"Hmm?" Ilyana looked blankly at the dagger as she suddenly felt something around her leg and the next thing she knew, she was hanging upside down from a tree. One hand went to her skirt to keep it from falling and showing off her underwear. Ilyana blinked as she looked around and shrugged and took another bite of the fish she still had in her hand. she continued eating it until she was done and was soon at work swinging herself back towards the vegetable skewers.

You'll never expect what you can't see... The elf glared from his spot, realizing the woman was relatively unfazed by being caught. He finally dropped down from the trees and into the light of the fire. He had a strange, nearly manic, grin his face. Kicking the leaf pile, the dagger flipped up and he caught it in his right hand. "You know... that meal wasn't meant for another traveler; someone was going to eat it." He began to look her up and down slowly. However, his intent of now is still unknown.

thain89 You'll never expect what you can't see... In his mind, Dark began to question it himself. His eyes fell away from Graff and he didn't speak immediately. When he finally did, his answer wasn't too reassuring. Looking down, he said, "... I don't have a home." He really had little to nothing to return to at this point, besides the band of thieves he left at the human village two and a half days to the west. But could he really return... and be as ruthless as he once was after all that has happened?...
...then, one day, it'll bite ya Graff look away from Dark "Home sometimes isnt where you born or grow up... home is the place where you want to live, with people that you care for... you may have a long life before you... but its up to you what to do with it, good or evil that isnt matter, just live well warrior, make that at least somebody in some place remember you and your name, dont throw away your life and skill just like that guy I told you about"

Ilyana shrugged and continued to reach for the vegetables. "Don't care. I'm hungry, so I eat." she continued to try and swing towards the food, not really making it. She eventually stopped and just hung still for a moment. She then pointed to one of the vegetable sticks. "Could you hand me that?"

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((I hope WMK logs back in soon...))
Dark continued to stare down. 'Where would I want to go - where could I go? Who would care for a wretch like me?... As for my name, how is anyone to remember it when even I don't.' Dark sat there and mulled over Graff's words for a bit. He said nothing. Finally, he stood up and slowly started to walk away. He really didn't care that a match was about to begin.
The elf's face fell flat with the girl's nonchalant response. She was definitely no fun. He walked forward and grabbed one of the three kabobs and held it not nearly within her reach only to pull it back and take a bite from it himself. He took a few steps back to make sure he was also out of her swing radius, and sat cross legged, eating calmly. Despite the etiquette within his eating, it was beyond obvious his taunting of her. With only the few bites already taken, this stick was already a third gone. The elf only stared at the woman between chewing.

Ilyana narrowed her eyes at the elves, obviously knowing what he was doing. She reached into her cloak for her tome, which somehow stayed on her body, and then ripped out a page. Thunder suddenly rained down and blasted the two sticks still near the fire. Ilyana shrugged. "you have the last bit of food...and I get very very hungry...and when I get hungry..." Ilyana suddenly bent up, catching her ankle with her hands and forcing herself up. There was interesting sound, almost as if the rope was starting to break. Ilyana's hunger was getting fierce. she was chewing the rope.

Graff watch as Dark goes, rises his hand to try to call him, but didnt say anything "... fool... you can have any name you want, either if you cant remember or dont have a true name... you make your own name and your own legend, thats how the people you care for are gonna remember you..."

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Sorry for disappearing the past few days.))
The watching elf was confused as she pulled out a book. Caught off guard by the attack of light and sound, he only stared where the lightning hit. 'A- a mage? This was unexpected.' His ears twitched to the minor squeaks and cracks of the rope as it was being mangled. He slowly turned his head. The girl had managed to contort herself and was breaking free. How... interesting.' Still holding his half-eaten meal-on-a-stick, he stood up and took a step back, pulled out his dagger and held this sharpened-twig kabob as a second weapon, hoping to be ready for anything.
Dark had meandered out to the grounds. The sun was an annoyance this early in the morning - so bright. He continued walking to the east until the shadow of the trees hid his face. He approached the closest of these leaved giants. He scowled, unmoving. It wasn't the tree he was mad at, his focus seemed distant, uncertain. Suddenly, he pulled out his dagger and began striking the tree repeatedly. An intensity inside was beginning to grow. He had to find an outlet somewhere. The magics flowing out of the dagger seemed intense. Upon each strike, a black smoke rose and dispersed into nothing. The tree itself seemed to be burning and rotting at the point of impact. Small shavings were flying off to the sides. Thankfully, this particular tree had a wide enough base to not matter such a small portion of it becoming worthless. It would stay standing - but for how long?...

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((As we are having issues with this delay, I assume it is best that we just time jump to after the fight. The fight will be posted here.)) The two fighters turned to leave the field. Par'il walked over to Siom and raised his hand towards him. The teal barrier faded. Siom finally regained a regular stance. He held a hand to the back of his neck. "I can't believe I actually lost this one. I suppose it's been too long since I fought with mages." "I am sorry about that," Par'il stated, bowing slightly to Siom. "It's alright, that's what we're here for after all." Siom grinned. Par'il returned a small smile. The contestants left the field: Siom back to Kayla, Par'il headed up near Graff once more. "It's still hard to take in. Caught in a paralysis barrier of all things! I'm so stupid, I let my guard down! Ahh!" He was mostly talking to himself, his own disappointment. It must've seemed awkward to Kayla and her father. Par'il slowly approached his friend. "Do you mind if I sit with you?" It just now registered Dark was still gone, however, one question at a time would be best. ...then, one day, it'll bite ya

Kayla simply smiled as she heard Siom. "Well, at least you did your best!" she said. Isaac simply nodded in agreement, smiling as well.

You'll never expect what you can't see... Siom looked to them and then away again as he blushed. The truth was, it was a fluke. However, he didn't want to admit any error, even one as small as this, to a warrior of such caliber as Isaac. Either way, he chose to ignore the whole scenario from this point out. He turned back to Kayla, "Anyways, there was something you wished to talk about before I left for the match?"
Dark continued to sit under the injured tree. Finally awaking from wearing himself out, the assassin merely threw his head against the tree and watched the sky.
