking up at Miles through her dark bangs. She noticed her paws had taken up residence against his chest. But the number one thing she noticed; she had forgotten to breath.
But what brought all that on? Why the kiss? The butterflies took their place under her own chest as she stared into his eyes. She decided not to dwell on it much and leaned forward, placing the side of her warm right cheek on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. She closed her eyes again, a small smile touching her lips. She had at least found someone who accepted her. Miles was fun, enthusiastic, and an all-around good guy.. She liked him.
Todd sighed, and snuggled up closer to Miles as best she could, feeling a bit cold again. She pulled in her legs and her brush curled up, wrapping around her toes to keep warm as the two shared their warmth in the cool day. The sun above hiding behind a cloud. Streams of light coming down and making the water below sparkle.

Miles rested his cheek on the top of her head, his tail flowed in the wind as a gentle breeze blew past. This was moment Miles would remember for the rest of his life, the first time he met one his own kind and fell in love with her knowing she had the same feelings for him. He took comfort in this thought, it made him feel happy; like if nothing else in the world mattered. And nothing else did. He wanted to say something to her, but he wasnt sure what to say; would it even matter? Of course not, his actions said everything; everything but one thing, "I love you..."
Miles felt warmth in his cheeks as his face turned red behind his blue fur and heart begin to race immediantly after he said this, he began to wonder if saying that was a mistake. Even though he was technically an anti social hermet, he still knew there was a big difference between like and love. But the truth was... He did love her...

Kaishin turned to see that Bakher was very upset. Kaishin didn't know of the bloodshed between Gryphons and Dragons, and if Bakher had mentioned it before, then it had slipped his mind. With all that had happened recently, he couldn't be expected to remember every little detail.
The wolf turned to Bakher and lowered his head. "I do apologise" he said. "I was careless of me to introduce a newcomer without informing you all first".
Kirisa looked at Kaishin apologising to the gryphon. "it pained her to see that she had caused so much trouble to the first being that did try to either kill her ooor run away screaming. "That will be enough Kai-kun, it seems that I've caused enough trouble for now". She stood up and turned towards the forest. "I see you again when things a calmer..." She smiled warmly and ran off into the woods.
Kaishin sighed as he watched Kirisa run off. "Well that was a total bust..." he muttered.

Larka saw the Dragon slink off out of the corner of her eye. Though the whole scenario unsettled the she-Wolf, she didn't think it was cause for the Dragon to go away. She hoped Kaishin would deal with it.
She turned her full attention back to Marco. She had to admit, life after her previous Pack was much better. She just wished Marco's life had also changed for the better, but his eyes and body language didn't express that. She bowed her head and looked sheepishly at her feet as she answered, "Yes, I have joined this Pack. I've settled for the most part; however, my Mate is not here with me. We had to part ways temporarily. But we will reunite at some point. I have the patience for it."
Marco was always larger than her, which wasn't difficult considering she was a very small Wolf; however, his legs weren't always red. She remembered them being crisp and white, a severe contrast to his black. But now they were the color of blood. She mentally shook her head sadly. He really hadn't had an easy life, even after leaving his Pack.
She wanted to apologize for all the hardships he'd experienced, but she knew that wouldn't help things or make him feel better, just as they wouldn't for her either. All she could do was see to it his life was better as long as she was around him. Or she could at least make it easier for him. No pity, just friendship.
The thought rose her spirits a bit and she lifted her tail to wag at him. She nodded her head up at the raptor that sat silently in the trees, no doubt scanning the immediate area. "I see you found another friend to travel with, eh? I'm surprised you haven't eaten him yet, considering the bad choices he makes," she joked.

Kaishin sighed again, it seemed that he wasn't able to do anything right today, he should've stayed in bed... I f kirisa hadn't dug it up of course. He bowed again to Bakher and ran after Kirisa, being as large as she was it wasn't to hard to find her. "Hey... where are you going?" he called out.
Kirisa turned her head, she had a look of annoyance but inside she was happy that he came after her. "It's nothing alright! I just figured that I'd caused enough trouble for one day".
Kaishin nipped her foot (which she didn't even feel) and looked up at her. "Nonsense. I shoudn't hve expected everyone to be happy to see a dragon, considering what's happened recently... plus I forgot about Bakher's problems with your winged cousins..."
Kirisa shook her head. "I actually saw them before I met you. I could have attacked the Gryphon there and then, but since he had done nothing to me, I didn't see the point". She clawed at the ground again and then suddenly stopped.
"Huh? What is it?" Kaishin asked. then he smelled it too, a scent from not too long ago. The scent of that tiger anthro from last night.
"You there, Tiger-girl!" Kaishin called out to the trees "I know you're there. Come on out!"

Reaper clicked his beak in amusement hearing Larka. Marco smirked and shook his head. "He may talk a little more than he should, but Reaper makes up for it with skill." He grinned at her, like he always had when one of his odd jokes formed in his head. "Have you ever hunted with an eye in the sky before? Its more effective than two on the ground." Reaper looked down at him in surprise, he had never heard Marco ever tell a joke or sound so relaxed before.

{Hehe, thanks for including her again. XD} Larka smirked and scoffed. "I'm sure sky-eyes are effective, but when those eyes have a beak on them like your bird does, I'd much rather rely on my own," she teased back.
This felt good. Like old times, but without the anxiety of always looking over her shoulder for in case the Pack decided that banishing her wasn't good enough. She stood and stretched and sniffed around. Kaishin had left, she assumed to follow the Dragon. She motioned her head in the direction of the Gryphon for Marco to follow her over there.
She padded over to Bakher and nudged his foreleg with her nose. He appeared extremely bored with himself, so she wanted to have him do something. "Care to help Marco and I survey the territory?" She turned to address Marco over her shoulder, "Unless you still need sleep?"

Nomaki bristled at the acknowledgment of someone. She sniffed herself and swore. In the search of cover and a place to bury the kill, she hadn't realized her powder to cover her scent had worn off. Today was certainly not her day.
She bowed her head and crouched in the foliage. She put a single black claw up to her lips to shush Vadi, who perched on her shoulder. She hoped if she was quite enough and still, whoever it was would simply lose interest and leave. If only she were lucky.
Her tail stiffened and her ears sat straight ahead and alert, listening for any sound and movement. Her eyes darted back and forth, looking for anything that might be a danger to her and her Dragon companion. She could feel the silver serpentine creature tremble on her shoulder and dash into her hair. This was not a good sign for her. Only other Dragons made Vadi do that. She sincerely hoped with all her heart that there wasn't a Dragon nearby and that that was what was calling her out of hiding.

Kirisa sniffed the air and growled slightly, whatever was in those bushes also had a dragon with them.
Kaishin noticed the fierce look in Kirisa's eyes and put a paw on her leg. "Calm down" he said softly, "we don't want to eat whomever that is... at least not yet". He pricked up hs ears and listened for any sounds. He was certain he could hear footsteps and that scent was definatly the one from last night. "It's alright Ms. Tiger. I am the wolf you met last night. I promise we won't hurt you".

Nomaki swore foully; could this day get any worse!? First, she's spotted while burying a kill; second, someone recognizes her! She reached into a pouch on her thigh and pulled out a flask. It wouldn't kill something very large, but it would at least paralyze them for a while.
The Tigress stood very slowly. She stood in the middle of waist-high brush. The little container was hidden in her fist that she kept stiffly at her side. All she had to do was toss it against a tree, not breathe in, and run. Fast. The potion was fast-acting, and by the looks of the large Wolf anthro from the night before and the even larger Dragon beside him, it would take hold, but only for half the day.
She hissed and Vadi curled even deeper into her hair. She didn't exactly know why Vadi was terrified of those of his own kind, but she didn't intend on finding out while one stood only a few feet away. "I was only passing through," she lied, "I will leave if you grant me safe passage." Another lie.
