ha you know you're a band nerd when you clean out your cabinet after marching season to prepare for concert, and half your wardrobe is in it along with music, instruments, food, and other nessecities.
i took out two trashbags full of clothing and drinking glasses, jackets, bags... the works, from my cabinet. the trumpet players had their own little clothing, Left over Dennies and takeout box mold farm growing in theirs.
we tried to throw it away several times... they took it all OUT of the trashcan to put it back in their cabinet. the styrofoam started molding.
so you also know you're a band nerd when you grow pets based solely on good ol band memories.

Rema Suzuki Kalei Kainani DiddleFreak61387 You know your a band nerd when you know the tone of the school Bell C#, Bb, then F# Our's is either an A or a C.... I can't remember ;.; Ours is a B, but it's so sharp it's nearly a C. It's awful to hear when we're in the middle of band class O_o

you know you're a band nerd when... you start having nightmares about being in a band festival two hours away as the only one from your section and you remember that you forgot your music-after you've already arrived. eek

you know youre a band geek when you get excited about being in a marching uniform, and you know youre a band geek when you ahave a hoodie that says so (its a band fund raiser) You know youre a band geek when you call youre health teacher (coach) a biggoted pathetic idiot and a poor excuse for a teacher and a man for telling cruel band geek jokes in class. You know youre a band geek when you write a paper on marching band injuries and threw it in teh teachers face saying MARCHING BAND IS MORE OF A F***ING SPORT THAN ANYTHING YOU'LL KNOW YOU PATHETIC EGOTIST

You know when you say "Break a Key" or "Lose a slide" or "chip a reed" before each concert
You can figure out what note the refridgerator gives out.

Ok i don't know if anybody has put this but yea:
if you roll-step in the lunch room so you don't spill your lunch
if you yell LEFT LEFT LEFT in the hallways
when you are in step when you walk in a group
when you instrument is your life
when you name your instruement
when your uniform is comfy
you can't wait till band class
marching is fun
you always step off with your left foot
when you wish that band camp was longer
competitions are alot of fun
you have won more trophies for the school than the sports teams combined
when getting runned over by a bass drum is normal
when you guess the tempo of your favorite songs
when you have marching/concert music in your mp3/i-pod
when being late is a bad thing
you talk to your instrument (like say sorry after dropping it) - done that
when you marktime during your fav. song
when you try directing while listening to your fav. song
when gloves are fun to wear ^^
You don't mind changing on the bus w/ guys on it

You know you're a band geek...
When your band director suggests medical help for your obsessive compulsive disorder for band. (My BD did this to me today.)
You steal your sibling's band shirt to wear tomorrow.
You tell your friends all to where their band shirts tomorrow as well.
You make up a "Going to the Band Room" song.
You ask to have the band director's car for no reason.
And he says, "No, but you can have the other band director's."
You've given your band director a high five so many times that he automatically gives you one every time you pass by.
You've gotten your BD's spit on you at least once.

Masquanade You know you're a band nerd when you dressed up in your old band uniform as your halloween costume. I didn't do it . . . but someone else did sweatdrop You know when you're a band nerd when you start comparing your sheet music to your friend who's in a completel different school....but for Halloween, this crazy kid (boy who plays baritone) decided to wear the gaurd uniform for his outfit...apparently the gaurd uniform that year was a pink dress...so it wasn't a pretty sight sweatdrop gonk xd

You know you're a music nerd when:
You start an argument with your friend about the tempo of an "in" song.
You cringe at the sound of a horribly out of tune note in a song that you have never in your life heard before.
You start humming your part perfectly without realizing it until someone points it out to you.
You know you're a strings nerd when:
You laugh when someone says: "I broke my g-string." because you know what it means.
Sword fights with bows happen quite often between you and your friends.
You hide the class' rosin just for fun.

You know you're a band geek when....
You teach your self to play popular songs... Not on the guitar/bass/drum set, but on the rosewood marimba. (The entire band section was yelling at me today because I was playing the vocal melody from 'Tom's Diner' by Suzanne Vega on the xylophone.)
You listen to instrumental movie soundtracks... and they take up at least half of the space on your mp3 player of choice. ( I happen to be in love with the LotR soundtrack, since we played it for Festival. Ha, I could even sing the entire melody, with harmony, before we even saw the music.)
