Collowrath Also, I wish that I could wrap my head around Irish spelling. I can't. Irish spelling doesn't work. Irish was never meant to be written by such a limited alphabet, too many phonems. Even the introduction of the fada, the urú and the shéimiú do nothing to ameliorate the problem.

Unfortunately, Irish has used the Latin alphabet for so long now it probably wouldn't work too well to just remove it and start from scratch. Celeblin Galadeneryn So that's the problem behind the way too many consonants thing I see. Celeblin? Meet "zmrzlina" and "strč prst skrz krk." =D Vowels? WHO NEEDS 'EM?

Some people seem to have trouble with R's and L's as vowels. We've got a lot of interesting consonant clusters in the tool shed.
